I am excited for it! The good thing about RER is a bit complex and each character has their own mechanics and not copy from one another vs DBD where we sit on gens and run in circles and each characters can have the same perks.
Yep same, I'm excited for it as well.
I'm hoping its a competition that would finally force the Devs to actually try for once and balance the game and core issues.

Well Resident Evil Resistance is coming soon, and its sounds like its similar to DBD

Since the Nurse nerf, and the fact that they nerfed about 4 killers in a very short time span, and about to receive a 5 killer nerf and a perk needed to get momentum started without going full tryhard and playing dirty, while the worst nerf survivors got was just the red instaheal nerf.
I would say, Yes

Unlikely Corrupt Intervention will be ever nerfed honestly.
Yeah, sure...
Not like I heard this about Hex: Ruin, or Thanatophobia
They will most likely nerf Corrupt Intervention, because it will be the next "crutch" perk in the game

Easy for you to say, but unfortunately for those of us that don't have others to play with. I am already looking at new games to play.
Yep I'm doing the same already,
Heck the funny part are that the Devs in War Thunder (if you ever played it for a bit) are bad, but not as incompetent and lying as these Devs, and actually attempt to make so balance changes.

It's not a theory, it's the made up excuse to nerf the perk into oblivion. They have wanted to nerf ruin for a long time, my guess is they just lacked a good excuse for it. Cause with what they said they can just pretend that no one will see this as a bull nerf "see we fixed the main reason you had to use this! it's not a nerf it's a change!!!"
Sadly, you are right.
They used the most BS and incompetent excuse possible to justify changing Hex: Ruin

Fellow Killer Players, are you staying with the recent Hex: Ruin changes?
I feel like playing Killer is a chore these days, and the recent rank reset rework doesn't help the case that I am literally trapped in Red Ranks, and going full sweat in more than half of my games gets unfun and boring. Most games I try to meme around and have fun, but when I do generators just go fast and I can't really do much.
The Doctor changes also sound fun, but they really nerfed the Snap out of it mechanic really hard, and also made his detection more strict, as well as the pause after he shocks someone. I can't want to try these changes to see where Doctor is now.
So, are you guys going to adapt or move on to other better games? Maybe try to learn better strategies, or leave Dead by Daylight to die in the dust? Tell me your thoughts about this Mid-Chapter Update.
I was already at the edge, I was taking more breaks from this game more often. For me, I think this broke the straw on the camels back.
It was not only Hex: Ruin, but the fact the Doctor is also getting nerfed because he is "frustrating" to play against...
I'll mostly likely just spend all my moris before I go

What about killers, why don't they nerd more survivour Perks and less killer Perks. Only killers get nerfs
Killers don't only get nerfed, survivors also get nerfed, such as the instaheal nerf. BUT survivor nerfs aren't as drastic compared killer nerfs such as the Nurse, Oni, and Legion.

Ds is not a problem ,Its to stop stupid killers from tunneling after you've been unhooked
You clearly have never played killer enough when saying this comment.
When a killer does to well, he is punished because even after hooking someone, he could down someone with an active DS without knowing it.
-
@Peanits and @not_Queen, or any Dev for that matter
Could you explain why nerfing Enduring was necessary despite the fact DS was going to be changed from 3 sec to 5 secs anyway because of Enduring?
Because if you nerf Enduring, there was no need to change the stun time from 3 sec to 5 sec.
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Enduring had the effect removed for DS and Head-on as they felt it was a perk which needed values changes to be easier to work with. It also negated the usefulness of what those are designed to do which is to give distance and a chance to the player for using it.
They made it a reduction percentage instead of recovery.
The other change to pallet stuns was a slight buff as before it increased stun recovery up to 75% so with a 2 second stun it reduced the stun to around 1.14s at tier 3.
Now it's an actual 50% stun reduction so its 1s.
Thou the fact it doesn't affect perks like DS makes the very slight buff against pallets essentially useless.
Playing as a survivor, I barely see any killer run Enduring. If I see a killer running enduring, its mainly for spirit fury.

And I don't mean like for a couple of days or a week I mean like completely stop playing dbd? Especially if you got some new games over Christmas.
It's funny, first week into Christmas break I was just playing dbd only, then second week came and I stopped playing it and played r6s instead and remember how fun that game is, more fun then dbd.
3rd to 4th week in and I got ark survival and cod mw and played the ######### out of MW for three days (on 4th week) and now today, as well with ark survival (3rd week), and the thought of playing dbd again hasn't come to mind at all.
Honestly I'm thinking about deleting the game.
"Go play a different game" said once by one of them, and I think I will, the games ive gotten over this break are WAY more fun and are less stressful.
I think im getting close to quit DBD, I'm seeing myself taking more and more breaks from DBD, and I'm playing less and less.

