  • @only1biggs no, I’m tired of toxicity being spread everywhere like diarrhea. “A rank 1 that doesn’t complain” is just asking for an argument. And guess what? There’s salt here, arguing, and the whole nine yards.
  • There isn’t one ######### person on this forum that doesn’t take jabs at the other side, huh? Just be condescending asswipes to eachother, and whenever someone has an innocent post or something actually useful, punks like Boss and Lowbei (whatever the hell that even means, sounds like the pronunciation of “Logang” while licking a glass window)  have to come on there and belittle and bully them off of the forums. It’s so disgusting.

I’ve had enough of the attitude on the forums. Mods don’t do anything about it. It’s frustrating. When are we going to actually work TOGETHER to make this game better? Forums are just scrap rooms at this point it blows.
  • Meh.  At least you have some badass music to listen to.
  • No, it’s usually either relief after a tense game, or frustrated grumbles and telling my pug how it wasn’t my fault that all 4 survivors got away.
  • I think totems should have ruin skillchecks built into them.  On one hand, a killer who is applying pressure flawlessly can manage to keep his totems for at least a little while, when on the other hand, it’s so situational that it can be gone in the first few seconds.

I think this is a difficult issue to tackle, but the totems are too vulnerable.  I don’t like the idea of totems taking he place of perk slots. But I have a thread on that already.
  • If I’m playing against a hag, it’s crouching all the time. Urban evasion is basically a counter to hag. Running a universal counter build will help, for example, Sprint Burst, Self Care, Urban Evasion, Dance With Me.  Or if you’re weird, you can use decisive strike.
  • I can’t believe this. All hope is lost. You guys are STILL fighting. No wonder this game isn’t improving. It’s just a beef thread.
  • The toxicity. Why has it raided my post? D:

I think there are more than enough killers proven by the point that at a higher rank queue times for killers get longer. If you queue as a survivor you always get into a game within seconds.

Or that a lot of players aren’t rank 1 killers. My queue times are non existent as a killer, while survivors have to wait much longer on my platform.
  • Well they have to get people to play killer somehow. We’re a dying breed as it is.
  • I was expecting to come in here and read about survivors being allowed to respawn.

I was relieved to find that no such thing exists.
  • @Boss thanks to self care, that is something this game is lacking a lot, I agree.
  • Really? She’s everywhere for me. There’s even quite a few rank 1 spirits! On Xbox btw.

    Hmm.
What if the non-Obsession version of Decisive Strike requires you to have gone through 2 hook phases before being able to use it?
Meaning you'd have to be pulled off a hook twice before being able to use it.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but i based this on me remembering that they wanted this Perk to be a "last resort" of some sort.
What last resort is more fitting than being carried to your 3rd hooking, right?

This would also mean that Survivors who didn't get pulled off on the 1st hooking can't use it, but maybe i should make an exception there...

That just means everyone gets a free escape near the end of the match, say, after the gates are open, instead of at the start. The only way to fix Decisive Strike is to acknowledge that it never should have been a thing in the first place and rework it the way Tinkerer was reworked.

I think if you decide to use decisive, you should have no mither for the rest of the match. That way it won’t be an easy crutch perk anymore. There’s weight to that choice to use decisive.
  • @DarkWo1f997 said:
It doesn’t matter to me what they do. It’s not going to change very much anyways.

Decisive Strike is a game changer. Everyone gets to escape once per match for free, meaning you essentially need to get a minimum of 4 hooks per player.

No it has a huge impact on the match, but the way they are changing it would just mean flashlight jockeys are going to be meta. They’ll most likely get the save anyways.
  • It doesn’t matter to me what they do. It’s not going to change very much anyways.
  • No, because the amount of gens required decreases if disconnects occur prior to match start.
  • I don’t really think that pausing the game to see ping is something anyone wants to do in a game based around fast paced stealth and chases.

Time is already precious enough and far too scarce for both sides. Pausing to check ping is going to cost you, regardless of what side of the fight you’re on during the match.

I just don’t see a way to implement such a feature without compromising immersion. Unless you want the disconnect indicator to show up at the top of the screen whenever ping goes bad. But that would be really annoying. especially because, you know, no dedicated servers, so it’s naturally going to be more common.

