Unfortunately gen tapping is still a thing, so they can technically progress through the game a bit slower. Also there's a toolbox addon that disables skillchecks when repairing with a toolbox, so that's also another way to get around this.
Good idea in paper, but there are ways to get around it sorry :/

"Easier" adepts? It might as well not even be an achievement with how easy it is. All I am asking for is a non-moving goalpost for killers, and the simplest solution would be to make 4K= Merciless, 3K = Reckless, 2K = Brutal, 1K = Displeased. Easy, no mess, no having to change achievement wording.
They won't change the whole pip system for some achievements, even tho they need to change it regardless.
-
Either doctor, hag or spirit imi. Docs iri king messes up with survivors a lot, and iri queen punishes grouped survivors, so I do believe both are the strongest add-ons on him. Mint rag on hag is known for its incredible power and gives hag a lot of mobility, which makes her extra deadly. Lastly mother-daughter ring is great because you don't need scratch marks with stridor and a good headset

Except it isn't what survivors have to do. You can literally play like garbage, hide the entire game, use a key, and still get adept by simply escaping. You could have the worst score. Hell, you could have NO score if your entire team DC'd for you and you jumped in hatch without ever seeing killer. The difficulty is ZERO. I get survivor adepts whenever I want to, it is ridiculously easy.
Killers proving themselves by getting a 4K (which isn't easy with base perks) should be more than enough. Having to play a "perfect" game per the definition of Behavior (the right number of chases, the speed of chases, hooks, hits, avoiding being around hooks, no mori, gen hits, pallet breaks) when survivors just herp-a-derp in with a key and leave is stupid.
Well I agree that survivors do have easier adepts, but imagine having to have iri in all 4 categories as survivor. It's incredibly difficult, more than killer imo. So either the survivor adepts should be impossible, or the adepts should be easier to get and won't really prove anything, it'll be like the achievement "escape from the x map after completing the gen in the main building".
-
I personally am as hybrid as I can possibly be.
I make sure to play both sides every time I log into dbd regardless of missions and archives. I agree tho that hybrid players are extremely rare nowdays
-
Rn adepting is generally a hard challenge with most of the cast (to everyone who had adept trickster, I feel bad for you), so this change would make sense if you wanted to make it a bit easier to obtain. BUT, if you find it as a way for a killer to prove themselves, like proving that they have the skill to have a perfect game with the 3 og perks, then it actually makes sense of it being extremely difficult.

I was going to say that you're definitely high when I saw the title

As a survivor main, I stopped using this forum shortly after it was released. Mostly because I felt like most people that were responding to me were Killer players. A lot who mostly just complained and didn't bother trying to give any constructive criticism or ideas to fix issues. (I inserted this to say that Idk how many survivors currently use this thread, so not sure if the responses on here are more killer sided, survivor sided, or equal)
I get that DS needed to be nerfed, but I don't think this change was 100% it. I ran DS frequently simply because there are those games that are so toxic, doesn't feel like there's a choice but to "abuse it" --->. I like to have fun and limit test. But if a killer is being super sweaty, that's super unfun to me because then I feel like I have no choice, but to be super sweaty back. I don't see another options besides giving up, and who likes to give up?
I've seen so many, "you shouldn't be able to do a gen in our face". Well, if I don't think I'm being tunneled, I'm going to do something to advance the game. And about half the time, the killer comes back to the hook area to tunnel.
I think the current DS could be amended. "While Decisive Strike is active, the following interactions will deactivate it 3/3.5/4 TIMES FASTER (while in the interaction):" The idea behind this is basically the same. But accounts for Killers who soft camp/tunnel. If you something to advance the game, your DS will be gone in 13/14/15 seconds. I think being healed shouldn't cancel it, just if the heal is completed. (E.G. someone tries to use their WMI on you, but then SURPRISE the killer is back to tunnel you)
Alternatively, it could still be nerfed in another way. Much shorter duration 15/17.5/20, but gets paused if you're in chase. or 20/25/30 seconds, but gets cancelled when someone else is hooked. (to prevent a DS->BT chain).
I agree with your changes, but being healed doesn't stop it, neither does second wind. When you heal someone else or yourself, then it is.

