Yes,I am aware it is a Steam issue but when you partner with someone you are also partially responsible for their actions. My company works with various towing companies and if they mess up our customers take it out on us because we CHOSE them.

If the afternoon and evening streamers are unable to play Deathslinger it will look absolutely horrendous on top of the already buggy game DBD is.

They'll most likely sort it out at them.

No matter how much faith I lose in people, I'll still trust them.

The new meta now is uninstall the game, and never come back unless they do something about it :)

But seriously, i think i'm gonna leave for a while to see how things turn out

You definitely won't be the only one.

I'm considering giving up killer for now, try to get my survivor back to rank one.

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Slugging is already the meta, I dont know what you are talking about.

Not exactly, I've seen killers (including myself) play completely without any slugging perks, but now, I'm not sure.

  • Note I understand the hangmans nerf, but I believe it was a bit over the top.

  • @Biggs said:

sure survivors with these dumb changes will have even more fun.. for killers yeah even more killers will stop playing thats for sure... :)

    This

Hillbilly and Nurse are about to come much more annoying to play.

The aura was too powerful honestly, I can understand why they reduced it. It was meant to see if someone was nearby to prevent sabotages or whatever. But seeing someone going for a sabotage and having nothing to prevent that is dumb. The auto-repair was a direct counter to that. That's what the perk was created for, and they killed it.

And yeah there'll definitely be lots of slugging in the days and weeks to come, with every toxic survivor around bringing their toolboxes and saboteur builds.

But hey at least now we can run Hangman's Trick to see their auras as they swarm to the hooks! How nice.

Exactly. They buff sabo, then change the one perk that could counter it to be good, but not as good, and now they've made the perk arguably the second worst killer perk.

  • @Boosted_Dwight said:

I knew this was gonna happen. No changes at all. That's what I get for being excited for this. Oh well.

You know the devs are wrong when even a trusted doesn't approve.

  • @Raven9 said:

Read the title, that's all I will say.

    They're nerfing killers first.

I'd say after the main problem, a few years?

  • They reduce the aura too.

Can't wait for swf to abuse this perk.

Might aswell go back to my Wraith or Plague slugging build.

Oblivious doesn't remove the red stain tho. If you were talking about Oblivious...

Does it not? If so then you're right, what is the point of oblivious.

I still think music should play, but get rid of the red stain in that case...

It doesn't block auras though, you clearly havent used OOO very much if havent used against a freddy even once.

Oh I'm thinking of undetectable (I'm dumb af dont worry).

I still do think it does enough, mainly due to the removal of the red stain, and certain perks (such as Nemesis) can use it to great advantage as if they break a pallet, they'll usually be outside of the chase after, allowing for a surprise.

  • The problem with DS is that although it can be an anti tunnel perk, it usually isn't. There are many situations where it is abused or you get unlucky.

Let's say you're running make your choice, so you have reason to go back to the hook, but no one is there. You search for a bit and see the unhooked survivor. Is it tunnelling? No but ds activates.

Now let's say you're just patrolling gens, and you see a recently unhooked survivor on it. That's not tunnelling either but ds activates.

I believe if ds thoroughly needs to be anti tunnel you can't perform any action besides healing and the killer needs to be within 40 meters upon the hooked player being saved.

  • If I'm killer I play a wraith slugging build.

If I'm survivor I go full try hard with ds, bt, dh and unbreakable or adrenaline, but only if I'm having a bad day will I do this.

She's no different on console, she's just hard in general (I'm also tryna play her but Deathslinger may impede that lol)

I forgot deathslinger was coming out...might but a dent in my plans.

  • The main reason I believe is the red stain removal, and killers such as Demogorgon and Ghostface don't need to start a chase.

Personally I think it's fine, as it blocks auras too (which I hate as I use OoO as survivor).

It comes in handy alot as killer too, so a buff or nerf isn't required.

  • Or you can learn Hillbilly, or as I am trying to learn, The Nurse!

And don't use the excuse that you play on console because I find her fine on Xbox.

First of all, the perk activates when you're away from a pallet. (Did you even read this?)

Second of all, scratched mirror Meyers, bitter murmur, etc. there are many other perks that aura reading could be affected by.

I believe I got confused, so reading this now I believe you meant was once your 20 meters away from your closest pallet. I thought you meant any pallet.

The perk is balanced if it's like that.

