I’m finding that the greatest benefit to crossplay is that the amount of salt I get from other players has been cut down substantially. Being on PS4, it doesn’t seem like I can receive messages from other platforms, or send them either.

I see no reason to abandon my generator (being the only one putting in work) if my team-mates are abjectly stupid. That goes double if I am injured.
And triple if you aren’t currently running any perks that would make it anything other than a suicide mission. If you know its a trap, don’t take the bait.

If one person is hooked, another is downed, and the 3rd is being chased get off your gen and unhook or heal the downed person, so many games have been lost due to selfish players only wanting to get points, or to scared to try to help.
I generally agree. However, if those three are being idiots and/or obviously a part of a swf group, then it isn’t totally uncommon for me to say “screw’em” and plan a hatch escape.
-
You weren’t just face camping, you were protecting the part of the map with three close generators. It was simply the smart play. Leaving the area so the survivors had a chance to win, wasn’t.

Does really playing Billy is that hard? Like getting 5-6 chainsaw hits are hard? I'm really not flexing or anything, but I find it very strange how much people struggle with him. How much hours do you have in DBD?
I have no idea how many hours I have. The important question is how many hours I have playing Billy and the answer is clearly not enough. I don’t particularly enjoy playing ANY killer, but Billy is pretty easy to dodge if you know how.

Welcome to Twins. They're easily the worst Killer in the game. Victor is so much easier to counter than a lot of people on these forums realize to the point where a Survivor who understands what the counters are can basically render him almost as bad or even worse in chases than Charlotte.
And he can't pick Survivors up or use Perks.
And he can be kicked for doing literally anything.
They're so bad it's insane. It baffles me that people think these Killers are not only good, but top-tier. Genuinely baffles me. I would literally rather play perma-tier 1 Myers.
What I dislike most about them is their lack of tracking ability. Victor can’t see red trails and Charlotte can always see Victor, EXCEPT when he is latched onto somebody. How the hell does that make any sort of sense? If she could see him when on somebody at least it would stop people from abducting him. Soooo stupid.
-
I only 99 when there is somebody on a hook. Most of the time it seems if you open the gate while somebody is still hooked they are a lot more likely to camp it.
-
I got it done last night, too. It was a longer slog than usual because of the killer challenges. I don’t own Clown at all and all of the Billy ones are repetitive and ridiculous. I’m lucky if I hit one person with the saw in a match, no way I’m going to do 5 or 6. Lol
I did somehow manage 4 stuns in a round against a Legion player. Not sure how that happened either because pallet stuns are still one of my weak skills as survivor.

@NomiNomad said:
That's a good question, actually. I suppose the question is, what would they activate on?
I don’t know. End game collapse. Repairing the third generator or even more than one generator within a short time frame of another. Or even cleansing more than two totems to make cleansing more of them harder and more dangerous. Plenty of things they could do.
-
I was expecting this thread to tell me something like if I do, my phone will ring and then I’ll only have 7 days left to live. I’m so disappointed.
-
I hate Meg and her stupid, vacant looking cross-eyed stare. And the skins I’ve been getting for her from the rifts are just as ugly as her face!
-
He doesn’t need to be literally invisible, but it would be nice to have one killer that is totally immune to spine chill, at least.
-
This is the typical reaction of somebody that believes that their experiences are the same as everybody else everywhere. If it’s snowing here then obviously climate change is a myth. If all of my friends are voting for candidate A then it is impossible for him to lose. You, my friend, are just one person among millions. You may get 4K every round but there are plenty that are getting 0K every round to average everything out.
-
Sometimes I think about using Insidious on Michael Myers just for stupidity’s sake. Still haven’t done it.

I agree. Left Behind and Evil Incarnate do need a rework. Cause with the EGC, it's almost impossible to get the last gen and escape.
I unlocked Evil Incarnate in 2016 and it was lots of pain to do so. My only suggestion would be to try that at green or brown ranks. Not saying it's not doable at red or purple but if you like to suffer and hurt yourself, be my guest.
Do you mean “Left For Dead”? I did it back in February so it is definitely possible, although I don’t honestly remember how I did it. But if I was to guess, it would be that I was already on the generator as the person died on the hook.

