Playing solo is the least desirable gamemode in DBD, period. There's No incentive, your odds of earning less than 10k BP is staggering. Its not about surviving, its about quality of the game. I'd like at least 1-2 hooks per game before I die. Does that happen? 80% of the time it does not. Killer sits there or proxy camps then tunnels off the hook. Why the HELL should I be required to take DS every single freaking game? I'm so sick of the garbage Meta BHVR forces on us. And the killer base doesn't help anything. But I guess let me take Boring Strike because I know it's going to get used due to a bunch of toxic muppets from both sides of the field.
I have 2 options playing Survivor according to killer mains like yourself. Don't play or play SWF with comms and completely stomp most killers. There is ZERO(0, nada, none, zilch) challenge in playing SWF.
"huehue dont get caught first" Bruh, BHVR has literally made it so you HAVE to get into chases. There is NO actual stealth category. You earn nothing unless you throw yourself at the killer or hold M1 for 99% of the trial. If i get a game where the mf isn't tunneling like he's digging to China, I'm absolutely shocked to the point Im at a loss of how to react. Hell, i've readily bought DLC for players who werent sacks of hot toxic garbage.
You basically said its OP and people like OP's fault survivors have a high queue time? Whatcha smokin' there bro? It couldnt have anything to do with the huge drops in pbase because people are sick of BHVR's priorities? Nah that couldn't be it. How absolutely atrocious the coding for maps are, the constant invisible barriers, couldn't be the huge amount of bugs, some in game for years(STILL). No no, it's people like OP making the queue times high. The fact you wouldn't even touch on anything else I said besides queue times says a lot. gg tho.
I'd touch the rest of what you said if it wasn't an incoherent rant. I picked out something direct and obvious.
I'm also not a killer main, I play both sides, at red ranks, thanks. Do you play killer at red ranks?

Just for clarification: Borrowed is now always active if you unhook someone even if the Killer is chilling on the other side of the map?
Yes, and not only that, any killer power, perk, or addon that gives you some form of Oblivious is now invalid and worthless with respect to BT. This is a giant buff for BT and nerf to every Oblivious element of the game, and it is frankly pathetic balancing. Probably going to invest my time in Home Sweet Home now, I'm tired of this garbage.

I love having it there - occasionally get the salty person in chat, but have met far more good people because of it than bad.

Have you seen the state of the game?
Broken Tomb challenges, afk/botting killers that punish survivors by wasting addons/offerings with no penalty, Stuns being worthless if the server has any type of hiccup. Killer using a VPN? Might as well DC and take the L or Suicide on hook.
That % would be broken 99% of the time, I can assure you. BHVR has a really bad track record with coding. What needs to happen is people need to boycott buying DLC and the Battle Pass until they actually put some QOL into their game.
Throwing a pallet only to get hit through it, or hit the killer with Headon and i'm hit before they get stunned, absolute garbage. My Solo queue has been a complete flipping headache over the last week.
Crossplay was introduced because queue times were staggering and despite massive % off sales and humble bundles they cannot maintain a proper player level to keep queue times low.
This isn't even about surviving the trial anymore. I'd sooner die 85% of the time than deal with the headache of their broken spaghetti code anymore. They need to fix their freakin' game, bottom line.
Queue times were only bad (and are still only bad) for survivors.
Gee, I wonder why.
Because of people like the OP who are constantly calling for killers to be worse and worse and less desirable to play for a majority of the playerbase.

