With the latest update, if you manage to run out of stalk and are still losing then that's a skill issue. No offense. I have played him constantly since his buffs and have never once come close to running out of stalk.
I agree that they should add something extra to tier 3. Preferably faster pallet breaking to go with the mega lunge and fast vault speed.
-
Remove generators. They are just time consuming and boring.
-
More cosmetics for Michael and Laurie.
-
I've had the bloodweb error a couple of times. But that's about it.
-
The map has too many background noises. Its distracting.
-
Nice. Congratulations.

Iโm a huge fan of being the change you want to see. The above people have demonstrated a willingness to be that change while remaining their authentic selves. I see Dbd reflected in every single person listed and on this forum. These people will give you the best that they have to offer. Why not match that passion and be the change you want the dbd community to become? Why not? It can happen. They can help you get there.
I wanted to thank @For_The_People for being the first person from the forums that Iโve ever played Dbd with. He is a very sweet person who will give you his time of day in earnest if you need him to. Heโs one of the prime examples of politeness in this community. Thank you for being a positive force in the community. ๐๐๐
Lastly I need to thank @solarjin1 . What can I say? When you meet a friend that gets you, you both just know it. Her courage to be funny and humorous are so infectious. She told me that the small pallet in rpd was the most op pallet. I was so naive of game knowledge that I believed her! LMAO! After that I realized that it was anything goes when it came to humor with her. Iโm at my best when I can be silly. Solarjin1 is that friend who brings out the best in me. Because many people see it as 1v1v1v1v1 even bhvr kill rate is based on this. On that basis a killer can get 1k and say they won against that survivor so 1k is considered a win...a small win but still a win. So if a killer gets 1k and wins v that survivor then they should take the win and allow survivors a cheap escape for doing nothing? No they go for 2nd kill... then 3rd then 4th. 4th being the tricky one because of hatch so killers play around it. The fact that you close yourself from the discussion shows your unwilling to listen or learn about others views and opinions even if you disagree with them. But each to their own, can't force you to discuss the matter further any more than you can force a killer into not preventing the hatch going for the 4k lol.
I wouldn't be too sure about that. There was a hell of a lot of questions about slugging in the latest satisfaction survey. I wouldn't be surprised if all this slugging for the 4k nonsense has made way for some upcoming changes to slugging.

They won the match according you, but maybe not according to the killer, that's my point. No where does it say in the game win or lose, it's all subjective. If I get 2k Vs a team of hackers I consider that a win. If I stomp the team before they get even close to doing all gens and 1 still makes it out then I don't consider it a win. You basically dismiss all the things that a killer might want or feel a win grants them. But your not willing to dismiss anything the hatch gives a survivor. I can say "oh extra BP and don't lose MMR... Good reason to try hide and escape a match they already lost." It's survivor entitlement, expecting another shot at escape when they failed." Makes way more sense for a killer that's won to get 4k than a survivor that's lost to still escape, if killer lost the match and was expecting a kill you might have a point but to reward the loser with another escape option and deny the winner a 4k is very strange.
Subjective. How does the majority of the team being killed count as subjective for a win or loss. Three of them died. That's like saying you did well in an exam even though you got most of the questions wrong.
I'm not dismissing anything the killer might want or feel. I said they're entitled to slug for the 4k if they want it that bad, it just sucks that they do it because other players have to have their time wasted staying in a match that's already over. Its understandable if its for an adept achievement, you need the 4k and adept is hard as it is. Anyone can understand why a killer would go to such lengths to secure a 4k in that scenario.
The hatch is in the game for a reason. To give the last survivor a chance at escaping. I never said the last survivor is entitled to escape. You said the last survivor could just give up because they lost the match. I said they shouldn't have to hand themselves over as a free kill and deny themselves a chance of escaping just to satisfy a player's ego of wanting a 4k just so they won't have their time wasted having the killer bleed some poor player out while they hunt all over the map for the last one.
Just call it for what it is. Players want their 4k win because it simply looks better to them than a 3k win. But a win is a win. As I said before its no knock against the killer if the final survivors is lucky enough to find hatch or get an exit open because of bad exit gate RNG.
Anyway this is my last response in this discussion because its just getting repetitive now. There's no reasons that anyone can offer that would make it sound justified beyond going for adept or trying for Myers' evil incarnate.

