I think they'll do something with the lullaby
Maybe disabling it entirely and giving the huntress a 24m terror radius or something

His opinion should be ignored because there's so much evidence proving that he has clear counterplay but yeah let's just choose to ignore all that. Let's ignore that blight is a normal m1 killer at loops and also ignore that his power gets countered by rocks and debris.
You probably could've just said that in the first place if you ask me.
If you wanted to just ignore their opinion anyway why bother responding to the thread in the first place?
-
DBD Mobile has it, don't see why the regular game can't?
-
The discussion is a bit of a dead horse right now considering it's fix is basically confirmed and will likely be imminent/upcoming
If the devs think he should have something added to compensate/something to his basekit, I'm confident he'll get it
However I'll also be the first to raise hell if by fixing it they somehow make him worse than he is right now in some other way.

Thats why i asked for gamepley first but since you're too scared to provide that, I asked for you to show me your rank. Rank barely means anything but if you show me that you're a yellow rank survivor then that's all I need to know that you're hot trash
Is it really healthy to discard people's opinions because "I don't like it and they won't show me a video of them playing"
I mean, if you disagree then just say why and move on

Im saying he is unfair, and top tier. He can be opressive but not nurse levels
Look at the responses. People tell the same exact counter-play for blight as spirit and nurse.
"Hide, lose line of dight, guess correctly"
Blight makes skill of survivors irrelevant if he's good.
But you can loop a blight on a lot of structures? In fact you can force a Blight into situations where he can't use his power in some places. Then he's just angry man with cane
Nurse and Spirit can just ignore loops, Blight can use his power to get hits in loops but his power doesn't automatically render tiles useless

His mobility paired with a lunge that makes no sense, lack of cooldown, and zoning rivaling deathslinger.
Not to mention (nearly)every blight uses ruin and tinkerer which makes a lack of diverse gameplay.
That makes sense, even if I think Blight is mostly fine - like I said his lunge is a bit misleading and hard to use perks like Dead Hard against sometimes.
The lack of cooldown, I actually disagree with because by default rush tokens regenerate in a couple of seconds but it's dependant on how many are used which I'm sure you're aware of. Even then, much like nurse - Blight is always forced into an injection animation after every rush regardless if he hits or not. That's balanced, if you ask me.
In terms of zoning, the fact you can use non-loop tiles against Blight's power (Like Junk clusters for example) means that he'll have to cancel his rush and chase normally until his tokens are back (Which, might net you enough time to make it to a better tile) means there is counterplay there.
When I face a Blight and I'm in the open, trying to get somewhere, I almost always think to myself: "When you hear him start rushing, find something to run around" and I'm not gonna say it's a 100% get out of jail free card but it's one of those things that's worth learning. You can't play against every killer the same, there's tactics and strats involved.

I have roughly 11 hours as blight. I get Hawkins and Yama maps or Badham more than anything else. So i dread playing him play every killer regularly, besides twins.
I do not believe blight is fair.
At least as long as maps can have rng as bad as mine do. 50\50 guesses, are not counters.
Better map rng isn't a counter. I lose to plenty of mediocre teams or killers because map design\pallet density or rarity. Blight benefits heavily from deadzones and i get tonnes.
Lastly i hate the "spin him" argument. His hitbox is absurd and i can play a tile perfect but a jflick into bs hit gets me on the other side of a window already in motion. Spinning his power is pointless as its a 50\50 he guesses correctly
I agree, map RNG can screw over any side at any time I think. Killer or Survivor.
I don't think it's anything to do with Blight himself. Bad map RNG for survivors would mean virtually all killers have a much easier time. The only killers who don't really care about map RNG are spirits and nurses for obvious reasons
Blight can be oppressive, but I'd like to ask you for a bit more clarification on specifically why you find him not as fun to face. Is it his mobility? Is it the perks people run on him?
I just wanna gain a better understanding of your POV because Blight's a character I've went from thinking was nothing more than filler to a genuinely good, well designed character
-
Blight is, for the most part a pretty balanced and well-rounded killer.
For me, a better way of understanding how to play against him is to try playing as him. You'll quickly realise what ways you can play around his power and understand his limitations. Of course, this is with the implication that most blight players are playing him the way he's intended with no exploits like stretched res or J-flick.
I've seen a blight streamer or two with that disgusting nintendo ds looking resolution and doing all that for an advantage is just silly, frankly.
His power's hitbox does seem a bit misleading at times, I can understand that frustration. His swing actually doesn't hit anything other than survivors which allows people to swing around objects with it.

