They will not do that. @fcc2014 Even though your suggestion is good, they will not that too. They don't want to address this issue. If they wanted, the threshold for DCing would be much less than what it is now.

During the holiday double bloodpoint event dcing was insane. It isn't a surprise to see fellow survivors dc when they get downed the first or second time. I've had 6 games during the current event when the killer hard dced when all generators were done and i had a lantern. The threshold % is too high.

I will never understand a player who disconnects when losing. I would never give up 1 bp I earned in battle even if it is a "loss".

  • SWF for sure gen rushes. It is when the gates are open that opportunities to punish them arrive since they do not leave men behind. Well, at least we have discordance. This helps. If you do not have it yet make it a priority on all your killers. Once you do get it- pay attention to it and break chases to cause chaos.

  • Paired with Brutal and Bamboozal might be interesting as an experiment.

It’s funny when people think voice comm = militar strategy to defeat the killer. I play with friends and while there are a few “hey, ######### come save me”, we mostly joke around and laugh at each other... but well

Nah you know it is more like "he is headed back to you", "he is on me", "I am opening a gate", "I found his totem", " I am almost finished with the last gen head to the gate", ect ect ect ect.

I have admit, SWF no longer being able to call out perks after they get killed is pretty cool.

SWF swat squads exists but are few and far in-between. It is the same when people complain about Killer OP addons or Moris , it isn't every game. If it bothers you so much play something else.

Always the same bull. You will be dodged to oblivion.

What exactly are you going to do when everyone loads in at the same time and you have very little chance to discern the difference between swf and and solo survivors. If they are not dressed alike or have similar names how do you plan to "play" around that?

Same thing I do now. I am rank 1 in both roles. Proud of getting rank 1 survivor solo. I play against SWF but I know the deck is stacked and do not like it.

@ColonGlock I play against SWF all the time and the experience is not terrible it can be challenging, predictable and rewarding. I guess it comes down to personality types.

Rewarding is not what I would call it. If you enjoy being at a disadvantage good for you. The same type of person who plays killers without add-ons or perks for added challenge. I just want killers to get additional BP for the trouble.

I'm sorry but people have friends...

Some people have friends apparently the Op may not and is a salty little girl about it.

Again with the straw man. It is not about you playing with your friends. It is about the unfair advantage of sharing information during the match making it much more difficult for the killer. Fun for you and horrible for this random person who feels like ######### even if they win. I know you do not care and love having the advantage but the issue will continue to come up as the SWF experience on the killer side is terrible.

Give killers more bp for dealing with that crap.

Killers already get way more bloodpoints than survivors.

Killers who get destroyed by 3-4 man SWF are lucky to break 15k during those matches.

  • We all know it is fun to play with your friends. That is not the issue. Always brought up like a damn straw man. The issue is the voice comm advantage that makes the game horrendous for the killer. Always talking about "we are just messing around" but you know damn well as soon as the killer has the upper hand you go into swat communication mode. Give killers more bp for dealing with that crap.

  • Lucky for me I had killers to level up for full perks and have plenty on those particular killers. I played clown for days and now Wraith gets his turn. Hag and Nurse next :pirate:

  • Mclean confirmed billy add ons related to charge time will be nerfed. It should help. Use em while you can boys!

  • @ForeheadSurviors said:
His add ons that effect exhaustion is pretty stupid since the exhaustion nerf and needs looking into

And this is why I know it is effective and that yellow bottle will always be the add on I try for on his bloodwebs. I have 60 ready to go. :)

  • I took clown from rank 7-3 in the last few days. Exhaustion add on combined with low cooldown throws, bbq, enduring, agitation, and discordance. It is nice not having to deal with dead hard as much and I have got pretty good at not wasting bottles only cutting off loops or throwing at their feet close range. The extra hinderance add on also helps. Plus he laughs at the survivor every time he downs them. If you can keep the chases relatively short you can get 2-3k pretty often and more 4k if you are willing to slug. (which I am not.)

  • Never thought about it but owning all the DLC means you never have to deal with splinter offerings, so your bloodwebs are less cluttered. I would say the pied piper/farms offerings are my most hated addons besides mist.

  • My games have been more intense. Survivors are using lots of keys and are really trying hard not to get caught.

  • There is a DC at least 1 of 3 of my games regardless of the role I am playing. It seems worst than it ever was before the banning started.

  • Discordance and Surveillance are now permanent parts of my killer build.

  • From my testing, it is very situational depending on the map you are playing on. On Haddonfield, you will be a god but on a farm map, you picked the wrong perk. I will not be using it.

What is mlg software, and what does it do and how do I get it (if it's allowed)?

MLGA stands for 'Make Lobbies Great Again'. A software that gives you more information about the lobby you're in and you can blacklist people so you don't connect to their lobbies anymore (if not wrong?)

It shows you accurate pings and you can mark people loved and blocked. You can still choose to play with blocked players but it gives you a heads up on the type of player you are facing.

You mean if i block someone i can still end up in his lobby but it s going to happen less often or what?

It does not affect your chances of seeing them again. I know for sure it has saved me from playing with high ping survivors and killers. I still dont understand how I load up into 600 ping killer lobbies. I also have not had to play against any high ping survivors and that has made my experience better. I look forward to dedicated servers but for now, this is the best option for a consistently good experience.

