how did it happen?
They just woke up, opened dbd and noticed that everything has been reset for no reason.

Good question! Nurse is forced to look at the ground when she's on fatigue. The wider FOV from Shadowborn lets you better see scratchmarks, survivors' feet, etc. while on fatigue, which can help you track them during a chase.
I thought of that, but if that's the case, then why it doesn't see any play to other killers with fatigue (legion, deathslinger, ect).

You have a problem with veggies?

I'll take a look at it but I don't really mess with the settings, haven't touched em in weeks and it just occurred.

I also like hag, and Michi. But she should get a small nerf because trapping the hook 9 times is boring for the survivors. I think both otz and michi suggested something about that (correct me if I'm wrong, at least)
When you hook someone, ALL traps that are within 8 meters of the hook get disabled, like when you burn them with a flashlight. It will kinda suck that the pallet that you've trapped at the start of the match will be loopable since the trap will be gone, but you can adjust the trap placement.
-
Doubt it. I believe that spirit will be changed instead. Stridor shouldn't be incredibly powerful either way. But this on legion of the twins is actually really useful
-

You know it's probably good that you're uninstalling if people playing with friends has upset you this gravely.
Oh my that's a burn

Easy answer: I was accoused of speedhacking. I think the killer was a billy, I don't remember. But I looped him for 3 gens (I was lucky and had good tiles close to each other and shack) and after he facecamped me, my team managed to save me and safely escape. Made my day.

It hasn't be confirmed, but I don't really think so. Too much detail and spookyness for it to exist irl, but you never know!

Legion is right in the middle of the pack in terms of kill efficiency, even among the best players. There's no way I can construe Legion as "weakest" given the data I have.
About that, will we have a data release just like last time in the near future? I'm super interested about em.
-
You can use filters if it affects you significantly. I personally have no need for them.
-
I'll be honest, I like the ultra rare that makes her undetectable. It's just me tho.
-
If you master the huntress, you will probably feel the same satisfaction when destroying swfs with a snap of a fing-hatchet.
I suggest her
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they said that they disabled it due to some problems with the Oni.

There's a guy in YouTube who makes DbD vids. He has 3 videos on semi AFK killers beating survivors. One thing I noticed is that the survivors were committing really terrible mistakes. They were
1. Herding around a seemingly AFK Oni without knowing whether or not he has his power
2. Opening the basement chest
3. Taunting a motionless Myers even though he makes a noise notification when he tiers up
4. And not exiting quick enough
As expected, the survivors were all very salty but it was obvious that it was mostly their mistake.
The guy is "DBD things" by the way
I knew someone would mention em :3
-
@CaulDrohn said:
Why didn't the streamer just ban them from the chat? Wouldn't that be the most obvious thing to do?
He enjoys hearing the salt. Also it's their opinion, can't ban someone for having an opinion.

So what you're saying is that the vocal minority that wants all of those perks to be nerfed have a temper tantrum when you don't run them? Gee it's almost as if they're a bunch of hypocrites that shouldn't be listened to
Impossible. I'm sure you misunderstood the forum Kappa
-
Generally, if a survivor doesn't escape, on their mind there are 4 excuses:
My team sucked
The killer got lucky
The killer camped/sugged/tunneled/used op perks/add-ons
Killer sided map gg devs fix your game
In this scenario, the survivor side belied theyre gods and thought that you just got lucky.
On the second scenario, the swf realised that both you and they are mortals, so even tho you lost they kept their sportsmanship. I do believe that even if they 4man escape, the swf would shitalk.
But that's simply my opinion on the matter.

It shouldn't be an offering at all..and thia game is suffering from unreliable numbers
It shouldn't be an offering, but this way they made it so it is fitting to be an offering.

@immortalls96 said:
No killer is nerf worthy in dbd..not if you truly have played the cheesiest things survivors can do..even after playing for 2+ years it still makes my skin crawl what survivors can do but nobody acknowledges..as for the mori changes...uninspired..I created a far better system that almost everyone liked upon hearing it..even mclean said it was neat..honestly I was hoping this was their goal
Just because survivors can abuse stuff it doesn't mean that killers can't. In order to make a balanced game, both sides need to be balanced. Just because one isn't, it doesn't mean that the other one is.
As for the mori changes, the majority of the community asked a 2nd hook mori addition, so they did. They don't need to have complex systems just for an offering, a good send-off to an already dead on hook survivor is fine in my book.

