I’d still love to know why he effs up my controls so badly.

Actually, I see what you mean but Iron will only stops the moaning noises you make from being injured. Calm spirit is the perk that doesn't make you scream from stuff like death bound, doctor, or clown's gas, etc.
That’s funny because I really don’t remember screaming. Maybe I did. Probably I did. Didn’t give it much thought.
-
@Yords said:
Blindness when you heal someone? I think you are referring to Death bound
It makes someone scream and suffer from the *oblivious status effect for a minute after healing another player 32 meters away from the killer.
Yeah, that’s the one. I was using Iron Will so I wasn’t screaming out loud, which made me think that it might be a different perk. Lol

I keep forgetting to check: does he show up on spine chill?

Ormond is beautiful to look at now. I love the way you can see the wind blow. Makes it feel very cold and desolate. Total thumbs up!
-
I’m having fun playing her to the point where I don’t even care if I suck at her and most of the lobby escapes. The learning curve isn’t nearly as frustrating as Blight.
I did get a 4K (didn’t get the adept trophy) but only because they were playing really stupidly. I think they were trying to get it so that all 5 generators would go off at the same time. Then when I hooked one they all seem to come running into my arms.
-
This happened when I got Adept Ghostface last week. 4 Kills. Nothing. No reason. It was a few more days before I tried again because I kept getting stuck with high rank SWF groups. Finally got it though but it was really frustrating having to try for it again when I shouldn’t have had to.
-
If you’re on the hook you can see others but unless you’re using a perk they can’t see each other. I think more often than not that is why so many people rush for the save. It isn’t stupidity it’s just ignorance due to lack of information.
But then some players are just stupid even with enough info.
-
I don’t know. I like collecting things, trophies, perks, levelling up to the max, completing challenges. The one thing that I’m really not interested in is being super competitive and proving I’m the best, so getting to rank 1 is the last thing on my mind. I don’t care if I win or lose as long as I don’t get tunneled the second I spawn. Having fun is the most important thing.
-
In some (non-SWF) games there is that one keystone character if you can get them on a hook the rest of the group collapses. They’re not always easy to pick out in the crowd, but if you can figure out which one it is they are worth tunneling. The game runs a lot smoother once they’re out of the picture.
-
I hope this doesn’t mean more clown in a santa suit. Because dammit I hate that guy.

The game actually has a timer for loading players into matches. This exists because sometimes a round may start before every player has actually finished loading. If the timer ends before everyone is in-game, it will terminate the match.
tldr: dial up users arent loading fast enough
I figured it was something like that. Last week when I began the game somebody was already fixing a nearby generator. I wonder if it’s possible to get hit by a killer before load in? Sometimes I’m surprised how closely I miss them at the start. Barely have time to hide.

Midwich Elementary & The Game
I can't stand playing on these maps as either killer or survivor.
I agree, but out of the two Midwich is definitely worse. At least the top floor of the Game is fairly open. Both floors of Midwich are mazes of tight quarters that sometimes seems like forever before I locate one single gen. And it always drives me crazy never being able to tell if the killer is on the same level as me.
-
Just had a round with a David working with Freddy. Was wondering why people were dropping so fast. Such a stupid way to play. Makes it pointless and rather boring I would think.

Yea... I still don't have all of the perks for one killer/survivor
After sinking ~700 hours into this game
The thing that bothers me is that some of my characters have better versions of perks than the original survivor they came from. Also, there are just some flat out awful perks I don’t want even one person to have and yet I’m forced into making every single one teachable. I can’t tell you how often I groan when I level up a character and have to deal with useless Ace Visconti perks! Ugh!

Teammates that run self care are bots
I don’t like to make generalizations like that. I usually do run self care most of the time because as a lone player I can’t trust others to be there to heal me. I think my OP kind of proves that point. But lately I have been trying harder to rely more on med packs to free up a perk slot.

1st one, I agree with you 100%. The other two are subjective. I crouch around all the time, but I also run Urban Evasion to not disturb the crows and get to gens quietly. I also go down in 30 seconds sometimes, depending on who the killer is, so you can't really claim the last two to mean they're a bad survivor.
I hate when I'm hooked and no one even attempts to try for the rescue. The survivors that body block, purposely sandbag and help the killer are the worst by far though
The Urban Evasion thing is a tough call. I sometimes get messaged by people who die on hooks accusing me of doing that or other similar things, but truthfully they’re only seeing what I’m doing for that minute they’re on the hook and not the rest of the average 10-15 minutes. Also they’re only seeing auras, which can give you a lot of information, but not everything. What you interpret happening may not actually be happening. You just know that person isn’t helping you off of the hook.