Not saying the game needs them, but the network naturally won’t be as viable.
  • I always respond with, “you got away because you made no effort to save anyone but yourself. Of course you got hatch. You sat on it forever like you were trying to lay an egg.”
  • Gorvak said:

Something like "If a killer stays within x meters of the hooked survivor for x amount of time, other survivors gains x% in their repair, heal, sabotage actions, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec" or "if a killer stays for x time within x range of the survivor, the sacrifice will be worth half points, reseting the time to trigger this after x sec (then the bloodpoints of hooking, summoning and sacrificing will be only added after the sacrifice happens or the survivor is unhooked (by itself or others) and add a buff for survivors sacrificed outside of the x range, making the buffed risky sacrifice awarding more points than now and the safe sacrifice awarding less)."

The point of this is because the ridiculous killer who does it, specially in the first hooking, destroys the game for everyone. The ones that are safe doing gens, dont get so many points, the survivor hooked, gets basically nothing and even the ######### killer gets almost nothing, but he still manages to recover, depending on the speed of other survivors.

The killer who does it, mostly in the beginning, spoils the game. Makes it a true loss for everyone, not because the survivor will die, but because no one will get enough points, so a solution should be devised to avoid this behaviour the most and those are my ideas.

P.S: The killer losing time meanwhile the other survivors fix the gens is not punishment enough for this ######### behaviour.

The devs have stated multiple times in streams that camping is a part of the game. It’s built in, intentionally.

and here you are being a jerk to someone else on their thread.  You’re telling ME I’m gunna have to leave the forum? Wow buddy you better reassess that statement you made towards me.
  • You know what I love about that gif and your profile picture? They somehow managed to make Jake Park look like MJ. So that’s getting an upvote from me for consistency and good taste.
  • @Lowbei buddy I assure you that wasn’t an insult. But you should also note that provoking someone by stating you’re reporting something for spam, instead of just reporting and moving on...

is going to warrant a semi-passive aggressive response from me. Trust me, if I was insulting you, it’d be pretty brutal.

we discuss the game, not whichever streamer you have a crush on.

dont make a followup thread about what kind of cheese you like. we dont care.

Are you implying that the Pig is strong?

In the hands of a master, pig is like a billy with boobs.  Otherwise, she isn’t as viable from the start as other killers like nurse or Myers.

Tunneling doesn’t exist. If you can’t lose the killer than that’s your fault. If your team doesn’t mosquito the killer, that’s on your team. It’s not hard at all. There’s four of you and you are ridiculously strong when together.
You've barely had this game a month and you're acting lile you're an expert. Just stop lmao. Tunneling does exist and doing your method wastes time for everybody.

The best counter is for the Survivors to continue doing gens if someone is being camped. Sucks for the guy on the hook but it also sucks for the Killer, as it will be an easy win/pip for the three survivors
I mean I’m referring to the escape phase, and where did I say I know more than everyone else? You assume the worst in my intentions. There’s a lot of crying on the forums about camping and all I’m trying to do is show that there are ways to combat it but it all comes down to wit.

I dont know how this survivor empowerment started, I don’t understand the logic of it. I just want people to actually try new things before crying on here.

If killers get as much as one more nerf, it’s going to be really bad for the entire community.

I get that you have your reasons for disagreeing, but a lot of people flat out give up because a killer is close to the hook, and it’s like if you’re not even going to try anything then why come to the forums and declare it an issue?

Its happening too too often for it to be ignored. A good majority of the community truly believes that there isn’t a way around it. Playing survivor is a gamble on living, not a guarantee.
  • That's not a news flash. You can't exactly go for it while expecting every single survivor to know what you are thinking.

    That’s what emotes are for.

  • What I get from it is. You aren't happy with some of the changes they've done, because they want to make a game that goes with the vision they have created. Too bad.

TheBean You mean like how the survivors were supposed to be extremely stealthy, hide, and be punished for sprinting everywhere? They haven’t been chasing their vision for quite some time now. Ever seen the footage of Matthew colte eating his words about the killer being fun to play?