@Taijitu said:
Let me start by saying that I'm not a frequent flyer of this forum. In fact, I've literally never been here before and I just created an account to write this post begging the devs to please, PLEASE stop buffing killer.
I'm a killer main. I've always been a killer main. But I don't play killer anymore.
Why? Because it's just too easy. Laughably easy, to the point of being boring. It feels like I can mindlessly tunnel survivors, hardly ever use perks or abilities, give no thought to strategy and still rank up.
I came here to share my opinion, and I didn't even have to look 5 posts down to find other players writing about the same thing. So I know I'm not crazy for thinking this or the only person who has noticed a significant shift in balance with the last few updates.
I'm not sure what the impetus is for all the recent changes favoring killers and making life harder for survivors, and like I said I'm not the kind of player who's constantly on forums keeping up with news and posts from the devs. So if that information is already out there somewhere, please enlighten me. But this is the theory I have come up with...
In the past, survivor and killer were fairly balanced. However, at the higher ranks, survivors tended to play in premade teams using Discord, giving them a significant advantage compared to the way the game was designed to be played (without voice chat). The game was no longer balanced at the higher ranks, survivors won more often than killers, and maybe killer became less popular as a result. In order to counteract the apparent imbalance, the devs decide to implement patch after patch full of buffs for killers and nerfs for survivors, and now we are where we are today.
In my opinion, this was the wrong approach. Killer is now way too easy in standard matchmaking, and even when you "lose" a game (3 or 4 survivors escaping) you'll generally still get enough points to not lose pips. Hell, you can even sometimes still gain pips even though you lost.
If I'm correct and the reason for the killer buffs is to attempt to nullify the advantage of voice chat used by high rank survivor teams, then the only way you can ever make that fair is to put voice chat in the game as a standard feature for survivor players. I get that it ruins the immersion, but without that there will always be a discrepancy/imbalance between whether or not the survivors are using voice chat.
A second (and perhaps better) solution would be to rework the pip system for survivors to incentivize play that actually wins games. Combine Evader and Unbroken together into one emblem, then add a second emblem related to gen progress. For example, Lightbringer could be left how it is (points granted based on individual player's percentage of the team's total gen progress) with the second generator emblem being shared among the whole team based on the team's total gen progress so that survivors who distract the killer while their teammates do gens (especially if they are keeping the killer busy primarily through stealth/hiding and not spending much time in a chase) still get credit for helping the team. This would also solve the problem of survivors getting punished with low points/pips when they have a great game where they are never or rarely found/caught/hooked by the killer. Because let's be honest... Gen progress is what wins games for survivors, but it's not what gets you pips. Right now there's way too much incentive for people to everything EXCEPT gens, and people who are focused on actually winning the game (prioritizing gen progress over Altruism/Evader/Unbroken points) get punished with fewer pips.
But yeah, anyway... Regardless of what you guys think the solution is, the current state of the game ain't it. It's ridiculous how many terrible killers I see running around at rank 1 and 2 because it's so easy for them to win right now (or still earn pips even when they lose). And for those of us who actually know how to play killer well, it's just not fun anymore when I don't even have to strategize at all or make any kind of creative use of my perks/abilities/add-ons... I just mindlessly run at people and M1, and even on the rare occasion that the survivors escape I still get enough points to get pips. In other words: boring as hell.
/endrant
Is this some brilliant form of reverse psychology? I can't tell.

I've said in numerous times on here they don't need to change anything about the achievement itself just what counts as a merciless victory. so many people are missing that point and going right back to the Sony won't let them change it because reasons
Yep, here's hoping that one of the devs actually reads the forums and takes good suggestions like this to heart.

Pretty much this. Used to play every day and only this, but after time and again of lack of listening to the community and poor balance decisions in a lot of cases, I just find my time better spent in other games. Nothing drawing me in and keeping me here except the friends I have made, and they are happy to play other games too.

Yeah, maybe... Whatever, i would be happy even if it only counted Sacrifices, but i guess DC and Mori should count too.
The thing is we can write things here we want changed and how we want them changed and they <most likely> won't change it.
That's one of the big downsides, the lack of what feels like good communication and the listening to feedback from the devs. Hopefully something that will change as time goes on, can't give up hope!

The thing is they can't change text on the perk because of Sony's policy. They would have to make achievement unobtainable first - or just change what a Mercilless is (which now is tied to Emblems and means +2pips, proposed change is to show Mercilless or Brutal etc... based on kills [sacrifices] during match, this way they won't need Sony's permission for that.
Kills needs to include mori and disconnects - or key/hatch escapes need to not count for survivor adepts. Equal footing for both!
-
@Alice_pbg said:
the achievement should be changed to "kill or sacrifice all 4 survivor using the killer perks only"
Changing the achievement is difficult - they made it merciless, but they've changed what makes a game merciless over the years.
They just need to separate pip/emblems from it, and base Merciless/Reckless/Brutal/Displeased off of the number of kills. Problem solved!

