Sorry. People nowadays get offended over anything thats related to humor so I gotta put a disclaimer on everything.
Yeah tell me about it. This forum is quite restrictive with jokes, but i refuse to change just because some people have no sense of humour at all.
It has nothing to do with people not having a sense of humour.
Some people are dead serious when they make such comments and don't mean them as jokes. And those people are more common than you apparently think.

No I'm saying that with those variables, it has the ability to become either UBER common or completely uncommon, based on how you do the variables.
That is my point. With this implementation, the structure is in place. The only thing left to do is find what one might call "the bliss point."For example, if you'd wanted to make the Parts extremely relevant, then you'd do something like: The 1st part gives you a multiplier of 8 and everybody would use it.
If you want people to never use it then the last part gives you a multiplier of 1.1 and nobody would use it, not even in the late-game.Which defeats the point of why the devs want to add new objectives to slow games down. It will only work if they are mandatory.

@Paddy4583The analogy is correct.
Previously you could only fill the glass with orange juice (gens requiring 80 charges)
Now there is cola.
The introduction of cola makes neither cola nor orange juice mandatory, but it does make picking 1 or a combination of mandatory.Outside of your perfect DbD world, I see no reason why Survivors would choose your secondary option over just using the good old gen rush.
For 1 and 2: It's the only option you have left when there are 2/3 people alive that have a certain amount of gens left to do. (If we take the environment representing dbd in it's current state).
If you imagine DBD in a state in which you can no longer rely on a hatch and the free escape aspect has been removed, then it's the only safe option. With different ratio's between x amount of parts + gen-time, doing x parts may be more beneficial rushing wise. (Such a thing also varies based on whether someone's bring toolboxes).
It all comes down to which variables you choose and which (problematic) vanilla systems remain unchanged.
The way you phrase it, you'd think that that would be a very common occurrence, which I disagree with. And generally, things shouldn't be centred around the uncommon.

@DocOctober That wont consistently get you tokens though. Plus it relies on too many things out of your control. It relies on the survivor to loop near where you are for an extended period of time, relies on it not being a killer with a small TR, and relies on the killer not to break chase and patrol gens. And if said killer does break chase since you're generally close to them and at a generator they will likely come to you.Perhaps, but I don't mind any of this. I'm quite happy with Stake Out the way it is.

45 seconds is Diversion, not Stake OutKingB said:@DocOctober This doesnt change the perk's function, just changes the requisites so that it isnt so situational. I would argue this is a buff instead of a rework, because how often is a survivor going to be within the terror radius of a killer without being in a chase while working on a gen? Staying in the killers terror radius without working on a gen for 45 seconds negates the benefits of using this perk. -
I prefer it the way it currently is. I run it on two of my Survivors and I don't mind if depending on the situation, I don't get much use out of it.

Stealth Myers and Amazing Nurses are the hardest to fight against. The doctor, as your picture shows, which must mean you play him, is broken which then you with either argue against that, agree, or go off on some other kind of tangent. Up to you where it goes, I have already said my opinion. If you didn't like what I had to say then why post in the first place? Ever heard of, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all? Common sense still applies, it's just hardly ever used anymore.I very recently played against a high ranked, wallhacking stealth Myers on The Game. It was easy, open eyes and a good set of headphones to listen for his breathing made it an exhilarating game that I did escape from through the Gates.
It comes down to experience and to me, it seems that you aren't as good at the game as you think you are. The general consensus amongst seasoned players is that the Shape is a mid to high-mid tier Killer, but definitely not as strong as a skilled Hillbilly or a Nurse.
Also, common sense says that this is a public forum and anyone can discuss stuff, whether or not you like it. You said you're blunt, well, I was too. I don't care for that silly rule you mentioned.
-
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
-
I rarely lose a Survivor in the corn, it all comes down to experience and tracking skill.
-
With any luck? Discarded.
They can only lower his skill ceiling if they rework him, I'm quite sure of that. All he needs are some QoL buffs.
-
Considering the tone of this and some of your opinions, it's quite ironic that you call the community out for being toxic, as you are definitely a part of it as well.
Other than that, some claims (like the Shape being nearly on par with Nurse) are just ridiculous.