5 to 7%? Damn that is waaaaay to high. Maybe like 1-2% per knife. I agree with everything else but if the knives are that high, think... 8 *5 = 40% slow. God damn that makes him vs that survivor basically a 150% movespeed killer. That would be bonkers.
I didn't mean that they should stack

"Why are you talking about why you were unhappy with the game?"
Imagine gatekeeping someones emotional response to a game they tried to enjoy. My god, get over yourself.
The topics are literally the same that are repeated over and over again, on similar "I uninstalled dbd" forums. If you uninstalled dbd and want to distant from your community, isn't the first step to distance yourself from the official dbd forums?
If you search back you can see everything repeated. A person leaving from dbd and complaining on why they leave isn't remotely surprising. It's like a trend
-
Congratulations you uninstalled dbd
Why are you here then complaining in the community that you left? Because we're gonna miss you? To have a systemic change because we want you back? You could've left silently but you chose to refer to the official dbd forums
Well done you uninstalled a game from your pc and you wish to not return. Then don't send a message to the community you despise?

Actually insane how some of you behave here. Let me let you in on something here. I am a permanently sick guy because I have epidermolysis bullosa dystrophic and suffered a superinfection on both of my legs which almost lead to me losing them. I use streaming as an outlet to not feel lonely and try to live without pain killers destroying my body.
Due to COVID19 I can't even go to a gym to better my body and get in shape because of COVIDIOTS and you are telling me you should be entitled to money just because I am streaming? On top of that, if there's one thing I enjoy most about streaming is that when people tell me I was able to put a smile on their face.
I don't know who you are watching to get this stereotypical hate picture imprinted on you that you seem to have but please don't label every streamer the same just because you dislike 1 of thousands of streamers.
Unfortunately to some people streamers aren't human, they're just lazy asses that use their money to be able to stream and flex to everyone about that and equip a fake persona so they can make more money. That's quite literally the 0.04% or even less.
It's borderline disgusting on what I see in the forums.

With the OP on this.
If the EULA of DBD stated that my games could be streamed, then that's good.
I have no agreement with twitch, or any twitch users.
After a hard day of work, I do not want the fact that I have all purple perks and still play like a potato, while I get abused by a 14 year old and his pals, streaming out of his mothers back bedroom, potentially to the world.
Thank you.
Wow the hate towards streamers is something else. They're definitely not people that are streaming because covid-19 doesn't allow em to work normally, or because they have time or even worse because they ######### can and have time.
They're definitely 14 year olds that don't care about their viewers and such
Ok pal
-
No you shouldn't, there are some scenarios where the shift button is needed. For example, you're sitting in an exit gate in the dying state and a genius survivor decides to heal you while the killer is coming. You could've crawled away if it wasn't for that survivor
But you can simply hold shift and escape.
-
When someone flashlight clicks I think "oh he's cocky"
If I have nothing better to do I chase them I don't really care about the clicks
But if I see someone else, oh boy I will purposely leave the cocky survivor alone so they cannot bully me. They'll have to either do gens, which will make them bored, or they will chase me, resulting in either an easy hit or someone not doing gens, which is always welcomed
-
Oh yeah, this will DEFINITELY be a good idea that wouldn't be exploited by streamsnipers and toxic people.
Also, it DOES warn you if you're vs a streamer as a killer. The only way it doesn't inform you is if you're a survivor.
If it hurts you that much, you're saying that your gameplay doesn't want to be proadcasted correct? So it doesn't only affect twitch but quite literally every platform that can transfer videos. So we're talking about youtube as well, not to mention Facebook or Instagram where it's also possible to share videos. Then it's viber because you can share videos as well there. And discord too.
So you basically want to have a choice of not being seen by anyone in an online game? Like it or not your game might be broadcasted, that happens in literally every game.
-
Quick question, if it is then....why are you here?