They won't change the whole pip system for some achievements, even tho they need to change it regardless.
That's not what I'm saying (even though the pip/emblem system needs a full overhaul on both sides). I'm saying separate merciless/reckless/brutal/displeased from the pip/emblem system completely. Make those strictly tied to number of kills (including DCs). That fixes everything.

Well I agree that survivors do have easier adepts, but imagine having to have iri in all 4 categories as survivor. It's incredibly difficult, more than killer imo. So either the survivor adepts should be impossible, or the adepts should be easier to get and won't really prove anything, it'll be like the achievement "escape from the x map after completing the gen in the main building".
"Easier" adepts? It might as well not even be an achievement with how easy it is. All I am asking for is a non-moving goalpost for killers, and the simplest solution would be to make 4K= Merciless, 3K = Reckless, 2K = Brutal, 1K = Displeased. Easy, no mess, no having to change achievement wording.
-
@Ryan489x said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2069178#Comment_2069178
All they really have to do is revert it back to where a 4K is a merciless. the achievement/trophy is tied to what the results screen says. They don't need to change the conditions that trigger it at all, just the ones that make the trigger happen.
Exactly. This would be the simplest change for Behavior to make - tie Merciless/Reckless/Brutal/Entity Displeased to 4/3/2/1 kills instead of emblems, and this would solve all the problems, and not require any achievement change, eliminating Sony as a problem.
-
@redsopine00 said:
If they change it back to 4K just make it 4K sacrifices
By that logic, survivors should only get adept if they escape without hatch/key?
No, just leave it simply at 4 dead survivors, by any means. Including DCs to prevent abuse.
-
@CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:
Rn adepting is generally a hard challenge with most of the cast (to everyone who had adept trickster, I feel bad for you), so this change would make sense if you wanted to make it a bit easier to obtain. BUT, if you find it as a way for a killer to prove themselves, like proving that they have the skill to have a perfect game with the 3 og perks, then it actually makes sense of it being extremely difficult.
Except it isn't what survivors have to do. You can literally play like garbage, hide the entire game, use a key, and still get adept by simply escaping. You could have the worst score. Hell, you could have NO score if your entire team DC'd for you and you jumped in hatch without ever seeing killer. The difficulty is ZERO. I get survivor adepts whenever I want to, it is ridiculously easy.
Killers proving themselves by getting a 4K (which isn't easy with base perks) should be more than enough. Having to play a "perfect" game per the definition of Behavior (the right number of chases, the speed of chases, hooks, hits, avoiding being around hooks, no mori, gen hits, pallet breaks) when survivors just herp-a-derp in with a key and leave is stupid.

the condition hasn't technically changed though. it's always been "merciless victory". unless they make it so 4k = merciless victory on the end results screen, they can't really do anything about it.
This is actually a brilliant solution. Untether "Merciless Victory" from the emblem system, and simply make it Merciless Victory if you get a 4K, Ruthless for 3K, and whatever for 2K/1K. That makes it a far easier change from Behavior's side, they don't even need to change the achievement, and it makes it work at all ranks.

All I’m seeing lately from killers is face camping and hard tunneling along with them trying to hold the game hostage and anytime any survivor escapes they start sending messages to every survivor on the team telling them to kill themselves, that they suck, and that they are horrible human beings. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to play this game anymore since the killer mains can’t seem to act like anything but 12 year old children that think they deserve everything in the world. It’s even more depressing that this isn’t just happening at the los ranks but at red ranks too as I am a rank 1 survivor and still see this behavior from rank 1 killers constantly.
All I gathered from this post is that you have never played killer for any extended period of time at red ranks.
I don't face camp or hard tunnel, and I play both sides at red ranks.
Survivors have it easy compared to killer. Hands down.

