I'm at the point where I have to bring it, the SWF's that I get put up more than a fair fight and it's either slow them down by force, or watch 5 gens disappear in 4:30. It's obviously overkill for when MMR tells me I should play against a potato.
Oh yeah no judgement for using it obviously, perks are there to be used
It's just one of those builds where if you go against it you feel the pain.
Also super rare sight not a single DH in that lobby
-
Bringing a cake then DCing is the ultimate self destruction move. Like wth you just wasted a limited offering
ngl though your build is pretty mean, damn
-
If you're ever curious why Feng gets so many rift cosmetics/cosmetics in general there's your answer
She brings BHVR the big bucks
-
Floods of rage is an amazing choice on him as well
Would recommend

Playing what's supposed to be a 'horror' game to relax sounds weird when you say it out loud
You're right though sometimes dbd is way more stressful/frustrating than it should be
Good luck with your studies!

This isn't a bug
Blight's lethal rush swing can break pallets
What you're thinking of is the ultra rare addon that breaks pallets when Blight simply runs into them
They're not the same, the addon makes it so he doesn't need to swing - he can just bump into the pallet for a very short stun.
-
Jake, Yui, Haddie
Jake because he's got actual survival experience, being a loner who lived by himself
Haddie because according to her lore she has psychic powers of some kind/experience dealing with the supernatural
And I think generally Yui isn't a stranger to dangerous situations considering her line of work and the assault she went through. There's also something unique about her tome - it talks about a Nightmare she had about being chased by Oni or something like that
Which is interesting

What you talking about a key saved my bum from being a main course of Killers a few times
They went from being an item that killers feared due to them being broken to "oh my 4ks a 3k now, alright."
It was a good change but a very lazy one. Nobody actively brings them into matches like they used to either
They are good for clutch endgame escapes if you manage to get lucky but yeah.

I heard they got nerfed but I didn’t know how far. Are we talking Ruin nerf or are we talking Legion 2020 nerf?
It's more so they just made it so the hatch only spawns for the last survivor
Before the hatch would spawn if all gens were done regardless/it would spawn earlier the less survivors were alive leading to sometimes 2/3 man escapes with keys without all gens being done.
I'm glad they got nerfed into the ground but they are essentially dead items these days. Nobody uses them except for aura reading gimmicks.
For the best though.

Okay, I was just making sure because I either don’t give them a chance to get a Hatch or they steam roll me with meta builds. So testing wasn’t a option
I think you can grab a survivor trying to open the hatch with a key though
hard to test because keys are useless now
-
Some have a private profile because they are cheating
I have a private profile because people get mad that they can't leave their meaningless -rep comments on it.
We are not the same.
-
They made it so killer can close hatch but removed hatch grabs bc hatch stand-offs were a thing

The only thing that changed was hug tech. Which was essentially an exploit that allowed you to not bump onto objects you were touching and get hits you normally wouldn't be able to.
It's still in the game though, hasn't been touched yet

I heard around that his turning got nerfed/changed in some way, and you can feel a different.
I don't play Blight at all, so I need the opinion of Blight mains/who plays Blight.
I played Blight recently and I don't mess around with techs etc, he feels exactly the same to me.
Where did you hear this from?

If you are approaching a survivor who's on the opposite side of a hill you can use it to quickly teleport back behind the hill if they decide to go up the hill and drop down while you're going all the way around

I'm going to be so happy when she gets buffed
I love playing her but she's just so painful to chase with

August would be my guess?
If the new chapter is 3 months from now, that would put it in September
-
Nobody ever uses it from my experience, which is odd because an addon being an iri never stopped people from using it constantly.
Double recharge or range + charge addons just too good ig?