Get over yourself. It's just a game. Doing something spiteful back makes you just as toxic.
Lol. Yeah, it’s a game. A game that immediately becomes unfun when others are intentionally trying to dick you over. Payback isn’t being “just as toxic”. If people weren’t toxic then it wouldn’t happen, and if others are already setting you up to fail then the round is already ruined. Why should I help them survive when they have already signaled that they’re going to screw me over, and in fact already have? Get over YOURSELF.

I do this occasionally to people but I always give them the item after. You should learn how to animation cancel when opening a chest. It save you a couple seconds and will also allow you to open the chest and grab the item quicker than they can steal it from you. As soon as the bar fills, you press sprint and forward. It immediately finishes the chest animation.
I shouldn’t have to learn it. You shouldn’t do it. If you steal from me then be aware that I will screw you over later when you need me most. End of story. I don’t know why you would swipe it just to give it back anyways? As a joke? Power trip? Anyways, it’s weird. Stop it.
-
I’ve been having an unfun night. When I’m a survivor I keep getting stuck against rank 1 killers and when I’m the killer I keep getting put up against survivors that know every trick in the book. Usually it’s a little more even than that, but I play enough that I keep ranking up even when I don’t deserve it. At the moment I’m a rank 4 survivor and a rank 14 killer. I started the night as a rank 15 killer but somehow I leveled up even though I’ve gotten only two kills at most in a game tonight.
-
Just got tunneled by the Spirit and highly suspected she was using rancor. She wasn’t very good so I just ran off to the furthest corner of the map from the gate and allowed the others enough time to open the gate so everybody else could escape. Oh well.
-
I gave a good scare to a guy as the Wraith yesterday. I was using the add ons where you couldn’t hear the bell and I could also see auras through walls. This was in Haddonfield and a Quentin was trying to be sneaky on the first floor of one the houses. He was crouching along the floor and looking out the front door as he began slowly climbing the stairs. It took him a full two seconds to realize what was blocking him from going up as I silently materialized right in front of his eyes! His panic was priceless!

The only thing that really gets under my skin is if you're working with another survivor on a gen and the killer pushes you both towards a loop and you go the same way. So you're following behind the other survivor and he drops the pallet and locks you in with the killer for a second.
Thanks buddy. I owe ya one.
Lol. Yeah, I’ve done that as well as have had that done to me before. Things happened in the heat of the moment that aren’t intentional. That’s one of the grey areas. A less grey one is the tactic of leading the killer to a gen that is getting repaired just to get him off your back. Is it intentional or just happenstance? You’ll never know for sure.
-
Lol. Just the other day I got messaged by a salty Leatherface that called us survivors “gen rushing fags”. I didn’t bother to engage him but just laughed. Nobody was gen rushing, he was just a bad player. Everything a killer shouldn’t do he did. He tunneled a player that was skilled at looping. He wouldn’t damage gens when he came across them, and then when he finally got that one guy he tunneled he camped in front off them. He was just pissed that while he was in the chase 3 gens popped almost simultaneously out of pure coincidence and then while he was camping we popped the other 2 instead of going for the hook save. And to add insult to injury, he couldn’t even managed to keep that one guy on the hook which resulting in poor wee Bubba disconnecting. In short: HE SUCKED. Hahaha.
-
Now I know why threads get lost and never resurrected around here. Nobody pays attention to the conversation or how old it is and only ever responds to the original post.
-
Is wanting to pip a matter of pride? It’s not something that I’m interested in, and honestly I think it’s too easy to do. By the time the ranks get reset I always make it to the red ranks but I still suck at looping. I wish I could just stay at rank 8-10.

Good evening,
I would like to know your opinion of the most annoying perks to go against.
As a survivor, I would say Tikerer. It's a good perk to avoid finishing a generator but sometimes you really want to finish that one generator but you can't. It's so frustrating, especially against certain killers.
As a killer, I would say Dead Hard. It's not so much about the perk as it is about who uses it. If you go against strong survivors who know how to extend an already difficult loop, you are pretty much screwed. It's one of the most punishing things I know when I play as a killer.
😘
I also agree with Tinkerer. It makes it very difficult to complete gens with one person down. With two people down you may as well hope that the other one left gets hooked first and make for the hatch.
-
Lol. Nobody noticed that this thread is over a year old. I doubt the original OP is still looking for pointers. I only resurrected the thread to ######### about being cheated out of the trophy.
-
Just got cheated out of my Adept Ghostface trophy. First time playing that killer. 4K, 3 iridescents and 1 gold, nothin’. And yes, I was only using his 3 perks. I did use add-ons but that hasn’t stopped me from getting any other Adept trophies in the past.
-
That’s silly. When you kill them they lose the flashlight anyways. Nothing wrong with using both lightborn and franklin though.
I’m a fan of Leader. It’s probably my fifth most used perk.
-
I love Tinkerer as the killer, but as a survivor it makes it impossible to fix a single gen if two people are already out. There’s been quite a few rounds where I just give up and let the killer get me so I can go to another game.

