Freddy doesn't lose bloodlust when placing traps or pallets. Killers don't use bloodlust from non lethal actions. So no. He shouldn't.
I just heard a streamer say that Freddy does lose bloodlust. I am going to try it in KYF.

DS is not a balanced perk. I know it is anti tunnel, and I have supported that in the past. But can't deny it is a strong perk, especially against a god looper.
Best to just hit them and slug them and chase the unhooker. At least his team will have to go and pick him up off the ground, meaning you would know where 3 people were and only 1 could be on a genny during that moment.
I don't run it, but sometimes I do jump in a locker if being tunneled and killer just assumes you have it and will walk away from time to time, which can be fun.
-
As a long time killer main, it is dishonorable to work with a survivor to kill the others. You want to farm, fine farm with everyone.
But don't act like the killers must kill, and then turn around and team up with one or two survivors. And I will tell you, often times the survivor you are choosing to team up with, are the ones that farm each other, run around doing no gennys and provide very little help in a team game.
Sorry but I have no respect for killers that team up with survivors to kill the others.
I would rather have a tunnel me off the first hook to mori me with noed killer, then one that dishonors us killers that work hard to perfect our craft.

I’m glad it’s not just happening to me then. I’m starting to think it isn’t latency though. Because my hits connect when they should, vault grabs work etc. It’s just grabbing off things that doesn’t. So that’s what makes me think it’s just broken right now. Keeping all of you Scratch Mirror Myers in my prayers.
Yeah happened to me 3 times in one game the other day. A bit frustrating.

I’ve just had 2 separate matches and in the first one I went to grab a Dwight off a gen, I even made the grabbing animation, but he just stood up and ran off? And then in the second match, I grabbed a Jane off a totem, again touching her shoulder and doing the animation but just like the Dwight she stood up and ran off. Is this a glitch or a latency issue?
I’m currently running M&A and it’s allowing me to get really close to survivors but grabbing just won’t work for me.
Grab is so broken right now. Not only are you losing the grab , but you are not even getting credited for the hit and the survivor just runs away unharmed. But like @TheLastGreatStar said, I haven't seen it on vault grabs, but all others.

Unfortunately playing killer to stay in red ranks does require a try hard mentality. And often a need to tunnel someone at some point in the game. It is 4v1 so at the highest level it should be hard .
I know for me I just want that 4k as a killer. And have been conditioned to see this as a win condition by the emblem system. If I had started the game under different emblem conditions, where I could reach red ranks with a 2k average perhaps it would be different.
I guess this is why we see so few red rank killers anymore, and when I do I don't even blame them when they tunnel me out of the game. Don't get me wrong, I hate it, but it is a necessary evil at red ranks because of the skill of many of the survivors.

Nobody wants to play against iri huntress.
Iri Huntress?
I can't play Huntress, won't even attempt the dailies with her because I get so Frustrated.
I like Spirit, Freddy for strength, but I like clown and legion for fun and still have a lot of success.
I do not play strong addons tho, just strong killers.
-
It goes both ways with the whining, so I wouldn't necessarily claim one side is more than the other. I mean read the title of all the post on the front page and it is like "Nerf Doc" and "DS is ruining the game"
However I think the counter to every killers is smart teamwork and a bit of looping. If you get that middle genny early, and force killer to a bad rotation on outside gennys, and be able to loop for 30 to 40 seconds so your team has an opportunity to do gens, you have a very good chance at winning.
Mori's can be pretty strong, and an Ebony may be borderline broken on Killers that camp and tunnel off first hook. Same for those keys, although that does require a ratio of gens completed to survivors alive. But can still end a game prematurely.
-
Yeah DS is easy to counter and to avoid.
But like NOED on the flip side, it is just a perk in the game. Perhaps we don't like facing it but there are counters and it is in the individuals right to play the perks they want.
-
I rarely get bullied as a killer but I like to play strong killers, when I play competitively. I agree not every team you face are these awesome coordinated death squads. And if you capitalize on a mistake or two you can really snowball things your way.
I think a lot of survivors are not as good as they thin they are. Evidenced by how many will just suicide on their first hook after attempting to loop me. PSA guys you are totally screwing your team over when you do this, rando or not.

These kinds of claims can be made in favor of NOED too. NOED counters Survivors unga bunga'ing through gens and not bothering to do totems.
U don't need totems to escape.
Playing noed as a standard build is a crutch perk. Like I said play it if you want. But as a killer I don't see why you would go into a match already allowing for the thought that they will even power the gates.

Yeah it really on gets op at end game. Get rid of it early and no worries
-
My daughter brought us into the game. And now my wife, daughter and I have a pretty strong SWF. We have a lot of game nights where we play and talk and spend time together.
Also since I switched to survivor, after long time killer, I have empathy for killers and always send gg wp. I have made many friends this way and it often ends in pleasant conversation.