Lol, i did have that idea myself: To just make it impossible to earn for a few days, enough to make PS go like: "Well #########, guess you can change it then."
Btw, earning Adept has never been tied to killing all 4, they never changed the way to earn Adept itself.
To earn Adept, you have to get the perfect score of Merciless Killer.
HOW you earn Merciless Killer is what's changed.
First it was by earning full BP in all 4 categories, then it was to kill all 4, now it's to earn high enough in your Emblems.
Basically, you always needed to rank up as well as possible in a trial with just the 3 Perks to earn Adepts, the conditions are what have been changing over time.
Survivor Adepts have escaped this by never having such a message at the end of a trial, only escape or die.
I guess that is true, it has just been very poor emblem changes. It used to be that 4K = merciless (always merciless). They should simply say to Playstation that it is no longer possible to get merciless with a simple 4K, and they need to change the achievement to reflect that. Seems like a simple thing to do.

If there is a general issue with pallet stuns that Enduring has nothing to do with, then no.
If Enduring is currently bugged to reduce stun durations by 100% and you are exploiting that bug, then yes, you might get banned.
LOL.
You will not get banned for using Enduring when it is bugged because of a problem with the perk on Behavior's side. By that logic, every single person using DS who is unhooking and not disabling their DS because it is bugged can be banned too. That isn't how it works.
-
@Boss said:
Yes, they do.
No, they won't.
Not until they're actually impossible to achieve on PlayStation.
Until that day, they'll stay like this.
Then they need to tell Playstation it is impossible, or make it impossible, so they can simply change it. This is a common sense change that should happen (and honestly never should have been changed from 4K to begin with).
-
@kDarko said:
The worst thing of going for merciless is that if you start the match too "merciless" for the achievment, survivors may DC or die at first hook and you don't get the merciless victory because of their desition, not yours. So it depends too much on survivors to be such a hard trophy for the killer.
Also survivors can get adept too easily as they can perfectly get it by hiding the entire match, and/or using a key lmao.
@Marcavecunc said:
I agree it should be the same way.
Imagine if survivor adept required you to get 4 iridescent emblems rather than just escape.. You can get that done by sitting in a corner, or get the hatch (that's how I got Yun Jin's.. first two hooks suicided, third guy DC'd, killer took pity on me and let me go)
But yeah.. The equivalent of "escape the match" is "kill everyone"
Would need to work out if bleed outs on the ground would count and collapse sacrifices, but I mean as long as no one leaves, why not?
Only Adept I have is Pig's cause she's my main (and honestly the only one I tried to get it on)
I don't care to try adept on everyone with the requirements they have right now, but if they changed it I'd definitely give it a go on everyone
Exactly - survivors would almost never get adept if they needed to get 4 Iridescent emblems like killers need to (and even with 4 Iridescent, it doesn't always say merciless, which boggles me).
Survivors get it from any escape - even a key escape. So any bleed out, any DC, any mori should count as a death.
I got adept on killers both before and after the change, and 4K was tough but still possible. Merciless on some killers is nigh impossible without some form of farming because their base perks are so weak.
This also honestly points to another issue - killer balancing is done around meta perks, rather than balancing them independently.

They changed the achievements before (it was a simple 4K back in the day). They can do it again. Changing the emblem system will take weeks or months to implement correctly.

Yes, we get it. Your first three games playing him didn't exactly go well. We understand he's in need of some buffs. It's obvious he's not nurse of Freddy levels of good. The problem is, you're all playing him expecting to do good without actually working out all his kinks. Stop expecting 4ks and start learning from your games instead of complaining on the internet. I've already run into some tricksters who absolutely decimated me and my teams. It can be done. Just give it some time.
"Give it some time" - we did, on PTB. They were told he was poorly implemented. They delayed a week so we were hopeful, only to have them nerf his addons, add a cooldown/stun to his activated ability, and made Main Event essentially a harmful thing to use.
As a killer with over 1300 hours who also plays survivor, I can speak from playing both sides, Trickster as he is currently implemented is BAD.
If you think otherwise, you simply do not have a good frame of reference to understand, either from a lack of experience, or a lack of understanding of what makes a good killer versus a bad one.

