Doctor can bring all the perks he wants to make my skill checks impossible, but he can't counter my perks like inner strength for heals, technician for gens, calm spirit for screams and corrective action to help my teammates not to miss any skill check ๐
-
When you're so good that the opponent thinks you're cheating is the best compliment you can ever get.
-
Again, billionth time I see this type of comment. Your report is tied to your account. You can still report the person as you always did. You just don't need to add the ID in the Offender's ID section. It's really that simple.
-
They have a reason to be locked behind something. A casual player has no reason to use the Twitch cosmetics.
-
I play for Tome Challenges and even losing 15 games in a row doesn't mean anything to me as I mostly care about getting my challenge done.
-
If only one person had boil over, you could've gone for the others. Like you said, there was no sabo either, so it was much easier to hook somebody else.
Other solution would be to bleed out the only person that gave you problems, but that's not ideal.
The smart thing is to always ignore who's trying to take your attention and go for other players who will definetly be on gens and weaker targets.

Friend, this is just what Twitter says when you publish a carousel. The only way to create one is through the ads suite, even if the post itself is not an ad. It would say "Promoted" on it if it were an ad.
Oh, I didn't know that. Sorry >.<

Meh, if I have to heal someone else I bring We'll make it. If I have to heal myself I bring inner strength.
-
I learnt to trick the game saying "yeah, I'm leaving the gen" and then work on it a couple of extra seconds to hit that stupid skill check that ALWAYS pops up as I'm leaving the gen. It's really like the gen knows what I'm about to do ๐
-
If they can't give us new outfits, they could at least give us 20.000 shards to buy one for ourselves
-
I did this while farming with a funny group of survivors. Pointless for me to try and get it normally since I'm trash at nurse and used her 3 or 4 times in total just for challenges.
I always used the blink attack and then normal attack since I have no idea if blink also counts as a basic attack for the challenge.

The two Deathslinger mains crying right now in a corner

Doctor Shock should negate oblivious status effect. I wonder what's gonna happen with Plaything tho, i never see it on Doctors.

I hate this "review."
They throw numbers at us like we are supposed to care. We are not shareholders. We don't care about usage numbers.
We care about the experience.
BBQ & Chili was great for the game. It reduces camping by usually giving killers a target far from the hook and it used to give killers another objective other than kill while giving them a damn good reason to run it. I want 42% of killers running BBQ & Chili because it's good for the game. It reduces camping and tunneling.
Ever since 6.1.0 killers have found camping and tunneling more rewarding despite the efforts to deter it, while there are no incentives to play fair.
The fact that BHVR cares more about "peak usage rates" rather than what players are experiencing is really sad.
Yeah
-
The stats have been taken from the last 30 days. Mostly self-care has been used a lot because of the most recent challenge that requires you to run self-care, heal 1 time and escape.
-
Dude, don't get down to basement with certain killers. Stay away from it.

Several of the top 10 perks also have modified/different effects compared to their previous iterations, buy people seem to be glossing over that.
I honestly find the game really chill and fun on both sides as of late.
Same. I try different combinations between the less expected perks from other players and it's actually really cool. I also use a website to completely randomize my perks and see either new combinations I didn't know or a complete disaster ๐คฃ

Where did you get these stats?
Dead by Daylight statistics for perks, survivors, killers, items, offerings and more. A Personal and Community DBD Stats Tracker. You have to upload a screenshot of each match end result to get stats of your profile

Man, if the entire surv escape rate is 39%, and that includes the so dreaded seal SWF, i cant even imagine the escape rate of SoloQ. must be <20% being generous.
My personal stats in the past week are in line with the ones we got from the devs:
Survivor games are in SoloQ. Escape rates include all 4 survivors per match. Killer games are mostly for Tome Challenges and my most played killer was huntress.

@Peanits said:
The most important numbers in all of those are the peak usage rates. For both Killer and Survivor, the most used perks have dropped by half. Dead Hard, for example, went from being used 42% of the time to only 19% (and dropping). That is a huge step forward in terms of build variety.
But I will say that the most used perks are still changing. BBQ, for example, is steadily dropping in usage rate each day and doesn't show signs of stopping any time soon. I really cannot stress enough that these numbers are more of a "first impression" than anything else- they'll likely be irrelevant even in a week from now. This is purely for the sake of transparency so you can get a better idea of how things are going.
Thanks for clarification! We love transparency. We need these stats more often, if possible.

The Self-care change was awful, now people healing in the corner take longer, I'm on second hook and they're not even done.
The change to Ruin was... Eh, I guess it helps not tunnel, but it still has the problem of being able to be broken within the first minute of the match.
Also ######### the blast mine change, that's just bad.
Self care change was unexpected.
Ruin is Ruined.
Blast Mine was actually fixed since the original intention was the one we got in this Resident Evil update. The previous version was unintended from what I understood.

7 out of 10 of the most used killer perks are slowdown perks, and I bet other strong ones such as DMS, Eruption and Deadlock are up there among the most used too
So much of the meta shift
The point is also that Devs said "we don't want killers to be forced to use slowdown perks" when this is what's happening.
Same goes for survivors with "second chance perks". Before it was DS and now it's off the record.
-
New nerf. Self-care will heal you at 5% of the normal speed and will down you once you complete the heal.
-
In my opinion, save the best for last shouldn't let the killer recover faster than the survivor sprint burst after getting hit. Right now you recover faster than that and sometimes it's a bit rediculous.

