The point of DLC's is to be marketing schemes, I don't see what the problem is. If you don't like him, then don't buy him.
The quality of the DLCs has only gotten worse and people need to speak up about it.
It's going to take months before Trickster is where he needs to be

Hitting a direct bottle is one of the most satisfying things in this game.
-
I'll be shocked if this isn't a winner/in the runners up
Excellent work
-
There's already so little variety for survivors when it comes to perks
People would figure out whichever 'passive' would be the best overall and then most people would just play that survivor.
pls no

Friendship ended with Dead Hard
Now Sprint Burst is my best friend.
Although it's interesting because most people still run DH since SB is harder to use

The thing is, there's one major difference between SWF on comms and Blight's flick:
One's been expressly approved and supported by the devs (SWF on comms), whilst one has been expressly confirmed as unintended and unsupported.
https://www.twitch.tv/mclean_bhvr/clip/AmorphousFaithfulKleeTheTarFu-jPzbiLNS-Dku-899
It's similar to the Pyramid Head exploit; unsupported, unintended, and expressly condemned:
https://www.twitch.tv/mclean_bhvr/clip/SpookyPeppyTarsierThunBeast-7rDoj_6XXge-6uJe
(basically saying don't use exploits)
I really hope they fix this pyramid head exploit
Had the displeasure of facing a few who exploited the hell out of it and it was not fun

Nurse, Spirit and Hag play the game by different rules than the normal killers

Do you have any reason at the moment? Considering the trails can't go near objectives, don't last very long, are highly visible and can only be placed behind you, where survivors aren't likely to be.
Put trails in loops, ideally mid chase. That's what it's there for
Say a survivor is running you around a generic junk loop, you put some trail at the pallet. Survivor has to now either run away and risk getting hit or keep looping and be tormented (Which isn't even safe either because PH can bait pallet drops and punish them with his ranged attack)

Yeah my idea is a blight skin where he experimented on himslef using the powers of other killers so he is all mutated with like part of his arm being blue with shards of glass from spirit then another part having like electricity under his skin from like doctor
Considering some of Blights addons are things from other killers/parts of dbd lore (One of his addons is quite literally Plague's bile) it's not out of the question.
I say be creative and try to actualise your idea, I'm sure the end result will be worth it even if it's not picked in the end.
-
Here's a cool one
Dance with me + Deception
Vault a window, lose your scratch marks then run past a locker and extend the loss of scratch marks by another 3 seconds, giving you a total of 6 seconds without scratch marks
Situational but fun to mess around with
-
Mathieu Cote (The game director) said semi-recently that all the killers are seperated and don't necessarily interact
There's one exception however - that being Legion. Mcote said the Legion are all together when not in a trial
Although the fact that the whole blighted cosmetics thing exists is proof that this isn't like 100% set in stone, so I wouldn't let it limit your creativity.

I used cruel limits on that game cuz yknow A D E P T, there are plenty of windows, heck the silo tower window is disgusting if you just constantly use it
I think that's actually the only 'good' window on the map
Sometimes there's an indoor long-wall jungle gym but yeah. The rest of the windows are kinda awful and unsafe as hell. The freezer window is kinda strong but killers can go around to it now
-
I have a feeling they 'buffed' the pallet count due to the map's kill rate.
The last time we had stats about 'The Game' it was marked as the 2nd deadliest map in the game with a 66.57% kill rate. (The stats are from a while ago, though)
This is just speculation but it's the only logical explanation I can think of.
-
There's no cap. You can get as many as you want
I've seen people with like 100k shards
-
I'm surprised nobody mentioned Bubba here
If you have 3 gens all close and the survivors have exhausted their resources (mainly pallets) then they are going down extremely quickly and giving you more pressure

The Steam Beta Branch just recieved an update that says:
Game Overlay
Fixed a regression in the yesterday's update that caused mouse sensitivity in multiple games to be impacted by opening and closing the overlay
Not sure if this is for main steam branch as well but, yeah!
-
Is there an option to play dbd on another platform apart from steam so i don't get penalties when steam takes their platform down every tuesday.
-
Every single tuesday around this time, steam goes down for 'maintenance' which affects dbd
I really wish they would disable DC penalties on tuesdays. Just to circumvent this.