Still have have that blind faith in them?

This map doesn't even have time waster (aka infinite)... There are only a few pallets on the map... This is really not the worst map

Just having this map as an option considerably weakened Myers as a killer.. And hes def on the weaker side when it comes to killers especially with any decent survivors.. Just looks messy too imo

Nah, you're just bad. real bad.

    -A Myers main

You didn’t have to put that you’re a Myers main, I pinky promise every killer main on here has their main as their avatar. We are weird that way.
  • Buddy I guarantee you once you run into rubies you’re gunna be playing a whole different ballgame. You will have your ass handed to you as spirit in the red zone.

Its definitely possible to four man as spirit, but like pig, you’re really gunna have to work for it. Feels great to pull it off though I promise you that.

I usually wait for the hands to go up when they are unhooking to be sure i get a grab instead of hit, then drop them on the ground and keep camping.

Only end game though, when exit gates are powered/powering.
It’s not that simple. They can use flashlights and surround you, making sure you’re blind from every angle. They can snatch control away even just one of them can ensure the save.

They have so many utilities at their disposal. They need to stop whining about a 2 year old problem that no one seems to have managed a solution for. Well, here it is. It works.

Plus if you DO get the grab, they can just unhook and block. Once again, you’ve lost control of the situation because you didn’t time something right or think it through before acting.

  • This is why you don’t spin your camera. You drift with the left stick to strafe into the 360. They collide with you and cannot do anything about it.
  • Nea has a great Mori with those weird... karate hand movements.

What about tbagging to catch the killer's attention so other teammate can unhook the others? Is that wrong? Did it today againts the pig lol
Actually as a player who favors killer play, I like that. It’s a “catch me if you can” challenge. And I take it every time. No one has escaped the challenge so far though.

The incentive to tunnel is heavily decreased when you don’t have to continue chasing them beyond the injured state to put them in a possible fatal situation. I stop my chases if I need to keep patrolling. The only way to kill is to hook, hits mean nothing and that needs to change. The reason some killers tunnel is because whoever needs the least amount of hooks to kill is their priority. Meaning their first target is their first kill. This is only because wacking them isn’t rewarded. It has no impact on the match at all and it blows. One hit, break away. There are ways to incentivize this and to be honest, chasing a survivor already feels like a waste of time. If I can’t catch them in 30 seconds, I lose interest. I’m sure a lot more killers out there feel this way. Everyone has a different definition of Tunneling.

The real version is being prioritized regardless of better and easier prey for the killer. It’s usually a vendetta. Tunneling is mostly done to survivors that a killer remembers being trash talker by. We deliver our own form of street justice tbh.

Tunneling is a perfectly fine strategy. Survivors get salty over it, but there is plenty of ######### killers get salty over too. Probably best to adjust your mindset a bit to properly deal with it.

That being said, I don’t see why you shouldn’t have to continue chasing an injured survivor. Playing just to tick people down into an inevitable death timer sounds way more unfun for them than tunneling. I like the playstyle of whacking someone and playing for a nice 3-gen setup, but this would just be ridiculous. It would be so unbelievably easy to close the game in your favor by just whacking survivors as they get too close in order to tick 10 seconds off of that timer.

Not to mention that low ranks don’t typically have self care. There is a perk grind aspect to this. It just can’t work in the way that you’re hoping it will. It would be really hard to get it into a position where it would be rewarding and not abusable or overly oppressive at the same time.
It’s a stealth game. They aren’t supposed to be caught in the first place.  More danger means you’ll be less likely to run around and be ok with being chased. Nope. Not anymore. You hide, and you avoid being caught.

It seems like it would never really get put to use. Most chases don’t last more than a minute unless the loop is really that long, and if they get away, they’ll just heal themselves with self care because they’d be forced to take that. Unless you made it outrageously short in duration, there’s no way you could use it to your advantage, and would promote more insta heal medkits to be used. That’s the last thing I want when I play killer lol
That’s not the point. The idea is that since survivors are so hell bent on surviving, they won’t loop, they run away and heal, and self care can’t restore lost meter. It’s applying pressure while temporarily removing the survivor from the team, giving you time to resume your patrol while he heals.
So healing yourself doesn’t restore the bar? Getting hit, draining it to 75%, healing yourself, and getting hit again will start draining you from 75%? Do I have that right?