  • I think it's a weaker variation of bond. I'd rather use bond than Better together.

  • No, just no. Denying the killer most tracking when you're close to a pallet is a bit strong.

The killer won't need to see your aura unless their using I'm all ears (which is rarely used).

If this was only blood, and maybe reducing the grunts of pain by 50%, I'd say this is a good perk, but scratch marks with blood? No.

Yes it may not be string in high ranks, but mid and low ranks this perk would be oh so strong.

  • I definitely think we need some rewards for rank resets, I'd like either this or alot of BP.

  • @BigBubs said:

DS doesn't bother me, but hey what do I know, I'm not a crybaby killer main.

Honestly with how the developers are treating their game, our voices deserve to be heard.

  • I believe that would be even worst, as that's one of the few counters the perk has.

  • My proposed change is either if the killer hooks another survivor or if you work on a generator. One of the two and not both.

  • @Nivek said:

Keys you have to work to be able to use. Moris you do not. There's no comparison between the two.

Not really. With a key you need to be able to find the hatch, which the killer may have already closed, so you just go and open. With a mori, you need to win two chases.

The main point is, both complete the goal of the team early. For the killer it's to kill survivors and for the survivors it's to escape. Both should be nerfed in some way, but not in a way in which they become useless.

  • I know I'm probably on the wrong side of the road at the moment, and I'm stuck in between both, but besides dedicated servers and a few balancing tweaks (which I believe are run by separate teams) I feel like the game is much better than many state it is.

how does everyone feel about the rift?

personally I hate the amount of time required too complete it, for a game that has only two modes (survivor and killer) it is insane too ask 150+ hours of in game time in just a little over two months.

to complete the rift your essentially forced to grind the game non stop:/ and it just gets so boring for me.

coming from a guy who is devotion 7 with every single character and perk unlocked, I finally feel burnt out by this game and will most likely only get on for new chapters to have some fun with the killer. Can’t see myself wanting to grind this game anymore

Don't then, it's your decision to grind over playing the game you want to.

Additionally I usually have a perk on in the background or make a meme build so I enjoy it.

If you feel like you need to grind and don't have fun playing the game, then you do you, do things that you find fun. Maybe it's not Dead by Daylight, but don't grind if you don't enjoy it.

  • @senki527 said:

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1144924#Comment_1144924

We use DS to counter bad killers.

DS is infamous because this game has a lot of bad killers.

I usually don't use it after my first or second match of the day. Although it does counter tunneling, it also rewards failing to loop and rewards unsafe unhooks.

I'm fine if the perk was actually used to counter tunneling, but it isn't tunneling if the unholy isn't safe, or if the killer hooks someone else, or many, many different things.

  • The only thing I don't like about survivors is that some of them use so many second chance perks, mainly decisive, borrowed and adrenaline.

I do find alot more toxic survivors then killers at high ranks, but that may be the 4/1 ratio, and because I use OoO ( I'm a solo) I get alot of salty killer messages).

"loads" yeah ok please share with decent evidence vs good people that arent rank 10

Ok lets use me as an example, rank one survivor and rank five doctor.

The best way to play against the doctor is to drop pallets early, to run left or right when you see him charging his power OR jump a window/drop a pallet, to run calm spirit if you're so worried about him, to run and not stay at a pallet or window if you're shocked, run dead hard, go in lockers if you're outside of a chase and hear him, try and time when he uses his main shock in your head (once a minutes up play cautious again) and to do gens if you're not in a chase.

I gave you a full paragraph of what you can do against The Doctor. He is completely balanced.

  • @Hsizzle said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1144187#Comment_1144187

clearly you dont read. against a doc with good shock timings u cant drop it early. on relatively short loops 1 moonwalk after doing that gets you hit. youre wrong and a sheep

Well then you should try to predict these things. He has loads if counter play and he's only an average killer.

  • Absolutely not. It was their choice to do that. They had nerves of steel to do that incase you'd come back, they got cocky and you punished them.

  • Keys and Mori's

Both need changes. Both complete an objective earlier then they should be able to.

  • @XRuecian said:

I definitely think they should find a way to punish camping at least. Tunneling is annoying, but not nearly as toxic feeling as camping.

Perhaps they could just make the survivor take even longer to die on the hook if you just stand around them, that way you have to give up even more generators if you camp.

