I just like doubling my objective points because sometimes maxing it out is hard if I'm getting chased frequently
Having 8k objective in the bag by the time of the 2nd gen is great with WGLF

Blight seems to attract people who aren't sweaty, but can stomp anyways because they're just that good.
Hag, Doc, and stealth Killers seem to be played by the sweatiest people.
Pig attracts people with a full-on superiority complex. They think they're better than everyone else, will sweat so hard the Survivors' monitors will fog up, and will teabag taunt nearly every time they get a down of any kind.
No wonder she's mained by a certain developer.
What you just said about Pig is honestly so true from my experience.
I've seen some streamers who main pig and if they aren't constantly berating their opponents, they're complaining that they lost because they're playing pig
-
I'd rather my teammate get the hatch then me, usually because I probably played like ass anyway
I'll hold on if all gens are done and an exit gate is open though
-
Depends how the match goes really, if four bps were burned typically I'm not in a hurry to end the match quickly if it's going my way. E.g if I catch someone dead on hook and there's still like 3/4 gens left, I'll slug them and let them have more of a chance to get more points while I go after the people who aren't dead yet.
I don't know if survivors would do the reverse but that's why I still try to win in the end, let the last guy go usually
-
I think what people miss is the addons
aka insta-saw and/or crack billy (Charge addon + Movement speed)
Can't say I miss them, they were extremely boring to face in my personal opinion.
-
Honestly I am okay with this
Not everyone has the time to complete the rifts and not everybody cares about the challenges, having the option to buy those cosmetics (VERY) later down the line is okay
I just hope they aren't using this as an excuse to skimp on actual new content and are instead recycling old content. I've seen them recycling dbd mobile skins into the game for rifts and that's kinda sad
-
It's weird because I enjoy playing him and I've even started not using addons (so no rat liver) but I only really use half of his kit most of the time
I prefer to just keep the pressure on survivors with STBFL and Infectious rather than setting down and using portals. Shred is so fun to use, I hate breaking the momentum by using portals
-
Nowhere near as I used to, that's for sure
I hated old billy
-
Blight will only just be in the spot he should've been in on release
It took so long for the POV to be fixed even though it was so glaring

I agree that the twins was an interesting concept and the power was an interesting idea, I'm mainly looking at it in terms of execution. I don't find blight fun to play at all for example, Trickster for all his weaknesses, was actually quite fun to play as.
You make a solid point, I used to think Blight was awful but then I tried him and I've come to really enjoy him. It could be the same with Trickster, if his power is improved upon, right now I'm just not seeing it that's all
The perk changes are welcome too, seeing a potentially new survivor meta perk and some pretty powerful killer perks for a change

How do you know?
Oh, I didn't mean to say that with certainty. I apologise if you got that impression
I said probably judging from the content Tru3 puts out, his views on the game and from my experience with his streams, as well as the comments section on his videos and so on.

I wouldn't say I'm excited for anything until they fix the poor job they have been doing with map reworks but I feel more interested in Trickster than I did Twins who I didn't buy. Also the blight dlc, I shamefully bought it just for Unyding, I'd take Trickster over Blight anyday he was far more fun to use and his power much more interesting.
So really it's all opinion. Trickster is sadly the most interesting killer since PH, if you ignore PH then Trickster is the most interesting killer since Oni. Last year was a real dud in terms of interesting killers aside from PH who somehow ended up being one of their very best.
I respect your opinion but I judge killers based on their powers for the most part so I have to disagree with the sentiment that Trickster is the most interesting. I'm sure that's not the same for you so I respect your point of view
I would argue Twins is the most interesting since PH in terms of power design. Trickster is just recycling of previous ideas already done (and done better, too)

ppl are saying that this is the case due to being tru3's community, but they are not really in the wrong, who cares for this new killer honestly ?
They need the twitter marketing to generate hype, where was this level of social media marketing for Blight? Twins?

