  • I think my current pet peeve right now, is what they said about the Killer adept achievements:

@selflessnea: "Can we see some changes to killer adept achievements?"

It's not very likely, due to the requirements on different platforms in terms of achievements. If something is still possible, it's highly unlikely it'll be changed since that's unfair to those who earned it fair and square before. (Peanits)

I did some of the killer adept achievements when it required for a merciless victory, and most killer players I talked too who did the same don't feel accomplished doing the adept for killers. In fact, most want changes as it's way too difficult for no reason, and way too frustrating to get. I've yet to hear a player who got a killer adept feel it would be unfair if they made it easier.

Also this answer can be applied to Survivor adepts, as they just need an escape, while killers need a double pip. So far, it feels unfair that I earned the adept by sweating my butt off, while a survivor can just escape. Either change the Killer adept to just needing a 4K or, change the survivor adept to need a double pip. I would prefer option 1.

The problem with the stats is that it's very very vague, and there are too many variables that can cause stats like these.

Three big variables that can cause this are: Survivors Dcing, Killing themselves on first hook, and when MMR was intoduced and rank 1 killers faced new players.

he is literally ruined, he is still viable but so irritating and annoying to play as his mechanics feel clunky compared to the old billy, and his new addons are god awful and uncreative and i dont get how devs let them into the live servers

They gave Billy the Nurse treatment. Anything unfun or bugs on Billy won't get addressed.

At the OP, don't expect the Devs to address this as they will ignore this post and any posts about Billy just like they are did and are still doing to the Nurse.

I think option 3 is pretty obvious. Extremely doubtful they'll even acknowledge concerns over the quote given how bad it makes them look, let alone act on it. Though I also very much doubt there will be some great exodus of killers leaving the game. It never pans out that way.

I think you may have forgotten what happened after Hex: Ruin was nerfed, queue times for suvivor were like 30 min+, and that lasted a very long time until Pyramid Head, where the queue times for survivor dropped from 30 min+ to about 20 min.

I left the game in Late Feburary or Early March, because the amount of frustration it is to play killer, and how practically boring and easy the survivor role is especially when you have the smol pp build with BT and adrenaline, and how borderline toxic the community is. As a survivor you can just hold m1 and win the game.

I've been watching streamers like Not Otzdarva, Scott Jund, OhTofu, and Tru3talent, and a week ago I decided to play a few matches for fun. Those matches were fun, and thought maybe I should come back slowly until I saw this and practically felt glad I quit the game. The moment you think the game might actually have balance for a moment is when the Devs will hit you with some dumb change while leaving broken stuff, and bugs untouched.

Killer players are starting to get exhausted, and this will only fan the flames.

A friend of mine, recently bought DBD a month or two ago, and so far he's told me he's having fun playing survivor, but as a killer, he says it feels stressful especially since it feels there is basically a watch over your head all the time, ticking faster and faster.

I find the Devs complete silence on the DS replies to be.....

Quite amusing, if not offensive as well.

Pretty much the Devs screwed themselves the moment Almo came out with that quote.

Now the Devs have 2 logical choices, and 1 illogical choice. They could either 1. revert the PGTW nerf, or 2. nerf DS to 45 sec, which are the logical choices. OR they will go with 3. nerfing PGTW, and not touching DS, which will cause more killers to leave the game, which is the illogical choice.

Though knowing the devs, they will most likely go with option 3, as their history literally shows they will go with the worst option.

That's totally biased and not the one and only reason. Killers dodge SWF by cherrypicking lobbies until they know they have mainly a solo queue lobby so they can noob stomp them, at least on PC. Worst part is tho, they even tunnel and camp the solos because I experience that for the most part when I solo qeue. The majority of SWF are not the sweaty ones but only players that wanna play together. But always blaming SWF for ALL the problems is just the easiest way, isn't it. The usual obsessed and disctracted killer main brain.

I don't think you understand why Killer lobby dodge SWF, first its to avoid sweating your butt just to be able to at least get a 2k against a coordinated and decent swf team. Second, since killers aren't allowed to switch killer while in a lobby, if they see 4 flashlights or something and they don't have a perk needed to counter it, such as Ligthborn, you are practically have to lobby dodge.