Camping hurts low ranked players a lot. One of if not the biggest mistake i see lower ranked survivors make, is that when one person is hooked, ALL THREE other survivors try to come to the rescue, even ones on the other side of the map. This is the worst thing you can do as a survivor, and the best way to reward a camping killer. If someone gets hooked, and you are on a generator on the other side of the map, just finish the generator; regardless if the killer is a camper or not. The camping killers will quickly realize that if he camps, he will lose all the gens. If all three survivors come to save one person, the killer has successfully 'delayed' all 4 players from progressing. But if only one person goes for the save, the killer has only delayed two players. If you really notice a killer is camping a hooked player, don't even rescue them at all. I know it sucks for the one player on the hook. But the best thing you can do is punish the killer and just pop all the gens while he wastes time. Trying to go for a save against a camper will just get the unhooked player tunneled on and basically do nothing for your team at all.

    This

Only if they aren't in a chase though.

  • Rank one Hillbilly here! It all depends on the map. Some maps you'll do great on and some you'll ######### up completely on.

  • It’s horrible against swf but great against solos.

  • Yes it is actually acceptable. The killer may play in any way they want and if you don’t accept it and dc then you’re putting your team at a disadvantage. Additionally, the game is currently balanced in the survivors favour so I’m assuming you’re of the lower ranks. Currently the game hasn’t kicked me out once since dedicated servers so it’s most likely due to your poor latency.

  • @bilaueta said:

Im not here to discuss wether or not heys are broken or whatnot, Im here to say that killers should be able to at least see the key in a survivor's hand during the lobby.

The easy solution is to just make them brighter, maybe make them of clean silver or even gold. This way most killers can get a heads up on a possible early hatch and prepare acordingly. Right now you are never sure if they a are holding a key or not since it looks the same color as the background in both the lobies and most in-game mapes

Knowing the developers, they’ll decide to make it invisible and always have the hatch spawn within 4 meters of a survivor with a key.

So this is a thing that I thought we should have had since the DLC first came out, it's another level to the Hawkins lab, I more so mean the one that they showed in the CG trailer with the demogorgon, Nancy and Steve, in the camera, I don't know I just thought it would be something super cool to have because the Hawkins lab is already an awesome map it would just be cool to have more of it especially another level, would any of you want another? Because I think the devs could do it and wouldn't be opposed to it. Thank you for reading

They should instead work on the upstairs of the map. The upstairs is a death trap unless you have lithe or balanced landing.

does bringing good items and a 100% BP offering, only to be downed and face camped whilst being impossible to be save due to ######### mechanics sound fair to you?

    get off this forum

Yes it does actually. 60 seconds for your team to work on gens plus even more time while you struggle. You lose but your team wins. Additionally, you lost the chase. You risked your item and offering. They don’t always pay off.

If I have a ######### game against four rank 1 swf group or a rank 1 killer I don’t go and complain in the forum. I suck it up and deal with it. Camping is a play style which is completely acceptable. Regardless of how it’s done.

  • Someone reported me and got his 3 friends to report me after 'slugging' them. What they actually did was bombarded the hooks trying to be altruistic against a Hillbilly.

I would show a video but I'd need to drop out the names.

  • @Codela said:

You bring key, I bring mori.

    It's just that easy.

Also, "balanced" in this game is considered as 2 survs surviving and 2 survs getting sacrificed. So, while you might find it frustrating that - apart from everything you wrote about keys - one surv could escape through the hatch, it's actually healthy to the balance of the game. Not taking into account keys of course. So, in this regard, having one last survivor escaping through the hatch while you've sacrificed or mori'ed the other 3 could be considered as perfectly fine maybe even unbalanced.

This is why both need a rework. They are unhealthy for both sides in the game.

Keys should have a long timer (20 seconds maybe) and moris should only work if you hook every survivor atleast once.

  • @MyNamePete said:

i dont get how this is a “funny comment though?”

I mean if you used dance with me to escape the killer into escaping the trial, then you really did win because of dance with me.

Dance with me helped the victory, but very few perks can change the fate of a game completely.

  • Many red rank killers feel like it's to much stress staying in red rank and have quit or switched to survivor. I play red rank with a few killers, although in all honesty it can often be a grind.

  • I’m a Hillbilly main who uses Endruing, Ruin, BBQ and Chili and Whispers.

Had a survivor get angry at me for using an OP killer with crutch perks.

He was a P3 Claud with DS, BT, DH and Urban.
