There's also an achievement like Bot_Salvo88 originally described, Left For Dead: "As the last person still alive, activate the last generator and escape through the exit gate."
Oh so I did remember correctly! That's so bad of an achievement, really.
-
Giving extra points won't change genuine bad players. If they can't make it until the end right now and don't even know how to do gens, they won't do it with a bonus BP in play, trust me.

You almost remembered it correctly. Thats the achievement I'm talking about Power Moves. Equip 0 perks, repair a full gen and escape (8 times)
Damn, almost. Anyway, this challenge is a pain in the back π
-
Last time I looked at the achievements was a long time ago. Was there one where as survivor you had to do a full gen and escape from the exit when you're the last survivor remaining? Maybe I'm wrong and I can't remember.
-
If you happen to use no mither, I suggest you to equip for the people, inner strength and self-care. Better bring a green medkit too while you're at it π

On a side note, I wish the would drop the "kill the obsession" challenges. I see some many people just tunnel out the obsession and write in end chat "Sorry I was doing kill the obsession challenge". Do we really need a challenge to encourage tunneling?
Yeah there was a challenge that require you to hook the obsession 3 times in one match. The easiest way it to tunnel them out and praying that they don't rage quit. The other way is to play normally and pray that they don't do gens. Either way, I chose the tunnel way since it was a bit easier.

Got this by farming. Can't be bothered to get good at nurse when I used her 5 times In total since 2021 π€£
-
When this happens I'll just try to get killer as soon as possible, report whoever is griefing and move on. It's bad when this happens, I agree.
If everyone involved is ok with this, then I have no problem. But when I'm not in the mood for it, you're just getting a report and I'll move on.
-
You can report whoever is teaming with the killer if you don't agree with it. I remember this rule with farming. Farming isn't bannable as long as everyone involved is ok with it. If even 1 doesn't agree with it, you can proceed to report it.
-
If they will do anything about it, they will give you bloodpoints. I don't see BHVR giving away free shards unless it's a limited time event.
-
Why is everyone acting like SoloQ is bad now? Bad players existed since the game came out.

Was it noed or did you stand around taunting an infinite T3 Myers while he stalked you all out?
I've done that before, insidious plus tombstone and you stand there till all the survivors run around in your face taunting you, most of the time they don't even notice the tier ups and then you pop T3 and kill them all.
Its a novelty you do once or twice and then move on.
It was noed and he was tier 1. It was embarrassing

Same goes for survivors disappearing in front of my eyes because of lag π

If survivors went from AFK killer to 4K, that is 100% on the survivors LOL
Yeah because we were all with our brains turned off since all gens got done and he was afk. We were all around the killer and pointing at him. He stayed intentionally afk all game just to kill us all at the end because of noed, which is dumb.
-
In my opinion you need to earn it rather than getting it for free when gens get done. You can be afk all game and still win because of it (a Myers did this to me and other 3 survivors, all solo). He was pretending to be afk but then kill us all because of NOED.
Let's make it so you need 6 hooks to unlock this perk. I see too many killers playing poorly and rely on it for end game.
While I believe it's very easy to get rid of it, a lot of "noob" killers use it. You can see the noed coming when killer has 3 hooks and all gens are done. I just want killers to earn that NOED.
I also believe that the recent nerf to NOED where you can see its aura is very stupid. "Here's the totem, go break it".
-
Save the best for last shouldn't let you recover before the survivor uses his full speed burst after getting hit.
-
With huntress I equip Enduring to go through pallets since survivors tend to fake the pallet drop and run away. By the time they realize I never respect a pallet they already get hit.
Using Dissolution (Dredge perk) can help too. If you happen to injure a survivor, with dissolution (once they fast vault a pallet) the pallet immediately breaks. Works well on some maps.
If you have to go for a normal hit instead of a hatchet hit, do it. Don't miss that free hit if you can. Aura reading perks can help too with huntress. Sometimes with BBQ you can snipe someone from across the map and it feels satisfying.
-
Have you tried to walk backwards?