LOL
This sounds right though. I had something similar happen with a Miguel the other day. I got slugged and I was at a pallet and instead of throwing it and touching me to get me up, two teammates got slugged right along with me. I don't even care about losing, it was just so painful to watch. I honestly do not know how so many people are so absolutely clueless as to how to play this game.
It was just so stupid. Every single one of them should have known better. The Myers music TELLS you when he’s reached tier 3 and considering how close the down survivor was too my hook only an idiot would have assumed they had enough time to heal her. What’s the damned rush? You have like a minute of safety on a first hook. Would it really have been so hard to wait until tier 3 elapsed. Christomighty!
OK, done ranting now.
-
I posted this a few days ago but nobody responded, so I’ll paste it here because it is entirely relevant to this discussion:
Match starts and within a few seconds I notice Myers in the distance so I hide until he passes. Not too far away I notice he slows so obviously he begins stalking somebody else. I take the opportunity to make some distance between us, but NO! The person that is getting stalked sees that she is being stalked and sees me running off in the distance so what does she do? She follows me! So now Myers notices me, too. I run around a building but Myers is coming around the other side so I turn around and try to go through a window but I wind up getting sandbagged by the person initially stalked just as Myers reaches Tier 3. I go down. But instead of running further away the other person remains inside the building and attempts to heal (close enough that Myers can hear). She goes down, too. I go up on the hook. While I’m on the hook a third person runs up and tries to heal the initial stalkee. Myers is still in tier 3 and HE goes down, too! In the meantime, the fourth person finishes a gen so what does he do? Rushes right over! Tier 3 finally elapses but it’s too late. 2 on hooks, one on the ground and the fourth is being tunneled. Game over in less than 4 minutes. The kicker? Everybody was in red ranks.
-
Same. I don’t even like playing killer much but I’m on tier 68 and just want it done with. I got all of the survivors in one round down on those hooks, a couple more than once. Big fat zero. Very annoyed right now. By the time they fix it I will no longer need the points.
-
They have priority.
My most satisfying hatch escapes are the ones where the killer is already on the hatch when it about to open, and when I contest it, they panic and hit me instead of keeping their cool and closing it first. If they mess up and hit me it leaves an opening to escape during their cool down.

You yourself may never use it, but I guarantee you that most people do especially at high ranks. Usually, I would say that I stay calm under pressure and think clearly as well. It is not a wasted perk most of the time because you still guarantee that there is an obsession. This is enough to make the killer slug a recently hooked person at most which is more beneficial to the survivors since the killer misses out on a hook state. I have adjusted to its existence, and I love this game so why would I play something else? Just because killers still get 4k's all the time doesn't mean this perk is fine even when dealing with it.
I’m also at red ranks and I just don’t think DS is as common of a perk as you say it is.

It needs another nerf. It is still too powerful. And why should you get a pause timer if slugged?
No it doesn’t. It’s so situational that it’s basically a wasted perk slot 95% of the time which is why I never use it. If you can’t work around it as the killer then you’re too in the heat of the moment and not thinking clearly enough. DS is part of the game. You need to adjust to its existence or play something else. Plenty of killers are getting 4Ks with it just the way it is.
-
If I see a Blendette I will tunnel them, mainly because I may not find them again if I don’t. May have to begin tunneling bloody Quentin’s too.
-
How about a perk where if you hit a person it will hurt not only that person but anybody that can see his or your aura.

What an amazing coincidence! I nailed that Dwight with Pyramidhead's Judgement and the second his body hit the floor he disconnected!
Technology sure is funny.
All kidding aside, there is something about Pyramid Head that causes my controls to cut out and go bonkers. Could he also cause somebody to disconnect? It’s a possibility, but I wouldn’t count on it. But I could see somebody getting angry enough at the game for controls that keep cutting out whenever in close proximity to the killer.

And who says that you deserve your 4K? In the end, all 5 Gens were done, so you did not really do a good Job.
It’s just like saying “If the rules were different I would have won.” That logic doesn’t work even when you’re the President.

They didn't repair the last gen, but oh I closed hatch and that powers the exits for some strange reason. And I had actually been racing the survivor to the hatch and beat them there. But then the magic disappearing scratch marks happen, I lose them, go to patrol the exits, and they get out because the gates were too far apart. 2nd on top of 2nd chance on top of 2nd chance!
Lol, wut? There’s no 2nd chance upon 2nd chance. You got played, pure and simple. If you found the hatch first then you could have simply stood upon it until they showed themselves, THEN close it and tunnel them to dead. That they escaped detection and somehow managed to open one of the gates after that then that’s entirely on you. That escape was earned.
-
How often does this scenario happen? Not enough to worry about.
-
If all else fails, do you have any firecrackers? 3 out of 6 of my blinds for that challenge were from crackers.

Well, if I see people doing this I'm gonna slug.
How do you see which perks use beforehand? There isn’t anything you can do except slug every round if you’re really that paranoid.
But I already knew about this technique. It works even without the offerings but every little bit helps.

Might want to get that misery checked there. Cant be good.
Are you sure you’re responding to the right person? What did I post to suggest that I was miserable? All I said was that the money spent on the rift just went to things I would have had to pay money for anyways, with the added benefit of gaining extra stuff.