Also on that tunneling and camping part, since practically there is no reliable early-game perk to hold the gens off like old hex: ruin, as a killer you will need to either camp, tunnel, and/or slug when playing against good survivors. I'm going to remind you that in December 2019 and in January 2020, the majority of killers, people who play both sides, and most streamers warned that if Old Hex: Ruin is nerfed, camping, tunneling, and slugging will increase dramatically, and that the killer won't play "nice" as much any more. Tunneling and Camping aren't the Killer's fault, its the fault of the Devs for no addressing the early game, and how fast generators are, while they decided to nerf the best early game perk without addressing the gens.

This is true, but to be fair, the only things people are complaining about regarding Huntress is with regards to Iriheads and janky hits stemming from latency issues.

People complained about inst-saw billy, yet instead of only touching the add ons, they gave Billy the Nurse treatment.

It doesn't matter if the killer is balanced, the devs will slap a cooldown for no reason. The Billy rework pretty much proved that.

  • @fordragos said:

Lol how stupid do you think we are? A killer main that wants people to stop hating on NOED so when devs see one positive post about it then they wont dont do anything about it??

You have changed NOTHING with all this fake information of yours without posting screenshots of at least some of the matches against these supposedly 'rank 1 killers' that you went against.

Yes, I am beating a dead horse but I will mention that me and including other people will continue to complain about NOED time to time and the Devs WILL change it at some point in the future. You will NOT change that course of action.

So enjoy noed you baby killer main but know that it will DEFINITELY be changed at some point in the future.

Are you seriously thinking that a rank 18 or 20 can't face red ranks? Have you been absent for months or something, because have you seen the matchmaking lately?

There are matches that place grey, yellow, and green rank players against red rank players, the proof is on the forums where there are pictures of the ranks.

  • Honestly, the cooldown should be removed, because there is literally no reason to have when basekit nurse was fine.

Though if the devs want to keep the cooldown, then it should be reworked so that when you're not in a chase, there is no cooldown for blinks, but when in a chase there will be cooldowns for blinks. That way, it gives Nurse back her map pressure before the rework.

This is just a conspiracy theory with zero evidence to back it up to justify unjustifiable nerfs.

Ps: This happened before with nurse where all these conspiracy theories popped up saying survivors are only doing X/Y/Z because of nurse only for survivors to continue to do X/Y/Z even after the nurse's nerf.

Killers ultimately have very little to do with how survivors play as survivors are the ones who dictate how the game goes for the most part.

Thank you for mentioning this, I've seen a post similar to this saying that gens are going to fast because of nurse, and nerfing her would fix that.

And after the Nurse nerf, in fact the problem go worse and that Nurse got completely killed off by bugs and the cooldown bar. This is just another post trying to justify the Billy nerf, despite many survivors and killers and streamers saying that it was a bad idea to nerf billy.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

When they changed Ruin it was, at least the reason they was to help newer players. This was because newer players found hitting Ruin skill checks extremely difficult. I've long argued that as old Ruin Ruin didn't really effect experienced survivors it's change didn't really effect gen speeds.

That said, I am forced to wonder, did it have the secondary consequence of flooding the high ranks with bad survivors? I remember the trouble Ruin gave me when I was new. Without that hindering them. I believe new survivors are finding it much easier to rank up. Reaching ranks that aren't a true reflection of their skill.

Anyway, that's my crazy theory. Does it sound plausible to you guys? Or am I completely nuts on this one?

Actually it wasn't just new players they were nerfing it for. It also said they were nerfing it as well due to some survivors not being able to hit great skill checks.

It was those two things combined that pretty much allowed any survivor to reach rank 1 easily, with just holding m1. You don't even need to know how to loop in order to reach rank 1.

  • @Name_Unavailable said:

Lets be honest because they tunnel, We all saw Pyramid Head before last hotfix when they had a chance to tunnel, Most of them did it.

So lets be real all the rare scenarios they talk about here about getting hit by DS unfairly is just nonsense, They just want to tunnel whenever they want.

Lets be honest, camping, slugging, and tunneling wouldn't be so prominent if gen times weren't still too fast, if SWF wasn't so broken (3-4 man), if survivors didn't get so many second chance perks that can be stacked upon each other, nerfing Hex: Ruin while knowing gen times were short, and when top tier killer keeps getting a basekit nerf instead of buffing low and mid tier killers to at least A tier.