@ppo8820 said:
It was too op. Much like the usual meta survivor perks ( hope, vigil, slippery meat, etc). The devs heard our complaints and acted accordingly to improve game balance. I see no issue.
How exactly was it op, there were no complaints about Enduring being "OP". All enduring did was reduce stun time by 50% max. This nerf essentially only made enduring useful for Enduring+Spirit fury only.
@Cetren said:
Head On probably shouldn't be countered by it. But reducing the DS timer was quite nice. I'd like to see that make a return.
Yeah Head on, should be the only exception to Enduring, if they made so it affects stun time on perks like DS.
@BlueFang said:
Their reasoning was that it was becoming too much of a hazzle when designing and updating perks that cause a stun effect on the killer. They would not only have to balance the base of it but also balance for Enduring, in so doing they would have to constantly find the right balance that wouldn't punish the player for not running Enduring. But also not making Enduring override the survivor perks
Personally I can understand this, but when they did it I assumed they were going to change the eternity long decisive strike stun
They haven't
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84zY33QZO5o
Even though its been a year it still bothers me!
Wasn't it also nerfed because it essentially made the old stun for DS (which was 3 sec) 1.5 seconds, and wasn't effective at stopping tunneling. Currently, Enduring should be able to reduce the stun on DS.

I've noticed that everytime I've brought a Mori and someone unhooks before I leave the hook, the unhooker doesn't have the decency to take a hit to protect the survivor he just unhooked. As a survivor I take a hit if I have to even when there's no secret offering. Survivors seem to rely on BT and DS too much, but they aren't going to save you from moris... unless you find a locker.
Pretty much what you said, and that currently most survivors aren't using BT as an anti-camp, mainly BT is used as a farming perk. I see this a lot in Killer and as a survivor.
-
Noed isn't always used by bad players.
Currently one of my favorite builds with Freddy is the end game build, where I have NOED, Blood Warden, Remember Me, and a perk of my own choice (Usually Bitter Murmur, Hex: Ruin, or Corrupt Intervention). The amount of salt you get from this is funny.
NOED basically removes an active perk from your slot until endgame, and it can be cleansed before endgame.
I usually use NOED for Endgame builds, or when im using a new killer that doesn't have a lot of perks.

How about survivors stop using SWF with commodinous toolboxes with BNP, and keys, and go full sweat mode, and proceed to do gens very quick.
Already had 3 matches of these, and now im starting to bring out my moris.
And you wonder why killers brings these moris in the first place.
The game allows moris, just as it allows toolboxes with BNP, and keys, etc. Yes it's annoying, but its completely okay as nothing in da rules says it isn't.

You probably do not understand that (1)you cannot equalize SWF with optimal tryhard survivor gameplay, (2)that every killer is toptier in the right hands and that (3)nurse is still S-Tier after her changes.
Nurse is still S tier but she's weaker than Spirit, and Nurse was mainly the Killer equivalent of SWF.
Now its literally SWF>Nurse.

When a good SWF and a good Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, Ghostface, Hag, Billy get matched, the Swf s not guaranteed to win like you people say, so no, SWF is not the main role in the game. You can say a swf would be survivors at their best state, but you cant say they are overpowered or impossible to play against, since there is evidence of good killers destroying SWF
The same can be said about a good SWF destroying a good Nurse, spirit, Freddy, etc. especially when 3 of them were nerfed. Those killers you mention aren't guaranteed to win like you people mention as well.
This video even mentions how a good team of SWF can utterly destroy a killer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9cqIdg3BSAVery few mistakes made, and yet a 3 man escaped. And this was Ghostface at his best, yet they destroyed him with the Killer making 2 to 3 mistakes, where as the survivors made many mistakes and they still escaped.
There is evidence of SWF destroying good Nurses, spirits, Freddies, etc.
I never said they are impossible to face against, but SWF are OP in the right hands, just as a Nurse can be OP in the right hands.

