Wglf plus anything that helps you live long enough to gain bp. Which means meta perks. Very original, ikr?
So, wglf, ds, bt and a wildcard, most likely an exhaustion, or something to get survival points, like deliverance or built to last.
Prove thyself is not necessary. Just hop on a gen with someone else. Coop point on objectives are already high as is and easy to max out.

But then why announce something that's still in the works, and allow survivors to blow through their keys while they're still OP? It's a disaster waiting to happen, and they know it.
Because, as I said, it's a more technically complex change that they wanted to test on a ptb by the looks of it.
-
They're counterforce 2.0 aka too much ado for nothing. The nerf was warranted even if at addressed meme scenarios with insane rng. However, they weren't worthy before and the aren't after.
-
Are you expecting bhvr to give a ######### after the lead designer described that exact scenario and his conclusion basically boiled down to a 'Sucks to be you. Anyway'?

Just make it a zero time use. Ez /s

Infinite looping next to their generator just to go back on it cause you couldn't catch them seems downright scummy, maybe if those gyms had random spawns further away from said gen maybe.
You're trolling on a disposable account. Fair play.
-
They had to change an achievement for that, which is something they extremely rarely do because the stated it's a pita on console.
It was also more complex technically, with new animations and interactions that could be bugged and necessitate to be tested on the ptb.
As oppose to moris that just required a simple value change.
-
It's in the game to avoid stalemates. Your objective is to kill survivors, not prolong the game indefinitely.

Boon totems might make the perk better. Hear me out.
Plaything turns a totem into a hex totem. A survivor blesses that totem. The killer stamps it.
This now means you have another dull totem for Plaything to re-hex instead of getting at max 5 uses. You now have theoretically 8 uses (since the other 4 hooks will kill the survivor).
Plaything procs only on a survivor's first hook. It has hard cap of 4 uses.

High-quality bait. Hats off to you.

A lot of people are looking at it exactly the way it was sold to us aka as a SKILL based system, except, admittedly, there's no skill factored in. Again, for the dev's own admission.
I think this is what rubs many people the wrong way, especially after two years where we were asked to blindly trust the system and eventually it turns out we were lied to. And we found out only because their hand was forced by leaks.
-
I think there are three overlapping issues here:
- They advertised this new system for two years which would have allegedly measured skills, where it literally does ignore skills, as openly admitted to in Patrick's answer.
- They also refused to reveal to us for two years how the system worked and basically told us 'just trust us', as if we where too dumb to understand how such a shallow algorythm worked. Then they ######### up as usual, the system gets datamined and when the cat is out of the bar, then surprise surprise it turns out they weren't deserving of our trust.
- Finally, when they openly talked about it, they do it in a mocking and condescending toner, ignoring any basics of communication.
I think we're back to where we always end up to, i.e. there's a huge disconnect between the devs and the community, which is furthered by the devs' we-know-better attitude.
-
I prefer No-Skill Based MatchMaking.
Either way, it's pretty accurate.
-
The actually did ban players for that (but they admitted to it in chat).
And around that time they changed it so survivors would be given their item back if the killer dc'd.
Many changes have gone through with Franklin's. So, it might've been bugged in the process, or they changed it back intentionally or by oversight.
-
Circle of healing stacking is going to be nerfed, if I had to bet.
They might even make it so every time you bless a totem it takes increasingly longer.

Insidious shouldn't work.
Try ghostface, scratched mirror Myers, Blight with the add-on. All those are generally easy for the challenge.
DO NOT use the ghost on Wraith, because it doesn't give you undetectable fo whatever reason.
-
Stacked slowdown and a wildcard have always been the best builds for every killer regardless of mmr.

I'm stealing your line about the fields...
anyway, as for op. I agree, being told how you should play is so petty. Fun is subjective and people need to realise that. I for example have fun playing with Insidious Bubba in basement. But get told "that's not how you play" and "you ruin other peoples experience" I'm playing for myself to have fun.
Not really mine. I read it on a meme somewhere. It's a good one, it will serve you well.
-
I don't have an issue with people expressing themselves. They're free to tell me how to play. Then they can lay their eyes on the fields where I grow the ######### I give, and they shall see those are barren.

I think those addons should have some sort of downside like Engravings on Billy by making the Rush token recharge slower. And yeah, Ring is busted. Kind of ironic how they did an addon pass to Blight this patch and his addons actually received buffs. Makes me wonder if someone at BHVR hates Hillbilly because god forbid if he can charge up his chainsaw 20% faster.
This was McLean's last patch and Blight is his child.

This is actually a problem. I don't know if it's intentional or not but its really annoying and impossible to solve.
Anecdotally, it's intentional to punish survivors who take too long to pick up the box and solving it. Which is a reason that has merits to it.
The issues arise because there are situations where it's outside the power of the survivors to solve the box timely (e.g. the killer starts the chain hunt, or the box carrier gets found, maybe with Hoarder, and chased). Not to mention that there shouldn't be a game mechanic that counters its counter.
Imho, the easiest solution coding-wise, while offering a happy medium, would be to make it solving the box longer during the chain hunt and chains interrupt the action BUT progress is maintaned (again, only during the chain hunt).
-
You should be good. If you killed the Nea in the locker and let Steve go, you might've run into trouble for teaming. But because you killed the sandbagger instead, I see no issues. You won't get banned for farming, that's allowed although not openly encouraged.

