They buffed him, his T3 after rework lasted 45s but people complained so they buffed it back to 60s

People complained because they nerfed basically EVERYTHING about him. 24m terror radius in T2, 40m terror radius in T3, 40s T3 duration, the animation when you activate T3, plus the much weaker in the original rework.

If the 40s duration was the only thing, nobody would've cared.

Btw I don't think shortening the duration is the correct nerf. I think they should simply reduce his movement speed while dashing. Or maybe increase the cooldown after breaking a pallet.

  • 8 years later, still hasn't been nerfed. 🤣🤣 Gotta love Behaviour

  • @bunbun said:

Sprint Burst is the most powerful and easiest to use, yet the hardest to master, so I don't want to nerf it too heavily.

It would be best if the effect were limited to moving straight ahead, ending immediately upon turning.

Can we please stop acting like SB has some crazy high skill ceiling xD

    99'ing is incredibly easy.

i dont use it on my survivor, i use lith sometimes but otherwise i dont use exhaustion.

I dont think sb(and im a killer main) is really that big of a deal. granted ive played against sb since the beginning of the game so its just something thats a natural expected part of the gameplay loop these days and its not a huge deal to deal with. if all 4 survs run it its annoying but i think there are better perks to address. Lithe is far more annoying to me as sb people do it before your even in chase, lithe users do it the second you actually start the chase and then cancel the chase out. typically sb people dont truly wait for you to fully commit, they want to maximise their distance so they run early and if they are far enough away you just ignore them and they wasted it.

I strongly disagree about Lithe being a bigger issue.

As a Ghostface main, I can't tell you how many times I've snuck up on someone, fully stalked them, then right as I'm about to get the down they SB to main building or killer shack.

That turns an instant down into a long chase. I've lost countless games just because 1-2 survivors have SB. And if all 4 survivors have it?? Basically unwinnable, unless they're trash at looping.

And now that Vigil is meta, SB is even stronger AND more common.

  • As someone who is a P100 Trapper, most of the communities suggestions for buffs are TERRIBLE ideas.

Giving him all 10 of his traps at the beginning of the trial would make his basement camping and 3-genning 10x stronger than it currently is. Imagine playing against a Double Iri Trapper that can set all 10 traps in the first minute of the game.

Pally and MintSkull have made good videos about this topic. Everyone should give them a watch.

  • Isn't M2 the Slaughtering Strike button? (I play on controller so idk)

It should be changed to L1 (which I think is M4, the button to activate Evil Incarnatate)

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

This would just encourage staying near the hook and exposing any would-be rescuers with your power. I don't think we should be giving any buff to a killer that would only primarily serve to strenghten that playstyle.

I don't disagree that Ghostface needs more changes, but this is not the way.

    1. You can already do this as Ghostface. All you have to do is position yourself at an angle where the hooked guy can't get line-of-sight.

    2. There are plenty of killers that can do this. Myers, Bubba, Hillbilly, etc. (And do it better than Ghostface as well)

  • @UnicornMedal said:

The argument against this is "Killer has nothing else to do" but that's a not so subtle way of saying that consolation kills need to stay. If the trial isn't over, then all players should have the right to engage.

It's not a "consolation kill". All the survivors have to do in that situation is open the gates, then do a simple 2-man save. If they can't do that, then it's a skill issue on the survivor's part.

Also, if you view that as a "consolation kill" then I'm curious what your thoughts on the Hatch are.

  • @typervader said:

so bacailly you want it to be immpossible for survivors to pick up a survivor.

Just make it so that he can't TP to them if they're being healed from the dying state.

Very obvious fix. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to think of that one.

Survivors waking up after getting downed is stupid because: 1. If they wiggle out, get flashlight saved, DS you, etc, you now have to waste time putting them back to sleep. And 2. Black Box (his Iridescent add-on) is literally unusable right now because of it.

  • @TheGoon224 said:

This is just going to be a list of changes I want to see for Ghostface because of good the devs are at ignoring the issue so here list of changes that I want to see

    1. Reduce the SFX of Ghostface’s clothes.
    2. Rework chewed pen, lasting perfume, drop-leg, and Olsen’s journal.
    3. While Ghostface is in Nightshroud he gains the a 10% haste effect, this effect is lost once revealed.
    4. Locker hide: Ghostface can now hide in a locker where he looses his terror radius and red stain. While in a locker Ghostface can peak out of a locker to stalk survivors a normal stalking speed, Ghostface can not be revealed while in a locker.

Just thought this would be fun to do I don’t think any of these changes will happen, but aye who knows?

    Never cook again

    They don't care,

    It certainly feels that way

  • Guys let's nerf the C-tier killer

  • I think they should keep Judith's Tombstone, but completely rework the Piece.

Maybe it can extend Tier 3's duration by 20 seconds for each successful attack

  • @scoser said:

Unfortunately, BHVR is not allowed to modify the achievement for Xbox/PS as long as it is technically possible, according to Sony and Microsoft's rules around achievements. This makes it extremely unlikely they'd make changes to it for any other platform as well.

But if they changed the add-ons, then it wouldn't be technically possible, right?

