I hated the movie with a fiery passion.

At least she doesn’t have the stupid, far off cross eyed stare that Meg has
-
I have crossplay turned off and really the only time of day there is a long wait for survivor is around midnight. For killer is around noon.

The most common reason why they happen is because of crybabies.
The reason is not anything but that they throw a tantrum.
I had a hag disconnect on me last night. She already had one person on a hook, saw me working on a gen with bbq so she came right over. I managed to evade a hit and then I smacked her with a pallet 5 seconds later. Apparently that was enough to d/c? First thing I thought was “ What a baby.” I’m not even that good, I just got lucky with that 1-2 combo. She probably would have gotten me if she didn’t give up so fast. lol

Doing a gen in the killers face is usually toxic but it's never my intention. Especially when I take a hit to finish the last gen for Adrenaline.
Is it toxic? To me it’s simple strategy. If I spent close to two minutes fixing a gen and ruin or pop is in play, then you’re damn right I’m going to finish that gen. I don’t care if I get a hook in order to do it. Take one for the team!
-
What happened to you was basically as close to gang r a p e as you can get online. You can record 15 minutes. That should be enough.

just change your heal and interact button
Don’t see a reason as of yet to do such a thing. Seems like more a bug at specific pallets. Others seemed to work fine.

I had the opposite happen to me twice tonight where I needed to throw a pallet and I only got the option to heal. Very weird.

I'm just on PS4, so we don't have End Game Chat. That's probably largely it. If you want to send a message on PS4, you have to type it out with a controller. I imagine most toxic people are just too lazy.
Most of us on PS4 use the phone app to message other players. It’s a lot easier!

I think that those are what the community calls salty survivors lol. If you hide because the killer probably has BBQ, that is not in any way a bad decision to make besides, you are only going to hide for a few seconds and come right back out. Also, it is not of the upmost importance to hide in a locker to avoid being seen by BBQ because remember, the killer has to choose somebody to chase which is not always going to be you. Just be alert if you are sure the killer has BBQ and be prepared for a short time after he/she hooks somebody.
Usually when he hooks somebody I am working on a gen, so I always assume he’s going to come for me. 90% of the time I’m usually right.
-
The last few days I’ve been getting an unusual amount of IMs from other survivors telling me I’m crap and accusing me of hiding in closets all game. I literally have only been using them when people are getting hooked in case of BBQ. Is that frowned upon now or something? One of these guys actually texted me “HE ISN’T USING BBQ!!!” Hard to believe this guy was a red rank because it was plain as day he had BBQ, and even sent him a screen shot to prove it. Think he was just pissed that he died so fast and needed someone to blame. Think he was playing with a friend because I had another guy in the same match also accusing me of hiding in closets. Don’t know how I did that and still get 23,000 bps (more than either of them), but if there’s a way somebody tell me!

While I wouldn't be opposed to some special interaction between a killer and they're maps, I'm not really a fan of an outright buff for it.
That’s the thing: I’d like to see or know “something” different when a killer has home rule, but I don’t want an obvious buff. It’d definitely be a tricky concept to work out, but for seasoned players it may be a little more fun to know to be more on your toes when dealing with, say, Michael Myers in Haddonfield.

Thanks for sparing me some time. I was going to post the same thing. Each realm in the demiplane of dread is ruled by a monster if some sort. They wield incredible power, but they are forever prisoners to the Mists. I can’t believe that the creators of Dead by Daylight didn’t use Ravenloft as an inspiration.

If you think the only reason people DC is entitlement, you're seriously out of touch with the community.
Did I say that was the only reason? No, I didn’t, so don’t jump to stupid conclusions. But clearly if people are going to rage quit the first time they go down then they must think they deserve to have the round go there own way. There are legitimate reasons to disconnect. Just because the killer caught you isn’t one of them.