True death is no escape, but if survivor can't do gens they have failed. If survivor can't get hatch, they failed. If they can't open gates before the time expires they failed. Personally that's too many chances, so when survivors fail at doing gens it's gameover. That's why when I'm able to, if there is 2 v 1 and I can't find the 4th after slugging the 3rd I keep both alive so there is no chance of escape. Can't get hatch because there's still 2 people left, can't do gens clearly otherwise why hide it out for so long? No escape, hiding at that point is futile and accomplishes nothing because if they keep hiding they both die. If killers want 4k for ego reasons then survivors want to hide in a futile match for toxic reasons. But you say why should you just die when you have a chance to escape. Why should killer just allow the hatch potentially allowing a survivor to escape? You say the killer won but not everyone considers 3k a win. This 3k being a win is mostly from MMR going up when there's 3k. MMR that no one can see or cares about. So it's perfectly reasonable for some killers to not consider 3k a win as it doesn't count towards achievements, gives a lot less BP, miss out on mori.
There's very little a killer can do to look good in survivors eyes to be honest, can't slug, can't tunnel, can't camp, can't use noed even have salt comments about using light born as a crutch lol I know I'm not the only one that gets this. So in light of that, I really don't think many killers care if they look good or not for slugging for 4k. Killers can end it quicker yes. But like or not, so can survivors by a acknowledging they have lost and can't win.
Because they still won the match that's why. Its just pure ego to go to those lengths just because you want a 4k. There's nothing reasonable about that. Its got nothing to do with MMR. A 3k is a win. No survivor team who had three of them die can say they won lol. That's absurd.
What achievements, other than adept and Myers' evil incarnate, are they missing out on if one person escapes a trial. Missing out on a mori or BP (as if they BP for one extra kill is so substantial). Yeah those are great reasons to keep someone staring at the floor for several minutes instead of just letting them move onto the next match.
Don't move goal posts. We're not talking about camping and tunneling or using Noed. We're talking about slugging for the 4k. Its flat out false to say someone having a shot at escaping should just hand themselves over as a free kill so the killer's ego will be satisfied and end the match they already won.

On the flip side a survivor will hide even tho they lost. If a survivor is willing to hide in an already lost match then people can expect killer to slug an already won watch. Survivor wants a hatch in a match they lost killer wants Mori in a match they won. Still makes both sides to blame for the prolonged match. To be fair tho, I know if I'm survivor and I'm slugged and my team mate heals me I'm making sure we both die quickly so I'm not stuck in a match I lost. Kinda why it's handy to keep the 3rd alive... Give them an option of end it fast by running away from me towards the other player or end it slow via server end timer
That's not the flip side of it. A survivor still has a shot at escape. As the game says in the intro death is not an escape. So why should you just die when you have a chance to escape?
Whereas in the killer's situation they killed the majority of the team. They won. It's not a knock against your skill as a killer if one survivor is lucky enough to get the hatch or open an exit.
The killer in that situation has the power to take their win and end the match. Instead many will subject someone to bleeding out on the floor while they search high and low trying to find the final survivor. All because they just want that perfect shiny 4k.
There's no scenario, other than doing adept, where the killer looks good for putting a player through a bleed out on the floor just so they can have a perfect 4k. They're entitled to of course, but it sucks to stretch a match out and waste people's time for ego reasons like that.

It always comes down to this...if the match isn't winnable then why not go for the hatch? Because the match not being winnable is a loss lol. Hiding for the hatch is basically bashing your head against a brick wall trying to get a win from a lost match, especially if the killer stops the slug from bleeding out (which I have done 3 times tonight because last survivor refused to come out of hiding) no idea why people can't take the loss and just move on
Exactly. It's a loss. But one person has a shot at escape. But it's still a win for the killer. But many killer players will still bleed someone out trying to find the last survivor because they just want that 4k.
Even though they already won.