So lets be real, all the scenarios that include camping and tunneling wouldn't have happened if the killer role wasn't as stressful, and if some survivors bothered to actually learn the game, instead asking any balanced killer or perk, cough cough Hex: Ruin, Basekit Nurse, and now Billy cough cough, to be nerfed.

  • @Rlabotath said:

TLDR; I'm not on either side of these arguments, because the game is heavily imbalanced. Very few killers perform optimally when against equal skill level opponents, and the rest struggle unless you're opponents have a brain fart and hand you a free hook stage.

Hey, someone who legit never plays Billy because I find him boring af. I know what skill he requires, but I just find that playstyle boring.

I'm not on either side of these bandwagons because honestly, I couldn't care less about him.

The big issue I see with this is an honest and direct comparison to an identical version of this killer in another identical version of this game. Joker in Identity V.

Joker uses a "rocket" to fly forward extremely fast, having minor curving capabilities, and the ability to augment it with parts he finds, which gives him "mangled," better speed, and unlimited duration with slower speed. As the match goes on, the speed increases and lasts longer. His only performs a single instance of damage unless he's using "Detention" which is the old NOED of 120 seconds of 2 instances of damage.

Now obviously, we're dealing with two completely different games, so design philosophy is drastically different between the two. For starters, the "Hunters" in IV are already massively faster than survivors, thus they catch up much quicker. Survivors have twice as many pallets, Bloodlust is a Talent choice that only increases speed once, and Survivors have built in weaknesses that make choosing your character actually matter, and not just be "$15" cosmetics.

That being said, lets compare the two (old Billy):

Billy could apply massive amounts of gen pressure, with average chase, and slightly above average kill potential. Being able to cross from one side of the map to the other quickly means that pressuring Gens is much easier than most other killers. Joker runs into the issue where if he uses his Rocket to dash around the map, he's required to burn one of his pickups, which means to use that again he'd have to burn another, which takes time. Not to mention, it has a 12 second cooldown. That being said, since Joker already moves naturally a lot faster than Billy, he can roam easily without needing to Chainsaw around.

Billy can backrev Survivors to get a quick down, along with curve loops and cancel his Chainsaw for mindgames. Joker has a nearly instant 2 hit combo where he uses his "Rocket" to dash, hit a Survivor, which only requires him to lift it back up, then begin chasing again and smack them to the ground (think Huntress Combo, but little aiming). One requires skill, and one is Joker.

One is in a game where the devs have made every chance possible to balance the game and give viable information to everyone so that SWF doesn't have any more of an advantage than Solo play, and one has Billy.

If you can't tell, I do favor IV, but I love DBD, specifically because I find Behavior to be a good company. I want them to do well!

    That being said...

If you notice the issue between Billy and Joker, Joker has the map pressure without having to use his Rocket, and Billy needs to use his Chainsaw to have that map pressure. Now granted, they made it so that if he overheats while in his Chainsaw, he doesn't get forced out of it, which is nice. However, his real only strength was his map pressure, and giving him this overheat mechanic feels like it heavily hurts that.

The question is: Do I care?

    No.

Because, the sooner they nerf the top, the sooner the devs will actually see how horribly balanced this game is. The sooner they gut Spirit of her power, and make Freddy have to catch his Fedora after every attack (old memes never die), then the Devs will be forced to see how high rank Survivors (actual high rank Survivors, not red ranks as they currently stand) will have little to no killers to compare themselves to, and thus they'll be playing Dead by Queuelight. And no, I'm not talking things like "Make RBT's Lethal AF" or other silly things.

Again, I love this game, I love this company. But when I can play a game of IV and not feel stressed AF playing and get a 4k, as compared to playing any killer in this game and feeling stressed out of my flipping head, only to get a 1k, the locker DS abusers, and teabaggers, which do you think I'll choose? Hell, the only Hunter in IV I get stressed playing is Yidhra, but that's because I have to control her and 5 Puppets to actually do anything, which means I'm pulling my hair out trying to set up the plays, and that's still less than the stress of playing any killer in DBD.

    Anyway, those are my thoughts.

I agree, but there is one small problem with your analysis on the second to last paragraph.

Once they gut spirit and freddy, most if not all killers will either stop playing the game or switch to survivor. You have to remember that this is BHVR's second chance. BHVR already messed up their first chance, when it took a killer revolt to enact changes, since the 1st Dark Times were very, very, very brutal to killers, and so far it seems BHVR is messing up their second chance as well.