@Hektic3000 said:
What needs to be changed is the emblem system, its old and doesn't reflect what happens in the game most times.
While I don't disagree with this, it doesn't change the fact that they changed it from 4K to merciless because of mori. Then they changed the pip system so getting a merciless was very difficult (and more difficult the higher your rank). Now if you want to adept, you often have to derank just so the pip system is forgiving enough, and then hope for a good lobby that doesn't rush gens too hard to kill your gatekeeper score.
The simple fix that matches it for killer vs survivor is simple 4K, just like survivors get simple escape. And DCs count as a kill to prevent abuse.

Some random dude that you don't even know is doing it in DBD, why do you even care? It is not even real teabagging, because they are not doing it over your virtual dead body.
Or is it that teabagging reminds you that the survivor (or the whole SWF team) is a better player and you just simply can't accept this fact that they are better?
For me, teabagging (typically) is done to taunt/jeer at the killer in a way that can't be done with any other mechanic during the game. While I don't personally get worked up about it, I find the behavior itself to just be rude, and so as killer, I make a point to show those who teabag who can really be in control (I generally play for points/hooks, not kills) if I really want to be. Teabagging just perpetuates toxicity in this game IMO, so I do my best to give ego checks to those who do in the hopes they won't do it in the future (like that will ever happen).

I love your writing. Truly. Hoot hoot.
You want specifics?
You start with setting threshold limits to altering velocity vectors of Oni and Blight's turning circle. They sit on a 3d plane and there is a mathematical function in the code that sets the ability to change direction on the x-y plane. The function would be a radical (which is a square root function) because the faster you flick, the smaller response you get in return. On a graph that looks like deminishing returns as x increases. x = mouse input for the flick and y= the turning circle (in radians) you see as Oni/Blight. Naturally they have two different functions but it's the same concept. I would have to see the source code to see exactly where the function would have its maximum threshold set as well as how I would approach writing the logic so it actually translates into their respective gameplay. My guess for a function that suits is
f(x) = squarert(x/5 . 10^3) , f(x) <= 1.57 (in radians)
This function would behave as if you flick with a ~12500 dpi mouse you will flick at 90 degrees and that threshold I set makes it a maximum 90 degrees. (just an example not sure exactly what figure would be a balanced yet fair flick for both the killers)
Are you sure you want to see this in source? What language do you want it written in? C++ or UE4 Blueprints are the only options for this game but I'm sure you don't understand how to read these.
The problem with your "math" is you are assuming it is that simple. You are making massive assumptions as to how the programming actually occurs, when you really have zero insight into the actual code being used. You're blowing smoke with a pure hypothetical, and it just looks stupid to anyone with any actual programming experience.

The developers made it so that the blight is not supposed to turn more than 90゚. Using high dpi to break through that is unintended. It literally breaks something they designed. I am tired of hearing the excuses
Yes, because the devs always program things perfectly. snort
If it is truly a bug, they can find a way to fix it. Hopefully without breaking "normal" use of the power, but I won't hold my breath on that.

You don't have to have an agreement. No expectation of privacy, public area (the internet is not your backyard), you are fair game. Don't like it? Stay offline, stick to single player. It may come to that someday. It isn't there now, and even if it is there someday, you are online in a public venue. The same laws will apply to expectation of privacy and public filming. Meaning nothing will change, if you don't like it, go play single player games offline.