  • BTW I just tried Spies from the Shadows on a corn map and it did not proc ONCE.

  • I just played a few clown matches and although I did not notice if I heard footsteps, I for sure heard survivor crying more clearly than before. Stridor will be useful now. Iron Will seems to be a must have more than ever.

  • This is why I disable the chat and leave it disabled. After game chat allows losers to strike out when they fail.

  • I use MLGA as the killer and this does not happen to me.

  • I take a break after every killer match. I switch between roles or watch a stream for a few minutes. This and disabling chat has reduced most of the stress.

  • I would rather move on to a new match than guard 3 gens. I can earn more BP that way. Regarding SWF I would be happy if they just gave a BP bonus for the extra effort required and identify them as SWF after the match is completed so there is no doubt.

  • Blood points are the goal. I would never DC and give up those BP. Even a loss gets you to progress on a blood web.

  • Adept Feng was the easiest survivor adept achievement for me and I was on Lerys against a Doc. Her perks are great for staying away from the action and getting gens done on your own.

I've noticed that some killers for me get me a lot more stressed than others, Some you really have to put a tonne of effort into so it can be hard to relax or even have fun playing them.
Try find a killer who you don't need to focus on too much, It's helped me.

Playing Trapper in 2019..why do I do this to myself :p

Take a break between matches and try to focus on having fun. Earning blood points is the goal. Kills will come as survivors make mistakes. Winning in this game is in the eye of the beholder. If you had fun you won. Also helps to equip perks based on how you want to play. For example, I run Enduring on all my killers by default so I do not care about pallets or DS. It is also advisable to avoid end game chat as many times this is the worst part of the game.

You also win when a survivor is salty at you for killing them because they were a potato XD

I play survivor too as this is critical to becoming a well-rounded player. I am not trying to hurt anyone and do not take pleasure from making people upset.

  • If you think killers are weak now you should have seen what existed in 2016. The best way to approach killer is to focus on Blood Points, not kills. The kills will come but survivors have to make mistakes. You just have to learn how to take advantage of those mistakes. Try to have fun and just do your best and ignore the things that would normally make you upset. I took a 9-month break and came back with a new attitude and it is fun to play again.

  • I would run Kindred if this was happening to me a lot. It helps your team understand if someone else is going for the save and helps them see if the killer is camping. If the 3 others see someone else going for the save or being chased then you get unhooked. If they see the killer camping they hopefully will stay on gens. Sucks and happens to us all but it is part of the game.

  • Wow, I did not realize this was a thing. Makes me really glad I got this achievement back when moris were instant once you downed them.

  • Just focus on earning BP and do not respect pallets. Use Enduring and always pickup facing a wall. Assume everyone had dead hard. Try to have fun!

  • Haddonfield has always been the best map for spies and now it is even better, but as others have said many maps have a much wider crow spread.

  • I would never run a perk that could be taken away from me. That being said, I have been in survivor games where ruin lasted way too long and a small percentage where it never gets found. I am grateful to ruin as it has forced me to get better at getting great skill checks.

  • Leader has been the difference between me and someone else cleansing a guarded hex totem at 9%. At 25% it will be really nice especially if Noed. I know for a fact I have assisted with gates opening faster and last-second escapes with current leader and with the new version it will be even better. I will still run it for sure.

  • As a solo, I could care less what the killer was running after I die or escape. On to the next match. If I am curious I could always wait until the end of the round.

  • Some of my most thrilling escapes have been crawling around and finding hatch.

So now the argument is ranking up would be to bully people? What do you think is happening now with the deranking and SWF smurfing to face lower rank killers? If someone is not good enough to pip they would not rank up.

U can rank up as killer without killing and as survivor without surviving.

I am fine with changing the requirements to pip. I just want it to be a one-way street once you meet those requirements.

  • @Skrill0x said:
how about making it so that the higher the rank the more xp and bloobpoints you gain? So at rank 1 you get double bloodpoints and double xp since games are harder for both sides. Give ppl a reason to stay at hight ranks rather than penalizing them for deranking

That might affect the blood point economy of the game in a negative way as everyone who can play would get there. I like my solution better as it counters the desire and ability to face easier opponents and takes away the excuse that it is hard getting queues at the higher ranks. I am fine with some reward whether it is shards, bp, or auric cells for the store though.

  • Yes, that is my point. The whole community who can pip would be playing together. The people who struggle would stay in lower ranks and learn. I am fine with also raising the ceiling on pipping or taking away safety pip and replacing it with some other penalty than losing pips.

  • So now the argument is ranking up would be to bully people? What do you think is happening now with the deranking and SWF smurfing to face lower rank killers? If someone is not good enough to pip they would not rank up.

  • Just try again and close chat. Learn from your mistakes and watch killer streams on Twitch to get tips. The Entity's left hand has some really good counter jukes that really work. Run into every pallet like a maniac and you will take away their best weapon. Face walls every time you pick someone up, always hit someone if you can. Focus on bloodpoints not kills. Hook them and forget them so you can pressure the gens.