I would love to agree. Great concept. Great production value. The only problem (and it’s a big one) is Blight mechanics. Half the community can’t use him! That is, us console players feel left out on this one.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’ve gone against a few good console Blights, but they are indeed few and far between. I think people would rather be learning Nurse if they’re gonna put their time into a difficult killer.
I’ve seen the threads though. PC players LOVE this guy! Can’t blame you either. You can control him and get enjoyment out him. More power to ya!
@QwQw said:
Imma have to disagree with you just because Blight is next to unplayable on console.
I like it's REALLY bad.
@Negi said:
I do think the Blight chapter was pretty great. Introduced a great and fun killer, changed up the killer meta, etc.
Unfortunately he is a scuffed killer on console as his flick game is so weak you can't even adjust your direction properly. Doubly unfortunate is console is the only Blight that feels counterable as PC Blights hit flicks so sharp it feels like there is no counterplay.
@bm33 said:
Maybe it's because I'm on console but Blight is not fun to play against, feels like I'm bullying him most matches I face him. I've also only seen him maybe 30 times since his release so not really a killer that console killers seem to enjoy playing. I haven't bought Blight/Felix because they just don't seem worth it. No map makes it not the best chapter for me, it feels incomplete to me that we only got survivor/killer. There are other chapters I would consider best chapters because I enjoy the killer, survivor and we got a map - Halloween, Chains of Hate, and Darkness Among Us would be top 3 for me.
You four play on console so I can't really speak for you, since I'm a pc gamer. But I do get where you're coming from. It's like trying to learn nurse on dbd mobile if I had to guess. What's your favorite chapter may I ask?

Just because you had a boring match, doesn't mean that something should get nerfed. Otherwise I would be crying for Ghostface to get nerfed to the ground. But I don't do that, because it is not right.
Freddy has been my main ever since I first started playing, prior to his rework. I guarantee you that he is not OP and definitely does not requires a nerf.
Well, I'm not the only one by far that thinks that freddy is the most boring character to face. In red ranks, the only Freddy's I see are forever freddy's and I just wanna dc the moment I see the clock around my name.
I don't ask for a complete rework, I just want to not fall asleep in a gen since it takes 3 hours to complete, while my team is forced to waste all the pallets
-
The devs confirmed that a nerf is coming, but honestly can't confirm when it's coming. I just had a freddy with the red brush and the repair slowdown add-ons with thana/pop/bbq/tinkerer on Lerry's. The game lasted 15-18 minutes and it was so ######### boring. I managed to escape through hatch and post game we get a "ggez" from the rank one freddy main. Everytime we 85% a gen, he was there to stop us. Easily the most boring game I've ever played.
So, I want the Freddy nerf as much as you do, maybe even more because freddy makes me wanna puke. But I don't have a specific time that the nerf is going to hit the ptb or the live servers
-
At the start they were kinda ######### I'll admit, but then I did get good killers and survivors. I think it works great, even if most of my teammates were green ranks (I'm rank 4)
-
I actually have an answer for this, it's not intended. The devs have said that they want killers to be viable without add-ons, but they want people to run them. So basically, add-ons should improve a killer, but should be viable without them. See a pattern?
Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way, that's why they're trying to fix it. For example, wraith is getting a pretty good buff that won't make windstorm (I think, don't remember if that's the family of add-ons that give speed) a must have. They're doing add-on and killer passes in every killer, so trapper should get an addon change, after huntress and demo which were confirmed they're going to change
-
I think that bhvr doesn't focus on the power of the killer being strong or weak, but rather being fun to play as and somewhat interesting to play against. The trickster was designed as a fun killer to play, in my opinion. This way, the bhvr problem is slowly going away. The bhvr problem is: if they release a strong killer, say spirit, the community will call the game pay to win. The best survivor perks are usually available for free, at least on pc, because they don't want this game to be pay to win. Even tho that's not the case with killers, keep in mind that the strongest killer in the game is free, and doesn't need slowdown to win. So you can't argue that the game is pay to win, since the strongest ######### are already free. That's why they focus on making dlc characters and perks simply fun, so the worst people can say is that they release weak killers, and they can say that dlcs are optional and designed to add a bit more fun into the game