That’s an awful lot of shards. What are you going to do with it if not for cosmetics? Trade them for bitcoin?
Haha...idk. buy new killers I guess. It's kinda a challenge now...see how many I can get.

If they are giving you a free grab, just yank them out of the locker and get it out of the way. You don't want those DS around in end game anyway.
This right here. .eat it early.

Not really....
Bt counters camping...ds tunneling...unbreakable slugging...adrenaline is a reward for doing objectives....Noed is a reward for failure to do their objectives.
Play it if you want...but if you constantly rely on it. .then it seems one would constantly be allowing gates to be powered.

But the person on the hook gets nothing?
You'll get a depip. And that is what sux.
But as much as I hate it, we can't police every action in this game. Gotta let people play how they want and not reward it by trading hooks.
In the end the killer is limiting their own growth as a killer and will never get any better.
-
Yeah that entire post screams reward for playing badly,
"If the killer has no luck in hooking many survivors before the doors are activated, then the survivors should have been able to cleanse totems without feeling pressure, thus, not giving the NOED edge to the killer. It's on them if it activates."
Its whatever, but gotta agree it is a crutch perk.
-
Just do bones!
Sound familiar?

@hex_genrush said:
What I mean by tunneling is not chasing the whole game but chasing right after the unhook ok back to the point, any type of BM Aimed towards ruining a players game play is toxic in my book, if I see someone t bagging or flashlight clicking I’ll remember to go out of my way if they are unhooked while I’m in proximity to them. So, why do you try to be all cute but can’t handle the heat when you lose and have to spam post game chat / messages with insults and the “ ur bad “ blah blah blah ect ect
It just sux to be tunneled off the hook, it can feel like you didn't get a chance to play and often results in that depip that just seems to insult you. Even tho we know ranks can be meaningless.
But with that said, getting salty over it is something the survivor must work out for themselves by understanding killer is tough, and this is often the best way to swing some momentum back in their favor. I used to get upset over it, and it will still be a bit frustrating, however give em a gg and move on. At least you got to practice that looping.
-
You get penalized for countering a mori now! lol
I just would like to see the ebony mori go, and I have seen it suggested that Cyprus mori become basekit, I would support that in a trade to get rid of ebony.
-
It rewards a lack of pressure and/or an inability to win chases.
@not_Queen , your post itself says if killer has no luck hooking people, hence playing poorly.
I don't care if someone uses it, it is rare you will get our SWF with noed because we always do bones, and nothing is better then taking a hit and watching the killer pause and wonder wth, where is my NOED.
If not we will just find it and cleanse it and go rescue our friend.
But outside of just having fun, I can see no reason a person would want to go into every game with NOED, unless you are having all 5 gennys done on you consistently.

If I dominate in a match I sometimes let them all go. It's not about winning, it's about POWER.
If I completely dominate then I may also let some go. But I often know that it is the difference between a single and a double pip sometimes. I try for a minimum of 9 hook actions. Also if they only got 1 or none gennys done, I won't give them the hatch. They should have to earn it as well.

Since Teabagging is meant as an insult, it has the same effect as racial slurs at a sports game. If you dont see any issue with that, maybe you should start working on your social skills, and/or your empathy, and i dont mean the perk.
Teabagging is not the equivalent of a racial slur. That's a bit extreme.
Maybe the middle finger......

What kind of games do you really want? a game that lasts more than 1 year or dies in a few months? Stop the murderers tunneling with 5 generators at once. It makes no sense this way of playing. the killer who goes for the weakest since the beginning of the match, it really makes no sense. A killer who doesn't let anyone play. It is disgusting and gives the game a bad name but it seems that you don't care. It is a multiplayer game, we all have the right to play and not die on the hook without doing anything. Seriously, this can't go on like this. This attitude kills the players. penalize players who do not let others play.
I hate getting tunneled off the hook at 5 gennys. But have you played any killer in competitive ranks?
Because a killer is afforded very little margin for error. This strategy is unfun but I know with my swf by time you hook me for second stage we will have at least 3 gens done.
Tunneling sucks...and I believe will mostly lose the killer the game, especially if you have some one that can loop. But keep it in perspective..its just a game and killers are dealing with plenty of frustration on their end as well.
-
I have never experienced this. I always seem to have priority when closing the hatch. Ps4 btw.

