The buff the devs gave to soloq is to be able to play with their friends. I know it's not what you would like, but if you want to get out of solo hell, it's faster to make some friends than for bhvr to do anything.

No, this is how it's meant to work. If the server detects a grab but the grab is not validated, the server makes the killer swing instead.
The problem is that by the time the server realises the grab is not validated, the swing doesn't do anything and the survivor is already out of range.
I know about the change. But maybe, just maybe, it's not working as intended. Let the devs know and figure it out instead of saying outright they lied when in this instance there's no evidence they did.
-
Or maybe they're bugged. And you could like... make a bug report? Mindblowing, I know.

The description means it's basic attacks. I did it with Wraith.

1. The pallet attack range exceeds the expected physical volume and has an additional hidden range
2. The interactive range of the falling pallet is farther than that of M1 and M2
You can even pull apart two positions and suck it back to hit the pallet

Thats not what he or she is saying. They're saying you can interact with pallets from further away than M1 and M2 and that you can use the ridiculous amount of range from the interaction limit to bug out chases. This range interaction limit might also be why we see so many unconfirmed hits during chases near pallets as well...compounding the problem on top of the hit check validation they added recently....basically....bringing back vacuum pallets but to a more extreme degree.
You know now that I think about it...I've seen this happen a lot and always wondered how my hit didn't go through even though I was past the pallet....end up teleported back behind the damn thing...
I never said one way or the other. So, I don't know why you guys are quoting me or copy-pastaing each other. I commented about flaws in the testing done in that video, not about anything else.

Yay one of his only usable add-ons!
Why would you even want to prevent survivors from wasting time on healing when you're playing Legion? The pins are just bloodweb clutter.
-
It's a completely unnecessary addon and it should go. Demon Dash is not overly complicated to nail down. Top knot as is is unnecessary, it simply made it equip-to-win with low effort.

One Add-On actually has a new Description, but the effect did not change yet:
Summoning Stone got some Numbers buffed, this is the Add-On which works like Blood Favor: 16 meters (was 12) and 15 seconds (was 6) are the new values.
So I guess this is at least one Buff and not only Nerfs. But you can expect Alchemist Ring to go and this rightfully.
Regarding Myers - I guess it is Tombstone Piece and Fragrant Tuft and we probably will see some Buffs or Changes to stuff like Movement Speed while stalking (which currently is you are going from super-slow to still way too slow) and maybe even Vanity Mirror.
@Topic:
Topknot gone would be absolutely right. I never used this Add-On on him because I think it is so imbalanced. And he does not need it either, he will still be one of the strongest Killers, even without Topknot.
I feel Fragrant Tuft will be made to give infinite only with Judith's, and increase the timer otherwise. They have to for the achievement.

I feel you on that 20 stun/blinds challenge. I keep facing the ranged type killers that refuse to break pallets. Heck, they refuse to even go near pallets.
Head On, DS, Blast Mine (gives both the stun and the blind) they all count. Iron Will is pretty good to ninja at pallets.
-
Good takes, let's see how they pan out.
For the part about boons applying to hexes as well, I'm skeptical. The killer would know by default where the boon would be, because they could see the location of their original hex. That would defeat the purpose, assuming killers can deactivate boons.

Just do what I did- accidentally leave your hatchets at home (double iri add-ons and throw one at the start of the game) and play M1ntress
I did exactly that, including the nick name. I had two megheads spamming notifications at the exit gate. Needless to say, they didn't know I had iri head. I figured that was a good moment to show them. I killed them both inside the exit gate; got a 4k.

The first clip shows the survivor dropping the pallet when Bubba is in his end sweep animation. There's no risk of being chainsawed regardless at that point. I'm not gonna say it works in one way or the other. But it wasn't tested properly to be meaningful.
The other clips aren't abnormal. The interaction area is intended and it exists for many interactable props on both sides. The Trapper clearly got stunned when the pallet was halfway down.
-
Nobody really knows but BHVR. And even if we could see our rating, we wouldn't if it's actually meaningful, seeing as we don't know how it's calculated.
It's just that players like to make a lot of assumptions about their own skills and their opponent skills.

There's been a surge, on both roles. Honestly, I've met more hackers in the last week than since I started playing in 2019.

OP: everyone was talking about it.
Everyone:

Swap Thana for Bamboozle and either Pop or Surge for Corrupt.

It's more like a tech. It's not that easy to exploit. Otz spend time to learn how to perform that kind of attack. And you need spend some time to master it and learn how to use it in certain scenarios.
For me it seems too hard to bother. I do fine with usual 90 degree turns.
It's not a tech because we know for a fact that the intended flick is capped at 90 degrees. It's been stated and fixed in the past. Keyword: intended.

Why not? its up to the devs to patch it out.
I'll try to explain the reason more clearly, in just 4 words:
FOG
WHISPERER
USING
EXPLOITS
-
Meanwhile, me not using add-ons because I'm a hoarder. Good time to be alive.
-
I'm gonna be honest, for as wholesome as Otz is, I don't think a fog whisperer should blatantly demonstrate on stream how to perform an evidently unintended feature, which amounts to an exploit. Especially, because he's not doing it for awareness purposes.
-
Yes, he can. It's just that everybody was too focused on Blight.

