  • It sounds like XBox has been having a lot of troubles lately. No update for a while, no chapter in the store, no achievements? What's next for you guys?

  • Because they went and bugged all the new achievements from the looks of the bug report section

Why bug something in game when you can bug some trophies?

  • It's all luck, I got BBQ in the first few bloodwebs on her, but now I'm Level 43 and can't get bbq at all.

It does suck though that you can't seem to find it.

  • She's supposed to be 115% but I know exactly what you mean. She feels extremely slow.

  • I totally agree with you, but I'll never understand why people say "no one asked for this as an argument." Like do people actually think the developers of a game are going to ask permission from the community to make changes or is it just to make people feel better and like they have some control over the game?

  • Mathieu Cote said in an interview where they asked about the voicelines that he couldn't say much but what he could say is that the devs miss them too. To me, and I'm sure others, that implies the voicelines leaving was out of their control and they aren't allowed to bring them back.

  • No she is not by any means a weak killer. It's like I thought with the ptb, less than 24 hours after the release and only a couple hours of gameplay is not a good measurement of how good a killer is. Especially when they did change things about her. I honestly think she's strong and that's coming from a person who's lost every game as her. Why do I think this? There are many strong killers that I'm terrible at or take time to master. You're not going to get her in a day.

Shouldn’t Epic be included at the very least?? Or didn’t it come out there yet?

i was also confused about the Switch message, was already happy that i would get my Switch shards so I can get Jonah’s earphone head

I think Epic Store releases tomorrow? Is it possible the message came out a day early and maybe switch is meant to release at the same time as Epic Store crossprogression? I don't know, I just want answers from any dev or mod that would happily give some.

  • I've played a few matches as her, but all those matches are ending in 3-4 minutes it feels like. It's actually kind of insane imo.

Trickster would of gained popularity because of the archives that were released about him 🤷🏻‍♂️

Trickster has been #1/2 most faced killer for me since release, he's never gone below that. With my data I have honestly been shocked by how few Trickster's others have seen, but obviously my data isn't everyone's experience.

  • @MandyTalk do you know anything?

  • The brown ones are under body only because they don't have a head or weapon tied to them, so she does have more.

  • Please fix this

I feel sad that your most played maps coincide to be the worst ones in the game.

Honestly the only ones I really don't like playing on among those are Haddonfield and Ormond. I actually really enjoy The Game map because of how huge of a SAW fan I am (literally bought the game because of that chapter, it was the deciding factor) and I feel like I'm pretty solid on Midwich so I don't mind it either.

    Random thoughts

    • Interesting to see Legion and Ghostface so high in the pick rates given how low both of those characters end up in posted tier lists. (Not that I dislike either of them personally, but it seems like people who do dislike them really think they’re terrible.)
    • Does your kill rate include your own killer matches, or is it just what opponents got against you? Those numbers could be heavily skewed depending on how good or bad you personally are with or against particular killers.

I guess I should clarify that in my post, kill rates are my own personal kill rates. They do not include any killers I go against.

  • I'm biased because I love the colors blue lmao

  • Knowing this game, I would not be shocked if the new chase music bugged and at least someone heard it. Everything seems to break on a daily basis.

  • GIMME MY ARTEEST and Jonah, Jonah's good to.

  • Ferryman Blight, I don't play a lot of Blight, but I don't regret buying it and I only ever take it off around Halloween when I put all my blighted skins on the characters I have them for, then right back on it goes once it's November 1st.

I agree. It can be a good patch in theory but we can't test it, so we don't know if it's truly good.

For example a lot of people want the speed boost on nemesis's contamination removed, apparently they've said they tested this at one point and said it was overpowered/not fun.

They also called Wraith overpowered after his speed increase and then nerfed him. He was nowhere close to overpowered. I wouldn't trust the developers on what is "overpowered."

  • I honestly think this is the slowest I've ever completed the rift. I'm still at tier 50-something.

  • I wish this patch was real, it's so sad that it isn't.

  • I honestly didn't realize how many I had until I looked to answer this poll. I have Chatterer (wish I knew nfts were happening before buying), Chris Redfield, Jonathan Byers, Lisa Garland, and Look-See

Edit: If you count Ultra Rares as Legendary because they used to be, I also own Minotaur, Krampus, and Ferryman.

  • They've said they're only going to use the kill switch on something that is bugged in a way that's abusable or something that physically crashes the game.