Yes, but my main focus is on not gutting his entire power just for him not to camp. I'm not advocating for it in any way, to be clear. I'd much rather it be gone, but normally these types of fixes are done quickly and leave the killer in a garbage state for a while. I don't really think there's a way to fix his camping ability without an entire change to his power.
I disagree honestly I think it's possible
The leading cause of the problem is that Bubba's chainsaw sweep can hit multiple people at once. While it's an insane lethality option it's 100% what makes trading and exchanging against bubba impossible
You could change that aspect of his power while maintaining what makes him so scary in chase.
Oni has a similar issue with his power being able to hit multiple people but the difference is, his power is on a timer so the counterplay to a camping Oni in blood fury is to wait it out
-
Map offering = No mercy
That's my policy

- That doesn't mean it is a good perk. I still practically never see it used.
- It is a killer choice, you are taking a risk by leaving them on the floor. Unbreakable is a bandaid fix for that, survivor shouldn't need a perk to get up.
1) Yes Sluzzy I understand you never see it used but just because you never see it, doesn't mean that's objectively how it is for the rest of us. There might be a survivor out there who's never seen a Twins before, does that mean they are a bad killer as well?
It is a good perk, it does so much for you.
2) If killers had it so easy Sluzzy they would never need to slug anyone, they could just 3 hook everyone every game but we both know that's not the case and killers use slugging as a shortcut because giving all 4 survivors multiple chases and hooks each is only possible if the survivors are not playing well.
-
@Vampwire said:
Short answer is no. But I don't think there's a way to nerf bubba camping without hurting his actual gameplay. Plus how often do you actually get face camped by a bubba like this?
It's more so that if the Bubba does decide to camp you for whatever reason
There's nothing you or your team can do about it aside from gens. His power makes unhooking physically impossible if they just refuse to move. You can't even exchange with BT bc it doesn't do anything since his speed beats the damage speed boost

Two things;
Adrenaline is never used anymore because gens don't get completed.
You shouldn't be tryharding by slugging everyone for an ez win. It is not fun and there shouldn't be a required perk to deal with slugging when killers don't need a perk for that.
1) The data posted by BHVR about the most used perks in the game prove you are completely wrong. Adrenaline is in the top 12 most used perks in the game according to the official data.
2) Literally a non argument because it has nothing to do with the fact Unbreakable is essentially a free health state if you're left on the ground.
-
@Sluzzy said:

It occurs more frequently and more easily for health states to be bypassed. As in the case for the Dredge, he put the game in his pocket because he had a single perk: Devour Hope.
Survivor perks have never and will never have that kind of impact, especially a perk that has a small dash that requires perfect timing to pull off.
You're straight up wrong Sluzzy and let me tell you why
You want to know what two survivor perks can turn a win for the killer into a loss?
Unbreakable or Adrenaline. Or both at the same time
If the killer has 3 people slugged and is chasing the last dude, if that last dude somehow lasts long enough for one of them to get up and pick up everyone else then the match is basically over for the killer if it's late enough in the game.
Alternatively
If the killer somehow gets 3 people slugged and the last dude pops the last gen, if all of them have adrenaline that's three health states and three seperate chases all completely voided all because of 1 perk.
And if both are combined: 1 person gets up with UB, heals the other two up and then the final gen heals them all to healthy. That's SIX health states healed in an instant, Sluzzy.
If you really want to die on the hill of 'Devour Hope OP' (Which it isn't, not only is it a hex perk it's a hex perk the killer has to WORK for) then you should also be against survivor perks that give you free health states just for bringing the perk.
So yeah, survivor perks DO have that same impact.

There is a way to circumvent Deception and fast jump into a locker
You need to stand still while holding shift. Deception specifies that you need to be running in order to trigger it
-
Oh boy
One thing that bothers me to no end in solo Q is when people believe just because they have BT then any unhook is automatically safe and that they don't need to take hits
I had a game where this poor meg (Who had no DS) got tunnelled from 1st to 3rd all because one of my teammates who had BT kept unhooking in the killers face and leaving her in the dust.
Even if you bring BT, look out for your vunerable teammates. Don't automatically assume they have DS. Some killers will just wait it out meaning without DS you just gave the killer a free hook for 12 seconds of chase whereas you could have did anything else in that time and rescued when it was safe.