Not many players are willing to give a game a third chance, especially if the developers don't want to learn from their mistakes (Seriously, the game is already in the 2nd Dark Times), and as such the game will either die or have queue times so long that survivors will eventually leave.

I have already quit the game due to the fact killer is extremely stressful to play, whereas a Solo survivor doesn't get as stressful, and survivor currently isn't even a challenge anymore as you can just be a decent looper and m1 gens and just get a quick escape. I also quit to due to the fact the community is extremely toxic, but most of the toxicity I've seen are from survivors, especially SWFs. There are toxic killers but its minuscule compared to the amount of toxic survivors I've seen.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

Im currently thinking about maining spirit

My current build is bbq, stridor, enduring and monitor

Before I quit playing the game, I had two main spirit builds, a casual, and one tryhard build (Tryhard build was reserved for 3 and 4 man SWFs, and this was during the Ruin nerf era)

Casual Build: BBQ and Chili, Pop Goes the Weasel, STBFL, and Perk of any choice, with either yellow or green add ons.

Tryhard Build (Again was reserved for 3-4 Man SWF): Pop, Stridor, Hex: Ruin, and Surveillance , with Mother-Daughter ring and Yakuyoke Amulet add ons.

Other than that I can't really help since I quit the game for awhile now (5 months so far), but just a fair warning, if you do use the tryhard build against SWF, do expect to get a ton of salt and whiners (even thou most SWF run second chance perks).

Because, again, most of the feedback surrounding Nurse and Ruin did not consist of actual feedback, just petitions to remove the changes.

Actually there was a ton of Feedback, the Nurse "Rework" had a ton of negative feedback from Nurse mains and a good amount of players expressing what was wrong with changing the basekit. Ruin was the same except most killers and some survivors expressed what would happen when Ruin got nerfed, saying it was a bad time as gens were too fast.

Also petitions to revert the changes does constitute as feedback, you realize there are such things as negative feedback right? Its not only just positive feedback.

Also there is already PTB gameplay up, and it shows that Billy get a massive nerf, and is practically worse than the pre-reworked Bubba.

Streamers like ScottJune, Otz, Aryun, etc. were pretty pissed and/or confused about this change due to the fact the only broken thing was insta-saw, which could be fixed easily by either removing Carburretors Tuning Guide, or making it so decrease charge add ons don't stack.

So, with the new patch, survivors can no longer take the game hostage by struggling on hook (Also denying the last survivor/s from their struggle points).

Another way that survivors have been denied of taking the game hostage is by having a timer on when gates open. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of denying people taking the game hostage, but why has this been so survivor-sided?

Killers can slug, facecamp, camp gates which only delays the game.

Survivors can't even loop/run the killer without the game taking the killer's hand and helping them through bloodlust, whereas a survivor gets none of this. I don't understand why the game rewards ######### playstyle/'strategies' on the killers side, but survivors have anything and everything taken away from them.

There's a lot of this really wrong with this post.

Lets start with the definition of taking a game hostage:

Taking the game hostage means that the game is NEVER able to continue and thus cannot end, the keyword is Never.

Now lets look at your points on how killers "take the game hostage":

    1. Slugging is not taking the game hostage, as the survivor who is slugged will eventually die out in four minutes, and unslugged survivors can still do saves, complete gens, etc.
    2. Face camping isn't taking the game hostage, hooked survivors will die in 2 minutes maximum, and un-hooked survivors can still do objectives.
    3. Camping gates is not taking hostage, as you said yourself, only delays the end of the game.

So far none of your points is taking the game hostage, meaning that you don't know what taking the game hostage means, or you're trying to use the term to fit your argument despite being wrong on many levels.

Solo queue for everyone btw (as far as profiles could tell me).

Honestly this add-on needs a rework. At least make it so it doesn't insta-down you if the Huntress is right on your tail.

Its true that Iridescent heads are op when combined with the belt add ons, and a mori. When its just Iridescent heads alone, it's pretty balanced as you only get 1 hatchet and have to either reload, or chase as a 110% killer.

The huntress you faced literally could only carry 1 hatchet at a time for the entire match, which is entirely beatable. The fact that your teammates DCed after getting downed essentially gave that huntress the win. The only thing that made that build "OP" was just the ivory mori being added.