I said the same thing and then somebody showed me video evidence and I was like wow. Yeah it's definitely widespread it's called the Japanese flick
I just watched the video on Jflicks....it isn't macro based. It is simply a skill based on game mechanics. I had never even heard of them before seeing this post, but found that I actually do them regularly just because I am experienced on Blight, just with regular old mouse movement (though I do have lower DPI so I flick pretty hard).
-
@Canas said:
Why should Oni and Blight players be allowed to take impossible turns during their rush which they weren't intended to perform? These killers were balanced around having strictly limited movement options during their ability, that's called counterplay.
And yet 3rd party tools like mouse macros enable players to cheat the system by giving them the option to bypass this handicap entirely. Oni players probably have to be the worst offenders when it comes to this. Either patch these killers to be unable to exceed a certain turn degree or make these macros a bannable offense.
Sorry, do you have proof that macros are being used in a widespread fashion?
I play both, and I make turns that surprise people all the time. Granted, I'm swiping my mouse like an angry-about-to-quit-employee clearing their desktop, but it is legit. So unless you have documented proof, you probably shouldn't accuse people.
-
Many killers in this game are either based on real killers that existed, or have significant similarities to real-life scenarios. Those who have experienced those things first hand will have greater fear of them.
But saying that you're afraid this exact killer may exist in reality - that's just absurd. If you are that fearful of fictional characters coming to life, please be sure to avoid every horror movie or game ever. You can't seriously be angry at the developers for this.
-
You're classifying these incorrectly.
Information perks related to gens, versus regression/progression related perks.
Resilience, Fast Track, Prove Thyself, Technician, Repressed Alliance = progression related perks (Technician is a stretch, but prevents regression if skill check missed)
Hex: Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Oppression, Thanatophobia, Dying Light = progression related perks (direct effect by either causing regression or slowing progression)
Many of the other perks you listed give or block information for gens. There are also many situational perks - Overcharge for example, only has a regression effect if a skill check is missed. Hex: Huntress Lullaby is also in the same boat. This also doesn't take into account stacking effects - Prove Thyself adds to speed per person, so that can stack,
All of this also fails to take into account toolboxes, which can vastly increase the speed.

Samination cleared this up ages ago. Myers always breaks Ghostface out with some epic staring. Duh.

I totally read that in her voice 😂

We’re not talking about tiers mate...
Tiers aren’t stopping me from winning most of my matches with either Clown or Doc
Except you are. You said you won't play killers who can't negate looping. So for you, S tier is Doc and Clown for anti-loop alone, and everything else is D tier. I happen to disagree with you, and based purely on raw power, I listed all the killers (because I actually still play all of them). I negate looping by being better as a killer on any killer. I still win most of my matches with a 4K. Occasionally a 3K due to a hatch (because I rarely if ever slug for the 4K guarantee), and at minimum 2K. There are those matches were I'm not playing insanely hard, or get an especially bad matchup of killer and map, where 3 or 4 escape, but that happens maybe 5% of the time. And this is all with a different killer each game, at rank 1.

Huntress is only scary thanks to Samination....husky girl wants to "marry" poor Tapp *shudders*

I just personally can’t stand, and have no patience for killers that cannot negate looping. And I just cannot stand playing as killers with a power that shines on some maps, yet is abysmal on other maps.
I think this is why I’ve stuck with Clown & Doc for so long. Because they’re not map dependant killers, and they have methods I’ve managed to use effectively to deal with the most irritating part (to me personally) of the chase: looping. And although Doc can’t end a chase anywhere near as fast as Clown, he at least at base can make pallets dangerous, and waste a hell of a lot of the survivors time without slow down perks.
I’m just no longer feel excited to see/play as new killers. I like to watch streams of players playing as new killers. I’ve been enjoying watching footage of Trickster. But at this point I’m only ever really excited to see what the new perks are. I just feel less, and less inclined to use anybody other than Clown or Doc.
Anybody else just feel more and more discouraged trying killers outside of their mains?
Or also narrowing their mains by ditching some they used to play?
As a largely killer player (though I have played survivor up to rank 1, and play a few times a week), who plays ALL killers in rotation (despite having killers I prefer), I would count Clown and Doc among the weaker. My tier order of power would be as follows:
S tier - Spirit, Blight, Ghostface, Freddy
A tier - Nurse, Legion, Doc, Clown, Myers (with right addons)
B tier - Huntress, Plague, Deathslinger, Pig, Oni, Wraith, Hag, Trickster (so far)
C tier - Pyramidhead, Twins, Billy, Bubba
D tier - Trapper, Demogorgon
However, I play them all (and personally love Trapper, and can make him at least A tier with the right addons), and any tier can perform well with a bit of luck and good addons. But base power alone, this is a pretty fair representation of where killers rank (in my opinion).

