Unfortunately you gotta live with it. I'm practicing deathslinger and it feels pretty unfair in some matches since I don't know how to play him pretty well. I personally had a haddonfield game (offering) with a red rank 4 man swf filled with second chances perk, a key and an offering that spawned the shack on Laurie's house. Got one out of it but honestly, how can I counter this?
Then they proceeded to flame me for my awful killer skills and complaining that I tunneled, slugged, etc, when they literally brought the most op ######### in the game.
-
The bugs. Can't play legion till they fix him and spirit slowly becomes her pre-nerf self, so I don't play her either cuz I think it's unfair...
I'm trying to learn deathsljnger but he also has a bug on the windows....
Rough for killer mains....

Technically no, but the perk icon lights up when you look in their direction.
That's the answer!

I love nurses. I'm not a strong looper, so being able to work on being unpredictable in a chase and getting them harvesting wood and metal instead of me always feels great.

Unfortunately, people tend to complain when they know that no one will interfere, not saying that someone should interfere tho. Generally in most forums (league forums) people are toxic and demand things. Even I was toxic yesterday since I called the patch "unacceptable"

@Mandy said:
The problem with that, is that it leads to Survivors being able to get on objects that they're not supposed to be able to land on and then taking the game hostage from there...which is why things were changed a while back (am sure some people here will remember being able to Dead Hard from the Balconies on Haddonfield). It just leads to more problems.
I do ;-;

I won't run this build every match for a chance to be ready vs a spirit :/

I mean does that stuff work all the way across the map? Cause when I say he acted like he had bbq I'm saying from one side of the map to the other right where people are
Just like knockout it has an incredibly small range where you can actually see the aura, like within 24 meters
-
@Warcrafter4 said:
Was he using the shop lubricant addon?
It mimics knockout if there was no other survivors in the terror radius when he downs them with his saw.
As for him knowing where people were if they were on gens it was probably just tinkerer.
This guy is correct. This addon is knockout basically. And he probably had really good gamesense/tinkerer information.
-
Worst chapter release? Maybe. Worst killer release? Not even close. Legion is on the top of the list on that one.
-
Yeah it was unintended, unfortunately. That's why I haven't touched legion.

Idk if reverting it would be a great idea. Did this patch need more work? Yes, definitely. But now that it's here, people have already bought it. Etc, etc.
The people that got it/spent shards will have em back once it's republish. The devs could take a "screenshot" of what you have as of right now and once the chapter is complete you'll get em all back. Add a couple thousand bloodpoints as an apology and it's like nothing happened.

this is a killer forum, what do you expect?
Which I think is wrong, I don't think the community needs to be split to only killers and only survivors, but that's just my opinion.
-
It's undeniably more enjoyable to play, and more rewarding. But the amount of anxiety I have when I play killer kinda makes these feelings go away
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
Because $$$>your needs and wants.
I surprisingly disagree. They'd get more money from releasing something complete than this buggy mess, in my opinion.
-
No. It doesn't count as a chase, which is stupid imo, but understandable since the chase music usually matches the sound of the terror radius, and the bab- I mean, Charlotte's brother, viktor, doesn't have a terror radius.
-
Would fit into the gameplay. Even a dog can do gens.
But I don't like scooby being injured or dead :(
-
As much as I don't like "fix x" and "fix y" posts, unfortunately I have to agree on this one. If you climb to purple ranks, it's like being in rank 1 but can't brag about it. Red ranks survivors all around in every match that makes the game unfair.
The MMR system was supposed to fix that but welp, what can I say?
-
Bug. It's already discovered and they try to fix it.
-
I haven't try it much myself, but on the ptb it seemed like a really small map. I cannot really comment on your opinion due to lack of information, but I'll say that nothing is worse than haddonfield.
-
Unfortunately I also don't want springtrap on the game for 3 main reasons:
1st it could ######### up the lord of both games.
2nd the main thing that I love about fnaf is the minigames, which cannot be added to dbd due to its competitiveness.
3d I'm still have nightmares from fnaf pls don't hurt me ;-;
-
Unfortunately discussing something that might suggest a killer nerf on the forums is only welcomed by hate. Personally, I agree with you. It's an easy value combo that brings me memories of the old ruin, meaning it's:
Used every single game
The only way to counter it is by spending valuable time searching and cleansing totems.

lmao I play Spirit alot and I play with $5 earbuds. Prediction is 10x more important than sound
I said spirit mains, like Samantha. True spirit mains have a 3000$ headset I guarantee (streamers and YouTubers are an exception, they have like a 1000$ headset)
-
I am insulted that you didn't add one thing to the spirit category, I think it's a crime against society actually. Spirit mains always have a 3000$ headset.
Shame on you that you didn't mention that Kappa
-
I have to disagree on this one. If you're new to the game, everything you say is understandable. But if you're an old player, then you remember when exhaustion didn't exist, when you could vault windows infinitely without the entity blocking it, when old ds was still a thing, toolboxes were busted, when you couldn't kick gens, and much more.

