This is just an excuse usually coming from hardcore killer mains who wants solo to stay weak.

    I'm a rank 1 solo survivor...

i'm 19 thank you and the only reason i reply to the other person is because he is 10 years old and think he can insults other community

In no way did he insult other communities but rather be honest about them. Even the Dead by Daylight community is one heck of a rollercoaster, but what EdnerLogan said was completely true.

Additionally, the only of these three that would fit at all is fnaf, maybe Springtrap or any of the nightmare animatronics. Problem is there are no survivors that have confirmed looks in this game (from what I'm aware of).

Undertale wouldn't fit due to it's childish nature and no killer or survivor for it (Frisk doesn't have a confirmed age and no character fits the theme of creepy)

BATIM has one confirmed survivor look and one killer, which could work I suppose, but what they'd use as the map us beyond me as there are no evident and memorable moments of a certain maps/floors/rooms in that game.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Probably because they didn't really fix the biggest problem people had with her -- her power is a guessing game from the survivor's side with no real interaction.

In all honesty she is easily dukable. Stop running but walk in a certain direction and it now becomes a guessing game for the killer (assuming you're not injured).

  • Personally the only time I'll ever get mildly frustrated is when I make a mistake myself, which I try to learn off rather then getting salty over it.

Additionally rather than getting angry because I can't kill one or two good survivors, I keep on telling myself "Damn these are good they deserve to escape."

  • Removing hatch stand offs decreasing the time spent in a single game.

    Nothing more to say.

I am seeing a lot of discussions on the forum revolving around deathslinger and I am honestly surpised how mixed the opinions are on him, there is people saying he is in the bottom 5 of the killer tier list and others saying he is completely busted and has no counterplay.

The way I see it, he is a decent killer, not really bad, but not the one I would use every match at rank one, he can sometimes be frustrating to play as and against due to the miniscule and unpredictable hitbox of his harpoon.

What are your opinions on him? Too strong? Too weak? Balanced?

Why do you think that way about him?

As you said. Its like The Huntress, if they're amazing they'll hit you, but you can do so many things to delay them in the chase.

  • Although it sounds good, this would cause lobby dodging if it was in the lobby, and although in game it could work, I feel like it would promote unhealthy playstyles more often then they currently occur.

  • For me he's not a hard match. Alot of 1k and 2k Deathslingers.

I am very aware what you meant so that explanation was unnecessary. But the qustion is why do we exactly care about rank points ? Do you get extra bonus for being high level ? No ! Do you get matches with similar rank all the time ? No ! Do you want actually to be at red rank to play against the best survivors as a killer ? Hell no ! For me this is like a win win situation. You camp you get your BPs you came for and yet you don't pip which keeps you where you want actually. Personally I keep my killer at low ranks and it feels great because I can do all the challenges without any effort.

And imagine saying DBD has nothing to do with fun. Then why do you exactly play this game ? I really want to hear your reasoning behinde that .... /a streamer is the only thing that would make sense but I really doubt you are one/ ? But I still want to hear what other reason beyond fun you can have to play a game / that is not competitive /. People are really strange here...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1165421#Comment_1165421

Are you having fun when being camped on a hook for the entire duration ? Yes or no ? If it's a yes I'll need explanation what exactly gives you the joy. If no then your post is entirely redundant

No one enjoys being camped on hook, but all you have to do is spend two minutes and then hop into another game. Simple as that.

I dont agree tbh, not to mention the walls you HAVE to break in the main building

Besides the main building and the killer shack, most of the loops are weak, either having a small vehicle and a wall that neither side can get past or two tall objects that are short in width.

  • Majority of the loops are killer sided to compensate. Personally the map is a better one for killers than survivors but can definitely be won by survivors if they play right.

Tried survivor again after a few weeks of only killer and its actually horrible i tried a meme build and just got tunneling freddys and spirirts, alot of eboneys, noed and rank 20 teammates. Guess i need to git gud

My R1 survivor has been grand at the moment. Alot of people trying to learn Deathslinger, and suprisingly alot of Legions.

1/ He lose bullshit. Don't make me make you a video with killer ending with 30k points after camping a person for the full duration of his hook

2/ I don't want camping killers to decide my perks. I paid for this game and I want to play what I want . Who are you to tell me what I want to play ? Exactly you are nobody

    3/ Look at 2

4/Good SFW will be able to do that. 4 Solo will do nothing because they don't have coordination. They are not supposed to. Also as the that person said that is just so boring. Do you know what boring means ?

