You didn't have to go through that horrible grind the game was back then. Ergo, you do not deserve to have Legacy.
Now please stop screaming while I lacerate your back with my Legacy Azarov's Skull.

Where's my facepalm emoji when I need it.

Just because people disagree with you, doesn't give you the right to claim that they didn't read your thread. A non-issue is a non-issue, ranking included. It's on the Survivors to punish the Killer by cleansing Totems.

@Malestrom1313 He's played a couple of private killer games and he didn't do bad (as Hillbilly) and didn't have any complaints about any QTEs that he was unable to complete. I don't play Killer so I was unable to advise him if any of the other killers have QTEs or not. Do you know? I think we're going to try a public game today and see how he does.
I like the token idea @pemberley but am curious, would the player in those cases have tokens applicable to all skill checks (healing, sabotaging, gens, etc.) or just gens? Also, would staying out of the killers terror radius allow you to earn used tokens back?
Thanks for the input, these are great ideas. Do you have any more thoughts before I send the thread to the devs?
Killers do not have QTEs in general, that's just a Survivor thing. However, some Killers require a quick reaction time to a Survivor's behaviour in order to be successful or land a hit consistently.
The Nurses requires the ability to quickly adjust her camera for a chain Blink if the Survivor dodges her first one.
The Huntress requires a quick and accurate aim of her Hatchets unless she only goes for hits during Survivor animation locks (e.g. vaults).
The Cannibal requires precise manoeuvring in tight spaces when using his Power.
The Hag requires a quick reaction time for a teleport so that the Survivor doesn't gain too much distance from her Phantasm Trap by the time she teleported over there.
Those are some Killers your friend might have troubles with, but the others should be fine.

Accessibility options are always something that are being looked into. This one is a bit of a tricky one since it would essentially make skill checks easier, which would be great for someone like your friend, but would also be abused by people without a disability purely to make the game easier. If you've got suggestions though, we'd love to hear them.
For the time being, your friend may want to try out technician. It won't completely help with his issue, but it will prevent half of the skill checks that he does miss.
That phrasing is misleading as that is not how probability works. Technician simply has a 50 % CHANCE to not blow up the Generator. Only over a very large amount of Skill Checks, the number of prevented ones might approximate 50 % of the total, but not in any one Trial.

I'm not playing on console so I can't add anything to that. However, the devs have very recently announced that they are working on getting the game to run at 60fps on minimum specs across all platforms with the coming updates.
-
Freddy is a viable high-ranks Killer if you put the time into him, mainly learning to deal with his weaknesses and potentially overcoming them.
What makes him fun in my eyes is his ability to gain control over and immensely slow the Survivor's progress when he pulls them into his Dream World (I often have at least 2 Survivors asleep at any given time) and his intelligence on their whereabouts thanks to his Power. That knowledge is usually quite underrated as it allows you to plan your next moves much more effectively and is already what enabled me to become a skilled Doctor back in the days using the Restraint Add-ons.
-
Using cutlery is a bad analogy. Imagine Survivors being able to pick every single second-chance Perk and some other goodies. No thanks.
-
Killers could do with a fifth, but that's it.
-
To OP, I quite like those Icons, you did an excellent job with them.
I'm itching to run them, but I really do not want to risk a ban, even though it's highly unlikely.

Thank you very much. I've been waiting for these ones ever since v3.0! I miss a little consistency in the color scheme though. Like, all feathers should probably share the same palette (one green, one red?), all ethers too, etc. It just feels like the colors are completely random. Just nitpicking though.
Look up pictures of a Starling and a Robin (the birds the feathers are taken from). The colours aren't arbitrary, they are the respective bird's colour.

1) BHVR just posted that they are on their way for 60 fps
2) summer
3) thats the plan anyway
4) buff for camera turning, how do you mean that? Higher sensitivity as settings?
I'm aware they are on their way. I was simply stating the requirements.
Higher sensitivity, yes. KB&M Killers have an advantage over controller Killers in that regard.

Do you mean across all Tiers?
Because that is already do-able for Tier I.

You know what I meant. Why can't facecamping mean standing in front of the hooked survivor? What word would you use?
Because the definition is already taken.
I'd use hard camping. That would be the proper term we used back in the day.

I’ve been seeing it a few times in red ranks lately.
What you've been seeing is not facecamping. Facecamping has a clear definition: blocking the unhook prompt for Survivors. That is no longer possible since swivel Hooks were introduced.
-
There are several things that need to be done first before crossplay can be thing.
1) Stable 30/60 fps on all platforms
2) Dedicated servers
3) All platforms on same Patch
4) Buff for console Killers' camera turning
Otherwise I don't see it happen as a stable game mode or a fair one.
-
Facecamping is not a thing anymore.
-
I feel the same. I've been maining Freddy for quite a long time now and I dread the possibility of a redesign. It feels like damocles' sword is hanging above his head.
He needs some QoL love and that's it.
Freddy is a strong Killer in the right (read experienced) hands and good fun to play as. He perhaps needs the longest time to get good at (possibly even more than the average Nurse), as you have to overcome almost every game mechanic due to them being stacked against you, but it pays off immensely at the end, as it doesn't just allow you to play him comfortable across all ranks, but it also improves your skill with the other Killers, that aren't hampered by those mechanics in the first place.
-
Rework some of her Add-ons and she's fine.
-
And you wonder why we dislike your input in balance discussions...
There's a big fat EXPOSED in the description and you get an in-game notification and a Status Effect icon with a skull in the HUD.
It's that ignorance of game mechanics of many Survivors that pisses me off. Everything's at your disposal and readily available, yet quite often, you guys still don't bother looking anything up. -

