Reviving this thread. Nothing has changed since the last update, just CoH in every game.
Here Russian SWF.
META perks abuse + they chose the map.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FPPIXGXB9KPN/image.png
I would like to know how i'm supposed to win this ? I have played very well, didn't camp nor tunneled except when 2 gens were left.
Used my power efficiently, got many hooks, pretty much played optimally.
I have outplayed them in every loops fast enough and still it was impossible to get 3K. IMPOSSIBLE.
We've only your account of the facts and a screenshot that doesn't support most of it.
- You don't know your mmr, let alone if it's high.
- You got a 2k. Mmr-wise, it's working as intended, even if I hate mmr.
- They chose McMillan. They sent everybody to a fair realm. Your objection is unfounded.
- Doubtful they're a swf, there's probably a duo at best and two solos running bond.
- The only disgusting item is the toolbox. The rest are fine, unless you're saying that survivors aren't allowed to bring items.
- Hating on bt and ds in 2021. I can't really stand to engage in that conversation again, I'm being honest. I'll just tell you this. You said you camped and tunneled at gens left. They brought perks for it. If they wouldn't have and then they came in the forum complaining, my money says you would've told them exactly to use bt and ds and that camp/tunnel are legitimate strategies.
- Then apparently you have problems with Lithe? Saboteur?! Really? Not to mention that Adren, Iron Will and CoH are useless against Plague.
- You say you played optimally. Due, you're dedicating two slots for an exposed build on a Killer whose power is to make survivors broken. Optimal might not mean what you think it means.
- And you have 2 meta perks yourself.
-
They don't. There are fog whisperers on stretched.
-
It would be better to just fix totem vs survivors spawns, imo.
A 30 sec delay doesn't necessarily work in favor of the killer.
-
Yes. It's only been suggested for 5 years. So, we should receive it soonTM.
You can get it in dbd mobile off the bat, though. True story.

The problem is that if you end up tripping early in a chase, that's it, that's all the gameplay gone. You're immediately incapacitated and put on the hook.
Not through something you did, but just because you were deeply unlucky.
Just a heads-up, I suggest you consider ignoring that user. I was just commenting one of their threads and I just noticed they're on a roll, most likely trolling at this point.

then you probably shouldn't comment it's kinda foolish to go in uninformed.
I had already read and was writing while you were editing in the background. It's kinda foolish to go in expecting people to offer you twice their time and attention only because you don't use enough care when introducing a subject and then you need to go back to redo the whole thing.
-
You're overestimating my attention span.
-
Every time you experience something all over, it gets less scary. It's not due to noob totems.
-
It's only uncalled for when done at the exit gates/hatch to troll the killer.
Other than that, it's literally just a 4head wasting time off gens.
Be willing to embrace the former, in order to keep the latter.
-
It's dbd. Bugs are 'features'.
-
She has a lot of potential to snowball if one survivor screws the team by not knowing when and when not to cleanse. If they do know, she's just another Legion with some anti stealth.
I don't know if that's enough to make her S, or even A-tier material in your book. It doesn't in mine.
-
That'd make boons effectively more trash tier than no mither. Spend time to find and activate a perk that the killer can find with a beacon sound and turn in 2 sec into something that royally ######### you sideways.
I'll concede it was creative, though.

Interesting. So does this mean you think DS and BT and unbreakable should be removed from the game? Killers need to play around these perks even if nobody has them just like you are saying survivors shouldn't have to do. Survivors have 16 perks to play with while the killer only has 4. This is not a 1v1 game.
The issues with BT and DS are completely different from NOED and they're tied to flawed core game design.
You remove DS and BT and you obtain Deathgarden without sci-fi. You can look up Deathgarden's player count to see how that worked out.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Can confirm NOED does this if it lights up on a totem currently being blessed. The action will reset and will then have the longer bless time that hexes are intended to have. I'm not sure if this is an intended feature to ensure hexes take longer to bless, or if it should just then be slower from that point forward without resetting.
Interesting finding.
For the sake of the discussion, it's worth pointing out that, in contrast, if dulls turn into hexes while being cleansed (not blessed) the progress doesn't reset.

How would I know which player(s) to report out the 3 other survivors?
I really don't know why the video feature didn't work, as I often record games via PS4 no problem.
For some reason the recording only starts at the end of the match on the scoreboard with the player names; it didn't even record the grade result etc, really weird.
Usually, if you pay attention, the hacker themselves would do something that exposes them. Generally, speed hacking or self hooking. Or maybe infinite dead hard.
If you don't notice anything, you will just have to trust the system.
-
In theory, you're safe. However, there was a killer streamer who got banned because a hacker loaded into the match as a second killer. They posted the vod here. They later got unbanned, but it was tragic and hilarious.
When in doubt, record and always report, even if you can't get a video.
-
Woo in solo, dh in a coordinated swf.
-
It's a double purpose perk. A cover-all, if you wish. Cleanse totems, it works as slowdown. Don't do totems, it's a snowball. Miss even just one totem, now it does both. And unless the killer is the tutorial trapper, it guarantees a 2k minimum via facecamping.
However, it's a moot discussion. He-who-shall-not-be-named can't play without the perk. Which means it's not gonna be reworked, considering how those change decisions are made (Huntress' Lullaby says hi).
-
Why are you running prove thyself if you do gens by yourself?...
-
That video actually invalidates your reasoning.