Please don't tell random people how to have fun in the game and say things like "understand the game" when you clearly don't understand the core of gaming which is having fun. That is your problem if you are okay to play like this not his

Well if you don't understand the games core mechanics, aswell as that camping is a viable tactic, then the way he phrased it was fine.

Also the killer will only get +30k points by camping if the team is over altruistic.

  • I'm a Diamond Zarya, Orisa and Roadhog. Not great with healers and dps though...

Sorry you feel that way. I love playing Killer. I also love playing Survivor. I flip flop between the two pretty regularly and have enjoyed both equally.

I am killer rank 1 and with the correct perks like stbfl or M&A, if it pays, it is a matter of previous experience, I come from shooters like rainbow six overwatch and CS: GO, I have a very good aim, so maybe it is one of the reasons why which I play well the Deathslinger

I feel more comfortable than huntress

My silver hanzo goes really well with this killer

  • Personally no. First of all this badly effects survivors, and although I play killer, we can't go tilting a game completely.

Second of all maps are a often a bigger problem then the killer, mainly on maps such as The Game and any of the Coldwind Farm maps.

Finally this would make it harder to transition between killers, especially that I don't main a single killer, but rather seven or eight different killers at a given time.

  • It doesn't only work but is also a really good combo as it increases it's range of use.

  • I conducted a research and got 47 survivors out of 100 in red rank...

That's true, but if you happen to be in a chase... I guess it could be really good. :)

Well anything is better than the old version I guess, and I can imagine how fun this would be to use if it came into effect.

  • Anything that reduces the grind helps.

  • Although I'm not Peanits, and far from Peanits, personally this would be an improvement but it would definitely be situational. If you're not in a chase it's useless.

  • Rank 1 solo here

    1. I never see this at rank one. They may do it on second hook, but never on first hook.

    2. This happens occasionally. Usually with BT though, although I rarely approve of it.

    3. Most survivors hit great skill checks.

    4. Isn't this point 2???

    5. Most red rank killers don't run Noed, and if they do we clean when its active.

    6. They only leave if killer is on them.

  • With Myers 99% your tier II up until you're right behind a survivor then tier III.

With Ghostface stalk them to 99% if you want to leave the chase and pressure gens. If they heal up it stays.

With Legion try and fake pallet drops in or outside of your power. If you're not using your power then activate it instantly and jump over the pallet. Also if a survivor tries to go the a pallet or window who you've already hit, try and run in front of it and body block them.

  • @Peanits said:

I usually feel that way about Head On or Any Means Necessary. I got so used to having Head On at one point that I ended up planning my chases around it, and then whenever I wasn't using it I would realize I just put myself in a terrible position and I'm now going to get hit because I forgot that I'm not using it.

And a single tear runs down my cheek whenever I'm not using Any Means Necessary and I see a good pallet just sitting there.

For killer, it's probably Deerstalker. I take it for granted when I'm using it, but the second I take it off I miss having it.

I feel the exact same way with iron will. I go to try and do a scratch mark duke and as soon as I do it I recognise my character is grunting in pain.

  • Yes you can by EAC, although it is rare if you do it right. Just be aware that there is always the chance, and you are taking that risk when you do it.

  • Unless I'm doing an end game build, or Im trying to get a 4k for quests, I very rarely use Noed. I simply don't see the use in a perk that if survivors play well and don't only focus on gens then the perk will be invalid, and if the gates are spread apart by alot, the perk usually becomes useless.

Additionally like you said some killers just don't need it. Anyone who can instant down or can be on survivors often don't need it.

  • I'm yet to have any issues

  • I believe the devs stated they wont be publicly releasing stats anymore unless they make a change to something to justify its reasoning (such as ruin had an 80% use rate in red ranks).

  • Unless the BP was alot, I doubt it would be effective in stopping this, and it is a tactic. Run unbreakable if you're that worried.

Lol I played Huntress lastnight and hooked a survivor and stood there for a sec, stared and nodded, and finally walked off and the chat was like someone was shooting a flamethrower at me until it went empty. People need to chill in this game lmfao. I wasn't even camping, I only stood for like 3 seconds, nodded, and left.

I had something similar to this happen to me with The Huntress.

They 4 gen'd themselves and I hooked a guy in the middle of all 4 gens. Was called a camper because I was patrolling my last four gens.

around the same time they nerf keys i hope.

