Back when I had a PS4 I remember Dbd used to make my console sound like a jet engine. It was the only game to have that effect too. Started when they released the Nemesis chapter. That patch broke Dbd on PS4.
Haven't had any issues on the PS5 thankfully.

I've yet to try him out since the changes but reading what they've done, I'm very happy I got the Evil Incarnate trophy the day before 2v8 started. That looks even harder to do now.
With the iri add ons it is. They were too harshly nerfed. But with the piece you can get four kills and it's even easier than before.
-
I played him for hours today. He felt so good. The tier 1 buff was heaven. The double stalk on survivors, I never ran out of evil within, and was popping tier 3's left and right. I strongly recommend trying lock of hair. 40 extra seconds on tier 3, with only 50% stalk required, you do so much damage with a single tier 3, and it doesn't reset the stalk meter back to zero when tier 3 runs out either.
I do agree that the stalking up close multiplier should be buffed a bit, I think to 0.6 at least. The iri add ons need some changes. The 400% stalk is ridiculous. Far too harsh. If anyone wants the evil incarnate achievement, go with the piece. You can get 4 kills with it, and its a lot easier.

He’s one dude. Not an accurate way to determine if it was a buff or nerf
I think the same thing every time someone quotes Otz in discussions like this.
We're just mentioning him as a Myers main who has a lot of experience with him, who shares our views, and has streamed his experiences with the updated Mikey for anyone to see what we're talking about. Nobody is saying he's the final word.

@Dwight_Fairfield Your thoughts, friend?
The only thing I agree with in this discussion is the up close stalk multiplier could do with a buff. But even at where it is it's not that bad.
I have been playing him for hours and haven't struggled once to stalk. I watched Stalky boi play him for a couple of hours too and he wasn't having any problems either. He was loving the changes.
So yeah can't say I agree with the majority in here.

But it is he who matters most.
I want to get my Mikaela up there with Freddy. will take a little while, but I'll do it.
What level is she at? The triple bp must be helping.
-
Medic and shadow were definitely the most common ones I saw.
-
They really are last minute dot com with these PTB patch notes.
-
You don't need the iri tombstone for the achievement now. You can get four kills with the piece under his new changes.
-
It will probably come on Tuesday.
-
It's depressing how badly they nerfed that map.
-
With the significant buff to tier 1 I really don't feel the need for Corrupt now. I think I will swap it out for lethal or maybe brutal.
Lock of hair is definitely going to be used. 40 extra seconds of tier 3 as well as it not resetting the stalk meter back to zero. Fantastic.
With double the amount of stalk on survivors now think how many 100 second tier 3's you can pop off.

Im glad your Mikey is finally getting some love dear friend :)
Thank you my robotic friend.
-
I will be taking corrupt off him as tier 1 has been significantly buffed. Not sure what I will replace it with. Maybe Lethal.
-
One of the joys of being a Mikey main, I know he will never talk.
-
I'm actually most excited for the Mikey changes. I can take or leave the new chapter.

I played as Freddy against a P100 Dwight just before 2v8 started. Could that have been you? I thought of you in endscreen when I saw he was P100
Was the name OneIrishJoker?
-
I was always curious if they pay attention to that, assuming many people actually use it. I never do personally.

Let tombstone Myers loose in 2v8 😈

Hands down the worst map rework they've ever done.

I thinks fair to be disappointed when these are the only real changes Myers has ever received and they still aren’t really going to make much of a different.
I don’t think I’d be happy if I waited years for my main to receive a single actual buff only to see it’s just some number adjustments. So I can understand why Myers players aren’t happy with this.
He's been my main since 2017 and I am very happy with them. He got some great changes that are going to make him feel so much better to play now.
He's moves faster in tier 1, Huntress speed now which will feel so good. He only needs half the amount of stalk he did before to get to tier 2. These two changes have just eliminated his problematic early game he had. He gets double the amount of stalk per survivor which pretty much guarantees he'll never run out of stalk (you can pop up to 14 tier 3's now which you won't even need that many to win). This means you don't have be as conservative with your stalk as you did before, another major problem that's been solved. He stalks faster at a distance which is not only more tactically better but its more in line with his character too.
I don't know how anyone can be disappointed with these changes. He's going to feel so much better to play. Not to mention tombstone piece actually got buffed. You can get 4 kills easily with it now with his new base kit buffs.
I still would like more for him, like being able to break pallets faster in tier 3 to go with the mega lunge and fast vault speed. I would also love an activation button for tier 3, like with Oni's power. I think the nerf to the iri add ons was a bit much, but the piece compensates for it. I've seen a lot of people ask for him to have a normal lunge in tier 1. I would be ok with that.
They did well with the Mikey changes overall. I hope he gets more.
-
In his defense it's Freddy. He needs all the help he can get to win. Even ruthless tactics like that.
-
RIP to a horror legend.
-
Use the piece. You can get four kills with it now under the base kit buffs.