I would not use the word "everyone" in this context. A lot of people don't use them as they are and jury-rigged advantage. Myself, I would never use them, as I personally consider them a cheat.
Ok sorry :3
-
Same ;-;

Unfortunately I have to agree. In games like league something op gets nerfed almost instantly. Keys and moris aren't even mentioned by the devs. We have no information and frankly this resulted in people not trusting the devs at all. I think the devs keep planning stuff that take time, and they want to both surprise us and make sure that the feature they've been working on is factional. Unfortunately this game doesn't need theories, but action.
-
Some killers want to win, if they do it's ok. They treat every game as a ranked game in league, makes sense
-
In 23 mins for pc
-
Dwight...the strongest killer of em all...
-
I do agree, but they're afraid to take action. If they make a second ds, killer mains will rage. If they make a second noed, the survivor main will rage.
So they make mediocre perks that make no one rage, at least imo. Ruin/undying was their latest fail since it is unfair for the survivor side, and guess who's raging.
-
If you watch streamers and youtubers, most use either filters, stretched resolution and perk/killer unique icons. At least in my experience

Also im gonna say it again because its the number one rule of survivor: split up. Even if the killer has undying ruin you can just plow through it without cleansing because the killer can only be in one place at a time me and my friends literally did all the gens through ruin undying because of just splitting up and the killer couldnt apply pressure to 4 areas at once
That my friend is a different story. Swf≠solo q gameplay. It's actually the opposite. Because something is good on swf it doesn't mean it's balanced. This game is supposed to be played without any sorts of communication, so balancing should focus around solo q and not swf.
And what you described is called genrush. And there are a lot of factors that can contribute to genrushing, for example your ability to communicate with your teammates, the killers knowledge of the game, perks, items, killer's perks/add-ons, what killer they play, their rank vs your rank (for example a rank 8 killer can't compete with a rank 1 swf).
See what I mean?

Ah yes saving 30 seconds for losing 2 perks for the whole game is the best tradeoff ever. When something like corrupt saves that for 1 perk...
Indeed corrupt saves a lot of time, but has a timer. Once it's done, you immediately lose one perk. Unlike that, ruin/undying is based on chance for the survivor side. Can last 30 secs, or can last the entire match. With corrupt, survivors can wait, with ruin/undying they'll have to be actively look for totems or only commit on gens. And if they get found, ruin will be activated and will immediately lose gen progress.
It's a lose-lose situation.

Ds unbreakable bt deadhard is silly braindead value coming from a rank 1 survivor. Dead hard is E to extend loops and ds unbreakable allows you to do gens in the killers face and if they come to chase you off just jump into a locker. Did i also mention these are actually given for free deadhard is whenever your not exhausted ds just requires being hooked and unbreakable being downed. Survivors explain when a killer ignores the meta perks like pyramid head and freddy so the perks just get free value. Undying ruin can get cleansed in the first 30 seconds of a match and theres so many ways to counter totems detective hunch and maps being two. Also even with undying ruin the killer has to apply preasure i cant just slap it on clown because hes slow survivors will just split up on gens and repair through it.
The technique that you just used is called "whataboutism", which is an actual thing. It means that you give examples in order to minimize or completely erase the damage of something else. Because one perk combo is bad, it doesn't mean that the other isn't.
Ruin/undying is basically free value. It can be cleansed in the first 30 secs of a match, but you did win those 30 secs didn't yoi? If they are unlucky and they cleanse ruin then they have to find another totem and cleanse it, with the hope of it being undying. Then, repeat till undying is cleansed or all totems are cleansed. One or more survivors are busy searching for totems, so that's -1/2 survivors that are doing gens. Meaning that the simple existence of this perk combination gains pressure and tons of time.
-
my current goal is to have fun. Nothing more or less.
-
Camaraderie is probably his best perk
They could use some tweeks.
Help I dunno how to disable this :(
-
Ruin/undying is simy free braindead value, coming from a killer main. If you cleanse a totem as a survivor you waste 12-14 seconds (I don't remember the actual time, it's between those two). So if you cleanse every single totem you've successfully wasted 60-70 seconds doing bones. So only by cleansing you've wasted almost an entire gen just to remove 2 perks from the killer, without adding thrill of the hunt, the unhooks/heals/interactions with the killers power (curing sickness, disarming traps, destroying portals)/being chased. Other slowdowns like corrupt and sloppy, ect. All of these combined make the game last forever and gives the killer value they don't deserve at all.
-
Using filters and stretched revolution isn't bannable. Everyone use em all the time.
-
Plague imo is the worst killer I've unlocked.
I have the same problem as you. The fact is that the hotbox is actually pretty weird and you need to play a couple of games to get used to it.
But I don't recommend anyone to start playing the plague. It's like "the nurse condition". If you start playing them, you'll suck for a while and probably depip all the way to green ranks. Then after your depression period is over you'll get rewarded. But with plague, the only thing you'll get rewarded is a boring killer....
-
To challenge yourself mostly and to prove to yourself that you can overcome the challenge. I also get matched up with red ranks as a rank 8 killer. Is it unfun? Yes.
Do I wanna go back to green ranks? Yes.
Will it be fair for the survivors? No.
Even tho matchmaking is a bit bad rn, I still believe that when it works, the games become very, very interesting. I'd love to be matched with rank 8 survivors since I believe that they're on the same skill level as I am, so it will be an interesting game.
If you wanna win every game, staying in green ranks is probably your best bet. But imo the players isn't the problem, but matchmaking is.