    This.

They can't nerf Moris without needing keys. They both need balancing.

  • The confusing thing is I have TWO pro pain hammers. I might have stolen yours by accident in a trial or something.

  • I'd love to see this especially that I'm trying to get all perks on my Billy.

  • Yet she didn't drop a single pallet...I call hacks.

  • The Plague should come alot more powerful, only for a few months though, as the virus wont last forever.

  • Dark the devotion can be great, but because it relies on your obsession being near another survivor causing it to be very situational, I don't use it.

I'm all ears only has one use to me and that's if someone runs Q&Q. If they don't then usually they're easy to track.

PWYF isn't underrated IMO and is great on so many killers that can gain tokens easily such as Wraith.

  • I'd love this especially that I'm a console player. I've had a few ideas for customizations but obviously cant implement them.

Swf is thought to be a well-oiled machine.....but how about when it's not.

    "Follow me"

    "This is a dead end"

    "Not that way"

    "You're over here too"

Killer was standing in the wedge and only means of escape. Half of us died.

"We're going to this gen on the right after we heal"

    "Your right?"

    "Where I'm looking"

    "I don't know where you're looking"

Character spazzes out before messing up a skillcheck.

Oh then there was this game last night where they tried playing blind while sitting on the can. I looped the killer for 5 gens and this guy was taking a dump with crows circling him and almost made it out the exit gates as well while being guided by another friend. Thank goodness karma hit him while he was teabagging and ran straight into a wall.

This is what many people call unsincronised. You all simply need to describe everything more. Don't be saying things that aren't descriptive.

For example, change "The Killer is on me." to "The Killer is on me in/at the _________."

  • When you said Webber I started thinking if Dokapon kingdom, wrong webber though.

  • That's why you need to decide whether you should shoot or save it for a different part of the loop.

Its frustrating, I know, but only use it if you know that if you hit the survivor, you'll hit them.

I just got called every name under the rainbow by 4 survs for doing this

    I was a 3perked doctor... ;w;

I feel you. I was playing Huntress the other day and I was called a camper for protecting my last gens after they 3 gen'd themselves...

  • @Vampire said:

Don't get salty if the killer stays by the last hooked person/downed person when gens are down and gate is 99/open

cause at that point its common sense to just...not move and let you all get a free unhook/escape

    I dont get it

I play surv too and I dont get salty in that situation, sucks to be hooked but I don't expect a free unhook

Exactly. As someone who plays both sides, the killers motive is a 1k is better then nothing, and if they risk it, they'll suffer.

Odds of 4x No mither is very very low, and as I stated, everyone is already one hit down if that does happen.

Unless it's a player meming, no mither is used by good or great players. They'll have dead hard, which can extend a loop for a lot longer or neglect and attack, infinites and ofcourse, their team.

Neglecting a killers power by using a perk is bad enough on The Doc. Same with The Spirit (Iron will can destroy her).

You can't say how he's weaker than the Huntress and neglect how he's stronger without coming across as biased. He only has one shot, but he can reload at much quicker rate and with far more ease than the Huntress. His range is smaller, but he doesn't have an audio cue for survivors to use to dodge so they have to choose between keeping an eye on the Deathslinger or not running into stuff. He has a more difficult time downing survivors over obstacles, but he doesn't have an immutable humming type audio so he can sneak up on survivors with ease especially since his terror radius audio is far more silent than the standard TR audio. He actually has something of a scope to aim with while Huntress has to use guessing or experience. His aiming is far quicker than the Huntress' windup. He's actually a deal stronger than the Huntress.

He is though. The main reason is this. BOTH can counter windows. Huntress however can land hits in a quicker succession and can ignore the main thing to survivors. Pallets.

Yes The Deathslinger can reload on the spot while The Huntress needs to go to a locker, however is aiming is easily dukable no matter how quick the aiming is (I'd say I'm hit once every 6-7 shots in open land).

The smaller TR doesnt mean alot to a good Huntress. It's like The Nurse. She has a 32 meter TR but she puts it to good use. Survivors can try to run but in the end its hard too.

Personally, I think for the sole fact that you can completely neglect pallets and can sometimes get a two hits in four seconds, aswell as an infinite range if you have the skill, The Huntress is better.

  • Also run discordance and make sure they stay away from each other just so they don't infect someone else.