So far, you've posted three 4ks and a 2k.

I spoke about killer. you need to learn to read. And yes I am as valid of a source as you with your negativity. Good luck using cheats to play an online game, some people need atleast something in life I guess.
- Your ad hominem does nothing to prove your points.
- You failed to address killer pov because the advantage of stretches in 1st person view work differently.
- Thanks for caring about my life, but you shouls focus on yours. Cheers.

well its not promoting camping if a survivor would have been there, then its just proper hook defense.
Meanwhile, if no one was there, then why would the killer stay? they'd run off until Whispers turns on again.
It'd promote camping because it would remove its intrinsic risk. One would literally know 100% of the time with 100% certainty if the correct play is to leave or stay.
-
Needlessly complicated.

If used like I said it is 100% consistent because it litterly interacts only with it self in a different "realm" from all other objects. I have modding experience in skyrim and what I described would be pretty easy to do (in skyrim).
I understand your scepticism but you are not right this time. Good day
"It will be 100% consistent"
Source: you.
Also, you failed to address stretched when playing as killer.
We agree on one thing, though: good night.
-
We should totally ban people using detection based on a copycat of the most consistent and realiable mechanic in the game. It's gonna work 100%.

-
DS deactivation and healing/self-healing needs some tweaks. However, it's not a major issue. Also, in your case you simply misplayed, the problem wasn't DS not deactivating.
-
It would be a free license to camp or leave depending on proc.
Whispers is working well as intented.
Also, Spine Chill is not really comparable. Whispers has no counter other than being out of range and and a patrolling killer will simply deny that by virtue of higher speed and tracking cues.
-
They were talking about ptb blight and they weren't wrong. His original collision box was too large and got caught on everything. Also, originally nobody knew about exploits to bypass the turn rate cap.

Well, expectations are rarely, if ever, met. They already got rid of reverse pallet stuns and blocked locker flashlight saves. I expect those types of changes to continue in that direction despite Bwsted's kill rate.
True that. They also got rid of bullshit pallet hits, despite ThiccBuddha's kill rates, or lack thereof.
I'd say that the best expectation is to expect the unexpected.
-
Judging by my killer kill rates are high asf post sbmm. So, I wouldn't expect any balancing to go in the direction you expect.
-
Power Struggle has been butchered with current pallet changes. However, it doesn't need any fancy rework, as it's meant to be situational and high risk high reward. The only buff it needs is that if it triggers the pallet drop, then the killer gets always stunned. The end. I'm sure even BHVR would be capable of coding that.

@Junylar said:
Welcome to Elo Hell, my friend! Now you will only get potato teammates because of your low MMR, and your MMR will continue to drop because of potato teammates.
If escapes are heavily weighted in the algorythm, then we might genuinely have a elo hell design flaw for survivors, seeing as the game is killer-sided against less-than-competent survivors and even the best players have to rely on teammates.
So, yes, can't escape because of bad teammates, can't get better teammates because can't escape.
The only ways out of the hellhole would be to swf, or to take a key into every trial.
-
Corrupt. Although, it's not an exact comparison because I don't often play with DH or even feel the need to.
-
I learn spawns and look for crows and scratch marks from the middle of the map.
-
Plaything also reveals the aura of the totem to the affected survivor to prevent the perk from being overbearing. I don't see how you'd make it work for a perk that specifically applies blindness, unless you introduce white auras for totems.
-
Take DS. The likelihood of encountering another exhaustion perk is manifold higher, even if it might not be DH specifically. But they still get the job done.
Your chance of getting another perk that fulfills DS' purpose is zero, because there isn't one comparable.
-
At what time of the day do you play?
My experience is quite the opposite while playing morning/afternoon in EU. I've faced 4 or 5 decent teams and I got 1k/2ks. Other than that, difficulty was average (but not too challenging) or below and I 4k/3k'd with hatch in all of those. And that was definitely because of the quality of the survivors, not because I did anything special.
Overall, it's been noticeably easier than during rank-based matchmaking and also more boring.
Ironically, that's what's pushing me into becoming a survivor main, but for reasons completely opposite from yours. And queue times. That too.
-
It's outdated. It needs a rework or a meaningful downside.
-
Making the skill checks decrease in size always seemed as an odd choice, especially when the skill check was made large and unaffected by perks exactly to avoid accidental deaths.
It just seems like one of those things they added because they wanted to do too much for the sake of doing more without any other reasons.
-
This isn't X side complaining about Y side's meta or vice versa.
Except it is, considering you're only providing anecdotal hearsay and overgeneralized statements.

Can you explain what perks are heavily affected. I feel this will basically make survivors pick up premonition and spine chill changing the perk meta from Dead hard, DS, And BT. To a stealth meta
Sure. Open the link and scroll down to the Oblivious and Undetectable sections https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Status_HUD
As for your last observation, you're basically saying that the change would make the meta even more restricting.

Undetectable killers already ARE immune to Premonition. I don't think anyone actually uses that perk.
Technically, they aren't. The perk is bugged currently.