No sane Killer player would play Legacy Dead by Daylight with Survivors having today's knowledge of the game.
- Pretty much every spot that can spawn a Pallet had one.
- Double Pallets everywhere.
- Vast amount of unblocked Windows.
- Infinites on pretty much every Map.
- Slower Pallet-breaking Time.
- Insta-Flashlights.
- Non-Obsession DS can be used instantly.
- No ability to regress Generators.
And I probably forgot some other, hideous stuff.

They mean nothing on console because they don't even exist. No one went through the old webs because we weren't around. There is no cross play so saying never is dumb.
Just a friendly reminder: if it weren't for the success of DbD on PC in 2016, there would be no console version at all.

That survivors compete over the waffe's event points among each other.
That upon death, you lose your reward.
That you can steal event points from teammates. Now do you believe these to be true for this event then?
Yes, because unlike you, Paddy and I know that people won't be playing by your rules as you've left some glaring loopholes.
One thing DbD has shown time and time again: if there is anything that can be abused, it will be abused.

Let's put that to a test then. People complained about their Vessel being stolen and people heading off, resulting in them not getting event points.
Let's start here. How in this event would you steal and run off with the points of your teammates?
I was merely pointing out all the things people complain about are easy to still achieve in your current laid out event.
This is your comment:
Rarely contested: The dynamics of the event shouldn't incentivise players to not rescue. Because players lost their vessel when hooked, there was little incentive to rescue them if you could already steal their vessel» If for example only vessels were lost when being unhooked, then such incentive wouldn't have been lost. We want a system that thus promotes rescuing etc.
And then think a good promotion to save someone is to be tunnelled by the killer after saving so they can destroy this bluewaffle, it’s like a baton race, and the waffle gets better for each dead survivor, seems counter intuitive to me.
leave survivor to die, waffle increases in usefulness and killer has to find you after you e picked it up instead of getting save notification. You made the ridiculous accusation that you can steal event points in this event, while literally everyone has their points rewarded based on the same condition.
That is not showing that you can "easily achieve all this in the current event". It is just a flat out wrong statement. You are saying that a football team member can steal the win from their own teammate. No: No they cannot.
You’ve quoted me and my words and then added your own spin and then argued against your own spin!
He either doesn't read our comments at all if they disagree with his opinion or he only reads them half-heartedly and does a lot of interpretation.
Props to you for standing up to it though, you're much more patient with him than most others. -
That Event was an idea by a community member. It's not a thing and has abusable traits just as any other Event.EJmurdermain said:So these hook buffs will be cool but if I mori a waffle survivor, what would happen to the waffle? -

If not I will happily do what's necessary to keep everything in order. I'm sorry I made the mistake of not giving credit or asking for permission in the first place. I didn't mean to make people believe I made the graphics. It's about the functionality.
The background has custom edits on it, that one needs to be attributed to the Wiki. The default icons that you're using can be found on the official game website or in the game folders, those need to be attributed to Dead by Daylight and BHVR.

Could you give proper attribution for the Wiki background that you're using without having asked?

Sam pretty much summed up my opinion of Legion, they are a walking design flaw. (see 6:05)
https://youtu.be/Vd_3JmDoKNc?t=365As for Freddy, I absolutely love that guy and have been maining him for the longest time now. I don't want the devs to rework him at this point as I'm sure it would considerably lower his skill ceiling. Some QoL buffs are all he needs.

I don't get why they removed them. Just because they kept popping up didn't mean you had to remove them entirely, you could've reworked the bloodweb. But yeah, PLEASE ADD ULTRA RARE PERKS BACK PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