Uhm, you basically just made my point. Why are we talking about one of the slowest learning content creators when we have Scott or Otz who are not only mechanically way better but also have much more game knowledge objectively speaking? Do you remember how long it took tru3 to understand the friggin legion or plague powers? That was the last time when I watched his PTB videos before stopping entirely.
I... Didn't prove your point?
Nowhere did I comment on tru3 being slow to learn, I said his community is probably primarily composed of killer mains or people who play both sides, maybe leaning more towards killer which still shows something about the reception of Trickster
Also, the only positive feedback I'm seeing about trickster his his appearance and lore. Not speaking on behalf of anyone but Scott's made multiple videos saying Trickster is bad and Otz said he seems underpowered
-
@Yumyumtasty said:
An echochamber voting on something is basically worthless, it's like asking about Voterfraud (which literally cannot exist) within the extreme fringes of rightwing twitter accounts,
Call tru3s community an echo chamber if you want but there's no disputing the fact that his community are probably primarily killer players and killer mains
Kinda says a lot on its own if you ask me.
-
Any killer? Haddonfield and Cowshed
Specific killers? Lery's as Blight. It's so bad
-
That's not braindead at all though
The killer needs to actually win chases and hook survivors for either of those perks to do anything
You could argue ruin + undying is braindead (Especially pre-nerf) because all you need to do in order for ruin to work is walk to a gen. I'm not saying I agree with that either, but it's an argument you could make
-
Oni or Pyramid Head 100%
Demogorgon stands a pretty good chance too, I know he's kinda weak in the show though
-
They really want people to buy this one too, judging from the marketing
shame innit

How I would change it based on my opinions:
- Hag is the lowest in the S-tier
- Deathslinger is low in the B tier
- Blight is behind Oni
- Huntress is slightly better than Deathslinger in the B-tier
- Bubba is swapped with Hillbilly
- Plague is at the top of C-tier
- Wraith is behind Plague
- Myers and GF swap spots
- Clown is lowest B-tier
- Legion is behind Trickster
- Trapper is at the top of D-tier
Final result:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YMS7CPPRCVSX/my-image-282-29.png
Curious, what makes you think Legion is worse than Trickster and Trapper?
-
Def something he needs
People really aren't utilizing the yellow bottles as much as they could and part of me thinks it's because it's quite clunky swapping
Making the swap button the same as the reload one is also a bit annoying
-

Mhmm... that just means he's an M1 Killer then, which isn't good. Maybe he could be C, but nothing higher.
Wraith is also a basic M1 killer when he's able to hit survivors, if we're talking about current wraith then I say he's much weaker than legion. The upcoming buffed wraith, now that is going to be a power increase for sure
Also I'd swap Bubba and Hillbilly around, Bubba is far more oppressive for survivors these days
-
@MadLordJack said:
Yeah, I see it. I'd say Legion is a lot better than clown, pig, trapper, etc. The maps have been reworked to be much more m1 killer friendly and they have some nasty builds as well as the ability to chose who to chase and where, whilst stripping away a health state for free.
That's not to mention he also has some of the best anti-stealth in the game.
-
Hmm
IMO Legion isn't D tier. His power might not help him in a chase, but it helps SHORTEN chases by keeping everyone injured and more importantly QUICKLY injured. Experienced (And confident) survivors will forgo healing altogether which makes them easier targets while some survivors will heal and waste time (On top of the mending timers)
A good legion is oppressive as hell to go against.

I'd like Open Handed to let me share my aura reading abilities with others, not just enhance other survivors' aura-reading ranges (especially if they don't have aura reading abilities equipped).
----
Open Handed: Strengthens the potential of you and your team's aura reading abilities.
- For every other survivor within an 8 meter range, increase your aura reading range by 8 meters.
- Survivors within 8 meters of you can see any aura visible to you. Once out of range, this effect persists for 15 seconds.
----
This would be great for my detective journalist/reporter build for Zarina.
Open Handed, plus Visionary, Bond, and Windows of Opportunity
When you run an aura spam build and your teammates screens are flooded with yellow and red auras
That would be so funny omg
-
Dunno from my recent experience it doesn't seem too echochamber-like to me
I had some neat discussion about infectious fright and nerfing it, same with nerfing freddy yesterday
If you could provide some examples of what you're talking about, I'd like to better understand where you're coming from
-
Reminds me of the time Gearhead was nerfed
And we were never told why
-
No, the killer can get up there too
It's not an exploit, it's a common thing

Definetely the worst remix i've read/heard so far
A 'Demix' if you will.
-
I still believe they're doing all the social media stuff (the formatting, the constant retweeting of fan-art of trickster) purely for marketing because they're not confident in the actual killer and their power itself to sell the chapter
There's been no transparency about any of the feedback given about the killer's awful power. It's very disheartening

Actually it's the Trick Blade add-on that they changed, and they removed the part where after a ricochet it would deal bonus damage. Now they ricochet twice but don't get the 100% bonus laceration damage, instead granting more bp. You can still down people
It's disappointing that they haven't actually changed his power
I was expecting a bit more.
-
Wait until the POV fix then try him out I say
Might make it more bearable

no it seems like they nerfed it, they changed the tricksters add-ons to basically be the equivalent of the padded jaws(a brown add-on) for trapper where you get bonus points for trapping a survivor in one BUT it does no damage to them when they get out. Basically instead of the buff that a lot of people wanted for the killer BHVR said nah.
Oh my.
This is most disappointing.
-
I don't get it, did they buff his blades or not
The wording is really bad

Wait, he can ignore BT? Like, the perk is useless against him?
BT works off of TR
When you are asleep, freddy has no TR because you're oblivious
So yup, BT doesn't work unless you wake up
-
The dbd twitter needs to stop replying to people like this........
-
Pretty sure that's Ormond?