The nerf that Iridescent heads needs is just make it so that it trumps all other add ons, or trumps the belt add ons. That way a huntress with iri head can only use 1 hatchet at a time, instead of 2 or 3 one shot hatchets.

  • @Raulillo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/148369/as-a-huntress-main-why-are-iris-still-in-the-game

It's not that broken. The thing is you can combo with a belt and that's what breaks the balance imo. Most of the time you can easily avoid hatchets.

Pretty much that's what makes it broken. It's a simple fix to make as well, make it so that Iridescent Head trumps all other addons. So that if you want to run Iri head, you get only 1 hatchet.

    HOW ? @Raven014

It's obvious that you got the perks from the Shrine. Yeah the shrine gives you perks from characters that requires you to pay to get access, except the problem is that you sometimes have to wait months for a perk that you want.

I remember for PGTW, I missed it on the shrine last time as I was busy with college, and I had to wait months just to finally get it.

The fact that most of the good survivor perks like BT, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Prove Thyself, and Iron will are on free to play survivors.

While most meta killer perks require you to pay in order to get them, such as BBQ and Chili, Discordance, corrupt intervention, PGTW, Dying Light, STBFL, Spirit Fury, Hex: Devour Hope, and Thrilling Tremors.

Sure you can get those of the Shrine, but again as I sated above, it can take months for those perks to appear on the shrine.

Yes, but explain me how this will help survivors with their loadout? OP said he can deal with keys he sees on survivors in the lobby, so my response was, that survivors have no information at all. How should they know its a mori and how should they react to that? Its 2 late to bring better items/other perks etc

Thing is that at least the survivors can adapt in game, now that they know that the killer has a mori. A killer can adapt to a key found in a chest when its early game. Late game though, its essentially a lost cause for a killer.

I'm okay with keys found randomly at a chest, because its like 7% to 10%, but the problem is how plunder's can essentially give you like a ton of keys in a match. I feel like Plunder's instinct shouldn't give an increased chance at keys at all.

A complaint or concern does not become invalid simply because you experienced something differently.

I use to play a Plunders 3 build where the items I pulled from chests determined my playstyle/challenges and I cannot fathom the amount of purple keys I got.

The last time I used plunder tier 3, I got 2 pink keys, 1 dull and 1 broken. Might as well add that Monto posted a vid where he found about 5+ keys on the game map with plunders.

Then you are really unlucky. For me, 1/10 chest searches is a skeleton or dull key.

    Topic:

They should lower the chance to find a key in chests, but removing the possibility at all is not the way to go.

If one of the Survivors brought a key right from the start, I can completely understand and revise my strategy. But there's literally no counter to unexpected keys from chests in a 3 gen situation.

That is not a valid argument, since surivovrs also dont know you might bring a mori until its to late to react to that.

That last part makes no sense?

Survivors will know if you have a mori, because the offering doesn't flip.

    • Add an icon for when someone is chased
    • Add an icon when some is healing/being healed
    • Add an icon for doing a gen

These will give you all the info you would need base at least that can be conveyed in 3 words in SWF

By icon do you mean actions, or like pop ups that show for example a debuff?

I'm perfectly fine with adding actions like do a gen, or someone is being chased.

The devs care for their playerbase, that's why they are making these changes.

The reason this patch is killer sided is because many maps are survivor sided and need some balancing. These changes are very good and should make matches more balanced when considering how fast gens can be repaired.

It's honestly quite crazy. All these killer mains crying over how the devs are so survivor sided, which isn't true aswe can see, and now that there's one killer sided patch that adresses the biggest balance problems in the game, people accuse the devs of being killer sided. I wouldn't want to be one of the people responsible for the game's balance at the moment.

Also, if new survivors are constantly getting destroyed by killers, it's one of two problems: Either they are going against killers the clearly shouldn't, or it's because killer is way easier to pick up than survivor, none of which have anything to do with balancing.

If anything, the devs should maybe look into somehow lowering the skill floor for survivors, and improving the tutorials for both sides, but especially for survivors.

The reason there were cries about survivor sided devs were consecutive nerfs to the killer side since July 2019. There was the utter disaster of the Legion Rework, the Nurse Nerf, Spirit nerf, Freddy Nerf, Oni nerf, Another legion nerf (while buffing BT), Ruin nerf, nerf to hangman's trick, and the nerf to Gearhead.