Knowing Scott he's probably using that as a cover to bamboozle everyone into thinking he isn't actually planning any collabs. I'd laugh my ass off if that were the case tbh.
Yeah, but since I'm unsure of his motives, I can't really do anything but speculate can I? :^)
-
Now, I personally wouldn't mind him being added. I kinda have a bad history with fnaf, but it's more of a me thing, and I wouldnt mind facing one of the animatronics head on, it could help me get over my anxiety of playing fnaf for the first time xd.
But, even tho I don't mind him being added, that doesn't mean that I believe he'll be added to the game. Horror games differ from one another, you have simply creepy horror games, survival games, jumpscare games, ect.
Dbd is an asymmetrical horror game, it'd built upon the feeling of anxiety I'd say. You're feeling anxious if the killer will find you, if you'll survive as a survivor. As a killer you're anxious all the time because you have to keep an eye on gens and babysit the survivors. So the feeling of escaping and 4king is what keeps us playing, in my opinion.
On the other side of the spectrum, fnaf is a single player survivor game that thrives in storytelling and jumpscares. You have the same anxiety and fear about survival, and about being jumpscared. Both dbd and fnaf have fantastic lore, but both of them aren't clear. So the dlc can create a lot of confusion. But, that doesn't mean that dbd doesn't have killers with unclear backstories, pyramid head and demo are two killers that all we know about them is speculation, and the dlcs didn't really confuse anyone, so it is possible to add a fnaf killer without confusing both communities more.
Secondly, I kinda agree that an animatronic killer doesn't really fit in dbd. The trickster is currently the least fitting killer according to the community, but I can see why he was added. If you didn't know, the kpop world is horrific, and totally matches dbd, even tho the lore didn't go into detail about the horrors in kpop, it just mentioned that it was difficult.
But again, this can be easily fixed, I'd personally like a burnt springtrap, at least as a cosmetic, to show the aftermath of fnaf 3
Lastly, the creator of fnaf hasn't really agreed in any collabs with any company, but as far as I know, he hasn't confirmed that he was ever asked to do one. So I'm speculating that he's going to do collabs after he's done releasing all his games and books. That's speculation tho, so you can ignore that.
A fnaf chapter can be added if the devs play their cards right, but it's going to be extremely difficult to add. But who knows, demo was added, so why not?

It's not a change, it's a beta test...
But hey if you all agree to be sheeps, continue to do so.
So what, do you want to take over bhvr so they can do whatever you want? They test something that is impossible to test in the ptb, so the logical solution is to test it on the live servers. Because it might be annoying they decided the test will last 24 hours. If you don't like playing with the new sbm, then don't play for a day
-
Legion for sure. I'd disagree with your take on blight, because the killer is incredibly fun to play and he offered so much lore and moved the universe forward