Kind of, but matchmaking is absolutely not balanced. You're extremely unlikely to get 4 similarly skilled survivors matched against a similarly skilled killer. And even if you do, the game has no way to quantify how hard any of those players are trying, and builds have wild degrees of varying strength.
The game throws casual and competitive players into the same queue and then matches them across a fairly wide range of skill. Even if the game is more or less balanced, they don't tune matchmaking to be balanced.
Between those 6 escapes and kills there are 0 escapes or 0 kills and then 4 kills and 4 escapes. Sometimes even 3 kills and sometimes 3 escapes. If you do the math, you get this. At least for me. It can change based on each player of course

Ill try again since I wasnt specific
Where is OP getting that image with stats from? Clearly from a database, and probably 3rd party website. Where is it from so I can go check it out.
Dead by Daylight statistics for perks, survivors, killers, items, offerings and more - a personal DBD stat tracker with community stats. Here you go. Sorry for not being specific too. It's good to track your own games and see how you're doing.

@SilentShepherd said:
Where are people getting these stats from?
Myself. I do games and I write stats based on how games go.

An easy solution to camping is to not get caught π€―
Jokes aside, I agree. Reassurance needs at least 10 meters range BUT it shouldn't activate if the killer is chasing a survivor near the hook. At that point is the survivor's fault for chasing around the hook.

I feel like I'm the only one who has no idea on how to describe this piece of art π¨

What is interesting is that when I play I use the Epic Games Launcher. I never see Epic users in my matches. They usually have the crossplay icon next to their name.
But I agree, when I found cheaters they always were playing on an Epic account.
-
I am iridescent 1 on both sides and I have to say that it is a bit hard to get this done on survivor (got 1 iri emblem only for lightbringer). I found this a bit easier as killer. Try to play your least used killers to get bad survivors who don't do gens. That's how I did this challenge with Trapper π
Regarding the stuns: I personally got very lucky that I found a farming Freddy so I got Head On stuns and DS stun on him. If you can, try to get hit as you're dropping the pallet (imagine finding range killers now π).
-
Sorry, I was just messing around π
Regarding to your topic: I use shadowborn mainly on killers like hillbilly, sometimes huntress and legion. Imagine having to change the FOV every time you play killer because it doesn't feel OK on one killer. I think shadowborn is a good option without needing an in-game slider.

@whampyri said:
When a killer gives up and stands in a corner why wont you just finish the gens and leave
I barely see killers giving up by staying AFK. They usually disconnect like survivors.
-
Let me guess: you got spun by a survivor and missed multiple attacks because of that.

Grabs getting cancelled means the disparity between what you're seeing and what the server is seeing is too great.
However, the fact that it changes into a swing after the survivor is already safely on the other side of the pallet/window is complete bogus. It would have been a hit if the game had never tried to grab at all. A missed grab should directly transition to a health state, not the roulette it is now.
Yeah, the problem right now with canceled grabs is that I get locked in grab animation sometimes for too long so the survivor is safe on the other side of a pallet or window. It should automatically be a hit instead of wasting time touching their back and letting them go.

Nobody's claiming idiot teammates don't exist. There's no challenge that tells you to ######### on hook, either. But a very significant portion of unhelpful behavior is motivated by archive challenges. Pallet camping for stuns, basement visits for white glyphs, chest goblin-ing, hook farming because they want 4 unhooks in one match, stealth gameplay for hatch, opening gates early and sandbagging because they need an endgame collapse save - take your pick, it's all in there. It's pointless to deny this exists and that otherwise decent teammates will do stupid things because their tome challenge told them to.
What I don't understand is that killer challenges require to to play the game normally. Challenges like break a pallet/gen/wall, hook survivors, chase survivors and that's pretty much it. Survivor challenges require you to escape after healing someone else, open the hatch with a key, escape after someone else did, get the Glyph and bring it to the basement, repair for 1 sec 5 different gens in one match. The list goes on.
-
I was lucky enough to find a nice Freddy that saw me acting dumb on purpose to get the stuns. I was hiding in lockers in front of him for then getting out with head on. Also, getting hit as you're dropping a pallet can help.
-
As killer you will hear the sound of survivors going down when they use dead hard since the time is 0.5 sec and the game can't keep up with that.
-
It's anonymous mode. If you turn it on you can hide your name to others and even other players name in the match.
I love to see these reactions to confuse people π€£