People say this all the time and I'm still trying to figure out who these creators are...???
Naming and shaming isn't allowed. Not that I'd do it if It was allowed mind.
I just think some content creators are hypocrites and complain about the state of the game but they also contribute to the problem while also making a living doing it.
-
some of the big DBD content creators are hypocrites and they make a living off a game they supposedly hate so much
-
Pig is D/F tier in my opinion
-
Style over substance
That's what I think about the All-Kill chapter
-
Less focus on social media marketing (Aka twitter)
It's a pipe dream because people eat it up even though it's obnoxious.
-
Good to hear about some things in the works, a tiny bit more transparency is appreciated even if it's completely contradictory to what one of the balance members said (Something along the lines of, 'it's gonna take months for us to know if trickster is weak')
-
That's actually kind of the point of licesened chapters! In a weird way.
It's sorta like mutual advertising for both franchises, it usually benefits one more than the other but it's still a mutual agreement.
-
DBD's a very frustrating game at it's core unfortunately, it gets to everyone at one point or another. As much as I'm not a fan of Ayrun's content, getting death threats over something like that is really ridiculous. A bit of trash talk should be expected when you put your opinion on the internet but not to that extent
I feel if you don't take breaks with this game you will start to become jaded and resentful about it. It's most noticable in big content creators but I've been there myself, around the time Twins came out I was very disappointed with how the game was going and ended up stopping for a while.
I'm in a similiar spot now after All-kill.
-
Either when I'm one of two survivors left or when I'm not running anti-slugging perks
I almost never get slugged mid-match unless it's Oni/Twins.
-
Alternatively you let the one guy get downed and hooked because of noed then just leave
Know when to cut your losses.
I'd rather that then the killer manage to turn a 1k into a 3k/4k.
-
I wouldn't call it a scare, but I can tell you which killer grosses me out the most
Twins, more specifically the fleshy sound that plays when you unbind victor
I don't know what it is but it's really gross
-
Ironically the best counter to noed is to leave totems alone then go quickly check them when the last gen pops
Going around doing dulls is time off gens while your teammates are getting chased + increasing the likelyhood of noed being the last totem you can't find
-
There's a bug right now where killers simply do not get stunned by pallets, usually if they lunge
And the worst part is you still get hit, so you can drop a pallet early, the killer can lunge and still hit you.
-
I'm not playing until the pallet bug is fixed
It makes survivor really unbearable and playing killer just feels wrong
-
I actually think it's intentional since it only shows up when your screen is blurred
It's to show you where the center of your screen is so even though your camera is blurred you still have a general idea of where you are
-
The breakable walls make the school not so bad now (kinda) yeah it has safe pallets but once they're gone, it's now virtually a cornered deadzone.
The problem with Badham is the rest of the buildings and the loops surrounding them. The house of pain is also in this map and can be a god loop if the RNG gods demand it
-
Supposedly they're working on 'bigger things' for both keys and moris, they said this in a dev Q&A not too long ago.
-
My theory is they have somehow made Plunderers basekit (Or rather, the item rarities are plunderers by default)
No clue how they could've done this, but...
BHVR things.
-
Honestly if this is what they want maybe it'd better if they scrap the chat and just have 'quick-chats' like in Rocket League
Just have some pre-picked responses like "ggwp" "close match" and so on.
The lack of transparency about the filter is really worrying. I'm all for censoring racist stuff completely but censoring swearing on its own is kinda silly. I understand why they do it on the forums but in game it's a different thing
-

Why do you all need to open like 50+ threads about the J-Flick thing?
It's an exploit and it will be fixed.
The end.
I can't hold all these J-flick threads
-
Survivors don't have the double pip, only escape
Much fairer for killers if they can just 4k for it.

“Its an exploit so is stretched. Itll be removed mclean confirmed it.”
Of course it’s getting removed, of course it is. Quickly discovered, quickly removed.
Notice how in the same sentence we have another exploit that has been around a lot longer yet is given the green light by McLean and the rest of the developers?
Once again an exploit is perfectly fine as long as it’s on the survivor side. These people intentionally keep the killer experience ######### so that survivors have more fun dunking on them and buying cosmetics
I don't wanna call you out but you're blatantly wrong because
You know what the devs do when there's map specific bugs that greatly benefit survivors (Broken coliision on objects, spots where you can't hit them)
They disable those maps. Almost instantly.