This kind of thread falls upon the deaf, but whatever. I saw a red level two guy kill himself on first hook today as I was running down the stairs to the basement to save him. Afterwards I saw that he wasted a 4th year anniversary cake and a purple item with a couple of decent items. It wasn’t a d/c but probably even more non sensical. He only earned about 1500 points.

It's bugged, the survivor doesn't scream. Pro tip, if you watch the perk icon to see when if it goes on cooldown early, you'll know someone has touched the gen.
You mean cool down doesn’t even start the second you hit the gen? This perk is even worse than I thought!
-
It’s just a lousy perk. 30 seconds of usable time with 2 minutes of cool down, with zero ability to choose which gen you want to use it one. I had a guy in a match that I didn’t know try it four different times when I was a killer and it didn’t go off once. It’s pretty useless in comparison to other gen control perks. Give me Overcharge or Tinkerer over this any day.

Advocating for constructive, educated balance discussion is not toxic. You publicly posted your thoughts, which you admitted were based on 3 games where you were not using his power effectively whatsoever, and you should expect responses to encourage you to continue actually learning about what you're trying to discuss. Considering you're this quick to call something underwhelming while also not understanding it at all, I'm not surprised you're going to label anything that disagrees with you as "toxicity" but I digress. Contribute better.
Hey, contribute better yourself. Others here have given constructive insight to the topic at hand. You on the other hand just chimed in to pick a fight near as I can tell. You certainly haven’t added anything to the conversation about the perk. Believe it or not it is entirely possible to skip over a thread without being a dick.

Hey, could you actually continue playing and learning the killer and his best playstyle & perks before unnecessarily making forum posts calling his power underwhelming? Thanks.
The fact that you take 3 games to land a single hit of his power shows you should not be making forum posts about this killer. Keep learning, either through watching players who are skilled with him, or through playing him yourself, then contribute your educated thoughts. You are currently being "that guy."
Hey, could people on this board be less toxic to converse with? Thanks.

Your neglecting the fact that billy has a charge time that blight doesn't have sure he has to run into something but once you start getting the hang of him you can start using that to your advantage.
Maybe. Generally speaking I don’t yet see much advantage in using a fancy pants maneuver when you can just use a basic attack and get the same result.

If you don't want to be "shamed" AKA me just pointing out the flaw in what you yourself said, then maybe don't critique a killer you're clearly in the midst of learning and don't have a solid grasp on, "Brewster."
Thanks for your “contribution”, cool kid.

If it takes you THREE MATCHES for one Lethal Rush that's more an indicator to your skill level than the killer.
Thanks for the needless shaming over me learning a new killer. You’re so cool, Brewster!
Regardless, Billy can down with one rush without ping ponging off of walls, it really isn’t too off the wall to suggest that Blight could maybe compete in that dept especially with an ability called “Lethal” Rush. I don’t know, call me crazy.

Again how many red ranks are playing with Premonition ? Many, I often come across them, I used to play with these perks and I know how to use them. I'm the champion of the hatch, I'm always the last survivor in the game !
Premonition + Spine chill = last survivor😀
Uh, yeah. We were only talking about spine chill. Clearly you can improve your odds by adding other perks. Egads.
I’m often last survivor even without choosing Premonition. There are better perks to choose from that are better in the survival dept.

You would probably find it very, very difficult to run into him on an OPEN map.
That's why I'm happy with Freddy's new Map, the vegetation reminds me of Scream (the movie). That's how maps should be !
Spine chill would be easily bypassed with vegetation, trees, and the feeling of having a COVER!🤗
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1609048#Comment_1609048
I'm not asking for it to be removed, I'm asking for.. just rework...🤔
Oh, running into him on an open map definitely happens. Working on a gen, spine sense comes on and stays on meaning that he likely heard the gen and coming straight for you. You just don’t know from with direction but you have to move. North, south, east, west: 25% chance that which ever direction he is coming from is the way you choose. Wide open maps only give him a better chance of him seeing you at the same time you see him.
-
Spine chill can also work against you. There’s been plenty of times when seeing it activate has caused me to move from my position only to have me stupidly walk right into him.