Good question! I would be happy to answer!
I would state that a tech is a unintended feature which adds complexity, depth, a level of skill to a game. Now, I understand that some people wouldn't call J-Flicks a tech, but I disagree. The reasons that I stated in the post are a good foundation to my reasoning: Counterplay, Increased Skill Ceiling for players, and increased depth to character or play. The J-flick checks these boxes, while also staying outside the region of being completely busted.
The J-flick does have counterplay, and blight creates a unique and exhilarating chase. It takes a larger mental capacity than a M1 killer but is more fair to both sides than a nurse or spirit (spirits often have more tools to find you than you do to find them). Blight doesn't turn invisible, or teleport through walls.
I don't think that the use of tools outside of the game make something an 'exploit' inherently. There are many examples of exploits which don't require tools (such as crawling under hooks) which are much more game impacting than someone using a struggle macro by use of a turbo button on a third party controller.
It's possible that tech is not the exact word I'm looking for, but bugs have often been called features by developers, and that is what I am hoping will be the case with the J-Flick. We don't know everything about it yet, and it's possible that in the future people will figure out a way to do it more consistently on console (It's possible, but it requires the game to lag and is not consistently reproduceable)
Did that help?
While I completely understand your reasoning and I commend your ability to put your thoughts into words very well, I have to say I am not thrilled at the concept of having to mess with things like DPI/Macros and so on just so unlock a higher skill ceiling on a particular killer. I think of this as the same thing some people do with Spirit where they use really stupid things like Spacial sound (Which makes the game sound horrible) or presumably other ways of manipulating their sound for an advantage. (And this isn't explicity killers who do this, survivors have had a laundry list of similiar things like stretched res and so on)
I think it's unfair and quite an unhealthy thing to have.
It's not the same as say - rebinding the move left/move right command to Q/E for certain killers like Billy, Oni and even Blight because that's really simple and isn't intrusive.
-
What do you think the difference between a 'tech' and an 'exploit' is? I'm genuinely curious because some of the so-called techs of the past were actually exploits
Like the going behind a hooked survivor 'tech' (exploit) which various youtubers popularised despite it being frustrating, completely unintended and an unfair advantage
Whereas things like the 'CJtech' are actually based on technicalities in the game. In this case, the technicality that a killer can't break a pallet that a survivor is currently vaulting thus not an exploit
-
I really hope the delay was because of the pretty mixed reception and overall negative view of the killer's power and strength. Hope is the key word, because there's some optimism that we will see genuine changes to the killer's power. (Unfortunately, this isn't likely to be the case.)
The theme and design is whatever, but for there to be a 'delay' (In a sense, there was no official release date but they are deviated from how they usually do things) means there must be a significant issue of some kind that couldn't be solved on time.

Thanks for responding to the thread, It's a big relief!
Hope to have more news about it soon