It sucks but that means none of those things will be kill switched. Also I'd say we should forget about Ghost Face's reveal. If he hasn't been fixed yet, he probably won't until he's reworked.

  • The thing about Boon: Exponential is people greatly overestimate it's power. Killers will often talk about how it completely counters slugging and that can be a used tactic to keep up pressure. The issue is people are assuming they got downed in range of their boon and you have a reason to keep them slugged and not just pick them up. This boon really is the definition of a swf used perk. You will never get it to work if you're solo queue or just a duo. Actually maybe you will as a duo, but still not a ton.

Another thing is, based on what I've already said, if you're facing a swf competent enough that they can pull this perk off, you probably weren't going to do well anyways.

So personally, I'm not going to change my build. I don't play enough swf when playing survivor to pull it off.

Why does a different logic apply to Boons?

Because they think boons being ranged makes up for it, it really doesn't since survivors will run to their boon and then be fine in 3 seconds and go back to objectives.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

To be fair, if killer was the dominate role, the opposite would be true. It makes more sense to just have one player be the jester, rather than four.

But then why should either side be the jester? Why can't they just balance the game so it doesn't feel like you can only have fun or have a shot playing one side?

  • 58 hours on steam

~3,745 hours on switch (switch isn't exact and I think that's dumb)

I'd say on both it's fairly even between killer and survivor

  • Yeah the diameter is 48 meters, you're not saying anything different than a 24 meter radius. They mean the exact same thing since the diameter is double the radius.

  • You're running into people using Left Behind? Since when do people run Left Behind?

  • I haven't played much today but when I play killer, all I play is Demo right now. I obviously know the dlc is staying for those who purchased it, alongside the cosmetics and original perk icons, but I still feel like I miss Demo and the other Stranger Things characters. Playing them now doesn't feel the same.

  • I would like map offerings to be kyf (for live servers) and ptb only.

In kyf I don't think it matters and I'd want them in regular bloodwebs in the ptb just so you can go to whatever the new map is, but maybe just the one for that map/realm.

  • I never think any perk or character should ever be removed from the game because it's too strong or weak or annoying. It just needs to be changed to something that doesn't make the game miserable and feel completely 1 sided (even if it is completely one sided, although I don't think dbd is as one sided as people like to say it is).

  • Short answer? No.

They've never shown a character's face in the archives and release them as a character later. Even Blight, we didn't actually see BLIGHT'S face, we saw Talbot's right before he became Blight. I guess there could be a first time for everything, but unlikely.

  • While actually playing the game, I listen to the game audio so I'm not handicapping myself as some others have said.

While waiting for a lobby, I'll listen to just about any music. It really just depends on my mood.

Depends. If they have the chance to get something as big as that they probably will even if it is exclusive. I don't think people will care about that anyways. Last of Us is a PlayStation thing so many won't have a connection outside of the PlayStation people.

The only problem with that statement is it implies that if you have a PlayStation you're playing dbd on it. I know Switch, XBox, and Steam players who have a PlayStation and would love a Last of Us chapter, but they don't play on Playstation and would be really mad if the devs got a license that was exclusive.

Plus, I don't think they'd work with a license holder that wanted their content exclusive to a platform. They would work something out.

Edit: Actually, another reason I know your wrong about people not caring just because they haven't played it, I can tell from personal experience. I have absolutely no connection to Left 4 Dead, Silent Hill, Hellraiser, and Evil Dead, however I was still really excited to see those licenses in the game and couldn't wait to play the characters. (Although Hellraiser I wish I knew what they were gonna do with the license prior to buying it)

  • Except Bill when he was exclusive the game was only on steam and then they worked it out for him to be on all platforms. Something tells me, based on that information, they won't ever be doing "platform exclusive" dlc again.

  • The only console so far "confirmed" to be getting it is switch and they have no eta anymore for it, what hope does anyone really still have for xbox and playstation to be getting it? I'm not trying to be rude, but honestly I wouldn't get your hopes up.

  • Why not reduce everything by 2000 bp and take away perk tiers? Seriously, later this month, when A Portrait of a Murder releases, there will officially be over 100 survivor perks and 90 killer perks. Now triple that and that's how many perks you need to get to get all Tier 3 perks on a specific killer or survivor. That's way too [bad word] much. Up until Level 40, you can only get 1 perk per bloodweb maximum and start with 3 tier 1 perks already unlocked. So by the time you reach Level 40, you still need to get 261 survivor perks and 228 killer perks. By the time you reach level 50, you still need to get 241 survivor perks and 208 killer perks. (If I did my math right.) This is also assuming you got all the perks you could.