It should get reverted but it should also get buffed to where it works on both stuns and blinds. So your not reliant on pallet stuns
also Yochis perks are the least used perks in the game right now atm
Buckle Up would like to join with 0.01% usage rate.

The only really good Hex per is Devour Hope in my opinion (when they don't cleanse it).
-
As killer you have no way of getting that ๐ฃ

It should be "Dead" without the hard, I.E. deleted and replaced with a perk that's actually well-designed
"Dead" perk. Every time you use it, you get instantly downed.

@danielmaster87 said:
The fact that you have to wait to hit a survivor is what makes the perk broken. It's not like any other exhaustion perk, where you wait because you'll whiff because they're actually speeding up and gaining distance. It's literally just, "Oh, you were gonna down me? Now you don't." Why do we call the perk the perk healthy when it literally prevents killers from lunging? I want to be able to play killer and lunge, because I can. Is that too much to ask for? I can't believe they nerfed Dead Hard and we still have to be scared to lunge. We were fools to accept that because it's a reaction to a hit, rather than straight-up i-frames and distance, that it was gonna "take more skill". It takes none to begin with.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3187487#Comment_3187487
Exactly. Let's just accept that, like boons, Dead Hard is a bad idea. If you have to completely change the perk for it to be balanced, then that's what you gotta do.
This. Killer lunge at this point makes little to no sense in a game where dead hard is a thing

If the killer lets someone unhook then was it really a skilled play?
Don't know about you but many killers usually hook someone and go away. They don't expect a save right behind them. I also never expect it in most situations to be honest.
-
You can still see the button to report them next to their name just like everyone else, the classic thumbs up or down. Click on it and report. I don't know why everyone is having problems since it's the same as before ๐
For chat insults (death threats, racial slurs) it's not necessary to make a support ticket as the in-game report is enough.
-
Imagine if they add a "Shadowborn" for Survivors ๐
-
Yeah she could have points as survivor for when you dodge a close hatchet. There's the same for Deathslinger.
-
My PC too screams when DBD is open. It doesn't do that with other bigger and more demanding games in terms of Graphics. I noticed that it gets louder when I'm spending points on the bloodweb for more than 5 levels at a time.

The MMR being as lax as it is now isn't much different than the old system. The alternative is a stricter system where you'd spend 15-20 mins in queue for a match that may or may not go well. People say they want it but I get the feeling 20 minute waits would get old quick. I would rather play something else personally.
What i'm asking is to not get paired with beginners who installed the game yesterday. I have 1000 hours and getting paired with a person who got 15 hours seems a bit rediculous.

There's an add-on to break pallets and walls if you really need it.

But if they gave us VC we could at least call out where killer is and exchange useful info. Even players without mics can hear and act on what people are saying. Worst case scenario it certainly can't hurt our chances at all and if ppl get toxic just mute em.
There's already a killer terror radius to tell where the killer is. There are also a lot of perks and add-ons to tell where the killer is. Let's not act like players are stupid.

Oh, killer-mains here already :)
So I have to be a killer main to describe bad survivor plays?
-
Sounds like skill issue from your teammates. BHVR can't fix bad players.
-
I use a stealth trapper build with:
-dragon's grip: when you kick a gen and survivors touch it for the next 30 seconds they get exposed;
-insidious: when you stand still for 2 seconds you get undetectable until you move. I stay hidden near the gen to get value from dragon's grip;
-dark devotion: when the obsession steps on a trap or when he gets hit, my terror radius is on him for 30 seconds. I can use this to be sneaky around the map while placing traps;
-play with your food; when you start a chase with the obsession and you lose chase, you get a 5% extra movement speed for each token (up to 3). Since you may hit the obsession to lose terror radius, you will gain a token and get a 5% extra movement speed to place traps faster and sneaky.
It's very situational but it's funny when it works.
-
"You're not playing according to my totally-not-made-up-rules so I have all the rights to rage quit."
-
Nothing would've changed since they play on fresh account vs brand new players. I'm not saying it's the easiest thing ever but when you have over 5k hours vs brand new players it's like playing on Easy Mode.
-
I suggest you Alert. Every time the killer breaks a pallet/wall or gen you see his aura for 5 seconds even if he's across the map. You can see him, he can't. Easy as that.
-
This is so dumb ๐
Since this has been happening for a long time with multiple killers in one match, why isn't there something in the game that stops the match if there's more than 4 survivors and 2 (or more) killers?!
Also survivors hooking themselves for infinite times, going waay above the ground at insane speed doesn't get you immediately banned ๐
-
You can still use it if you want. Pair it with no mither to get it's full effect or don't to stay near as silent as before.
Another solution would be to not get injured at all OR use Off The Record when you get off a hook to stay completely silent.

Pretty much easy with only specific killers like you said, but possible with a few perks.
Oni with his pink addon works too
I got it with clown. It was just bugged and it got patched with 6.2.0.
-
Someone said that adding kindred basekit would be "too complicated" for new players. I see no way of something like this getting added ever.
-
From what I noticed there's a huge problem with matchmaking. This leads to very depressing matches. No matter how good you are, you'll get paired with bad players every now and then. Many people give up because they think they got zero chance to win since they feel like their opponent is way too strong compared to them.
This mentality is a bit stupid since it means that people don't want to try and win but want the free win in their table. If we all play with this mentality by simply disconnecting every time something doesn't go in our way, we'll never improve and the skill level will be low in general because nobody wants to improve.
Long story short: do your best instead of crying about it.
-
I use enduring to never respect pallets. Not a bit deal.
-
Hot take: Survivor Adept is way easier than Killer's.