If so...then I don’t see why it applies to the situation you described. They’ll run away instead of looping, you said. But it’s really hard to lose the killer without looping them. There aren’t many stealth options since there are a lot of ways to counter survivor stealth. Doctor, Bitter Murmur, Rancor, Nurse’s Calling, the list goes on. Survivors have to rely on looping because the stealth options are terrible, and if you take looping away, survivors will have nothing to do to play around killers. Additionally, the first thing people do after losing the killer when they got hit is to heal anyway and take them away from their team, which is exactly what your change is encouraging. The only thing this will do is prevent fun builds that don’t include self-care and make it a mandatory perk.

That being said, I simply think this mechanic will be abused. Get one hit off someone, pressure them for a bit while patrolling a couple gens and make them take as long as possible to heal while their timer ticks down. Whack again if need be. Then, when it’s only got a few moments left until they’ll get down, just chase them. Free chase win. If it doesn’t reset upon being hooked, you wouldn’t even have to attempt to do this, as by their third time being downed, they’ll probably only have a few moments left on the bleedout timer. Pretty much a guaranteed chase for the killer on the later chases. This is the main reason I don’t agree with this proposal since it gives killer a free chase win with minimal effort, when you have killers that are designed to end chases early already like the Clown and Nurse.
The incentive to tunnel is heavily decreased when you don’t have to continue chasing them beyond the injured state to put them in a possible fatal situation. I stop my chases if I need to keep patrolling. The only way to kill is to hook, hits mean nothing and that needs to change. • @OrionQc24 wait... are you switching accounts and arguing with yourself? What the #########?
  • I'd like the chance to play this. Right now there is literally no differences between injured and full health other than an extra chance to run. And this is a balanced suggestion that doesn't hinder play just reinforces time management,  something survivor is sorely lacking.
Then let’s bump it up and get the devs attention with this. Throw it QA’s if we have to. This is a quality of life change I feel.
  • @OrionQc24 you might want to enter the general discussion thread to pass the time... not balance feedback...
  • Would you like to know why we camp? It’s not a choice. We are freaking the ######### out. Generators getting knocked left and right and starting to sound like artillery fire in the night.

We HAVE to play defensively. We are supposed to be in control of the match, not you. Your job is to adapt my entitled friend.  You can literally counter camping by swarming the hook, bait the killer into hitting you, or continue to cancel your save attempt until he strikes you. Take off, and someone else will unhook them. Everyone gets away.

Why don’t we think about strategies before you take out the nerf bullshit alright? It’s hard enough playing killer right now. One more nerf will kill this game.  Mark my words.
  • Bleeding survivors should get gradually slowed after running for an extended period of time.
I don't think they should make them die though.
No please no, no movement speed debuffs. You know what’s gunna happen to killer base speed and bloodlust if that happens. Yes, death. No more blood. You can stop it with self care, be healed by a teammate, or restore 25% of your meter by using a first aid kit. No changes further needed. Put it in a PTB and I SWEAR to you BHVR it’s gunna be good for everyone. It will solve looping and literally every survivor related bullying issue that there is. They can’t run around like a tool and shine lights at you anymore. No more Benny Hill music. No more laughing at exit gates. You want more people on your game BHVR?

Maybe the OG player base? Just try this is all I ask, and give it a fair chance. It’s supposed to be deadly, but dying takes forever, it’s like a reverse bear trap except to disarm you just need to be healed. If it’s too much, tweak it, but there needs to be imminent threat to being hit as a survivor.

Currently, tracking is not enough. They need to be in danger with every waking second while injured. They will stop pallet looping and go back to being stealthy just as they were supposed to.  Chases would end within 60 seconds with the killer either winning the chase or losing the survivor.

Do you know how much scarier even the trapper could be without any perks because of the bleeding effect? While he’d still definitely be weaker, it makes the killers an indisputable, incompatible threat, that will make you suffer dearly if you try to bully him.

Thats what it should be. But currently isn’t.
