I'm pretty sure BHVR is using Amazon Web Services for its server hosting, so you'd have to tell Jeff Bezos to build a datacenter in Russia, as there's not one there now.
-
The changes will be revisited after the next Skull Merchant rework in 3 years.
-
OP goes to a Chipotle, tells the staff how they want their burrito, then claims they should get it for free because it was "community created".
-
From 3 blood pumps within 2 feet of each other in the Blood Moon event to 5 gens within 20 feet of each other in the Anniversary event. I guess killers had to have something to compensate for the survivor powers this event.
-
When I try the "View this email in your browser" link, I just get a new window with "Failed to render message" as the only thing that pops up.
-
Pick an S tier killer with meta perks and do a lot of practice with them, that's what's needed if you want to winstreak. Or just accept the game as it is and be able to mentally take a fair amount of losses.
-
Thank you for this update, but the official announcement also reads to me as "the cake spawns were too generous last year and we're trying to figure out why so we can make the cake spawns even lower next year". If I'm reading that wrong, I apologize, but if I'm reading it right, please do not reduce cake spawns to be less than one per bloodweb in the future.
-
Don't worry, survivors in the event have 3875938753298739825738 other buffs as well, so they'll be fine.
-
At least 50% of my matches have all blood pumps spawning 10 feet away from each other and this cluster is halfway across the map from the closest blood gen. All the killer has to do is camp that pump cluster and you lose.
-
Everything about him is slow. Walk across the map to find a survivor? Takes ages. Chasing a survivor that got a head start? Too bad Trickster ate 50 hamburgers before the match. Try to throw knives? Might as well be walking through quicksand trying to do that and keep survivors in sight. Fewer knives so you're out almost instantly? Gotta waddle your butt across the map to a locker to restock. Maybe if I played him 24/7 I'd be able to trickshot and have S rank up constantly, but just trying him out for a few games after the patch is sapping my will to play him much longer.
-
Not working for me as intended.
-
Bringing this up because I'm annoyed by this as well. I can get a gold lightbringer emblem for doing gens in a single game, but not get 10 gen skillchecks in that game because of bad luck. Don't even get me started on 3 gens or 3 unhooks, which is usually a few games required to get each without luck. I'd love to not have to dedicate a whole hour a day just to keep up with dailies in order to finish the rift.
-
It's because you could double hook all 4 survivors but they all escape and they'll still spam "GGEZ BABY KILLER" in post-game chat after teabagging at the gate. They'll almost never say "good game, that was close" in that same 8 hook scenario.

I mean for survivors it will be ok, but killers really need to listen to the game, or be handicapped.
I strongly encourage all survivors to listen to the loudest music they can while I'm playing Ghostface or Wraith. Ghostface might almost get up to C tier if every survivor did that!
-
Just disconnect if you're having such a bad time and go play Civilization if you're not having fun, like the devs suggested in the past.
They're literally working on anti-tunneling updates now, and while their current effort on the PTB shouldn't have gone live, it was a decent start. -
It essentially means "not in a chase while within 10 meters of the killer" and you can break this up across multiple portions of a single match, it shouldn't need to be 60 continuous seconds.
-
Even if you do this, if a killer leaves a lobby, there's a good chance that no additional killers will ever join to replace them, so you've still got bugged lobbies in some cases.
-
In 20 games since the boost was announced, I got the new map twice. Thankfully, on the second try, a kind ghoul let me go after one of our players went AFK (because it was a ghoul) and I've gotten the achievement. Still, can't say that I saw the actual boost in that time, and may the rest of you going for this achievement also be as lucky.
-
Also encountering this, likely as a result of it being changed on the backend in the past day or so from a requirement of 12 to 1.

@ThatRyanB Can we come to a happy medium and make it featured for a weekend instead of how long FNAF was? To satiate the player base and all us achievement hunters. If you don't get it done then, then you just need ridiculous luck.
I'm fine to wait for a dedicated queue (even if it takes few weeks to set up if it requires a client patch) if BHVR can commit to it, I just don't want to fruitlessly grind on the promise of the current map boost that many of us aren't actually seeing in action.
-
I mean, also with all the hard tunneling, I'd need to see the map like 10-15 times to have a chance to complete the correct gen and also escape.