  • Very well said. And I agree they should be 300%.

I actually conducted a little experiment, which I'll probably post later, where I played 10 games of double Iridescent Myers to see how long it takes to get Tier 3.

Pre-Update, when using Infinite Tombstone, I'd usually pop tier 3 when there's 2 gens left.

Post Update, in the 10 games I played, there were 3 games where I couldn't reach Tier 3 AT ALL. The survivors all escaped before I could even reach Tier 3.

There were only 2 games where I reached Tier 3 before endgame. In those games, the survivors basically handed me stalk on a silver platter.

You can't reach Tier 3 with both iri add-ons now unless the survivors are completely clueless

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/433741/can-we-finally-change-the-gen-speeds

i win 80% of my matches with one slowdown. you really dont need to run quad slowdown (or all that many at all tbh) to win, just need to manage your pressure as the game goes on.

You certainly need at least 1 slowdown perk if you're playing as an M1 killer (which is half of the killers)

  • Good idea.

I think one mandatory change that should happen is survivors not being able to reveal you on hook. Or at least reduce the range they can reveal.

I get that it was added to prevent camping, but:

    1. You can still camp as Ghostface, you just have to position yourself where they can't reveal you.

    2. Camping as Ghostface is stupid idea anyway.

    3. It's a massive annoyance. You get revealed from 30 meters away behind a rock by a hooked survivor

No its not in fact now the Kill combo is much easier AND you dont need double red to pull it off.

We're not talking about Tombstone Piece, we're talking about the double Iridescent add-ons.

I've played 6 games with double Iridescent since the update, in 4 of them, I didn't get to Tier 3 until the gates were powered. In one game, I didn't reach Tier 3 at all. The only time I reached Tier 3 early was in a game where the survivors basically let me stalk them.

That is utterly ridiculous. It needs to be lowered to 300% each.

  • Just go get the guy hiding around the corner

  • @zarr said:

    Nonsense.

Moving at 110% in EWI and needing 40% less stalk to get out of it is a massive buff. This was Myers' main weakness against survivors that knew what they were doing, making his early game very punishing for the killer.

Stalking at an up to 90% increased rate on distance is a massive buff. Not only are most maps open and allow for plenty of stalking on distance, with not few maps having vantage points from which you can stalk people across much of playing field, but stalking on distance is actually where you are most likely to be able to catch survivors unaware and stalk them for prolonged periods, because you are just a few pixels somewhere in the distance, sometimes nigh impossible to make out altogether because you're peeking out, over or through something.

Doubling the available stalk points is a massive buff. We went from only being able to get at most 7 EWIII to 15, being able to get up to 4 EWIII from any one survivor as opposed to only 2 (and only 1 from the survivor you stalked to get out of EWI).

This massive buff also benefits the busted Tombstone and infinite EWIII add-ons, as you are now able to go from EWI to EWIII by stalking a singular survivor when using them. One survivor caught unaware? GG. Sure you need to stalk twice as much for these, but not only will you stalk much faster on a distance than you used to, but since you only need to stalk one survivor rather than search for and follow multiple, you will still regularly end up spending much less time to get to EWIII with these add-ons equipped.

There is another notable buff hidden in the less obvious mechanics of Myers: When EWIII ends, Myers loses "100%" of his stalk meter, which however is merely 5 stalk points. That means as the threshold to attain EWIII increases with these add-ons, the amount of EWII you fall back to after EWIII ends also does. Someone forces a locker against your Tombstone Piece? No worries, even if you can't find and kill anyone else and your EWIII runs out, you will already have your EWII 66% full, making it incredibly easy to get EWIII again. With Judith's Tombstone you go back to 75% already done, regardless of killing someone of course.

But wait, there's more: BHVR didn't even increase the amount EW is drained by when you do end up killing a survivor with the Piece. That means the EWII you fall back to on a kill is also doubled, from former 25% to now 50%. So you kill someone with the Piece, stalk someone else for less than 10 seconds and there you have it again. And you only need a handful of seconds of stalk to go back to EWIII on Judith's Tombstone.

Myers has been buffed notably, the problems with the Tombstone add-on(s) have if anything only worsened despite already having been a big problem (at best they create a very boring match where Myers doesn't interact with survivors apart from staring at them and they eventually force a locker and then can't get unhooked, at worst it dooms a match for the survivors as someone gets instakilled early on), not even the silly interaction with Play With Your Food (a problematic perk in its own right) where literally killing someone does not consume tokens has been addressed, and the stalk rate reduction "up close" is much less severe of a nerf than people seem to assume it is - instead of literally capping his stalk rate at 40% for some range, it scales with distance, starting at this 40% minimum but increasing with every bit of distance; at the normal distances you stalk survivors over you'll already usually be at 60+% stalk rate, and that's still only ~10 seconds to go from nothing to EWIII.

I'm not saying he's been overbuffed, but it is disappointing that after all this time, the Tombstone issue has not only not really been addressed but arguably made worse. And while these are notable buffs, it is also disappointing that they didn't do anything more ambitious with the guy than number changes, nor any touch-ups to his visuals or perks (PWYF needing a rework, STBFL deserving a slight buff, Dying Light a notable buff), or to Haddonfield or Laurie's perks for that matter, all of which are also much deserving of touches.