It's not "rude" to say you have never played a killer, come on. Seems like I was wrong assuming this, but when your name is "Dwight_Fairfield", that you disagree with Otz and you say you want to "nuke" an average add-on because you basically don't care, it seems logical to assume this. Also to be clear, I'm not talking about the "unfun" aspect, that one is a valid criticism, but the strength of the add-on however is at this point objective: you will not find a single top player that tells you Judith's is good.
why would anyone care that they nerfed it if its not good anyway?
Because it literally goes against the whole premise of doing balance changes? We should nerf things that are strong, not things that are already weak.
I'll let you pass on that even though that's judging a book by the cover. I love Dwight. I love Michael too. They're my two boys on Dbd. I went with Dwight's name because he's an OG and I relate to his character a lot.
I never disagreed with strength of the add ons. Its for that fact that people wanted to see them gone in favor of base kit buffs. Insta kill mechanics have never ever been popular. Look at Sadako. We were all predicting tombstone piece would be nuked because its the stronger and more popular of the two. But they both survived it. I still maintain I don't think we'll feel the nerfs much with the stalk buffs.
A friend of mine is currently on PTB testing him. He's gone in with no add ons. Testing it with friends in a private match. So far he's popped seven tier 3's and everyone is still alive and nobody has turned remotely red yet for stalk juice. Its wild. I am loving it. Please give it a try yourself if you're a PC gamer.

So you can disagree with Otzdarva's opinion but in this case it's pretty apparent you have never played this killer to make yourself an opinion at all… Again, Judith's Tombstone is not Tombstone Piece. While Tombstone Piece allows you to quickly stalk and insakill survivor who you haven't seen in the entire game, Judith's Tombstone usually take 4 gens to charge up fully and by the time you have it everyone hides in lockers, no more "instakill". It's fair to say this playstyle is not to your taste but not acknowledging the difference between both add-ons is questionable as their playstyles are completely different. Judith's also has a -9% speed penalty which is huge and pretty much forces you to use PWYF.
Try it and you'll quickly reconsider. The reality is, Judith's is not a very good add-on.
And FYI even if you play only survivor this change will be detrimental. As it stands on PTB, Judith's Tombstone got nerfed a lot more than Tombstone Piece, so the logical result will be that more people will play Tombstone Piece.
I am a Myers main. Have been since 2017. I know all the ins and outs of him. But thanks for the ignorant assumption. You don't have to be rude.
I don't understand your logic. You've just tried to sell me the idea that Judith's tombstone takes forever to get going and they all just jump in lockers anyway. So if that's the case according to you, why would anyone care that they nerfed it if its not good anyway? You're just proving my point of why piece was more favored.
I've just been watching some people play him on the PTB. The base kit changes are fantastic. The tier 1 movement speed buff. The stalking at a distance is insane. Not to mention they decreased the stalk requirement to get to tier 2. It was wonderful. He's going to feel so much better to play. With the buffs to stalking I don't think he'll even feel that nerf to tombstone much stalk wise.
Agree to disagree but I think this is going to boost Mikey even more pick rate wise. Anyone who enjoys Myers will be loving these changes I think. Just my humble opinion as a long time Myers main.

Myers is currently the 7th most popular in the game, despite being a paid killer. Do you seriously think it will be the case if he becomes a killer whose only power is to expose survivors? When there are killers like Plague or Hillbilly who have almost the same effect, but are much more interesting to play, free, AND much stronger?
The community has not been asking to nuke the Tombstone add-ons they asked to nuke Tombstone piece. Check Otzdarva's Tier-list, he rates Judith's Tombstone as completely average.
Except its not his only power. He still has the mirror add ons and the piece is still strong.
Yes the community has been asking for years that they nuke tombstone add ons. The ability to just insta kill survivors has never been popular. No offense to Otz but that's his opinion not mine. He's not the final word on something Dbd related and he would be the first to tell you that himself.