I actually like threads like this, that are basically small talk about some things regarding the game.
Usually this forum is full of complains, bias and toxicity, so I do appreciate when I see relaxing discussing threads.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/213478/these-things-should-be-changed-change-my-mind
I agree with mostly everything but the killer being more stressful, and the keys.
I used to agree that killer is far more stressful, but now I can't say I fully agree, there's to much variables.
If I stick to my main, and a build I like, than I feel far more relaxed/comfortable playing killer, now if I play another killer and different build, it depends. If u play killers that have such an easy time during chase like nurse/spirit/deathslinger, and ure good with them, than it's also going to be a really relaxing game.
Regarding keys, I don't mind much 4man escape through hatch, and I don't think that even with the nerf that's going to change (since there's an achievement with that). I do mind the other "more than 1, less than 4" escape through hatch, cause they completely negate the generators left to do.
I do believe that when we compare the anxiety a casual player gets when playing killer and then survivor, in the killer side it will be higher. I agree that playing your main is less stressful, but still it doesn't compare to the easy time survivors have.
As for the keys, I think that it's incredibly unfair when you play as killer, have perfect control over gens, 2 survivors left and....oh they....escaped through hatch. I believe it has happened to most of us, and it probably felt incredibly unfair to get a tie for doing great and doing things right, just because they have an item.
If only one survivor escapes in that situation, it's a different story isn't it? Cuz you probably get a 3k instead, which is a win.

For #1: Mori's did need a nerf. However, they should have waited on the Mori nerf until the key nerf was ready to go. It looks fairer that way. Also old Mori's kept key usage in check because there was a decent chance that bringing a key meant you'd face an ebony mori.
For #3: Honestly in my opinion Freddy should get more of a power shift than a flat nerf. He's got weaker versions of literally everything a Killer could possibly want. He's got mobility, he's got slow down, he's got anti looping, and he's got stealth. They need to concentrate his power into fewer, stronger effects.
For your first point I do agree in some level, tho I do understand why they made that change, because the community kept getting angrier and angrier about moris, so they didn't wanna risk more mori toxicity.
For the second I also agree. I just don't wanna be so bored that I fall asleep vs a freddy (got the pun? No? Maybe? Just a sure yes)
-
@noctis129 said:
This is a rant about killer nerfs.
U being bored of a killer doesn't justify a nerf to that killer.
Skill isn't required and doesn't justify a nerf to a perk. Otherwise many perks would just disappear becuz it doesn't require skill.
Mine as well play w no perks since skill is required to justify a perks existence.... According to ur logic.
It isn't a rant about killer nerfs only (you see, I knew someone would say that, so I justified everything, also you ignored the key changes)
Being bored of a killer is a bad thing, if many people are bored of the killer. In my opinion, Freddy is too easy to play, and mediocre to master, and since he has so much kill ratios (saw that in a poll that the devs released) in combination with boring gameplay makes the killer incredibly unfun to face, which will either way result in a nerf, as the devs have said.
Most to almost all perks need to be used in a skillful way to be affective, if they don't then they don't have a major effect (like this is not happening perhaps, or a better example is sloppy). The ruin undying combo is free value on whatever the survivor side does, you don't have to worry about anything to get value out of it, or adjust your strategy. Corrupt intervention also gives value, 100%, but if the killer doesn't use the time they buy with this perk effectively, the perk becomes semi-useless.
Many streamers and youtubers play perkless, and it works, because skill is the deciding factor, not offerings or perks. Take for example otz, one of the best dbd players (or so I call him), plays perkless and dominates, because he knows how to play and adjust his strategy, adapt perhaps, based on the problems he faces.

I feel like they're trying to say that if you've lost all five gens and all four of them are still alive, the key isn't really going to make a difference. You've basically already lost at that point. They could just as well leave through one of the exit gates. So the main problem with keys is not four people escaping through the hatch, it's one person making an escape they really shouldn't have made.
I understood what they said, but honestly even if it isn't a 4mwn escape, a 2man or a 3man isn't also unfair? Imagine you're doing good on killer, 2 gens left and 2 people escape through hatch, even though you had everything under control.