I think they do.
I think every "meta perk" needs to be gutted and then we can look at the base game mechanics.
They won't look at base game mechanics because those are band-aided with perks. That's the design solution. Pay the perk tax, or accept the consequences.
-
@GoshJosh said:
I’m really confused what you’re asking. Are you essentially wanting damage be transferred from other survivors to the survivor covered by BT?
The wording wasn't clear to me either. But they're asking for the unhooked survivor to go down if they take a protection hit even while they have endurance.
-
Taking damage while under deep wound or taking a protection hit will put the survivor into the dying state
That would make the perk essentially void against campers, given how protection hits work.
-
@Powder_Kegs said:
The fun analogy here is the amount of time and electrical energy spent getting the single blood point is comparable with the amount of time and energy getting the Hellraiser NFT for a single image.
Where they diverge, instead, is that the 1 bp is actually worth something.
-
Bubba with bamboozle, all slowdown and double chili (optional). A chimp with head trauma could play that with one hand while high on medication.
For survivor, skeleton key with blood amber and extra duration, spine chill, sprint burst, buffed clairvoyance, self-care. Mmr neutral. True story.

There seems to be a disparity, I've just learned about, in the events on mobile vs everyone else. That's in addition to the daily log in rewards, ai in custom matches and something else I probably missed.
Mobile is a completely different team. That's the reason.

Beside the fact that BHVR has bigger fishes to fry with NFTs right now, there is merit to what OP says. The two issues are indeed related. Are they fixable? Maybe. Would they require a lot of work? Yes. Is BHVR willing to go through the hassle? Probably not (see point about NFTs).
As of now, both issues are band-aided with perks, one with slowdown/regression and the other one with BT+DS. The rest is left to RNGesus.

How?
I didn't really think of any way how to fix face camping, unless you also nerf proxy-camping, which I think should be a thing.
Problem is that sometimes it's just not your fault, when survivors go near hook.
It would require something pretty drastic, probably. Something along the lines of (and let's be clear, I'm not advocating that this should or shouldn't happen, I'm merely pointing out what it would entail imho, which also brings up the point of how deeply that would affect the game): remove hook grabs and make a no-interference zone around the hook where killer powers cannot reach. Not just disabled, the power shouldn't physically reach as in the Entity intervenes with tentacles or something. Basically, only M1s within a certain range of the hook. The concept is that it would be possible to try to force the 1 for one, but avoid situations where there would be a 1 for none in favor of the facecamper.
Throwing a projectile? The Entity despwans it. Spamming Doc shocks? The Entity says no, your shockwave stops here, no action interrupts for you. Are you zooming around with a high-mobility power? No no no, no running inside this circle.
And so on and so forth.
The funny thing is that unless it's a pretty wide radius, or the effect lingers for a bit under conditions TBD, Bubba could still camp almost as effectively. Hilarious.
An alternative would be the cage relocation mechanic of PH applied to hooks as well. But that could be easily circumvented by many killers. PH himself can already do it.

But five year ago they tried one thing and that didn't work so it's physically impossible to ever punish camping!
See point about band-aiding with perks. The perk tax is their solution. Now, when you run out of perk slots to fix core design flaws, that's when the issue sparks attention.
-
What's your ping as killer?

@GoshJosh said:
A really fun, balanced, and difficult to obtain function and achievement... gone.
Tbf, it didn't need to be changed. It would have simply been sufficient to make the hatch spawn only when there's one survivor left, or all gens are completed. I guess they went for the hard nerf because they didn't want multi escapes via hatch, period. Even though, I don't think that would've been broken.
-
Worst? Well, wait for NFTs and then we can review that statement.
-
Those were hacks, not bugs.

If everyone knew not to do it, why would they do it? And yes, you can read the situation with context. Or maybe I shouldn't say you specifically if you struggled with it, but that mind game was a joke. I never fell for it even as a new player. I could pretty readily tell if she was actually phasing or not based on the context of the situation. Maybe I am just a super genius?
Definitely a god amongst men. Not even debatable.

I wouldn't doubt it, they had to preserve the egos of survivors who walked straight at the killer without reading the situations SOMEHOW.
Everybody but rank 20s knew better than to walk toward the husk. It was well estabilished since a couple of months she had come out. And there was no reading the situation. She was designed to not give out that information. It had nothing to do with ego, which is a strawman argument.
-
No, it won't work.
Think of entiity blockers on gens as something that freezes them in time. Their state won't change until the blockers go away, e.g. no regression, no repairing, no damaging.
If the gen was regression when it got blocked, the process will resume upon unblocking.