Do you recommend not using a map offering then since it is "boosted?" Because I have now used over 40 Withered Aisles and have yet to play it.
Yeah, I'm wondering if there was a mistake and they accidentally boosted Garden of Joy instead, because out of the 14 games I've played since the Community Manager post about the boosted rate, I've seen it about 4 times and the new map only once (I died, so no achievement there).
-
Please make sure the "greater chance" is 20%+ or so, so it's a meaningful chance and I don't have to spend every minute of my free time over the next week trying to complete this.
-
I would also appreciate the featured map queue for this new map being implemented.
-
They've been working for me.
-
Also less than pleased by this situation. Normally BHVR is all about showing off the new content (including maps) to get people to get the latest DLC, but it appears this map was forgotten about in that regard.
-
The annoying part is that everyone has to be a streamer and record every second of their games to catch the constant hackers, or you can't submit any reports that'll do anything. The game should track exceptions to the system so if you do an ingame report of speedhacking, the devs should be able to see that a survivor was moving around at 30 m/s without video proof.
-
For single player games, the Dishonored and Deus Ex (the two most recent at least) games are very enjoyable and even have achievements built around full stealth playthroughs. For coop, Payday 2 has many stealth heists that can be very challenging on the higher difficulties as well, as you're always on the verge of being caught.
-
Because MMR is so useless that you have to constantly be prepared to go up against some comp team going for survivor winstreaks even if you only have 100 hours in the game yourself. Every match requires you to fully lock in and almost any mistake can guarantee a loss.
On the survivor side, you might spend 75%+ of the game on a generator just clicking buttons if the killer is busy chasing the rest of your team. Or 75% of the game on a hook if you are hard tunneled, but that's more angering than stressful. -
Last time I saw a server list, it appeared to be using Amazon Web Services regions as the locations, so you can google that to see what BHVR likely has to work from, should they choose to do so. As for Africa specifically, AWS has a datacenter in South Africa.
-
I'm a huge fan of the overall aesthetic (especially the cosmetics) and will definitely miss that if they go for a different theme next year. Also, I'm a fan of Tryks and it's a shame that there's not some event toggle in the settings where you could have her on full blast if you wanted to or at her current almost muted state.
-
MMR has always been terrible since the playerbase told the devs in a survey to concentrate on lowering queue times over actually matching for skill. Blame yourselves for this situation.
-
Houndmaster is too riddled with bugs for anyone but a masochist to play. You'd have to have a humiliation fetish to enjoy getting stomped match after match as your dog gets bugged or you get slowed to like 90% move speed for an entire match due to a stutter bug that's going around as well. The concept is good for her, but holy crap is she frustrating to even try to play a single match on to grind some anniversary cakes.
-
Also have had this happen in multiple games on multiple maps, causing me to be slower than survivors. This killer should just be kill switched until this gets fixed to have people avoid wasting their offerings and addons on a guaranteed loss.
-
@Mandy said:
So whilst the number of cakes throughout any level has dropped slightly from last year - the issue was particularly relevant with Level 50 bloodwebs where often there were none of the offerings available, this is what we addressed.
Damn, tariffs hitting DBD too.
-
The devs are planning for another theme for next year's anniversary. This is a real shame for me, because I love the aesthetic and the cosmetics are some of my favorites.
-
I ended up finding some memeing survivors in a game that were up to help me farm the last 10 or so grabs that helped me complete the achievement. Normally I'm willing to grind out stuff for achievements as well, but I'd prefer to play something other than Springtrap for a month or two straight to get 10 random grabs to finish it off.
-
Should be back for next year's Blood Moon event.
-
Good thing the Steam sale started today so we can all go buy and play CIv like the devs told us to do when we're frustrated with DBD! /s
-
But seriously, it's a huge pain. I've been playing Springtrap constantly since it came out (aside from sleep & work) and am still at 4/15, and two of those were either doing it for the memes right in front of me because they were about to be downed or had someone on the other end trying to blind me to get the stun drop. I think most survivors will probably never use them (even after today's fix) unless they see someone in a chase with you.
-
Yep, I've played several hours of springtrap and am stuck at 4/15. This achievement is roughly the equivalent of if they made Pig's achievement "get hat kills".
-
They did have increased spawn chances for a few days previously when new maps came out and people got mad about the repetition from that, so they came up with separate queues as a way to satisfy the people wanting to play the new map vs. people that hate seeing the same map more than once a day.
-
I used to burn map offerings for a few reasons:
- Map achievements: Since BHVR is doing the separate queue for new maps when they come out for a few days, it will help me out to get any new map-based achievements. RIP anyone trying to get Outbreak Breakout though.
- Tome challenges: I'd burn map offerings to make it easier to get "fall from a great height" or "Hit survivors when you're undetectable (via scratched mirror Myers"-style challenges, but since those have mostly gone away or since you can get progress on multiple quests now in the new system, I don't feel as bad about that.
Overall, I don't think it's a huge issue for me at least.
-
Yeah, I've been playing Springtrap all night and only got two ticks for this achievement, once I'm pretty sure was just for the lulz, since they used the door just as they were about to get downed. It might be a month or so straight of Springtrap games otherwise just to get this achievement.
-
I'd say I'm surprised, but since the "I'm a Human" CloudFlare check constantly errors out and I can't even get in to it, I'm somehow not surprised at all. The devs found a way to even keep even a simple website from working!
-
I can't log in to any BHVR account-based site because the CloudFlare "I'm Human" checkbox keeps throwing errors.
-
Go next prevention for sure. Having all the insta-suiciders on the first hook getting constantly banned for their jackassery will be fantastic.
-
If anything, they need to be tracking people going next right now and initiate preemptive bans the second the patch goes live for everyone that has been going next constantly up until this point.
-
As a survivor, it's nice because killers aren't usually going to end up with 4 regression perks. Killers are camping/tunneling the same amount as normal.
As a killer, it sucks because survivors often have 3 gens done before the first down unless you get lucky or you're playing a top tier killer and you usually have no regression at all. -
You'd be right if 2v8 wasn't Legion + Oni in 75% of the games.