"now".
It has always been like that. Killers just pretend that they "adapt" their playstyle because of the Ruin-Nerf. It is the easiest way to reduce the number of Survivors to 3 as soon as possible, because the game is not balanced for 3v1. So yeah, this is the reason why something like DS needs to exist, because tunneling one Survivor out of the game after their first hook is simply the most effective way for a Killer.
Yeah I certainly see why it is done. Just keep working on my looping I guess

Because if they overall nerfed it. Nobody would run it... Do you run useless addons on killer? No I wonder why...
As for DS in my games at least every second game someone tunnels me. Now tell me how is DS unfair?
The meta definitely seems to be tunneling now. I even started the ds unbreakable combo myself.
-
Its not hostage holding because you can find and kill them. It is indeed being a poor sport. Why would you want to do this?
To punish the killer because you got destroyed? Had a game like this recently. McMillan. First 2 dead quickly..last to just creeping around doing nothing. Finally went to top of storehouse and scanned until found em in a corner creeping along. Needless to say.. no one got the hatch.

In my personal experience, almost all SWFs I play are trying their hardest to win. As for the maps, Crotus Penn is survivor sided, 3 of the 4 Macmillan variations are survivor sided, most autohaven spawns are survivor sided, although I’ll admit there are some that favour the killer where very little filler pallets spawn in the middle of the map. I agree, the Game is a good killer map.
I think slightly less than others tho. If I get them as killer I dont mind ,unlike say haddenfield

I probably should’ve been clearer about what I meant about SWF being a guaranteed escape. This is assuming the team is playing as optimally as possible, communicating with each other and powering through gens. What maps do you feel are killer sided? Because I struggle to think of a map that’s balanced well.
I like Auto Haven as killer and survivor myself. Of course the game is good for killers. I think Crotus Penn has a lot of balance for both killer and survivor and i don't mind most of Mcmillian maps.
I hear you on optimal SWFs, but I just don't think many SWFs are that great. I have played some that are amazing, and that is what has motivated me to get good at survivor. But I get a lot of potatoes as well.
-
IDK, I have a lot of success as killer. I am only currently rank 8 after a bunch of resets and barely playing killer as I have recently switched to survivor. I am trying to play enough so as not to derank too much, and play potatoes. However I do have to play sweaty and constantly be thinking like two moves ahead if I want to play competitively. I will admit I want 4ks as a win condition, 3ks is okay if they got the hatch.
As a swf we can have nights where we escape like every match. But then we have nights like last night where we couldn't buy ourselves an escape. I mean we ran into quite a few red rank killers and they read me like a book while looping, admittedly the weakness in my game. But once a good killer gets going it can really start a snowball where we are just in a cycle of being injured and saving someone of the hook, while he is hooking someone else.
So I think overall the balance is not that bad. Some maps are, and of course a 4 man SWF with seal team skills is almost impossible to beat, some killers are weak, and some perks can be strong at endgame, but overall I think it is pretty balanced. PS4 btw.
-
I rarely hear anything from killers. Most just reply to my, gg wp, with thanks or gg back to me. It is very rare that a killer will send a message first.
I always send the gg wp.
It seems only survivors will send a message to me first when I play killer. And honestly that is pretty rare, because I play pretty fair and most don't get to salty with me. Although I must say, very few survivors will send gg to the killer. Why is that?
-
Seem he was a bit of a poor sport. I also don't camp or tunnel, however I am not going to be a complete fool about it either. There are situations where it is the smartest option. And for me if you bring in a key, I will notice, and as the game winds down, I will ensure you don't get to use it.
-

I find it dull to play killer, so I main survivor. Also, my wife and I play together so survivor is our only option.
For me, killer is a monotony of find-chase-down-hook, find-chase-down-hook, like I could waltz to it. The way I play survivor engages my thinking in a different way. I have to think about where I want to run, what gens I want to do, how to stay hidden, hunt for totems, unhook, heal, try to play last minute hero, and a variety of other things. Usually I switch perks every two matches, so I'm in a constant state of adapting and reconfiguring how I operate.
When I do play killer, I prefer M1 killers because I have to give additional thought to where I'm going and what I'm doing.
Awesome! I played killer for a long time, but switched to survivor this past year. I also play with my wife after she got into the game and just find it fun to survive together and work as a team.
I did enjoy killer for a long time, but I just wanted to be good at survivor as I was constantly facing red ranks and it presented a different challenge then what I was used to.

Yeah lower ranks a lot of killers just tunnel. Sux. Try get a few friends to swf with.
Have you played killer yourself? Good way to get blood points and see game from different angle.
-
If they teabagging and flashlight spamming then you can see them. If you can see em, you can kill em.
Also you know they are not on Gennys . If you cant catch them go check on your gennys and find that weak link.
-
Yeah it can be pretty frustrating. I play both sides and as killer I get robbed of my grabs all the time.
I start animation and it just stops and survivor gets to run away. Not even a hit registered.
Needs to be fixed.