Here how it is first couple of games (usual DPI):
And here after it bugged out (you can clearly see how i place my mouse back when running out of space cause DPI is so low):
Also i think is worth mentioning that it never doing that mid match. Only as you load in a next one.
100% exactly how it is for me too.
-
While I think this is specifically just a meme I do wonder
Why did they specifically pick legion out of all the killers that have fatigues/cooldowns and so on
🤔
-
Green Medkit should be in really strong
Also a brown medkit isn't that bad... :(
-
I saw this one blight streamer who looks like they are playing on a nintendo DS
Imagine playing a video game and making it look ugly as sin just for the slightest advantage
-
Not healing is one of the strongest things survivors can do against most killers
-
This perk basically makes Mad Grit even more useless (If that was even possible). It's what mad grit SHOULD'VE been.
If people wanna stop bodyblocking, they're gonna take starstruck, nobody and I mean NOBODY will bodyblock a killer who can insta-down them.
I hope mad grit gets a rework at some point to give it more utility because it's been power creeped
-
What's weird is this issue has only just recently cropped up and there hasn't been any hotfixes or major updates recently
I've also been having this issue and it is extremely irritating. I hope someone looks into it ASAP
-
- Macmillan is pretty good, all the maps are pretty balanced. Shelter woods needs a better structure in the middle though
- Badham is still awful. So many safe pallets, big loopable structures and the gens are sometimes in different countries. They made the 'House of pain' tile even worse due to breakable walls.
- Autohaven is actually good now, no complaints from me. Gas heaven needs a change to the massive wall of cars but that's it
- Gideon they somehow made twice as worse as it was before. More safe pallets, dumb breakable walls and dead ends
- Ormond is much better. Still quite large, but nowhere near as many safe pallets. They also added back the snow mobile thing and made the main building a bit weaker which is a plus.
-
That could be hit validation doing it's thing
Hit validation was introduced to deal with the issue of VPNers/People with high ping having advantages
-
@GoodBoyKaru This thread is for you I think
-
99ing people is quite literally the only thing that makes stalking as GF viable though, it allows him to avoid his biggest weakness (being pallet looped because he has nothing else to help him in chase)
Remove it and ghost face becomes m1 man without terror radius
-
'Too close for comfort'
- If you break Deathslingers chain when you're quite close to him
'Unexpected Arrival'
- Hitting someone very quickly after leaving a demo portal
'Lethal Rush Dodge'
- Dodging a Lethal Rush
'Release'
- Opening an exit gate after the Endgame collapse has started/You're the last survivor alive
-
If you ever have insomnia, just play against this build
Guaranteed to put you to sleep the second the 8 debuff icons appear

Because if Nurse was released today, her post-blink attack wouldn't be a basic attack. Same as Spirit, same as Wraith, same as Hag.
Didn't they do a huge pass where they went through and made it so all "special attacks" didn't apply things like sloppy etc
I don't know why Nurse was the only one who this wasn't applied to
-
Those times where you're looking for a survivor somewhere then all of a sudden a pallet is just dropped on you when you round a corner or something like that
-
The only real benefit you'll see is from things like skill checks I think
Nothing to really write home about
-
Why is Nurse's m1 attack after blinking counted as an M1 but not Blights lethal rush?
Aren't they virtually the same concept just executed slightly differently
-
Kinda against the concept now after I've given it more thought
The intention behind the idea is solid. Good players vs good players, less experienced players have the breathing room they need instead of getting stomped
But DBD just isn't balanced for this kind of matchmaking. There's no incentive to want to actually get better if you know what awaits you is constant nurse/spirits or full on coordinated swf teams.
I'm trying not to be ignorant or cynical about it, I doubt it'll be that bad I just hope DBD stays as what it mostly is - a fun party game
-
Just wanna say that I slug.
It's effective, it buys you so much needed time and it keeps survivors busy
But it's also really bloody annoying, that's why unbreakable is meta
-
The survivors were good, the ace and meg especially.
However I wanna point out something about this match that bothers me a bit:
- Tru3 made a couple of misplays that could've netted him easy hits/downs. When he whiffed at the ace after dropping down, that mistake alone allowed the ace to make it to the pallet. Even with DH I'm pretty sure tru3 could've downed him before he made it to the pallet
- Losing the Downed Quentin. Could've got him out of the game which might've helped turn the tides. Not his fault due to sound bug (?)
- He talked about 'wasted pallets' but I don't think he realised there was a survivor who went around resetting good pallets that weren't broken, more specifically that one car loop pallet. It was dropped THREE TIMES. The ambulance pallet as well
- He was sent to Badham. (Notoriously bad for killer & not his fault)
- Latency screwed him out of several hits from the look of it, this is why docs always run the discipline addons
- He's using a meme addon (not his fault, viewer build request)

So go find an alarm clock. A team mate to wake you up. Or purposely fail a skill check to wake up. Lord forbid survivors have to do ANYTHING but slam a gen.
Red Paint Brush and Purple Swing chains (You know the one that still punishes you if you're awake) would like to know your location

When you fall asleep in a match and you see about eight debuff icons so you fall asleep irl

yes it's a test of the system right now
Do you know if there will be any official posts about it like a forum banner/twitter post?
I feel like it might be a great idea if that's not the plan