Although there were some reasonable changes, such as the Freddy Rework, Spirit nerf, Forever Freddy nerf, and Doc Rework, but that doesn't make the amount of nerfs since July of 2019 non-existent .

I do agree that this was a good change.

Hag wouldnt be so strong on bigger maps while Billy has no a map that debuff him. Really. Lery is nothing if you play drift Billy. And Lery is my favourite map if i play drift Billy . See? They all have their own strength that make one killer even stronger than the next guy because survivors play anti - "specific killer" build.

Also some perks that other killers cant counter while Billy almost negates are :dead hard, for the people, mettle of man.

And he doesnt really have a perk that would work against him. Like urban evasion would work against Hag for example.

What your saying is true, but overall, a hag with add ons pretty much outperforms billy.

Also yeah urban evasion counters the traps, but Mint Rag essentially negates that counter

Define better? All those killers are different in taking an upper hand.

Probably should have specified, but I say that Hag is better because the snowball potential that she had, the amount of range she can essentially cover, the massive mindgame potential, and her anti-loop ability.

Billy, in my opinion, has Snowball potential, mobility, and an instadown, which are good, but the mindgame potential, and anti-loop potential a hag has essentially will limit a survivor's options a lot more than Billy's chainsaw.

In the videos I watched, after a survivor activates at trap a pallet or window, its now a mind game similar to spirit, where is the hag going to teleport to the trap or is she going to loop around. That mindgame can essentially make safe pallets really unsafe, and god loops not as viable as before.

I will admit that an addon less Billy is better than an addon less hag, but with add ons, Hag is basically better in all aspects especially when using Mint Rag + Rusty Shackles, or Dried Cicada + Swamp Orchid Necklace, or Mint Rag + Dried Cicada.

  • @MegMain98 said:

@thesuicidefox @Swiftblade131 Are we sleeping on how good Hag is? I guess it would be a personal bias for me but when played well I believe Hag is better than BOTH Freddy and Billy.

I agree with this statement, watching hag gameplay and pro-hag players, Hag is basically better than Billy and Freedy, and I would say equal in power with the Spirit.

OP is crying because survivors have literally no way to defend themselves anymore... At the rate this game is going, every single killer chase will result in a down, when Survivors are SUPPOSED to be able to escape from killers.

So you totally need God loops and infinites to run around a killer? You realize optimal survivors don't need god loops, infinites or second chance perks at all?

Also you can still escape the killer as there are safe pallets on the map that let you loop the killer for a bit.

  • Something similar happened to me once as well, except near the end of the match. I know for a fact it was a DDoS from a survivor I slugged for the 4k. I got disconnected, and the game acted like the match never happened. I didn't lose or gain any pips, or get any bloodpoints.

  • @Saitamfed said:

This is not a survivor nerf. Now the diference is that the toxic players who abused infinites and end in red rank because of it, won't be able to do anymore. The average survivor that knews how to loop and capitalize on killer mistakes will continue being good.

Yep, that's what separates the potatoes from the optimal players. Optimal players don't need infinites or god loops or second chance perks to loop a killer for a long time, while a potato or average player (which is probably the range the OP is at since he's complaining about removing god loops and infinites) need a god loops, infinites, and second chance perks to run a killer for a long time.

Isn't that biased though? You are telling Killers to "git gud", while catering to Survivors that don't even know how the game works yet?

I think biased isn't enough to describe this, probably you should have used hypocritical.

  • Honestly, when I see 4 survivors in a 4 man SWF or bring in 4 toolboxes, or 4 flashlights, or even a key. That mori is being put up instantly, and its always nice to see the survivors attempting to bully quit when it seems like it won't go their way. It hilarious and depressing as you see a bully squad wanting to bully, but can't take the same treatment from killer.

But to answer your question, yes, you are toxic for DCing without a valid reason (aka no "killer brought something I don't like").

Obviously, game should have time limit, about 10 minutes in total. If you didn't escape in this time you will be sacrificed, means killer won with 4k.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say, I was saying its completely dumb that a killer gets banned for having a 3 gen lockdown at 1 minute because the survivors put themselves in this situation.

It's like punishing a killer for capitalizing on survivors mistakes, and the worst part is that the survivors can hide for 10 minutes, and then report you afterwards because you didn't hit a survivor.