Hi
I'm not exactly a hag main but I think I have a decent understanding of how to play her so here are my answers to your questions:
1) It really depends what is around the tile itself, if you trap the actual vaults, it'd very easy for the survivors to play around it. You're 110% so these tiles can be painful if ran correctly. When I play hag, I typically try to either trap near the center, that way both windows are covered and it should swing their camera to mess with them and prevent fast vaults.
2) This is hag's main counterplay and it's a rough one - you need to adapt on the fly; place traps in unexpected places or where survivors can't see you. Setting traps mid chase isn't a terrible idea if you can zone the survivor out in some way - if they can daisy chain tiles together it's difficult
You shouldn't also over commit to a survivor if you have no traps, especially if they aren't near objectives such as hooks or generators. If the survivor is in a strong part of the map with no traps, cut your losses and move on.
3) Healing in general is quite easy at the moment due to boons and medkits. Here are how I deal with it:
I run Sloppy Butcher to make it take longer
I run Save The Best For Last to chew through their 2 health states quicker (It also helps you teleport to your traps quicker after an initial hit)
You can run Franklins to deal with Medkits, then you can trap their medkits which will hurt them a lot.
And maybe you can run the new perk 'Shattered Hope' if boons are being particularly bothersome to you
Hopefully you find something useful in this mini essay

This will be us tomorrow:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMuYfScGpbE2 Mil BP going straight to Dredge's cosmic horror clutches
-
Devour Hope does not need a nerf. It's one of the most balanced hex perks in the game actually
Dredge does not need a nerf.
His map traversal and anti-loop does have a cooldown, for somebody who claims they played the killer you're really ignoring that fact. Just because it's not a ten minute cooldown doesn't mean it's not there
As for nightfall, not only should you be paying attention to your environment anyway but you literally get a warning when it's about to happen so if you're in a bad spot when it happens that's on you
-
I also had no idea this was how it worked
I thought all TVs would swap between the tape and static randomly just for aesthetic or that maybe the TV would be static before swapping to the tape/after a tape was inserted or something
Neat.

If survivors had 5 perk slots, there might be room for an info perk.
Removing a very critical perk for a much worse perk is like going in the match on a wheelchair.
Maybe take self care off sluzzy
Use the information perks to find a teammate and get healed instead. Win win
🙂

For survivor I pick a charm or two I just really like. One of my favourites is the pocket entity charm
For killer I pick charms that I think are related to or relevant to that specific killer
For example on Trickster, I had all the Trickster themed charms and so on

At somebody who despised the original MMR system I can tell you it has gotten better for both sides
Yeah those changes were a major reason why I even considered coming back.
That said, I am very disappointed that MMR decay (which should have been a day 1 feature) is still not a thing after 10 months!
But if BHVR can't manage to lower my MMR, I guess I'll have to do so myself. Now it's just gonna be a tough choice on whether I'm gonna do the Slinger matches to see how he feels despite MMR being too high (cause I know I'll get stomped with how much they massacred him), or just AFK Wraith until its at a reasonable level.
Anyway, thanks for the quick answer! ^^
It could be in the game we don't 100% have a way to know but they haven't confirmed it
And maybe they won't confirm it so people don't stop playing just to lower it. Hard to say
Overall MMR's not as bad though! There's still glaring balance issues with the game but I've been able to have more fun with it lately