Small Game
Definitely. I always run Small Game. Maybe now this new hex will incentivize others to cleanse so I’ll no longer be the only one looking for the damned things every round. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve cleansed 3, even 4 totems during a round only to have NOED still activate. It’s really difficult to do that job all by yourself even with Small Game.

It just me or the lobbies are instant for killer but take forever as survivor. Anyone got any solution on how this can be fixed so the populations are more balanced ? 🤔😬
Killers are also be thrown in lobbies they shouldn't be in. Baby killers shouldn't be matching with red ranks...
It’s the exact opposite problem in the middle of the day: being the killer seems to take forever to get in a lobby whereas being a survivor only takes a moment. There is no happy medium, apparently.
-
I’d say keep it active until the hit player is hooked or healed and get rid of the cooldown but keep the locked pallets in the initial area the perk was activated. 15 seconds is garbage when skilled players can easily loop the killer for a lot longer than that before even throwing a pallet. It’s a joke.
-
@The_Krapper said:
Hex blood favor is terrible , it literally is training bad survivors to run away from a unsafe tile without using the pallet and finding a safer tile, a killer perk shouldn't be used to teach survivors how to play in my opinion , your best case scenario when using this perk is you down a survivor in the pallet and it can't get slammed on you if you pick him up , other than that you're just making the game harder on yourself when endgame comes and most of the pallets are still up , good killers will want those pallets gone early on, the earlier the better
Your best case scenario is unlikely to happen. By the time you catch up to them the time is nearly expired. I bet if you tried to pick them up you’d probably still get it slammed on you. 15 seconds is complete shite, especially when compounded with a cooldown period. All pallets within range should be locked until the survivor gets hooked.

I tried the one which block palletts and the insta down if they touch the kicked gen, both seemed to worked. Tho i don’t remember if the survivor screamed or not
Good to know. Guess I’ll have to try again later. I do think that these perks should be reworked a little. Neither Blood Favour or Dragon’s Grip should have time limit, and the range limit on Dragon’s Grip should be doubled for starters.

How do you mean?
Perks for Blight didn’t seem to work for both matches I played. One round as killer, one as survivor. Saw zero auras near totems. Nobody screamed or got exposed working on gens. People that got hit are still able to throw pallets immediately after.
-
@VicThor said:
Dear T-baggers,
Would it be a big effort not to T-bag at least for a week if you see a Blight player?
I don’t really get why is it good to them or anyone, and why they gotta be even sweaty during those games.
Thanks
Could you tell if your perks worked or not? I couldn’t.
-
As I posted elsewhere, I haven’t seen any evidence that his perks are working. If they are then they are too weak and are essentially worthless.
-
Dragon’s grip definitely isn’t working. I tried the new survivor against Blight. He hit a gen and I went to work on it well within 30 seconds. No scream, no exposed status. Nada.
-
If they’re refusing to be healed, are you absolutely sure they’re not running No Mither? But yeah, I’ve run into this. If they don’t stop running away, I give up trying.
-
I stopped using ds probably a month after began playing the game. Most of the time it just wound up being a wasted perk slot because I usually would outlast the period when it was active. A lot of times I would mess up the skill check because I’d forget that I was even using it. And then sometimes it wouldn’t even activate after the first hook, it’d wait until after the second, which would totally mess with me.
-
@Zozzy said:
If you know it is a thing, then why are you going near it?
In the heat of a chase it’s easy to overlook it. Also on certain maps you may not even be aware that you are next to “the” hill. It doesn’t always look the same.
-
Literally the easiest challenge to do as the Doctor. Just make sure you use perks to slow down gen progression and you’ve got 45 screams, easy.
-
It creates way too much of an unfair advantage for survivors. It’s always immediately obvious when I’m dealing with a SWF group and that I have little to no chance of taking out more than two of them. They can communicate with each other about where you are on the map, intentionally blow gens that aren’t being worked on to distract from those that are, all sorts of things. It’s good that I don’t take the game very seriously otherwise it would probably piss me off. Working on the rift at least gives me something to work for that most of the time have little to do with an actual “win”.
-
I have crossplay disabled. Wait times are no different than I’m used to. Maybe I’m wrong but the few games I tried with it on it didn’t feel like I was on a level playing field. Maybe that’s all psychological.
-
I was running away from Ghostface and got stuck in that spot. He hit me, I went down and then HE got stuck, too! Only for a few seconds though. He was able to lunge attack forward and get out of it.