That would still give him free power up, though it would make the options for dealing with it a lot more manageable for Survivors. It's kind of an even trade off, so it's be worth considering. A few Freddy mains could weigh in with opinions on which they'd prefer.
It would also help with the oblivious camping problem because if survivors could wake up more easily then they will sort-of have more ways to be able to utilize BT
Although a determined camping freddy will just hit people going for the unhook, disabling their BT the second they are put to sleep which is still a problem
-
@StibbityStabbity said:
Personally, I'd like to see the sleep timer removed so he is required to hit a Survivor to put them to sleep. I think that single change would fix him up really well. Everything else can stay, do a normal pass on his add-ons, but make him work a bit for his power. It'd be a small but substantial change to his play style that I believe most people would be fine with.
Alternatively they could make it so you can use any clock to wake up/remove the stacking penalty from other survivors waking you up?
Making it easier to wake up might go a long way in making him a bit more balanced but maybe that's not what he needs.

To be fair, I think that was only one dev who usually doesn’t tweet those kind of hints and it was overanalyzed by the community. (Including me)
I think it was two - Mcote and one other, I forget his name (forgive me)

I mean yes, just as much as the people who mori streamers should.
She literally called him a dumbass, idiot and was incredibly taunting. As well as teabag. Instead of acknowledging that hey it's not very nice, she don't care. Even when said to her that some people might look up to her as a content creator.
Also nice tweet :)
See this is the most ironic thing about the DBD community
People will say they hate toxicity and dislike it when people (survivors or killers) do xyz
The second that person is a 'streamer' and has a platform, all of a sudden 'it's just funny content bro! lighten up' when you know for a fact they probably complain about people doing toxic stuff to them, be it in dbd or in other corners of the internet
-
Send yourself to a good map
Dead Dawg Saloon or Hawkins are good choices. There's others as well
-
The only thing that worries me about Freddy changes is a comment from Ethan/Almo on the subject. I believe he said something along the lines of "Freddy is too strong, but we're not sure in what area/how".
Maybe what needs changing is more subjective but if you ask me it's how he can camp people to death and ignore BT because of oblivious
-
Mikey or Mackle
-
Classic misdirection
They had tweets with bees/sweets to tease candyman when it was actually pyramid head.
Same thing this year 100%
-
Haha guys I'm only ironically toxic it's alright
-
Try playing blight on Lery's
Short man with machete more like

Problem is we don't know we are facing a bunch of casual solo's or an competitive swf squad.
Early game is the part where killers are at their weakest and going easy there will ensure a loss against the good survivors.
That the occational stompfest happens against solo's sucks but this game is all about momentum and letting the foot of the gaspedal against good survivors is asking to lose.
You can't really ask killers to take that risk. Especially seeing how the counterplay of splitting up is something you should be doing at the start anyway.
I understand the argument of 'split up' but people are forced to group up when slugging on that scale occurs because unless they have unbreakable (Or soul guard I guess) it's literally impossible for them to get up
And yeah I'm not saying killers should go easy or anything like that, I just don't think everyone being slugged to death in the first minute of the game is healthy (And vice versa I don't agree the game being basically over after 1 chase is healthy either, just wanted to put that out there)
-
Actually a really well made concept. Love it
If BHVR ever does another 'design a cosmetic' contest, enter this please!

Well I was just going by the stats that everyone sticks by to say (x killer) is op.
But really yeah nurses slug at 5 gens because Nurse attracts the sweatiest of tryhards. Having said that the denate about hooks vs kills is all the rage right now. Theres a reason why killers are resorting to slug and 1 hook and that reason is because its literally impossible to hook everyone and win the game against good survivors. You cant do chase - hook, chase - hook, chase - hook. No matter how short the chases are the gens still get done
Oh sure, I'm not saying it's not an effective strat. I know why people do it
But that doesn't mean it's healthy for the game or actually fun to be apart of. The worst part is Infectious Fright is only really effective on the already powerful killers that can win 'normally' anyway (If played well of course).
A good Nurse or Oni doesn't need to slug everyone to death at 5 gens but people do it anyway, for whatever reason that may be. Facing that kind of player in solo Q is one of the few times I wouldn't blame someone for DCing.