For 4min max. Games dragged out longer because killer just has to have the 4k? True but you neglect to mention it's also due to survivors unwilling to heal team mates and just hiding out because they just have to get the hatch.
It's got nothing to do with survivors not healing their team mates. Any killer player that's willing to bleed someone to death trying to find the last survivor is going to do it regardless of whether they're healthy or not. That killer player is determined to get their 4k.
Why shouldn't the last person hide for hatch? If the match is not winnable with only two survivors left then why bother bashing your head against a brick wall trying to win something you cannot win.

Again, what is the killer supposed to do?
Let's say I've got 3 survivors left. I slug one, then chase the person waiting to pallet save and slug them too.
If I hook one, the third survivor who's probably hiding in a bush or a locker nearby gets the other up and now they're both hiding. A game that would have been over in 4 minutes max is now going to last until it times out.
I think a lot of killers would also be much more willing to give hatch/gate if survivors would just leave and not sit there to teabag.
What do you mean what is the killer supposed to do. Who's putting the gun to their head and forcing them to drag out a match and leave someone slugged because their ego is not content with a 3k.
Nobody. That's their choice. I don't know where you're going with the hypothetical scenario you just conjured up there. I am talking about when there's two survivors left, one gets found and caught, left slugged for several minutes because the killer for what ever reason other than pride or ego, just has to have the 4k so badly that they're willing to waste people's time and drag a match out longer than it needs to be.
It's a common occurrence.
-
Definitely not an exaggerated problem. I see it so often. Games dragged out longer than they need to be because the killer just has to have the 4k. Some poor soul is left on the floor getting their time wasted for several minutes because of it.
-
They buffed my boy Mikey. I can forgive any sins they made this year.
-
Both times I had to get this I just got lucky. First time was when the killer just went afk after they killed the third survivor. The last gen was 50% complete so I just finished it and left.
The second time a kindly Spirit let me finish the last gen and go out the exit gate. It was like she knew I needed it.
-
I've not experienced this. I've played him a lot since his update.
-
Two changes I would love to see for tier 3;
- An activation prompt for tier 3, just like with Oni's power.
- Break pallets faster in tier 3 to go with the mega lunge and fast vaulting speed. It would be lore accurate too. When Michael is full on after Laurie in the big chase finale, he's just putting his fist through doors, and smashing down closets to get to her.

He's always needed map offerings for manipulating getting indoor or outdoor maps, but the ratios were designed so that he stalked a lot faster at closer ranges, I.E catching survivors who are not attentive regarding his TR, or sneaking in microstalks where he knew he wouldn't gain ground being looped. Both of these issues were worsened in exhange for making making him rely more on long distance stalking, which can both be countered easier (further and smaller = easier to block LoS with obstacles) and requires him to close more distance when he gets his 99 (as opposed to being directly behind someone at a loop to get his 99.)
Basically every situation where he is forced to stalk up close, which is why I centered around indoor and corn maps. This is why he is more map reliant now, because before it was just trying to get indoor for specific builds, while now he specifically wants outdoor maps with both minimal obstructions and vantage points where he can blend in better while stalking. Before it was more about indoor vs outdoor, now there are more factors that matter and vary depending on his build. And since people absolutely love using map offerings for whatever busted map they want, he needs to be able to mitigate the maps that are especially bad for his current build too.
Every map has close range stalk potential, while multiple do not have long range stalk potential. It helps him more when its there, and hurts him more when it is not.
That's just not true. None of it. For a start relying on the stupidity of survivors not being attentive to his terror radius (which he never relied on btw) has nothing to do with maps. Stupid survivors oblivious to their surroundings will be stupid on any map. Second sneaking in micro stalks at loops is more time consuming and far far far less efficient than what he can do now by basically getting tier 3 ready to go after 7 seconds of stalking at a distance, which is far easier to do now because they don't even see you, and if they eventually do spot you way off in the distance its too late. Every single open map has the potential for that too.
Outdoor maps don't present any serious issue. All of them, every single one, has spots where he can sneak stalk from a distance. Obstructions don't matter because most of the time they're not even being used against him because they don't even notice him stalking from far away. Whereas before he had to get close to get good stalk and was much easier to spot, and those obstructions could be used to block him, and he'd be running around these loops trying to get slivers of stalk every time a survivor popped into view for a couple of seconds. Far less efficient than what he can do now.
So again I can't wrap my head around what you're saying because its just not the reality of any of the gameplay I've played or seen others play. Please if anyone can show me otherwise with some gameplay examples I'd love to see it. Otherwise this is just agree to disagree because its just getting repetitive now. I've been hunting down any content on the updated Myers I can find to see how people are finding him. Maybe finding new builds and strategies that I haven't discovered. When people are encountering serious issues with a killer's power its pretty commonly shown across the board as an issue that people will bring attention to with videos. I'm still waiting to see this one. It might help me understand why you think its an issue if I could see someone struggling with it on an open map.