Genrush survivors lock themself with 3 gens = punish killer. You are funny, surv main.

"Suicide on first hook should be bannable"

Well the Devs said themselves that if a killer locks down 3 gen for 10 minutes when 1 generator is left, it's considered bannable. Which honestly is like what?

    Completely dumb imo

See you, good bye. 2k hours and you cry about ruin? Good and smart killers never used pre nerf ruin. I have seen GOD killers without it over the years. We don't need more tears, we have enough already.

I don't think you got the point of me complaining about ruin. I didn't need ruin to win, I needed ruin if I wanted to play nice, and to not sweaty my ass off from optimal survivors.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

You do you man, I mean, I disagree with a lot of the points you make on your post, but if you are not feeling comfortable with playing this game anymore its great you arent playing it anymore, I know some of people that simply cant quit this game and would rather complain all day about it. Sunk cost fallacy hitting them hard, I guess.

Its fine, but mainly as a player who played both sides, and made it to rank 1 on both sides before the pipping changes, the fact is that when playing as a solo survivor with optimal teammates, its just a breeze and pretty easy to play as gen just get finished in 4-6 minutes. When playing with potato survivors thou, it feels like you can't rely on your teammates. The solo experience is a mixed experienced, but now most of the time, it just felt boring holding m1. Yes there are some generally boring and OP add ons to face against like Iri heads and Ebony moris, and some boring tactic to face against like tunneling, camping, and slugging, BUT when facing those, you can't blame the killer considering how much harder and stressful its getting to even play them.

Also when playing as a solo player, the lack of variety of killers at high ranks are boring, but that's due to how poorly mid-tier and low-tier killers preform there, and that by nerfing killers, you reduce that variety makes the games feel the exact same. A good example was the Nurse nerf, and how previously I would get a decent number of nurse matches where it was fun and excited, with some being God nurses, but now that number has drastically reduced and to the point where I have only faced a maximum of 10 God nurses since the nurse nerf, in which now I rarely have a nurse game.

I probably could have worded it better in my post, but the fact is the Devs are catering to new player survivors, which indirectly buffed survivors with the changes they made to some killers and ruin. Which Is now causing killer players to leave the game, switch to survivor, or to just keep playing killer, but with more stress.

I feel as if the game is heading towards Dark Times again, but with gens as the problem (the toolbox nerf didn't solve anything, gens still go by so fast).

There is a reason as why survivor que times are long, and honestly if the game keeps going in this direction, the game will die as there will be very few killer players left, which essentially will make the que times for survivor so long that they will begin to quit to.

I'm really hoping Resident Evil: Resistance is the competition DBD needs, as this monopoly that BHVR has is making them run the game to the ground just like they did with Deathgarden.

I probably should have included this section in the beginning of my post, but I was just tired, and forgot about it.

Either way see you around when the game gets fixed, or when it dies.

  • Upcoming games I'm looking forward to are Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil: Resistance, and Cyberpunk 2077

Respectfully, I call bull. You have an ingame option to report players who are trolling- which is what this killer(s) were doing. IDC if a killer slugs, that a viable tactic- I'm not reporting for that, and neither should anyone.

What I will report is when the killer downs everyone and never hooks a survivor. Even if we all bleed out and give the killer their victory, if they proceed to taunt and show that they're doing it on purpose- that they're not some noob that doesn't know the game- then I'm reporting that. If you're saying I'm 'wasting the time of people who have to deal with these reports', maybe reevaluate what your rules say is and isn't allowed.

That's not trolling, even the mod said that was perfectly viable. Keeping everyone slugged to their death is not bannable.

This started happening when they nerfed ruin then when they brought in the dc penalties it got worse.

I totally agree With you. I can’t remember the last time I got a red or purple rank killer (im A red rank survivor) what’s worse is yesterday and a couple of days ago we had a rank 18 and 20 killer. Felt so bad after the game. If I know it’s a baby killer I will sacrifice myself at the end and send them a message so they aren’t too discouraged.

A lot of people I know, (red ranks) have given up on this game because of how bad this game has become. So I think it’s a mix of people leaving, dc penalties and the matchmaking. The devs are killing their own game and it seems it doesn’t matter how many times people have said it, they don’t care. they are forcing people to NOT play their game with the penalties and/or making it unbearable with the matchmaking and some of the changes they have made...well...

come April and I will be leaving this game and moving to resident evil 3. They are bringing out a 4v1.