You are very ignorant and seem to have the "WhY dOnT yOu TrY mAkiNg A gAme" mentality where you think someone or a whole lot of people cant judge a game/movie cause they cant make one, why I'm saying this is because I've heard people like you say the same "lets worship the devs and act like they can or should do whatever they want" thing. Its so damn annoying. Tell me, how do games, movies, stories or really anything form? well I can tell you for one, games like dbd form from feedback from the community, because without the community the game would be nothing. DBD is an online only game therefore without the community the game is nothing. Now when people like you say "ThEy DoNt NeEd To LiSTen tO aLl Of YoU! tHeY cAn Do WhAt ThEy WaNt!!" you are actually doing far more harm then good because you are shielding the devs, and who ever else from actual good and important feedback on the game that they need, and instead giving them endless praise and ego.
and its Ludacris to even consider the "feelings" of the creators of this pretty much triple a game at this point. Its not an indie game. they have a reputation to uphold, for ######### sake they have, Freddy Kruger, Michael Myers, Leather Face, Amanda young from Saw, Demogorgon from stranger things, and the biggest one PYRAMID HEAD FROM SILENT HILL, not to even mention the survivor's included.
So what you're suggesting is that the devs need to fufil your and everyone's requests to keep a good reputation? You're correct, the game is built upon feedback and the playerbase is what defines the future of dbd. I've been in similar debates more than once, where people are annoyed of a change or, similar to you, complain that the devs simply don't listen. That's not the case pal, I could give some examples, like the undying nerf, freddy rework, the spirit nerf, the legion rework, that prove that the devs listen to feedback. The reason you're personally mad is because, just like many people of the community, you feel ignored because YOUR idea wasn't added, so I really wonder why did you think it would be added in the first place? The devs can't fulfil all the request made by every simple player, the game would turn chaotic. I'm indeed shielding the devs because remember, they're still people. You expect them to add whatever your heart desires, but that's simply not the case.
Also, how do you separate good from bad feedback? The feedback you gave was your personal opinion. There's not "good" feedback and "bad" feedback. Every inch of feedback you give to the devs is your personal opinion and they will use it however they want.
I'm not saying you can't judge, you can do whatever you want pal, freedom of speech is a thing....at most countries.... I'm saying that people like you don't see the problem the devs face. If they release a killer like spirit, the community will say that the game is pay to win. If they release a weak killer, then people like you come into play. They're stuck in and endless loop because of toxic people of the community so, since they have to keep their reputation as you said, they prefer releasing weak but fun killers.
Also, do you want the devs to NOT be able to do whatever they want? What's this, a dictatorship all of a sudden? Yeah they're human, do of course I think they can do whatever the ######### they want. Because you think that they didn't listen to your clearly professional opinion/feedback, you believe that they don't listen to everyone? I will repeat the points that I gave to you on my last comment because you don't seem to get it: the devs will change whatever they think it's necessary to change after reviewing the feedback they got. If you remember correctly, Freddy on the ptb was fine, but when he got released too op. So after they listened to FEEDBACK they changed him, and they're going to change him again, they admitted that. Same with the legion rework, it was the worst killer to face, and they reworked him and the deep wound status effect as well. So what I see rn is a person who think they don't listen to their clearly superior intelligence and feels like everything they say is the correct thing, so the devs shouldn't have the freedom to choose to do whatever they want and they need to be a slave to them. I'd suggest waiting till the killer is released and playing him a bit more to figure out if he's worth a nerf or a buff. Since the ptb isn't the best place to collect feedback, that's why they're going for the smaller changes.
Also his "nerf" was one change on one of his add-ons, which is justified really.
-
I'd say that thanatophobia is the best perk you can run on her. Dying light isn't that bad either since the altruistic action buff that the obsession gets isn't that big of a deal since you can rarely heal vs a plague (the one instance I can think of is with her only using red puke).
After that corrupt bbq is excellent, tho some people could argue that pop is exceptional as well.
-
It's used every game for a simple reason, pop is a nice gen slowdown perk and bbq gives bloodpoints and gives much needed sura reading. Keep in mind, thrilling and pop would be more or less the same

NOED is the equivalent of being beaten by a blue shell in the last part of the race in mario kart. It upsets those that believe if they are currently winning, then they should win the game. It isn't over until it's over. Mario Kart added the airhorn, dbd has totems.
That's no joke a perfect example. But again, I don't care about balancing. I'm talking about how much it sucks going against it because it feels punishing.

You don't care about surviving,...in the next post you say the primary objective is to survive. So your upset because you didn't get a 4s.
I'm more upset that a bad killer got incredibly lucky with one perk that it was impossible for us to counter (cleanse in this situation) resulting in us losing 3 members and 1 escaping. I don't see the game as "I win if I survive" I mostly see it as "how many survivors can I save". If I survive I'm a bonus.

Yeah the devs specifically mentioned that changing moris was quite easy, it's just a number in the algorithm. But the rework of keys would take time, to add animations, test it, rework add-ons and revisiting perks and items that interact with the hatch to see if they needed some tweaking. I guess that they wanted to release them together, but since changing moris was really simple, and the community was still outraged with them, they decided they should change that a bit sooner.