Because the entity doesn't care should the Survivor escape, since it gives them Hope. And Hope is what the entity feeds on.
I understand that, but a killer shouldn't be able to depip by killing all four survivors with a mori at least it should be a black pip.
@Galklife said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920829#Comment_920829
well i guess you didnt think this through, survivors job is to escape, killers to sacrifice not just kill xd (guess why you dont have emblems for slugging ppl to death)
and in theory survs can kinda punish themselfs because of using hatch (not key but hatch) because they didnt got points for gens/gate/less chases/less healing
but your argument is so op, "im punished so should survivors be",just type without even thinking what youre typing, kill ppl on deathhook instead tunnel after 1st then you wont be that much, surv can wait for hatch on 5 gens (waiting for teammates to die without doing sh..) and escape via hatch (with or without key w/e) he wont pip but survive, its not that hard to think bruh
Yeah I didn't really think that through, but it seems pretty unfair for a killer to depip because they moried 4 survivors after a first hook, because technically the Killer did his objective of stopping the survivors from escaping. The only objective he failed was sacrificing the survivors to the entity, which should punish a killer with a black pip, not a depip.
A survivor with a key or escaping when the hatch was opened without the gesn being completed will at worst get a black pip. The only way I see a survivor depipping in this situation is by doing literally nothing the whole match, and just waits by the hatch until it opens.

how are you even comparing SWF to old nurse right now??
oh no...
SWF can be compared to a nurse, as a bad nurse can be destroyed by good survivors, just as a bad SWF can get destroyed by good killers.
A good Nurse can destroy good solo survivors and average SWF teams, just as a Good SWF can destroy good killers.
When both a good Nurse and a good SWF meet together, it's a fair and balanced game, where two kills and two escape can happen.
Both old basekit nurse (pre-reworked) and SWF both break a fundamental of the game.
Nurse can wrap through objects ignoring survivors pallet defenses, but a survivor can counter that using LOS blockers and that they can still use windows.
SWF uses comms, which aren't intended for survivors to have breaking a fundamental. SWF also basically get a ton of info that a solo survivor cannot get without having perks such as kindred, etc.
Yes, the old add ons on Nurse were broken and needed to be nerfed, but old basekit Nurse (pre-reworked) was balanced and was counterable.
Therefore, SWF=old Nurse (Pre-reworked)
Currently SWF> Reworked Nurse
@DepressedClownMain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/920824#Comment_920824
That is not true. Swf can tell where the killer is, but good solos also have that ability by using the perk bond, empathy, alert, spine chill, aftercare, listening to the tr, checking if the obsession is getting chased, seeing if someone got suddendly injured, etc. And you keep repeating the same thing so I can only assume you ran out of things to say, Nurse still equals swf
And that's the problem you fail to realize, Solos need perks to gain the same information a SWF gets, that's not equal.
SWF gets free information through comms, while a Solo has to either learn information throughout the match without any of the perks you metioned, or they need to run those perks in order to get the same info as SWF.
Also I'm saying the same things because that's literally the evidence, and you have yet to disprove what I have said.

not when you mori them xd why you should get rewarded for 1/2 of your job as killer you have half of chases, 1/3 of hooks, and entity likes sacrifices i dont see reason for you to pip or safepip with ebony, you can safepip when you mori them on deathhook
The same should happen to survivors then when they escape with a key. Yet the opposite happens

Swf is just an organized team, and good nurses still rejt them
SWF are more than an organize team, they can know where the killer is, what he's doing, whose he chasing, what gens he's protecting, etc.
The same can be said about a good SWF destroying good Nurse.
SWF=Old Basekit Nurse

This example is stupid. Moris are overpowered, base nurse was too strong, and both should be removed
But SWF isn't too strong?
No its not a stupid example when SWF breaks the fundamentals of the game. Just as Keys, the old base nurse, and moris.
Also anyone knows that old base kit Nurse=SWF, as they both break a fundamental of the game.
A strong, optimal SWF can destroy any killer except the old base kit Nurse.

Scratched mirror myers gets rid of his T2 and T3 for information. Do you complain about that add-on as well?
That's an entirely different story, as Scratched mirror doesn't let you go past t1 anymore, but it gives you the ability to see auras in a 32m radius, and in tier 1 you have no terror radius and no red stain. That is balanced as you get aura reading, while sacrificing instadowns or a faster movement speed.
While the Onis glove add on basically gives you the ability to track survivors, but you become a total m1 killer. That is not balanced as you are very easily loopable, all to just track survivors better.