Here's a Myers main testing out the changes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLhhjJaToy8

The part about being about to go from EW1 to EW3 with Tombstone / Infinite T3 from a single survivor is not true.

The Iridescent add-ons require 20 stalk points to get from T2 to T3, plus 3 points to exit T1.

Survivors have 20 stalk points each.

Since we're discussing Infinite T3, this add-on was nerfed way too hard. On indoor maps, you won't reach T3 with that add-on until the game is almost over. Which is ridiculous.

Anyone who thinks Infinite T3 is even remotely close to Tombstone in terms of strength, doesn't know what they're talking about.

Therefore, making it take 100% more stalk than Tombstone Piece is absolutely absurd.

It should be reduced down to at least 300%

Tunneling and camping do not have to be done. I 'win' most of my killer matches and don't camp or tunnel.

And if you're thinking that I must be low MMR because that can't be, there are also streamers presumably better than me who dominate every match as killer. The matchmaking is designed so the killer should be getting 3k or higher more than they get 1k or 0k. This need for tunneling and camping is a myth.

Also, tunneling and camping are objectively hostile toward the targeted player since they keep them from participating in the game except to be chased non-stop. It can make people wonder why they even play the game. These tactics are unnecessary, 'bad manners' toward their targets, and if done efficiently can put people at MMR higher than is appropriate for their skill level. When that happens, it often leads people to believe these tactics are necessary.

I'll cashapp you $100 if you can win 10 games in a row as Ghostface without tunneling

  • Stupid idea that people who don't play killer (or play killer in low MMR) say because they don't realize how much that would break the game.

Slugging is something that has to be done sometimes. Same with tunneling and camping. Sometimes you have to do these things if you wanna win.

Anyone who plays killer in high MMR knows this.

Casual players live in a fantasy world where they tell themselves "only trash killers tunnel😡" etc. When in reality it's just a part of the game. As killer, you have to do these things sometimes, unless you're okay with losing most of your games.

Guess what though? Don't like being slugged? There's perks for that. Don't like being tunneled? There's perks for that.

  • This is the worst idea I've ever heard in my entire life

  • What if I told you that you literally just described the Vanity Mirror?

Small TR instead of Undetectable, can be seen by aura reading abilities. That's the Vanity Mirror.

What they should do is simply make him 4.4m/s with Scratched Mirror, and make his lunge 0.4.

Why do survivors mains hate Scratched Mirror? Because he only hits & runs. Well guess what? If he was faster he wouldn't have to.

"But 4.4 Scratched Mirror would be OP"

The mere existence of Vanity Mirror is proof that that's not true.

  • How hard is it to add an activation button????

That was the one thing that everyone asked for.

  • Sounds like a good idea on paper, but this would actually be a really bad idea

  • PC players are having this issue too? I thought it was a PS5 thing.

Good luck, BHVR won't help us. I haven't been able to play killer since Thursday because of it.

  • I've been having problems for days. I've made a report twice. No luck. They keep giving me the "try restarting your console!" "try restarting your wifi!" blah blah blah. As if I didn't try that days ago.

For God's sake can anyone at BHVR please do something about this??

  • I've been having the same problem since yesterday morning. It's infuriating. And no one at BHVR has even acknowledged the problem even though multiple people have reported it.

  • @LeFennecFox said:

Isn't the entire point of the perk supposed to be hard mode

Yeah basically. I run No Mither occasionally for that very reason.

According to one of the developers, No Mither is supposed to be the "Start the trial injured" perk. Those were his exact words.

People who ask for No Mither to be reworked / buffed are completely missing the point of the perk.

  • Now I can't get back on. It's now saying I need an internet connection, even though I have one.

  • Okay it finally started working again after about 12 attempts. I'm scared to close the game though.

  • Yep. He definitely needs it.

Not gonna happen though. Its been 8 years, if they didn't do it when they updated Laurie, then they're never going to.

  • Holy skill issue.

Bubba is an average killer at best. Being able to down multiple people simultaneously with his chainsaw is the only thing keeping him from D Tier.

If anything, they should buff him. And rework his add-ons too, because many of them are garbage.

  • 4.3 m/s is still insanely slow.

He should be 4.6 in Tier 1, and the Scratch Mirror add-on should reduce it to 4.4.

There is no reason for him to not be 4.6 without Scratch Mirror.

If being undetectable was actually that big of a deal, Wraith would be the best killer in the game.

  • @RakimSockem said:

You ain't cooking bro. The "consequence" of following Ghostface to knock him out of his power is that he gets an indication of the direction you're looking at him from and he can just turn to you and now you're the victim of chase.

He has no chase power whatsoever. All he has is his stealth which can be denied by survivors.

You can reveal him from 20 meters away then immediately run to main building.

I think 20% extra stalk gain is a fair trade for in exchange for revealing him.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

As long as infinite T3 Myers exists, I don't want to hear a word about buffs.

If you think infinite T3 is OP that's a skill issue. infinite T3 is very easy to beat.