Doesn't Fortnite the grandpappy of battle passes not only pay you back but you make an extra few v-bucks in the process? Last I checked it was 950 to buy it and you got 1,500 in return. And everything in that season pass, all 100 tiers of items are permanently exclusive to that season? I haven't played in a long time so I don't know what the current battle pass system is like. For me the biggest issue is lack of clarity on what is going to be a forever exclusive to that rift and what may return at a later date. Armed with this information I can make a decision about whether or not I want to bother with the rift.
I don’t know. I don’t play Fortnite.

They and the entire rift contents cost 1000 auric cells which translates to real life currency.
Not that I'm particularly bothered as they are both sitting on my cosmetic shelf gathering dust. If people want to buy them for earned currency all good.
They cost 1000 auric but if you do the rift you get all of that back. I used those cells to buy licensed characters that I would have had to spend real money on anyways. Even if you didn’t do any of the challenges you could have earned some of those skins just by playing every day. If you didn’t check the rift to see if you did or not well that is all on you.

I’ve come to friggin hate Legion. Can’t outrun him, can pallet jump, can’t even hide from him. And that’s just without perks. He’s really damned annoying. He’s worse than Leatherface. People say he isn’t overpowered but I kind of disagree.

Well yes it depends on the license holders but minus Leatherface, and Ghostie every license has gotten their own map.
ahem ... Ash.

A better version of this perk would be if the chests would give tools that were defective and actively worked to damage gens in the case of tools or hurt you (med boxes) if you messed up their numerous hard skill checks.

Am I the only one who is getting matched game after game vs Bubbas full chainsaw attack and camping hooks like fktards?
Like 10-12 games today with this trash players
I had an Insidious Bubba just last night. He found a guy next to me that was AFK and literally carried him from one corner of the map to the opposite corner and hooked him in the basement before he came to. Then the other two people fell for the trap. No way I was going any where near that thing, especially not to save someone that was AFK. Weird thing is that I don’t know if he even left the basement when I was the only one still alive. I found the hatch not all that far away from there.

I actually dislike playing killer most of the time, but it isn’t totally a miserable experience if you get matched to people on your level. I rarely play killer except for rift challenges, but even then the last two games were 4K and 3Ks. So saying that it’s impossible is just a bit of an exaggeration. People do it every day.
As far as queues go, wait times are bad for survivors at night but good during the day. The reverse is true for killers.
-
I play solo and honestly it’s the variety that keeps me playing. Will I get a good team or will I get a sack of potatoes? You just never know.

That was not addons or perks or anything. That person was hacking. The main reason is the speed which they were just walking, but when they didnt hesitate to get you in the locker was the cherry on top.
Thanks for the confirmation. Being on PS4 I don’t usually run into hacking but this was crossplay.

######### was that game.
Thank you for watching. Is it just me? I’ve played against Legion tons of times but if this is a result of add ons then this is massively OP. There was literally no time to do anything for anybody regardless of where they were on the map. By the time I hid in the locker I had already given up.
(I don’t have Legion so I’m not sure what is possible with potential perk/add-on combos.)
-
-
I think that’s why having the rift is so important: it gives survivor mains a reason to play killer at least for a little while. If you’re trying to complete the rift you wind up noticing that many of the killer challenges are cake compared to the survivor ones and you can use them as shortcuts to the end of levels. “Chase survivors for 300 seconds”? You don’t have to be good to that, and it’s actually a lot easier to do if you aren’t!
-
I suspect a lot of baby killers use Lightborn which is why I never got good at flashlights and lost faith in them early on when I was a noob. They just never worked for me even when my aim was dead on so I just stopped using them.
-
What can I say? I’m a very good listener.
-
Spine Chill and Small Game virtually all of the time. Self care, Iron Will, Borrowed Time, Prove Thyself, are usually in the rotation. We’re Gonna Live Forever when I need bloodpoints. I like to keep at least one original perk for whatever character I use unless they’re all kind of meh.
-
I guess I over estimated killers. The last round I got it right off the bat in the shack. Stunned a Blight with the god pallet and then hit him with a firecracker. I didn’t even care that the rank 1 Blight downed me right after or that the round only lasted 5 minutes because I was the only red ranker in a group of noobs. I’m just happy to have it done.
-
Holy crap, I just got another two, and against a red rank Billy! I have a history of sucking at flashlights (which is why I used firecrackers for the first two) but I might actually get this challenge done tonight!

This sum it up from your perspective?
Lol, well it’s not like I all of a sudden came roaring back to life and mowed them all down like a pro. They threw the game all by themselves from my perspective. But hey, I don’t mind. I’m just a survivor main taking a short cut though the killer challenges so I can get to the end of the last level of the Rift faster. I’ll take any sacrifice I can get, even if it means I let you crawl into the corner and let the entity take you.