Myers' base kit is boring and has nothing unique. Nobody will play him basekit, even with the buff.
The reason he's popular is because of Tombstone and the Mirror add-ons. Now that they obliterated Judith's Tombstone, half of the reason to play Myers is gone, hence his pickrate will drop. And this is a stupid change, because Judith's is by far the fun one for survivors.
No offense I am disregarding your first comment because that's personal opinion. There's a reason the community has been asking for years to buff his base kit and nuke the tombstone add ons. So I don't buy into your logic at all.
Again Judith's tombstone is not even the most popular of the two. The piece is. Always has been.

I don't see how these are good changes. They changed everything except the problem, which is the ability to 99% Tombstone and suddenly kill someone who you haven't stalked the entire game.
Judith's Tombstone also got unnecessarily nerfed. Only Tombstone piece needed a nerf. Judith's is not a good add-on, it's fun to use but requires to stalk all 4 survivors before you have a power, which is way too bad of a downside. Now that it's nerfed, I don't expect Tombstone to be any less frustrating, rather I'd expect Myers' pickrate to drop.
You don't see how buffing his base kit is good changes?
Piece is the more popular of the two tombstone add ons because it's easier to get going with no speed downsides when you hit tier 3. You can have someone dead at 5 gens. Why would you assume any of this would hurt his pick rate?
-
It's not a drastic nerf. You're rarely stalking up close anyway because survivors run as soon as they see you. The faster stalking distance is huge.

A fault of mine is that I don’t do good with numbers. Can you tell me, does the change to his movement speed affect his movement speed with Scratched Mirror? Is it slightly buffed, nerfed or the same?
Scratched mirror remains the same as before.

Yes, stalk from afar gives you more points, but for some reason looks like we still have to 99 our power instead of having an option to activate the tier 3, I think I'll post it in the ptb feedback section
Please do. I would love a tier 3 activation prompt.
-
They're all solid base kit changes. I like them all. Especially the tier 1 buff and faster stalk.
I would have liked a bit more like a buff to tier 3 such as breaking pallets faster to go with the mega lunge and fast vault speed.
I am stunned tombstone piece has remained.
-
There's a very easy way to do this with any killer. Hit them in the void.
-
Yes I have made several.
-
Yeah they gutted it into oblivion. Overly harsh nerf to it.
-
Mikey is definitely top tier in that regard. The whole stalking his prey, getting more powerful, creeping around waiting to strike is very much in character for him.
-
Edit. Nvm
-
The patch notes for the changes will probably be Tuesday.

Unfortunately it has been confirmed, yes.
Maybe there is a chance one or two aspects of his old power will return, but we are definitely not getting a full revert. This isn't how I wanted my campaign to end, but I did the best I could. I swear to you I did.
As for the post here, @fixblitzskin , I think Freddy has a chance to get more substantial changes simply because and it has already been done to him, and very few players like his current power. Number adjustments and tweaks to his existing power, even if they are significant, will not fix the problem of Freddy being boring to play. Nor will they restore his unique identity.
But we will have to wait and see what will be done to my favorite killer this time.
Look at it this way; the only way is up. What ever they have in store has to be better than where he is now.
In an ideal world they'd have contacted you to consult on it lol.

Ehm you're the one here assuming things and making what I said personal. I'm talking about myself and that I don't have the time to keep up with every update every single time, for some reason you felt spoken to and think it's rude? You're making it personal for yourself, not me. Someone else already answered my question.
Most people would have just said they missed it.
"No I actually have a life outside this game" was your response to me asking the simple question if you saw the road map they released. Now you're either blissfully ignorant of how that strongly implies what I said it does, or you're trying to white wash it by pretending that's not what you were saying.
-
I personally hope they give him a complete change from the ground up. Current Freddy doesn't feel like Freddy at all and is rather dull.
A lot of people want the original version of Freddy back. It was more interesting than what we have now. But I think they confirmed we're not getting that.