Those who celebrate the nerf are being a bit delusional
Not that much has changed.
The new ads sucks but once you get used to it there are very little shots you can't make that you could before.
And the zoning that people were complaining about can still be done thanks to the increased movement speed.
Just keep aiming and move to the survivor. They are still in a lose lose situation most of the time. And this time without the skill of no scoping. This is especially enhanced with addons.
The only real hard hitting nerf is the terror radius one but that can be easilly manipulated by perks.
In return he also has addons that reduce his stun to almost nothing.
I almost wouldn't even call this a nerf. More a side grade
This^.

Yeah they don’t touch it. I’m saying they are at a gen, presumably about to start working on it as a go to patrol it. And I catch them and start a chase
The superior play is to slug in that situation and pressure the other hook. If you have so much pressure that you hooked someone else, re-downed the first survivor and still have ds, then it hardly matters.
Either way, you misplayed, it's not ds that punished you, like it would happen with the previous versions.
Also, you should be happy it's not true anti-tunnel, because for it to be, it would have to be buffed and I doubt you'd like that even less.
-
It's legal. There's that.
We'd have to define 'wrong' to have a conversation.
I could argue, for example, that tunneling must be kept within reasonable boundaries, or it could literally kill the game. Check Deathgarden's players count for an example. Nobody is going to play a game if they become a glorified npc at the mercy of another player (same for killers if, for example, infinites still existed).
Is that an example of 'wrong'? You tell me. Food for thought, though.

You can run Pinhead without Ruin/Undying. I run BBQ and Corrupt Intervention instead and also 3K or 4K every game (and, unlike said streamer - without using Engineers Fang..).
And well, I highly doubt it should be possible to win basically every game with a certain build or Killer. This will just result in said build getting nerfed (you can expect Engineers Fang to be nerfed anyway, no way the Devs keep this Add-On like it is).
Tbh I'm not sure it's working as intended, but I'm probably wrong and I fail in trading comprehension. When I tried it, I was expecting to get the free injure, but then it wouldn't do anything else. I was actually surprised that chains bounded injured survivors.
Back on topic, this kind of power-creep builds usually don't last very long (see Trickster's death throes etc.)
I also fail to see how a build that nets wins against everything but depip squads could be considered the model of balance to aspire to.
-
It was fixed in one of the patches post charter and I got it. If it's stuck it got bugged again somehow.
-
Undetectable from any source will work. You just need to equip Beast of Prey, not necessarily proc it.
-
I genuinely don't care either way whether I'm the killer or the survivor in these situations.
If killer queues are good (which means survivors' are long and they had to wait for a hot minute), I generally try to play normally without farming, but also trying to not go too hard so they don't give up. Maybe let them escape the first chase, so they can get a headstart on the gens and build some hope. When I get my stacks I don't hook or down anymore, just do other stuff for points. Then I let'em go in the end.
Otherwise, I just try to end the trial quickly. It's an early 3v1, so it's a meaningless match.
Same as survivor. At that point I don't care too much. I just try to rack up some points, then I suicide when I'm on hook, unless I see there's a reasonable chance to make something happen.
-
It's not suitable for dbd gameplay. They should've gone for another location in the RE franchise. Splitting the map would help, but only a little.
-
I got it with the codes and I'm not uspset they're giving it away.
I'm upset they released it with limited codes first.
-
Deathslinger until the update goes live.
-
I can see potential for stalemates where survivors start the game by solving boxes (as logical) and once they realize the right one is bodyblocked they're left with no choice but not progressing the game or die/dooming their teammates.
Seems dangerously similar to the old hatch stand-off, or even to griefing by bodyblocking in a corner before egc start.
@MandyTalk @Peanits maybe put this in the feedback for the ptb.

The time gained using the toolbox is offset by having to wait in the locker to replenish the charges. They said they took toolboxes directly into consideration before buffing the perk and chose the number accordingly.
You would bring Built to Last with a toolbox only if you wanted to go full sabo. Other than that, streetwise is still better for gen duties.

Hello.
Would somebody help me with this achievement? I don't think I can get it in solo q. I would really appreciate any help.
Go to dbd's official discord and find a swf in the dedicated section. Tell them you want to go for the achievement. Chances are there are other people that want it and anybody who's looking to swf there are already ready to play, rather than trying to create a team here and make everybody's schedules match.

in what scenario? i have most definitely hit pallets over survivors and survivors over pallets before. this being mutation 2 and 3.
If you miss the survivor, it will still break the pallet. But if your aim is on the survivor on the first whip, it will prioritize the survivor. The flipside is that drag tech won't work in that case.

Then it's the survivors fault, why would you open the box so close to the Cenobite? The amount of amateur survivors in this game is baffling
That's not how the build works and it's been explained clearly. The killer gets a notification when the survivor picks up the box within 64m because of Hoarder and that's before trying to solve it. The range makes the notification essentially map wide barring fringe cases and the survivors cannot prevent it.
Your last comment kinda bites you back in the backside.
-
If you're in it for the chases and like chase builds, then just do it? You can have fun chases even if you lose (basically, the best solo survivors can aspire to).

You've been playing since the dark age of infinites, pallet vacuum, double pallets, og ds, no exhaustion, exhaustion going down while running, you long for those days and you're leaving because of the status of killer... of now? Ok. Best of luck, no sarcasm. Just puzzled.