I know this community are biased to killers but i just watched zubat's video and new killer is disgusting as hell. I am sure even Scottjund agree with this
Spoken like someone who only plays survivor and not both sides, thinks that only the other side is ever favored (as someone who plays both, the bias is actually about 60/40 in favor of survivor). And someone who clearly doesn't understand how to counter ranged killers in this game. It is literally the same strategy as with Huntress and Plague ranged attacks.

Survivors love to hate NOED, and call it a reward for losing. But in the same breath, they say that DS needs to exist to punish killers for tunneling.
That same logic applies to NOED.
It's there so the killer can punish survivors for bad behavior. If they would just spread out their attention across both generators and totems, instead of tunneling the generators out of the game, they wouldn't ever encounter NOED as a problem.
But it's the killer's job to pressure survivors to make them leave generators, you say. Well, it's the survivor's job to avoid getting hooked. A good way to do that is to be someplace other than at the generator when the killer comes by to check; what better place than cleansing a totem?
But tunneling is no fun for the survivor who is killed, you say. Well, having gens tunneled out of the game denies the killer the 12-hook game everyone seems to think is the proper way for a killer to play; that's no fun for the killer.
But NOED just rewards killers for bad play, because it only procs when they're losing, you say. Except if a survivor played better they wouldn't ever have a chance to use DS -- it's a reward for losing.
But generators are a survivors's objective, you say. Well, hooks are the killer's objective.
But you can't be sure that all the other survivors cleansed totems, and it wastes too much time walking around looking for totems, you say. Well, it wastes a lot of time walking around to multiple generators to check if a survivor is there, and a killer doesn't have teammates to rely on to do their job for them.
Really it just boils down to the fact that survivors hate NOED because they were close to success, but then this irritating perk procs and undoes the results of your hard work, leaving you feeling like you just had the carpet yanked out from under you. Which is exactly what DS does to killers.
As someone who has played both survivor and killer (more killer) at rank 1, I find NOED to be a huge crutch. NOED teaches killers that they can not learn to pressure generators better, and just play relaxed and if gens (are completed, regardless of speed), they are rewarded for it.
I've suggested a re-vamp of the Hex system, where all lit totems are removed, increase the number of totems total, and turn Hex perks into scaled power based on the number of totems up, as this would be a perfect, incentivized secondary objective system.
In the case of NOED, if all totems are up, the killer would have X number of charges 1-hit downs using M1 LUNGE only. For every totem removed, the killer would lose a charge (or charges, subject to balancing). This change would punish survivors for truly rushing gens (to the exclusion of totems), while not punishing all survivors (and rewarding lazy killers) for simply finishing gens (in whatever time frame) and missing maybe one totem. Under this system, if some of the totems were cleansed, the killer would be limited in how many (if any) they could knock down once gens were complete.
Hell, in the above case, they could even make NOED a standard part of the game, forcing a totem risk-vs-reward dynamic and strongly encouraging secondary objective completion.

Some opinions are okay. Some are not. Homophobia is not okay. Homophobia is not right. Homophobia will never be right. The opinion that LGBTQ+ people are disgusting, or the opinion that that statement isn't inherently wrong (morally) is not right.
Have a good day.
While you might find an opinion _offensive_, that doesn't make it wrong. It's simply something you don't like. But an opinion can't be wrong, inherently by nature, no matter how much you dislike it or find it offensive. When it does become something wrong that you can be punished for, then you've lost your freedom of speech, and what you say is then controlled by whoever dictates what the popular opinion is. That's not acceptable.
The image you posted has something that wasn't an opinion. There's a difference between an opinion and a call to action. That image contains a call to action which is wrong because it calls for the bodily harm of someone else. That is no longer an opinion.