For real? I didn't know that! Thats pretty cool. But still, I would love to have some indicator in the portrait, so I know for sure whom I have to look out for. Most of the time the survivors totally disappear for the minute and immerse themselves, which has its own merrit, but a down would be sweeter.
Yeah it's especially annoying when there's multiple of the same survivor
Which typically there is if it's a feng or a claudette or something
-
Did you know Make your Choice actually has a slight visual indicator?
The survivor who unhooks is supposed to have blood dripping/bleeding FX around their wrists for a few seconds. It'd be really cool of the effect lasted for the whole minute.
-
I really dig Blight's design, his default one mainly
On the surface it looks simple just a dude in a hood but then you notice the face underneath the hood, the extra fingers he has. The little satchel he has. It's just a nice design I think
As for survivor my favourite has to be Yui
I really love the biker aesthetic but the fact all of her cosmetics incorporate her lucky bandana is such a nice attention to detail.
-
They haven't said mmr decay is in the game yet
However they did change MMR criteria somewhat and widened the 'brackets' so to speak so there's more variety in the players you can go against. At somebody who despised the original MMR system I can tell you it has gotten better for both sides
You'll see come across the typical sweats but I don't think it'll be every game unless you're super super high up. I think that's how it works now at least
-
Only tombstone piece
Mainly because it's an insidious addon
At least Infinite Tombstone/T3 its pretty obvious that he has it because he doesn't injure anyone and just spends the whole game stalking. Tombstone piece barely increases the time to reach t3 especially if they don't use it right away
-
It's not a good thread on the DBD forums if someone doesn't post a picture of an adorable animal
That should be a forum rule somewhere 🤔
-
I don't think he needs any nerfs personally but if I had to nerf the tunnelling potential, all I'd do is make the entity blocked lockers have a small lingering effect after an unhook. It wouldn't need to be super long, only like 5 seconds or so. This would give the unhooked person a chance to get to safety
-
His anti-loop has a built in countermeasure to it
He's so slow when using it, meaning it's easier to use it in filler tiles but much harder to skillfully use it at big tiles like jungle gyms and there are ways survivors can play around it - leaving tiles, baiting the teleport then dropping a pallet or vaulting a window, doubling back etc
It's more of a 50/50 than a lose lose situation like many other anti-loop killers create
His mobility is great but has the limitation of lockers which creates mobility deadzones. Granted this isn't super likely but it can happen.
-
Put a massive picture of Nurse in the background laughing then the picture is accurate...

Could you give me your lethal build suggestion?
Usually I run a combination of
Lethal + Pain Res + Deadlock + No Way out - This is my standard legion build, I use this when I'm playing to win. I find it's a pretty consistant build with good early game potential, great midgame slowdown and an emergency endgame perk to fallback on
However it gets boring running the same 4 perks so sometimes I swap my build around
Sometimes I run Lethal + Pain res + Surge/Jolt and Enduring. A weaker endgame but two decent gen perks and a good chase perk.
I'm still experimenting with lethal, but it's def better than corrupt on legion - corrupt makes survivors spread out at the start which as Legion you certainly don't want.
-
From what I've seen in game reporting is ineffective at dealing with those ppl (tho if you're gonna do what I said below, report them in game anyway bc you have to)
You need to get evidence of it and make an actual support ticket about it, then wait for a response which can take a little while sometimes.
I think one of the mods on here said it's taken very seriously when reported via support so that'll likely be your best bet.
-
They said MMR decay was a feature they were looking into/working on but I don't think they said it was live
The only thing that went live was the tweaks they made to MMR after the tests like a month or so ago? It's detailed in a news post somewhere
-
Here's a sleeper hit perk that many might not realise
Lethal Pursuer Legion.
Sometimes survivors spawn clustered together and with Legion's buff - this can turn into 3 injuries and a down very quickly. One of Legion's biggest flaws is when survivors realise it's a legion and spread themselves out but if you know where all of them are before they know it's a legion you can capitalise on this.
Here's an example - I played a match today with this perk on Legion and I saw that the 4 survivors were spawned somewhat close. Not right next to one another but I estimated they were all within frenzy distance and like I mentioned - it turned into 3 quick injuries and a down all within a few seconds of the trial starting.
And if none of the above happens, be it due to bad spawns, maps and so on then lethal will work as it does for most of the other killers - a better early game. Using lethal to maximise early game damage is amazing and I implore you to try it out!
-
Well everyone has a different thing they look for in a killer and their power
I tend to stray away from killers who I feel are frustrating to play - Like Billy or Twins in favour of killers who have powers that are just fun to use. I've criticised Blight a lot on the forums but it doesn't detract from the fact his power is so fun to use. (To me, of course)
Dredge feels like a good jack of all trades killer - anti-loop, mobility and a passive ability that enhances his power and hinders survivors. I'm glad the remant side of his power slows him down significantly, if it didn't I would likely hate it profusely.
-
Waiting in the exit gates when the killer is pushing everyone out is a good way to get some quick protection hits as well

They did that for bite the bullet which is funny
Bite the bullet does so much on top of that
It completely mutes grunts of pain and healing noises
removes essentially any regression from missing healing skillchecks and removes the notification and even let's you apply that to people you heal too.
Bite the Bullet is a prime example of a perk that's amazing for beginners but can even be used by advanced players. You can use it to heal in dangerous situations or even try to use it midchase.