It's actually not a bad system, for killers. Number of kills when averaged over the course of dozens of games isn't too far off being a decent gauge of skill.
For survivors however it's too unreliable. An escape isn't necessarily earned and a death isn't necessarily your fault.
The idea of having survivors share MMR gains for a game wouldn't be too bad, but the problem is how you to factor in the escape of another survivor in your game if you died first and leave it to queue for another game before they escape?
So you're saying that a Bubba facecamping everyone is as skillfull as a 12 hook game.
-
Or you could just not press ESC?
-
You can do totems and open chests. Or even do Tome challenges and sabo hooks.
-
Regarding the pitch black house: on console you can perfectly see inside it. Don't know why on PC we got this horrible house.
-
Because:
Buba>Basemint>Kil>gud
-
It's not SoloQ, it's matchmaking that needs to be addressed. I get paired with potatoes even when I know what I'm doing. If 4 solo players know what they're doing, it's actually really easy to win. It doesn't always happen, but when it happens it's cool to see.
-
I can suggest you a totem build:
-Overzealous: cleanse a totem to activate it. You repair gens 8% faster, 16% if you cleanse a hex totem. You lose this bonus if you lose a health state.
-Clairvoyance: cleanse a totem to activate it. While holding a button, you'll see auras of gens, hooks, chests, hatch and exit gates within 64 meters of you for 10 seconds. Doesn't work if you're holding an item.
-Inner Strength: cleanse a totem to activate it. When you go in a locker and you're injured, you will heal in 8 seconds.
-Small Game: when you look around and there's a totem in your area the perk will make a sound and will have a 10 sec cooldown. It helps you find totems in areas you may not expect. You can also count how many totems have been cleansed since you gain a stack for each totem cleansed.
You can activate all perks with 1 single totem.
I can also suggest you a "never blow up the gen" build:
-Technician: if you repair a gen and miss a skill check, the gen won't make noise for the killer but you lose additional progress.
-Corrective Action: you start with 3 stacks. When you repair a gen with another survivor and that survivor miss a skill check, the gen won't blow up but you lose a stack. You gain stacks by getting great skill checks.
-Calm Spirit: if the killer has perks like infectious fright, scourge hook pain resonance or iron maiden, you won't scream and you'll be stealthy.
-Alert: you see killer's aura for 5 seconds every time he breaks a wall, pallet or generator.
If you're interested in chases I can suggest you the "chase me" build:
-Object of Obsession: every 30 seconds you can see killer's aura for 3 seconds and the killer can see yours.
-Alert: every time the killer breaks a pallet, wall or generator, you can see his aura for 5 seconds.
-Inner Focus: every time the killer hits someone else at 32 meters of you, you can see his aura for 5 seconds.
-Dark Sense: every time a gen gets completed, this perk activates. You can see the killer's aura for 10 seconds when he's within 24 meters of you.
If you really want to, you can bring a key with the blood amber add-on to see killer's aura for an extra 60 seconds.
-
They said that
"MMR is based on kills and Escapes. Kills and escapes are proxy for skill."
"Let's say that as killer you hook every survivor twice but none of them died. Should your MMR go up? Probably not."
"As survivor, you looped the killer for 5 gens but then you get caught and the others escape leaving you on the hook: wouldn't be nice if you do all of that and still escape?"
This is all I can remember.
-
Legion is the best counter to dead hard. Even Deathslinger if anyone still plays him.
-
They could add a bonus for hooking a different survivor each time. They added basekit borrowed time so the killer is punished for going after the same person again. Reward the killer for going after the unhooker by giving extra BPs.
-
I can only do these challenges with farming killers, really. Especially stunning the killer 4 times in a single match.
-
Not gonna happen. People are way too aggressive in end game chat sometimes. Seeing that turning into voice chat isn't very ideal.
"Just disable it" then what's the point of adding it in the first place. There are many perks to show survivors aura to you and viceversa. Use them if you really have a problem with communication.
You can't "fix" bad players. If a player isn't good, a voice chat won't help.
-
Still better than garden of joy house.
-
They added that because some players were getting lost. They knew where the exit was but had no idea on how to reach it. It's also easier for killer to get a hook in case you happen to kill someone outside with no way to hook somebody.
-
Have you tried sometimes to ignore chases and look for other survivors? It can help most of the times. If a survivor looks at you hoping to get chased, just ignore him until you're sure you can afford it.
-
Prestige doesn't necessarily mean skill. Most people will think about getting the max amount of points as possible if they care only about prestige.