I did not just say maps, I said indoor maps. I also implied that there are multiple maps where stalking from a distance is simply not possible, meaning the stalk he is required to do up close is worse than it was before. If I specifically mention maps like Lery's, will that help? Big part of why I mention corn maps is because there is very rarely any elevation that is not extremely visible to the survivors, so there are no real vantage points. Many of these maps required more close range stalking simply for the average visibility distance to stalk with, not necessarily only because it used to accrue faster at close range.
I do not think that he is worse on all maps, not at all. Maps where there is verticality that doesn't stand out absolutely benefit from the change, like ormond, autohaven, and crotus. But on corn maps there is little ability to stalk at a distaance without elevation, and you stand out like a sore thumb if you get any. Likewise with indoor maps you generally only have a longer LoS if you're looking down a long hallway, so most of your stalking will be at closer range there as well.
If you're talking strictly about indoor maps then yes I agree its been made tougher on them. Though I have to say Gideon and RPD are not half as tricky as Midwich and Lery's, They're all still doable, again you can watch that video I posted for some good tips from a pro Myers player on it. But its needlessly awkward and that's why I think they should buff the up close stalk multiplier to 0.6 or 0.7 at least. That and change his iri add ons because their current stalk necessity is absurdly hard. 400% is ludicrous.
But in regards to the maps I was looking at your "Unfortunately there are entire maps where inverting the stalk rates will hurt him quite a bit more than actually help. If anything it kinda makes him rely more on map offerings than he already did" comment. Before the outdoor open maps were tougher because it was easier to see him coming and run away. Whereas indoor maps he thrived because he had easier times getting close to survivors unnoticed. Open maps make up the majority. Now its the opposite for him. He thrives stalking on open maps, and its tougher on indoor maps. So most maps in Dbd are now good for him. If anything he's far less reliant on map offerings than before.

I did read past the first sentance, and didn't see anything about indoor maps until the very bottom, which I admittedly missed the first time. As for the corn issue, it still applies regardless of the map size. My point still stands that some maps are actively worse for him then they used to be with this change, and that the statement I was responding to is not exactly accurate.
Edit: I should mention I agree with a lot of the rest of the post, and it's not an attempt to try to undo your argument by addressing it.
How are maps actively worse for him than before. Before he had to get up close to them to stalk efficiently and they could see him coming and run off before he could even get close enough, and make distance which made his stalking worse. Now you can stalk far away, find all kinds of sneaky vantage points to stalk them, and 99 that tier 3 and they don't have a clue they're even being stalked. Whereas before you had to be close to them and was far less viable because they would run as soon as they saw you coming. Getting out of tier 1 pre update was even worse. The tier 1 buff, moving at Huntress speed now and only needing half the stalk you needed before to get tier 2 has been another significant quality of life change that's made it so much easier to play him now.
Again this has been my own personal experience as well as the experience of every player I have witnessed playing new Myers. Stalky boi, Farmer John, D3ad plays, Zubatlel, SupaAlf etc. As well as a bunch of lesser known content creators and Mikey mains like Dookrai and jjpokey. None of them have been struggling in scenarios some people here are claiming are issues. So I still don't get these complaints. That's why I'd love to see some gameplay.
-
I think everyone agrees his iri add ons were overly nerfed.
But until they fix it, if at all, just use the piece. It's actually more viable now with his stalk buffs.