I always thought of the Entity as the true main character. It's Her world, Her story, Her development. That's what DbD is really all about; the Entity's growth as a character and as a being.Interesting, a character we know nothing about is the main character. All that we know about her is that she goes through a cleansing period with the blight and all.
I'm sorry, when was it confirmed the entity was a girl? I really want to know (plz source)
It's not really confirmed but it is potentially of a female gender.

xD no if a french word finish by ''-té'' that doesn't mean it's a female chara but in french we use -l'- so it means that we don't know its gender.
From a french guyTell that to the guy who made the wiki, I'm going off of what the wiki says.
In french we use -le- for male and -la- for female but when a word start with a vowel we use -l'-. In that case we don't know if it's a female or a male. The Entity (Entité in french) starts with a vowel so we use -l'- to designate it so in french it's genderless.
From personal experience, and I don't mean too much offence, many speakers of a language they consider their mother tongue have poor grammar skills or at the very least inferior ones to someone who was taught the language in school and didn't grow up with it. It's a common phenomenon amongst all languages.
I study English and French linguistics. In French the pronoun does not define the grammatical gender, it merely adapts to the grammatical gender that is defined by the noun.
'raison' is defined as a feminine noun, hence why you say 'la raison'.
'pommier' is defined as a masculine noun, hence why you say 'le pommier'.
Your assumption that the direct object pronouns 'le, la, l' define the gender is wrong, French nouns are inherently assigned a grammatical gender.
Now, since French prefers fluid speech and tries to avoid re-articulation if possible (which would happen with pronouncing 2 vowels after one another), in cases of a noun beginning with a vowel, the shortened 'l with an apostrophe' is used. You again made another wrong assumption: l' is NOT genderless, it's actually a unisex pronoun and can be used for either grammatical gender as its sole function is to omit a double vowel pronunciation.
There is NO neuter gender in French. All nouns are EITHER masculine or feminine.
And finally: French possesses numerous suffixes that are typical to a grammatical gender, meaning that the vast majority of nouns having them (about 90% or more), are of that gender. Let me give you a couple of examples
Typical masculine suffixes: -eau, -ais, -ait, -er, -age, -ege, -ème, -isme, -aume and many more
Typical feminine suffixes: -aie, -asse, -enne, -ande, -onne, -ise and many more
The suffix -té is a typical feminine suffix, like in la clarté, la pureté, la salubrité, la virginité.
You see, a lot of 'la'. The same goes for 'entité'. It's an inherently feminine noun and the sole reason it goes with 'l w/ apostrophe' is to omit saying 'la entité' as the double vowel forces a re-articulation between the two words, something French doesn't want (expect for nouns starting with 'h aspiré' for some weird reason).
Still doubt my French skills and in turn my Wiki article (yes, I wrote that one)?

That is not related. There's only 1 Ultra Rare Offering left for Killers and some still don't have any Ultra Rare Add-on so it will usually spawn the Ebony Mori.
The Survivor Blodweb on the other hand still has the option to spawn a Rainbow Map, a Skeleton Key, an Odd Bulb, an Anti-hemorrhagic Syringe or a Brand New Part.
Well it shouldn't be related because op was talking about keys from chests and moris are taken from the bloodweb, i just noticed a kinda huge increase of ebony moris even with killers with 2 pink addons.
Personally i think ebony moris are a waste of bloodpoints, they are expensive and you get way less bloodpoints when you kill survivors by moring them.Bloodpoints are not the intended motivation to use them in the first place.

If by the time there are only 1-2 Generators left to complete and all 4 Survivors are still in the game, it doesn't matter whether they just 1 or 3 Hooks left, their manpower at that point is so strong that it will be nigh impossible to win the game at that point unless they really screw up badly. All it needs is one good looper left and the other 3 working on the last Gen or two and it's ggez.