Guy, DS is the best survivor perk in the game, with UB, DH and BT. Give it a try
I have tried it. I don’t really about it because most killers wind up tunneling me anyways.
-
I haven’t used it since the first month I started playing dbd. It’s an okay perk, but I’m only allowed 4 and there are at least 5 others that I’ve learned give me better odds at winning, or at least more bloodpoints if I don’t.
-
@Mdawgu said:
I mean do you want the match to go on indefinitely if the survivor is solid snake? Just slug the third and get over it.
That’s the common strategy, but the person slugged will still eventually die anyways and the hatch will still open. It’s a band aid, not a real cure for the problem. (Not that I personally see a problem in the hatch.)
-
I think it would be cooler if the killer was a doppelgänger, able to change into other survivors at will. Just make that its main power and forget iridescent add ons.

I mean he was afk before condition. He wasn't walking in basement waiting for survivors. He just stood in the corner watching the chest.
Yeah, he would need to stand still otherwise Insidious wouldn’t work and neither would the trap.
-
@kaeru said:
I have seen a video montage with bubba like this. He was absolute afk, and used chainsaw only when someone tried to open chest.
Then he wasn’t really afk then.
Leatherface in the basement has been done to death. If you want to do it then do it, but it just creates a boring game for everybody else. Why does it always have to be that guy anyways?
-
I wouldn’t mind seeing the Fisherman from I Know What You Did Last Summer or at least a killer modeled along those lines. A nautical themed map would be different.
-
I don’t usually have it but when I do it’s at the start of the game and lasts a few minutes. Its very annoying because it makes skill checks impossible. Basically I have to hide in a corner until it clears up.
-
I hate the Clown much, much more. Don’t care for Legion either.
-
Great. Hope I just need to restart the game otherwise at that rate I’ll get to tier 70 before I earn enough points to pass the challenge.
-
@Mister_xD said:
i bought the 1st rift and ever since paid for the next one with the 1k auric cells i got from the previous, so i'll continue purchasing rifts until i cant reach tier 69 at some point.
but yeah, in general, if you actually gotta pay money to get it, it would certainly be best to wait and see how far you got before buying it.
also i dont want to imagine how much you played to get to tier 70 before finishing the challenges xD
1 tier is like 12 games, so that must have been a lot of matches...
Not all challenges can be completed in a single match. A lot of them you could easily clear an entire tier before earning the 3 to 5 rift points you were trying for. In the two rifts I have completed to 70 I only had to do a few of the killer challenges in level 4.
-
@Kellie said:
Honestly the rifts aren't worth getting.
For me it was worth getting because 1) I was playing the game and earning rift points anyways, and 2) I could use the auric cells earned to purchase licensed characters that I was already planning on getting.
-
I bought the rift passes once I knew that I was going to have enough time to make it to 70 before closure. I can’t remember exactly when, probably around tier 50 with weeks left to go.

Always cleanse totems. Getting hit with NOED is much more annoying than having to meet up with someone to heal.
The latest round I had an argument about this is was from a guy that died but stuck around to watch me play and critique me for hiding and searching chests rather than fix gens. It’s like, dude, I fixed a gen, worked on a couple of others, unhooked two players and healed them, had to heal myself alone three times, and I cleansed 3 totems. I was supposed to keep at the gens with two men dead against a rank 1 gunslinger doing a damn good job patrolling the remaining gens alone and without a toolbox? Get real. Which would be fine, I can handle criticism, but not when he takes the time to blame as the sole reason we lost that round.
-
I get crapped on sometimes by people when they ask why I am cleansing totems when I don’t use Inner Strength. It’s like, really? If that is the only reason people see in cleansing then it’s no wonder why we always seem to have to deal with NOED in the endgame. Can’t believe that I hear this from red and purple rankers, too.
-
I finished this rift several days ago, but I get what you mean. It is a hell of a lot of grind, which is why I took an extended break after completing the second rift and didn’t do the third one at all (not having Kate Denson made it an easy decision for me to make).