I feel you with nurse. I hate that cd on her fatigue. But I think they are not done with her and keep monitoring her. So I stay positive.
I dont think it has to be equivalent. For example I was really happy about the insta meds change and I think its good for the game. And more things need to be adressed and Im sure the devs already looking into many of these without us knowing. Sometimes it really feels unfair and I can completely understand that. You see so many changes to killers and in comparison so less to survivors. But the thing is survs are all the same, they are only cosmetics. Killers are very different with all their unique abilitys. Of course they need more tweaks. If you change one survivor, you change all. If you change one killer, you change only that one. And Im sure we will see some changes about survs, mechanics or maps in the future that will help to enjoying the killerside more than now.
Except the problem is Instaheals isn't equal to the nurse, while yes it was nice for them to go, its not the equivalent of the nurse.
The survivor equivalent of the Nurse was SWF. SWF=Nurse, and the fact they don't even attempt to bring a change to SWF despite nerfing the strongest killer in the game.

Ah ok got you. I dont agree with you here. They nerfed the spirit because she "did too well". I wont deny that the community could have played a part in that. Still the argument why they listen more to survivor than killer needs is not valid. The spirit was clearly overperforming and that was an acute problem on live dbd. You were facing her literally everyday and it had influence on the game. The doctor had and has not that sort of impact on daily games as spirit had. So if the devs in your opinion would treat killers and survs the same or even prefer killer they would have changed spirit after the doctor. In regards of a healthy game that would have made no sense at all and would have been completely killersided and ignoring acute problems.
Except I would have been fine about the Spirit nerf, if they didn't already nerf Nurse into oblivion, while they didn't even give a nerf to the survivor equivalent.

Tbh I never felt that the spirit changes were a rework, more a hotfix. And yes because the problem with spirit "overperforming" got obvious they changed her not only based on survivor complains. In this view the doctor is the next rework after nurse.
That's not the point, the point is that instead of going to their originally plan to rework the Doctor, they instead quickly went to nerf spirit based on survivor complaints.
Which literally means they listen to survivor complaints more than the killer complaints.

At most the Wraith is at low B tier, not even a top 3 killer. Heck even Micheal Myers, Huntress, Ghostface, Demogorgon, and Hag are better than him.

With the first part, I don't like putting it like this, but if sacrificing time to place traps is something someone cannot deal with or recover from, they are a bad Trapper player or VERY unequipped. You need gen regression or slow down and that's a fact if you are playing in a competitive setting.
Yes, but you also need to trap god loops as a trapper. I usually do that during chase to deter them from doing so. Also isn't the main point of trapper to basically put down traps? Correct me if im wrong, but as a trapper if you don't put set traps, aren't basically limiting yourself to just m1, in which makes you very vulnerable to being looped for a long time.
A trapper should be able to set up his map pressure (which is traps) and be able to chase survivors while those traps are in place.

Legion got buffed recently (and they will still improve him)
Freddy is still strong
Oni is not extremly powerful but doing alright
Spirit nerf needed, still very powerful
All those changes are in my opinion really good (they could have taken a different path with Nurse tho). And no, i am not a Survivor main. Just my lens POV.
Legion got buffed?
I think you mean nerfed, because he has lost syenergy with perks making him even more unfun to play, the nerfs out weigh the buffs.

Nurse is not mid tier lol
Yet she is add on dependent, no other high tier killer needs add ons in order play at red ranks.
Again she lost most of her map pressure, making it very difficult to apply pressure to gens. Surviors can out run a basekit Nurse after 2 blinks in a straight line.
Nurse is a midtier killer because she lost her map pressure, and she lost some of her mobility, and now requires add ons to be playable at red ranks.
Also why are there way less Nurses than usually, it's mainly because that these nerfs made her very unfun to play and made her add on dependent.

Just these 2, Trapper will be great.
That still doesn't fix the core problem with trapper, he also need to setup those traps which takes awhile, especially during the gen rush meta.

One other advantage of swf survivors which solo survivors need big time is knowing whenever a killer is camping or not. It makes such a difference for swf survivors to have this information, and it's not fair that solo survivors are left out of this as well.
Yes this should be included, also if we gave the new kindred as basekit for survivors, it would basically make them have the same info as SWF. This would dramatically improve the solo experience.
(I run kindred a lot ever since the new kindred came out, and its very good.)

Sigh
Time to pull out the old "Buff Legion" stick
Actually can we not do that, I don't think we should give Devs an idea to nerf Legion again.