If the game got to that point the killer earned his win. That is owed.
Getting a hatch at that point after you lost is getting something you aren't owed. It wasn't earned.
Also the scenario you describe about the killer getting free time to find the hatch while the last guy hides is pretty invalid as now the killer closes it and the survivor gets a free gate open unless he literally plays dumb.
Nothing is owed. The game isn’t over until it’s over. And despite what you say there is still an element of skill in escaping through the hatch. A totally useless, do-nothing player is going to have a hell of a time surviving to be last, never mind escaping without help. They still need to know map layout, likely spawn points, and what to listen for. Doing it under the radar isn’t all that easy. And if the killer finds the hatch first they still have to have the patience to be able to stop opening the gate once or even twice midway through and hide before the killer shows up. The fourth kill can be tricky, but that’s the game. If the hatch isn’t fair then neither are moris.

The game isn’t done until its done. And despite what you say there is still an element of skill in finding the hatch and escaping, or opening the gate once it’s closed (which usually involves stopping and hiding once or even twice midway through). The killer isn’t owed anything and if you’re not taking into account to inevitability of the hatch spawning and opening then that’s on you. The odds of a completely useless, do-nothing survivor finding the hatch and escaping are generally pretty slim. Either way, it’s considered a win for the killer. The entity is still pleased.
-
If you’re really paranoid about the last person escaping via the hatch, these are the perks I’d use as the killer: BBQ & Chili, Iron Maiden, Franklin’s Demise, Insidious. Maybe swap NOED for Insidious and play a stealth killer instead.

Franklins doesn't counter keys and is a wasted perk slot.
Slugging the last two people to prevent the hatch is why people do it. No one enjoys it but it's a forced play style because hatch exists. That isn't good.
Sure I can play like a dick and drag out the game while one person bleeds to death and the other guy just sits on the opposite side of the map in a corner waiting for him to die. That isn't the kind of game play that should be encouraged. Nor does it actually solve the issue.
There's very little strategy with hatch at all. If the doors aren't close it's a free escape for the survivor unless he plays dumb.
Franklin’s doesn’t remove the key from the map but it can make it difficult to relocate once dropped.
If the remaining survivor doesn’t want to heal the dying survivor while the killer hunts for the hatch then that is a personal strategy, but it only makes the killers job of locating the hatch easier. Don’t see the big deal either way. Nobody is owed anything.
-
If you have successfully hooked and sacrificed 3 survivors but have failed to consider and take into account the existence of the hatch then you deserve to lose the 4th survivor. I don’t care how well of a killer you were up to that point. The hatch is part of the game play. Instead of complaining about it, adapt and strategize. You aren’t owed anything.
-
@Blueberry said:
Sounds about as bad of an idea as the hatch we have now is.
They're both literally just a freebie pitty reward.
The hatch is just as much a gamble as anything else in the game is. It all comes down to strategy and the killer can negate survivor’s advantages pretty easily. Someone carrying a key into a match? Use Franklin’s Demise. Don’t final hook the second to last person without knowing where the hatch is first. Yes, sometimes a bad player can stumble upon an open hatch and escape, but it’s just as much your fault for allowing it to happen.