Nope.
Huntress has to ready her hatchet first and get it to max charge (if the hatchet isn't max charge then it makes it easier to dodge). This already gives the survivor quite a bit of time to react.
Also, she can't do it the whole time because she's losing distance while holding her hatchet deathslinger however even gains distance on you because he doesn't need to hold his gun all the time in order to shoot you.
As this guy explained, huntress has a lot of counterplay. She's forced to reload in lockers, she has a lullaby which makes her impossible to be stealthy and has to hold her hatchet so it can travel both faster and further.
Deathslinger's design is one of my favorites and he is pretty counterable by both pallets and genrush.
So unlike what you said, imo both killers are really well thought and designed.
-
The amount of anxiety that I have to go through as killer vs a good team. I'm tank 8 atm and I get matched with rank 1 commandos that know every single loop, every killer, how to counter em, all their perks and most of them run ds/unbreakables (I call em smol pps)
When I hook a survivor probably 2/3 gens are done, someone's already coming for the save, I get flashlight blinded, I can't pressure them enough, have to worry about keys, ds, dead hard, sprint burst, headons, ect.
Why play that when I can comfortably hold m1 on a gen and maybe move from one bush to the next as survivor?
I still play killer tho (most of the times) since I really wanna learn deathslinger.
-
I've seen some really unique and interesting ideas, so I'll mention some of my favorites:
An animation that is either really long or notifies the killer.
Only one person can escape through hatch at all times (meaning if a survivor escaped with a key the hatch immediately closes and endgame collapse begins).
Can only be activated during endgame collapse.
Make so the key can only aura read for more seconds and delete the escaping through hatch feature.
The killer has the ability to catch a survivor that escapes through hatch, and the survivor has to perform a channel with difficult skillchecks so the hatch opens
Limit the amount of keys in a lobby to one.
-
There are a majority of players that are very salty if you win, and very cocky if you lose.
For example, I'm trying to learn deathslinger. I had a game where I destroyed the survivor team, but had to slug. In result I was called a tryhard and they started to insult me because they obviously sucked at this game. On my next game I got demolished by red ranks (got to purple ranks after the previous game and the difficulty significantly changed) and they started flashlight clicking and tbagging, even tho I did a really good job (all of em death hook).
Even tho I've seen some stuff that cannot be unseen, the toxicity in this game is really laughable. I've come from games like overwatch, league, cs go and r6 and let me tell you, if you wanna see true toxicity, go into one of these xd
-
Facecamping, camping and tunneling are all strats that should be punishable by genrushing and counterable by some perks. As a killer, some times the right play is to do one of these (endgame to secure a kill, when a gen is almost done close to the hooked survivor, to apply more pressure to the survivor team/removing their strongest or weakest link). So making it banable is a bad idea.
-
It is a good perk combo, but it uses 2/4 perk slots. I like the idea, but I'm not entirely sure.
-
It really depends, for example if no one else is around/can't find the unhooker, yes I will. If I know that at least 2 gens are being worked on my best bet is to apply some pressure.
If they have a key it's also pretty reasonable to tunnel them in order to make sure they won't escape through the hatch.
It's really rare for me to tunnel someone out of the game, but if I'm forced to I will.
-
The only idea I don't like is the balloon idea, because it doesn't really fit with the lore. He isn't actually a clown, it's just better to find victims that way and move without any suspicion in the crowd. Having a balloon would make him incredibly similar to "it" and the community will not enjoy a clown that's like "it".
Also 10/10 drawings, I love how you also included his belly :3