Completely fair point although I think DS being nowhere near abuseable means less people will run it

With DS nerf and Object nerf incoming I'd say laurie has dropped to A. I'd put David up to S now after the WGLF buff
Sole survivor is still as useless as ever.

It doesn't cut down on anything. You just have to play against him the same way you would play against an oni with his power (which is super fun). Removing the J-Flick would completely kill him from being used in comp, blight without it is good but not against sentient survivors (without J-Flicks). If BHVR nerfs this like they did billy. I might actually quit the game. If they keep nerfing the killers that are balanced and fun for both sides I'm actually going to lose my mind.
Going against a killer using an exploit is not fun and balanced
I think it's absurd that people who are using the exploit can say they speak for survivor players
-
It doesn't matter if it has counterplay, because you're implying survivors are going to expect a blight player to exploit
Which is extremely unhealthy for the game.
-
The developers seem to generally have a rule that they don't make perks that interact with a killer's power in any techincal way. I believe they've had this philosophy since the original tinkerer
(For those who don't know, old tinkerer was basically a perk that enhanced the addons of certain charge addons by 15% which caused things like machine gun huntress and insta-saw billy)

I honestly could care less if they patched it tomorrow because I main a killer that can't abuse that, my issue is when I decide I feel like playing oni and just because my sensitivity is up I get called a cheater for winning when if I had lost I would've been told to git gud or some other bullshit in the chat
Ah well, yeah those people are always gonna exist in this game. It's unfortunate
You'll be called trash for winning or losing. It's a paradox.
-
I really hope the devs do not go down this route
I'm all for making the game more balanced obviously, but 'comp dbd' is really boring in my opinion.
-
"Blight has his turning restricted on purpose and people have found a way to get around it" - McLean
It's an exploit, there's no need for the mental gymnastics about it and there's no need to 'justify' yourself and act like the people who take issue with exploiters are targetting you personally or something.
Until the devs say people are being banned for doing it, the only reason people have to make threads like this is because they don't want an exploit patched
-
The only killers I think spine chill is a must when facing: Ghost Face and Spirit
All of the other stealth killers are easy to spot and/or have really loud ques like Wraith's stomping and snarling
-
For me it's the combination of simplicity and the mobility
You run from place to place, find people, uncloak and chase. Rinse and repeat
I play Wraith when I just want to have a chill game.
-
There's def. something wrong
I've pulled purple keys out of my first chest search without Plunderers at least 3 times on 3 different occasions in the same week.
Can't be a coincidence
(If you want my guess, SOMEHOW they've made plunderers basekit. How they would manage that is beyond me.)
-
The way I see it, the survivor techs are usually caused by technicalities of the way certain mechanics work. The most widely known cjtech only works because killers can't break a pallet a survivor is currently vaulting, so when they press space bar it makes them pick up the survivor instead.
The heal tech also works in a similiar fashion - killers can't pick up someone who's being healed on the floor.
The dumb 'tech' isn't even a tech really. Vaulting into the killer then vaulting back or using Lithe to run away is something basically anyone can do at any time. There's nothing to it.
I've heard window teching is harder to do or bugged so I'm not sure about that one

Who are these great Blight players who manage just fine without J-flicking?
You missed the point but okay
I'm saying you don't need an exploit to play Blight well and claiming he's only balanced if you exploit is an insult to people who play him the way he's intended to be played
-
@MadLordJack said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2070380#Comment_2070380
if you're good at Blight, J-flicking is extremely simple and easy. And it's still, by definition, and exploit with no counterplay.
You talk about not wanting to go agasint Spirits and Freddy's? A a j-flicking Blight is in the same catagory.
Yeah it's actually kinda silly that this thread says j-flicking is balanced
Then says it puts Blight on the same tier as Nurse and Spirit, two killers who's powers break the game in one way or another.

Like i said.
Go play blight with High Dpi. see how "Easy" People claim it to be.
I'll wait,
I didn't say it was easy, either. All I said was it being tricky to do doesn't make it okay
I play Blight the way he was intended and he's fine.

Apparently Changing Dpi is a exploit...
High Sensitivity is now a bannable offense,
Killers are now strict to 50% Sensitivity whereas survivor can keep touching their sensitivity,
...And stretch Res..
And Window Tech...
And many other survivor things..
Man nobody's saying playing with high DPI is the exploit
The exploit is using High DPI let's you bypass a restriction put in place on purpose by the devs.