I'm sorry but...
I stopped reading at "2nd keys will and should be changed. Having the ability to 4man escape through hatch is absurd."
If you let a 4 man escape through hatch, that means they've completed ALL GENS and just skipped the gate phase. That's it.
That's on you. That's all I have to say about that. Sorry your NOED got 0 value.
-I've read the rest, and we can agree with everything else.
A 4 man swf that splits the hooks can easily complete 5 gens
-
@Someissues said:
Ye and what about insidious? That perk is legit made for camp
sometimes u have to camp or u lose the game or secure a kill. EG exit gates are opened, u leave hook - u lose another kill
Oh yeah I forgot that this perk existed xd
-
I'm surprised that almo isn't here, oh well.
It's not that bad, definitely not as bad as nurse. If you have at least some experience with fps games, then huntress is not going to be difficult to learn.
To master tho, that's a different story. I suggest watching videos of good huntresses cuz they know EVERY single tile that they can hit with their hatchets, every single crossmap hatchet, every trick in the book
-
I don't think they'll buff solo queue, instead I'm almost certain they'll nerf swf, so I'll talk about that instead. I think they'll remove the sounds that killers make mapwide (for example demos tp, maybe nurses blinks when not in chase or when x meters away from the nurse, x being the maximum distance blink + the second maximum distance blink)
-
It depends on how you describe the "toxicity" in dbd, cuz it had many different meanings. Every person has their own definition of toxicity, so having a non-toxic community is impossible, not just in dbd, but in every game. For example, I think that facecamping at 5 gens is toxic. I believe that cocky swf, is toxic. But if we remove swf, then the people that only played swf will complain in the forums. When you fix one toxicness source, a different one will take its place. Not just here, in every game.

And I said what does that matter? lol... doesnt change the fact they're siblings
What they want is an non licensed chapter that has a killer and a survivor to be related, having their lore combined. Could be interesting in world building imo. That's why they said, non licensed, since if it is licensed the lore would be: the entity, and it's all done.
But that's my perspective.

No it shouldn't, because in maps hooks and killer belongings are different I believe.

A 4 man swf can escape through hatch with the use of one key.

@AskingForHelp said:
You don’t realize that gens are actually not able to get done a lot of the time in most of these matches even when killers are camping and tunneling because most of the time killers proxy camp where they can watch gens and the hooked survivor. Killers should never be able to do that. The only reason why they can so easily and efficiently is because 1) maps are too small which squeezes gens together making it easier for the killer to do it and 2) survivors can’t even fight back lmao. This game for that reason leaves survivors at a disadvantage in most games even from a 1v4 perspective. Survivors are underpowered and even when you have a team that is organized and doing everything right it’s not even guaranteed that you’ll beat the killer the majority of these games. Tbh killers are too easy to play. It’s stressful at times, sure. But never can you ever play killer and be like... I played the best I could and still lost it’s the games fault. No it’s your fault. This game hands killers so many tools to do their job and even gives them the comfort of being able to proxy camp. still blows my mind that they haven’t done anything to improve the experience on the survivors end of things.
Unfortunately I disagree. Let's assume that there are 3 gens left (most chases in red ranks end after 2 gens are done, so let's assume that). The killer decides to hook the survivor in the middle of the map and camps them. Usually, the minimum distance of 2 gens is ≈15 meters, so let's assume that the killer is close to 2 gens. There are still 3 gens in the map, exactly the amount of gens that need to be done. So even if they do manage to camp in a place with 2 gens, the game will still allow the survivors to commit and have a 3 man escape.
The gens take 80 seconds to finish each, so I really doubt that the survivor team won't make any progress.
And no, there are still unbalanced issues on the survivor side that the killer can do nothing about. One great example is a swf with a haddonfield offering, a key and a "spawn the hatch to the main building" offering. They'll simply rush gens and 4 man escape through hatch, with little to no counterplay. Killer, imo, is much MUCH harder to play
-
As I already said, I've seen some people suggesting it, so I'm simply saying why I believe it should NEVER be bannable. Hope you enjoy

Keys will be nerf in the future, it was confirmed.

I agree completely. I have no additional things to say.
-
Even if you add a 3 second animation, you know that it is considered a nerf right? Since it went from better to worse. So keys will be nerfed, no matter what.
Also they're op as #########. Except the broken key, which I like.

Keys will get a change as well. Because moris are offerings it's easier to be changed. Keys, on the other hand, are a different story.

That's how they should be, they're offerings. They shouldn't drastically change the game.