Yep, you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

As both a rank 1 killer/ rank 1 survivor, the game is get worse for both sides, but especially for killer.

I feel like the MM is really bad now as some killers are leaving the game. Just recently, my friend and I made a bet about who could get to rank 1 killer faster. He won, but he said it didn't feel worth it as the moment he got to rank 5 to rank 1, it was essentially non-stop sweat as there was a lot of experienced rank 1s and SWF that just finished gens in like 4-5 minutes. He just quit the game basically at the beginning of February, due to how essentially there is no balance and that killer just is a sweat feast now.

Not to mention also how survivors get a multitude of second chance perks and items that essentially can just waste a lot of killer time and make it a living hell to play as.

The current ptb didn't even solve much, and I heard toolboxes got buffed instead of nerfed. Although this could be false, it still doesn't excuse the sabo changes that will just be abused by SWF in the live servers. Also how the new killer is literally a weaker huntress, which could be the next worst killer in the game.

I could go on and on about the crap killers are facing, but survivors have a few problems as well.

Mainly the problem for survivor is the solo experience. As a solo player there are only 2 types of players you get, which are potatoes or good players. There is no in between, or you get them very rarely. Sometimes as a solo it's very unfun when you play well yourself, but you team doesn't do crap, and you lose the match.

I'm getting burnt out of this game, and playing survivor is just too easy and unfun now, and there isn't much challenge. Currently I'm just using up the last of my Ebony and Ivory moris, and I'm planning to quit this game at either the end of March or the beginning of April

  • … idk if you looked at the current rank reset bug that happen, but currently a rank 1 kilelr can get reset to like rank 17. It happened to me except I was reset back to rank 13.

Also what hes saying is that he is facing basically red rank survivors after being rank reset into rank 17 or something because of the bug.

Thanks for announcing that you can't keep up to date with bugs that happen.

Actually a very fast way to level up your game is to constantly play people who are better than you. Obviously you need to have a grasp of the game mechanics. But let's say you played ten games in something at difficulty level 5, it can go up to to 10 in difficulty. Your skill level is at 5. You'll play and do fine, but your personal skill level won't really increase. You play 10 games at level 10 difficulty. You may lose every single game, but you go back to level 5 difficulty and it's suddenly a cake walk.

My description may have been a little weird, but it always works for me. But I come from a lot of fighting games in my background. I like fighting people who are better than me because I improve much much faster than playing against people who are at, or above my skill level.

    As for your suggestions.

As for DS, I'd only nerf it so that it becomes disabled if you are not slugged, and someone else got hooked.

Flashlights to me personally suck, I never bring them as survivor. You almost never get a flashlight save, and all the good killers have headphones on so even if you blind them at a pallet they just follow you anyways.

I wouldn't nerf Borrowed Time, but I would change it from Terror radius based, to killer proximity based. Don't camp the hook, and if you just gotta camp the hook, take down the survivor who decided to do the unhooking right in your face.

As for increasing gen times, I'd be all for different killers having different gen speeds, going from 80 seconds to a maximum of 90 seconds. So Billy would be an 80 second gen killer. Demogorgon could be 85 seconds, and someone like Clown could be 90 seconds. But that's just a thought. I don't agree with a universal increase, as that would just make strong killers even stronger.

There is a major difference between playing someone who is better than you, vs. playing against the player whose been at top rank, and has a high amount of hours.

A green rank player vs. a red rank player isn't gonna teach the green rank player anything. Instead it will just be an easy game for the red rank player, and a sweat fest for the green rank.

What I consider fair is a green rank vs a purple rank, as there is a difference in skill level, but it isn't massive.

This is why the +-6 rank rule and mm is unbalanced and unfair. As a player, you shouldn't face against a player 2 color ranks above you. Perfect example was one post where a player was a rank 14 killer, yet he faced a rank 7 survivor (purple rank). The +- 6 rank rule essentially mad eit so a yellow rank killer faced a survivor who had massive amount of experience compared to the rank 14 killer.

A +-4 rank rule, would be more fair and balanced, as at most you would face 1 color rank above you, which would lead to more fair matches.

Another symptom is the MM and how essentially you get green ranks vs red ranks all the time.