It's easy to stalk and not have them see you because you're far away.
And what about indoor maps? Did they ever update his stalk to work through corn? (honestly don't remember, but I remember that being an issue as well.)
Unfortunately there are entire maps where inverting the stalk rates will hurt him quite a bit more than actually help. If anything it kinda makes him rely more on map offerings than he already did.
If you read past that first sentence you quoted you'll see me address indoor maps. But if you want some good tips as well as actual gameplay examples for how to play indoor maps efficiently then here you go;
https://youtu.be/UqOjI4tX5vA?si=mGKL3amoyYJow_w2As for corn, it's not an issue since they neutered the Coldwind maps. The most problematic one from before, rotten fields, is the size of a shoe box now.
-
That just wouldn't work. Killers like Nurse, Chucky and Blight who are strong and oppressive would struggle to get matches. A few months ago I would have said Skull Merchant too but she's now the worst killer in the game. Completely neutered.

To get close to popping t3 you need the stalk... I've done it myself. Ran up to Myers so he couldn't stalk me and hid by a loop so he couldn't catch me. He was forced to abandon me and find someone else because I was too close for him to do anything and he was no where near T3
It's easy to stalk and not have them see you because you're far away. Plus as a survivor you don't know what team mates he's been stalking or for how long. You're taking an awful risk running up into his face. I don't doubt you ran up to a Myers and did that but I am calling skill issue on the Myers' part there. But then a lot of Mikey players make foolish mistakes like that when it comes to utilizing his power. The most common one being popping tier 3 when you can't guarantee a fast down instead of making sure you have them out of position or have caught them off guard when you pop it.
Aside from my own personal experiences playing him extensively since the update I have yet to see any gameplay from any content creator or streamer in general who has been struggling to get stalk off survivors. A lot of videos have been posted showing how doable it is. I'd love to see some evidence to the contrary.
Saying all that I do still think they should buff the up close stalk multiplier, but only because indoor maps exist and can make it needlessly awkward. On indoor maps Myers should be at his most threatening. It's still doable but it shouldn't be as awkward as it is.
-
I agree.
They also need to reduce the stalk penalty on the iri add ons. The current one is far too harsh. 400% stalk. You'll be there til next Christmas trying to get that combo going.
-
You're seeing more P100's because the prestige system is over two years old and players are inevitably going to have their favourite characters at P100 by now.
-
I've yet to encounter a survivor stupid enough to run towards me when they see me rather than away because they have no idea how close I am to popping tier 3.
But if you think running towards Myers is a viable strategy then please spread the word. Run towards him. Let's see what happens ๐
-
The Myers update is a W.
Tier 1 is no longer miserable thanks to the speed buff and only needing half the amount of stalk he did before to get to tier 2. Getting double the amount of stalk from survivors now guarantees you will have all the stalk you need and then some to win. I popped 12 tier 3's in one match yesterday. And I still had stalk left on the survivors I killed if I had needed it.
Anyone who is struggling on indoor maps with the up close stalking watch this video from another Myers main for tips and gameplay examples because it's not difficult at all;
https://youtu.be/UqOjI4tX5vA?si=RoSp46ldAwfOI1VaI do agree that his iri add ons were overly nerfed. They need to make some changes on that. But if tombstone is your thing it's still very viable with the piece. In fact you can easily get four kills with piece now under his new changes.