Back in 2016? (This assumes I did my research correctly and found out exactly which perks were in the game by the end of 2016)

With tiers, there were 105 survivor perks (just over how many perks without tiers there are now) and 90 killer perks (exactly how many killer perks there are now without tiers). I don't know how different the bloodwebs were in 2016 so someone who was there, I'd love to know how many perks were in the bloodweb at the time and what you were required to take. For this example we're going to use today's bloodwebs to figure out grind. By Level 40, you would still need 63 survivor perks (45 w/o entity and same amount of perks spawn as now) and 51 killer perks (33 w/o entity and same amount of perks spawn as now). By Level 50, 43 survivor perks (15 w/o entity and same amount of perks spawn as now) and 31 killer perks (3 w/o entity and same amount of perks spawn as now).

The grind has honestly gotten out of hand and perks are what people want. Which years grind would you want? 2016 or 2021?

  • I don't want them to get rid of rifts. Literally the rifts/tomes are the only thing keeping me playing dbd because I enjoy having something to work for. Since getting better feels penalized and it doesn't matter if I reach Iri 1, I'll just be reset. I guess there's also me working on getting everyone to Prestige 3 Level 50, but at the same time, I can accomplish it for a short time and then some new characters release and I need to do it again. The rifts/tomes are the only thing that once you've completed it, you've completed that rift. At least it feels more accomplishing because, even if the base stuff is the same, every tome and rift is different. New cosmetics, new kinds of charms, new (master) challenges.

  • I wouldn't mind if Monstrous Shrine stayed as is with an extra benefit if they changed it to a Scourge Hook and not stay specifically in the basement. It's an interesting idea, however it's not always reliable because all 4 hooks that have the effect are on top of each other and not always in a good spot.

It's still $10 I HAVE to spend on 1. $5 is only 500 cells and they 600. Still basically $10 that I have to spend.

I don't understand why you're talking about auric cells when you can just buy the dlc for actually less than $5. I'm not sure what platform you're on, but if you're on steam you can put $5 directly on your account and use that. If you're spending more than $5 on a dlc that's $4.79 and they don't charge tax, you're doing something wrong. Especially since you can put a minimum of $5 on your account.

  • @Rey_512 said:

Dude, it’s like $10. If you can’t afford that, it frankly isn’t BHVR’s problem.

Besides, it’s a LICENSED chapter which means they aren’t allowed to give it out for free unless specifically allowed by Netflix per their agreement (spoiler alert, they won’t).

And it's not even $10 right now, it's $5 because of the sale until they leave.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/293709/dont-worry-switch-players-youll-get-crossprogression

I think it's a problem with Nintendo. Not BHVR. Nintendo has VERY strict rules about updates and content. it's insane. Read into it, it's quiete funny

You would think though if they already announced Switch crossprogression that they would have already had the necessary permission they needed from Nintendo.

  • I hope they don't touch Artist. It's also not a good idea for them to make a decision about balancing from people who've only tested something for not even 6 hours yet and that's only if you somehow managed to start your first ptb match when the ptb dropped immediately. People haven't had proper time to figure out counters and really gauge how the killer truly is. (Also the ptb is probably the worst thing to actually make game changing decisions on unless it's a glaring issue with something and I don't think Artist has all that many issues)

  • The boon is basically just a fast Unbreakable. It's fine as is. Not like you'll be able to use it unless someone big time distracts the killer.

Birds of Torment probably won't be nerfed right away if at all. People need to stop complaining about things they've barely had any time to learn how to counter. (Seriously, PTB has been out for less than half a day)

Grim Embrace takes time to activate and only works once, strong when actually active? Yeah, but it hasn't been too threatening in the games I've played against it.

Hex: Pentimento... ok yeah you're probably right. That'll be nerfed. Then again, it's a hex, so maybe not.

Also, you're calling BHVR predictable for doing something they haven't done yet or even announced are changing.

  • Have I been getting tunneled for bringing a key these days? No because I don't bring keys

Have I tunneled people for bringing keys into the match these days? No because that's dumb. With how far they nerfed keys, at this point I say it's fair play if you can outmaneuver enough to get that far into the match anyways.