The reason it didn't work is because it just further illustrated how strong survivors currently are even without healing and how brokenly fast the gens can be done. The healing change wasn't the issue, it just made the more serious issue more noticeable. The change was still a good one, SC was way too strong. No it shows survivors will adapt faster to game changes. Nerf to exhaustion perks followed by nerf to selfcare and killers still complain. Nerf 2 meta killer perks and see what happens.
It's funny they want to talk about killers having to adapt lmao right, I guess we must've imagined all the survivor nerfs over the past two years. I wish some of these people could see what it was like playing killer before with recovering exhaustion, pallets loaded down in maps, faster healing, the old BNP, the old BT, hexes spawning in ridiculously open places, vacuum pallets , dead hard getting you to places to hold the game hostage, true infinites etc.... I could literally go on with the laundry list of nerfs survivors that have happened since I first started playing killer but yet people still cry, it's getting pretty ridiculous
Sounds to me like you started playing Killer comparably recently. If you look at the game from 2.0.0 onwards and disregard all the buffs Survivors/nerfs Killers had prior to that update, then you lack the bigger picture of why tables have turned now.
I started playing killer on console release date , and buffs? Lol that's a joke , those were more QOL changes than buffs, you sir are extremely biased if you're going to sit here and pretend like it's just as hard to play killer now just like it was two years ago
I've played this game since PC release, always as a 50/50 player, ranked up well over 2000 hours and maintain the Wiki for nearly 2 years now. I know of every buff, nerf, rework and QoL change there ever was in the game.
I will not put up with anyone daring to call me biased.
As for your comment after that:
All in all, playing Killer was easiest in 2016, ranged anywhere from moderate to difficult all throughout 2017 and half of 2018 and is now back to moderate. I never claimed it was difficult, but it also most definitely isn't easy compared to 2016.Survivor on the other hand was only hard in 2016, when no one knew what the hell they were doing. Ever since that, it's been easy, especially so in a group and still is if you don't ######### around and play stupid.

Did the selfcare nerf helped you to slow the game down or are games even faster done cuz everyone is pushing gens injured? As killer I feel SWF games are ending even quicker than before if they have all adrenalin and noone selfcare. SC hasnt been nerfed, just like DS rework didnt happen and the hatch sloing mechanic has been dismissed
If you guys say that Doc got nerfed because of the changes on Nurse's calling then you must admit that SC got nerfed too since it's related to a healing action.
Who says that? I certainly don't. Only stuff that changed in itself is either buffed or nerfed. SC wasn't nerfed as its values weren't changed. The Doctor wasn't nerfed just because a Perk he has the option of using no longer reveals Snapping Out Of It Survivors. His power wasn't changed.
If anything in that equation, then Nurse's Calling was nerfed.
I agree, but we got several threads of people claiming that Doc got nerfed because of NC. Maybe you didn't, but some others did say that.
About SC its values weren't changed but the healing changes affected that perk indirectly, which is why some people stopped running it.Because it takes 8 seconds longer to heal? My what an atrocity, must mean the Perk is utter garbage.
And really, it's still omni-present in my games, there are at least 2-3 SCs still.

How many more counters to a Perk do you actually need until you no longer consider it OP?
Git gud.

I by myself and many I know of are playing the "No heal meta" which means basically not equipping selfcare, always using adrenalin and rush the gens injured.
The plan of nerfing selfcare was to slow down the game. This works for the casual and the only "just" survivors, because they will still selfcare even against Legion lol.
However, for the more advanced survivors selfcare became a "wasted" perkslot and this leads to survivors to rush the gens even faster, especially coordinated SWF groups who got 4x adrenalin.

Welcome to dbd forums, where the ones with the loudest saltiest tears coughkillerscough get buffed into the stratosphere and everyone else gets nerfed into extinction. So, when you started to play this game a week ago, did the killers feel really strong? Don't worry, you will play another week and be here back to apologise.

Oh dear, let's see what else he they're wrong about! Not quite sure why everyone keeps making 'it' about me, I just want the game to be fairly and consistently balanced. Maybe it's because they're just poorly programmed npc's with an even poorer quality set of repeating scripts.
Then it is even worse than I've thought - you are playing this game for a long time, yet you are either lying to create an echo chamber with other survbois, or you just can't comprehend simple facts about balance in this game.
I'll just put this out here:

My Last Breath Chapter says I added it 3 days after release, which is impossible as Last Breath wouldn't be released for another 2.5 months.
Ergo, I wouldn't give much on that date there. Aside from that, if he really played for such a long time, he definitely has a git gud issue at this point and I agree with you, @RSB

Blueberry said:It was a good idea.

Oh please stick up for killers.. as they aren’t already babied enough by the devs.. killers cry about something and it’s fixed with a hot patch.. survivors mention bugs and they are fixed within a year..I think you mixed Killer and Survivor.

Oh yeah I get that, that's secondary (Family Guy is drawn in a horribly ugly way, and it's still quite funny at times). I was mostly saying the jokes are terribly lame and, umm, what's the opposite of creative? Whatever, that.
But well, I guess it's pointless being grumpy about it. If you guys like it, enjoy!Oh yeah, THAT is a valid criticism. Like, I super disagree about Family Guy being funny because I love adult cartoon humor and that's like the lowest of the low brow humor, but I think there's valid criticism in that Samination just kind of repeats jokes that the rest of the dbd community is already making.
That's pretty much the point of his parodies though. Why should they be disconnected from the community if they are intended for the community?