That was their way of reworking it: remove the lowest and the highest Rarity from the Perks. It was a band-aid, but it worked and hence they kept it instead of doing it properly.
The first fix they tried made the Bloodweb spawn Perks in strict order of Rarity. You wouldn't get any Tier 3 Perk until you haven't gotten all Tier 1 and 2 Perks.
So it was possible to get Tier III Sprint Burst at level 10 without having tiers I and II unlocked?
They could've at least kept Common perks, and if they were to re-add ultra rare perks they could make it so it's tied to the cost of a Very Rare item and not an Ultra Rare item because spending 7,000 bloodpoints for a perk is too much, even if it's useful or a crutch.
Also, they could've just changed the color of the perks. For example, they could've changed Tier I Deerstalker from yellow to brown, even if it might still read 'uncommon'.
Anyway, the devs should just fix their damn game. They shouldn't have entirely removed these tiers just because it was bugged in the bloodweb. They should've just fixed the bloodweb and they wouldn't encounter these issues today.
No, you misunderstood. It would not give you any Tier III Perk unless you almost had all Tier I and Tier II Perks.
Here's an example of what that looked like:

I originally created an Excel sheet of all Perks I got on all Characters as I feared being affected by the Loss of Progress bug. I thankfully never was, but the Excel sheet stuck with me as a habit and I continue to fill it out to this day. It's also nice for the Wiki when Perks change and I need to know which Character has Tier II of it.
Aside from Dwight and Ace, most Characters were levelled during their release, so the Excel sheet quite clearly shows the different Bloodweb iterations.
In-between Dwight and Ace, you see the first Bloodweb which spawned Rare Perks a lot more often than Common Perks, hence why you can see a lot more Pink and Purple there.
Then there's Bill whom I levelled pretty much exclusively during their first "fix", resulting in a lot of Brown and Yellow as you barely got any Rare Perks or Tier II/Tier III upgrades until you used up the spawns for the Tier I.
After that, there's the current Bloodweb we have. If they would re-instate the old Rarities without affecting the spawns, you'd see that it is quite balanced, it has a bit of everything and is balanced.

I don't give two damns what Cote says. Grim Pantry is not Bubba's map, it just got released alongside him because they had it on the back burner. Grim Pantry was in the game files long before anything relating to Bubba.

I have one more question, can BHVR create cosmetics for him because of the licensing?
The fact that Kate Denson does have plenty and Bubbas unlockable masks do kinda indicate that. I would love to see him in the suit he wears at the end of the original once he gets his update.Kate Denson has nothing to do with Bubba. She's a dev-original Character. Her having a lot of cosmetics is no indication of anything related to Bubba. Bubba is a licenced Character, the cosmetic question with him is the exact same as with every other licenced Character: the devs have to ask the licence holders.

The amount of misinformation in this thread...
Alright, let me clear some things up:
LEATHERFACE was originally supposed to be a full Chapter. This was backed by several things.
1) LEATHERFACE internally was referred to as DLC6. Only Chapter DLCs have that designation followed by a number.
2) Back in those days, the devs also added the new Achievements we usually get for a Chapter about 1-2 months up front as hidden Achievements (I think that was some weird requirement by Steam at that time).
LEATHERFACE had 3 Achievements titled Ach_DLC6_Killer_(1-3) and 3 Achievements titled Ach_DLC6_Survivor(1-3). The Survivor ones were removed shortly before release.3) Kate Densons voice acting and associated files came into the game alongside Bubba's files and were also part of DLC6. She was originally supposed to be his Survivor, then got delayed until she was finally re-used a the Clown's Survivor almost a year later.
As for why LEATHERFACE suddenly became just a Paragraph? I've had a talk about this with a dev and he pointed some key things out: re-used Hillbilly Add-ons and the A Nightmare On Elm Street Chapter released just a month later.
LEATHERFACE suffered from time constraints. They didn't have enough time to create his own Add-ons (which was originally the plan) so all we got were the Chilli Add-ons and the Marks and the rest are Billy's Add-ons and due to the next Chapter with a much greater hype factor releasing just a month afterwards, they had to prioritise that over LEATHERFACE, robbing them of any time to finish it.
As for Grim Pantry. It was released alongside his crippled Chapter, but was never intended as HIS map. It was a long planned addition to the Backwater Swamp Realm of the Hag so that Granma's Cookbook wouldn't be a 100% chance for Pale Rose anymore.
Grim Pantry also was NEVER a part of the original Pale Rose. They are two distinct maps with completely different layouts and landmarks. They just got shrunk down in surface area by moving stuff closer together, a change that didn't happen until 2.3.0