To be fair, if she feels around the same, was there truly any point to nerfing her so that people that sucked with her couldn't play her anymore? Doubt they were the ones the nerf was directed at...
They nerfed the stand still 'mindgame'. That was the point and reading the dev's update, it's clear that's what they were eyeing.
As for the rest, directional audio is just similar to what she already had ages ago and then when she had bugged moans. It doesn't change her strength on 90% of tiles.

...No they didn't.
Here's screenshots of everything both companies have said about it (From DBD's Twitter and the FAQ from the folks making the HellRaiser NFT.) It's all at the bottom to not break up my text.
But if you read through their stuff, they didn't lie. All they stated was that they give license holders copies of the in-game models and some chapter keys while they work with them. That's not at all shocking. Both parties also state that NFTs will not grant you anything in-game that you cannot buy without the NFT, including the voicelines for Pinhead. (Per Boss Protocol's FAQ.) That also hasn't proven to be a lie.
When two companies collaborate on a project like this, they're going to be working together for months to ensure that the license holder is happy with the portrayal of the license. What this seems to mean for the HellRaiser chapter is that the license holders were holding BHVR to a certain standard with the models (As is expected.) BHVR met that standard, both parties were happy, and the license holders got the models and some chapter keys per the agreement. And if I had to guess, doing an endorsement tweet was just another part of the license agreement.
BHVR hasn't lied about anything so far regarding the NFTs. They've never formally stated that they would or wouldn't endorse them.
And we still don't know if this is just a one-time deal where they sold out/bought into an NFT in exchange for another license that they knew would be a major hit for them, and is one that has been requested for a long time, or if they're planning to do their own NFT's in the future. If it's the second one, then I'll be concerned. If it's the first one, then it's not that shocking of a business move, and more so would speak more about the license holders for HellRaiser than it does BHVR. (And don't get me wrong, I'm not that I'm endorsing BHVR agreeing to that as part of their license agreement. However, there's a big difference between them making assets they would have already had to make anyway for the game and giving them to the license holder and them actively going out and creating/selling/continuously buying/endorsing into other NFT-related things.)
So no, so far they haven't lied about anything. They've actually been quite honest with us about this, as far as I can tell. I can't get mad at them for the normal business practice of working with their license holder. I'm cool with people being mad about the whole NFT thing, as I think it helps ensure they won't pursue this in the future (As, like everyone else, I don't want that.) but we also shouldn't give them crap for things that are common business practice (Again, working with their license holder for said license is normal and a net positive thing.) or things that they just straight-up didn't do. (AKA, Lying about the NFT situation and thing surrounding it in the first place.)
EDIT: Thought I was smart by trying to put a spoiler warning above the images so my post wasn't so huge, but it didn't work, so I went ahead and removed it.

Do you have an editor to read that novel of yours? Because I ain't sure wasting my time on someone's wall of text trying to literally deny reality. If you get payed for shilling like that, make sure it's not in NFTs, because they're worthless.
Now off to the ignore list you go. Have a nice one. Bye. For good.

To answer your question: all the money they'll lose if they get nuked from Steam. That's about how much money is at stake.

I wouldn't say it's a 180. They just stated in their tweet that the things in-game you can recieve from the NFT and game codes and all that is something they gave the license holder as part of the contract agreement. They also stated there aren't any in-game bonuses for NFTs. They never fully stated they were for or against them, nor do we know the entire scope of the licensing agreement.
Not saying it isn't crappy that BHVR agreed to these terms in the first place, but I just wouldn't call this a 180 either.
They did lie. First, they said they handed out models and keys like they do for all licences and that was that for their involvement. Now, they're saying they actively collaborated on the NFT assets for months and they're endorsing the project.
As lie is a lie is a lie.

Thanks, I'll have a look! Cheers!

I gotta say, my expectations for BHVR were low, but holy #########.
Getting involved with NFscamTs, lying about it, doing a 180 in a matter of days, risking getting banned from steam a day before a new dlc and with an upcoming event. Pretty good job so far, frankly.
Anyway, on to more joyful and light subjects.
Uninstalling right now. Any suggestions for other games to play?

I'm glad I did it legit before the change & have the video for it too.
3 hooked teammates downstairs in end game on the game map with me by the exit gate.
Screw it I said ran back down & got us all out!
I didn't know a teammate had a key & I feel for the killer they must have been raging but nothing I ever do in this game will ever beat that moment for me!
I remember mine. It was soloq on old Ormond. I get a save in endgame against a Ghostface. We run to the exit gate and the killer understandably tries to tunnel. He forces the rescued survivor away from the opened gate... and accidentally toward the hatch. We were all trying to bodyblock and someone had plundered a key. The killer was trying to block the path to the exit gate by doubling back around debris and snow. We literally jumped into the hatch while he was still pulling off parkour stuff.
-
Stamina is typical of games where the survivors can outrun the killer.
It would be redundant in dbd where killers are faster than survivors, barring Nurse.