Nonsense.
Moving at 110% in EWI and needing 40% less stalk to get out of it is a massive buff. This was Myers' main weakness against survivors that knew what they were doing, making his early game very punishing for the killer.
Stalking at an up to 90% increased rate on distance is a massive buff. Not only are most maps open and allow for plenty of stalking on distance, with not few maps having vantage points from which you can stalk people across much of playing field, but stalking on distance is actually where you are most likely to be able to catch survivors unaware and stalk them for prolonged periods, because you are just a few pixels somewhere in the distance, sometimes nigh impossible to make out altogether because you're peeking out, over or through something.
Doubling the available stalk points is a massive buff. We went from only being able to get at most 7 EWIII to 15, being able to get up to 4 EWIII from any one survivor as opposed to only 2 (and only 1 from the survivor you stalked to get out of EWI).
This massive buff also benefits the busted Tombstone and infinite EWIII add-ons, as you are now able to go from EWI to EWIII by stalking a singular survivor when using them. One survivor caught unaware? GG. Sure you need to stalk twice as much for these, but not only will you stalk much faster on a distance than you used to, but since you only need to stalk one survivor rather than search for and follow multiple, you will still regularly end up spending much less time to get to EWIII with these add-ons equipped.
There is another notable buff hidden in the less obvious mechanics of Myers: When EWIII ends, Myers loses "100%" of his stalk meter, which however is merely 5 stalk points. That means as the threshold to attain EWIII increases with these add-ons, the amount of EWII you fall back to after EWIII ends also does. Someone forces a locker against your Tombstone Piece? No worries, even if you can't find and kill anyone else and your EWIII runs out, you will already have your EWII 66% full, making it incredibly easy to get EWIII again. With Judith's Tombstone you go back to 75% already done, regardless of killing someone of course.
But wait, there's more: BHVR didn't even increase the amount EW is drained by when you do end up killing a survivor with the Piece. That means the EWII you fall back to on a kill is also doubled, from former 25% to now 50%. So you kill someone with the Piece, stalk someone else for less than 10 seconds and there you have it again. And you only need a handful of seconds of stalk to go back to EWIII on Judith's Tombstone.
Myers has been buffed notably, the problems with the Tombstone add-on(s) have if anything only worsened despite already having been a big problem (at best they create a very boring match where Myers doesn't interact with survivors apart from staring at them and they eventually force a locker and then can't get unhooked, at worst it dooms a match for the survivors as someone gets instakilled early on), not even the silly interaction with Play With Your Food (a problematic perk in its own right) where literally killing someone does not consume tokens has been addressed, and the stalk rate reduction "up close" is much less severe of a nerf than people seem to assume it is - instead of literally capping his stalk rate at 40% for some range, it scales with distance, starting at this 40% minimum but increasing with every bit of distance; at the normal distances you stalk survivors over you'll already usually be at 60+% stalk rate, and that's still only ~10 seconds to go from nothing to EWIII.
I'm not saying he's been overbuffed, but it is disappointing that after all this time, the Tombstone issue has not only not really been addressed but arguably made worse. And while these are notable buffs, it is also disappointing that they didn't do anything more ambitious with the guy than number changes, nor any touch-ups to his visuals or perks (PWYF needing a rework, STBFL deserving a slight buff, Dying Light a notable buff), or to Haddonfield or Laurie's perks for that matter, all of which are also much deserving of touches.
Here's a Myers main testing out the changes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLhhjJaToy8
My goodness someone actually talking some sense about this and with some evidence to back it up too.
It's surreal some of the reactions I have seen to the stalk changes. Even I agree the stalking up close multiplier needs a bit of a buff, but people calling it a severe nerf, making him the worst killer in the game etc. I can't wrap my head around it.

At the least my main isn't this weak, and at least one of my other Killers in the roster just got a TON better too.
No offense but what was the point of saying this? It has nothing to do with the question asked in this discussion.

Those players are ridiculous. You don't even need to be playing Taurie to have that perk.
Back in the day how many people were using MFT with out being Gabriel. Just about everyone.

Some of the reactions to the Myers stalking from a distance buff have made me understand why the Devs ignore a lot of the player feedback.
Number 1 worst killer in the game? I can't....

More often than not I have seen killers let someone live because their team mates were doo doo. Dc'ing, killing themselves on hook etc. So in that regard it's like saying "I am sorry you got lumbered with such crappy team mates".
I always appreciate that because solo queue is rough.