Hi yes the fact that you still have yet to say that homophobia is objectively wrong and instead "neither side is right or wrong" sickens me to the core have a great day, I hope to never interact again
though, of course, if you could supply me a scenario where homophobia, biphobia, or transphobia is right then I'll gladly eat my words.
See, again, you seek to place me on a side. I have said I'm not making an opinion on EITHER side. Then you follow up that attempt to place me on the "evil" side with an emotional statement of "sickens me to the core", in a clear attempt to garner support.
I never said either side was "neither right or wrong" - I said that OPINIONS are neither right or wrong. That's a key distinction that you continue to fail to see because you're not being objective.
This is the huge problem surrounding any contentious topic. Especially the hot topics in the cancel culture society we see today. If you don't vocally and vehemently support the popular side, then you are vilified, ostracized, and in some cases, physically or socially hurt in some other demonstrable fashion. People have the right to their opinions, even if you don't like them or think they are "wrong". They shouldn't have to fear reprisals just because they don't agree with you. That sort of culture breeds exactly what you claim to fight against - discrimination, hatred, and fear.

I'm sorry honey if you see the words "ugh ugh its so yuck to think about" and when someone asks what's wrong with LGBTQ+ people they respond "many issues... LOTS of issues" you don't see "a hatred of homosexuality" alongside the rest of the LGBTQ+ community you clearly don't think at all lmao. It's literal discrimination because they don't want it in DBD despite it having absolutely 0 impact on the gameplay. It's literal aversion to an LGBTQ+ character. Why though?
You're trying to defend the losing side here honey, and you're failing. Quit whilst you're ahead.
See, the problem here is you are reading into it what you WANT to read into it. You aren't being objective, you're being emotional, and giving an emotional response rather than a rational one.
As I said before, I'm not arguing in favor of (or against) what that person said. You are trying to put me in that position, because then you can put me into a box and label me and call me the enemy and justify attacking me, using cute belittling terms like "honey", and consider your job well done. That's a petty, emotional response that makes you feel good, I'm sure.
As I said before, and I will reiterate again, I am not defending or arguing against either side. I'm merely saying that everything expressed so far has been an opinion, and opinions inherently are not wrong or right. There are facts, and there are opinions. Stop trying to mix the two.
Hope you have a better day! :)

Allow me to quote
ugh wish they kept that stuff outta the game ugh ugh its so yuck to think about
In reponse to someone saying that they want an LGBTQ+ killer. When asked what was wrong with that, they responded:
many issues that arnt suited to be spoken about here on a video game forum. LOTS of issues
To which someone said "you're that type of person" and they then responded:
problem?? I have my opinion you have yours dont like it dont read it
This is textbook homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, etc. It's not me putting labels where there weren't any they literally said "ugh ugh its so yuck to think about" in response to something LGBTQ+ related are you mentally okay?
Perhaps you should considering using what remains of your brain to think critically instead of defending a literal homophobe? Or is that asking a bit too muc-
Wait no you think homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, etc aren't objectively wrong so you can't have too much of a brain to begin with.
Textbook? There's a true, legal definition that was clearly followed by these three posts from some random internet troll?
Wasn't aware I was in the presence of an internet lawyer. My mistake.
See, when I think critically, I seek the base truth. So let's go to the legal definition, shall we? Or I suppose, as legal as we can get on the good ol' internet. From uslegal.com:
Homophobia Law and Legal Definition
Homophobia includes hatred or fear of homosexuality. It is also defined as a desire or attempt to discriminate homosexuals. Generally, homophobia is placed in the same class as racism. where hatred, fear and discrimination are directed against persons of different races. Homophobia is fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals. Sometimes it is used as a label, to intimidate and stifle legitimate disagreement with homosexual issues.
Now, a critically thinking person, reading the statements you quoted, might INFER that the person is homophobic. However, from a purely logical and legal standpoint, they simply said they wish it wasn't put into a game. An opinion, and one you apparently don't like, but in any case, still an opinion.
Just because someone doesn't like your lifestyle doesn't mean you get to bash on them. That's literally hypocrisy. Should that person be able to call you homophobicphobic because you are bashing them for being homophobic? No, that would be silly. So is you labeling them the same. Ignore the internet troll, block them, and move on with your life. Pretty simple, right?
