Additional survivor resources?

What i like about friday the 13th is that the council can get weapons and slow down jason, its cool, setting up traps, finding items for the generator, repairing walk ways, would be a cool idea

  • Someone said that adding kindred basekit would be "too complicated" for new players. I see no way of something like this getting added ever.

  • The killer literally won't have enough time to deal with all that.

  • Finding item for generators

this has been often requested by the community and apparently the devs have internally tested this but deemed it too confusing/complicated. We don’t know how exactly they implemented/tested it though.

But I completely agree, generators are way too boring in their current state for survivors and something else to do which actually progresses the game (without rushing it) would be neat.

  • That stuff would be cool but it wouldn't be dbd at that point.

Explain, are u just willing to not adapt to new changes?

I used to say that I'd love more objectives as survivor but I've come to understand that the game doesn't account for anything more than whatever mechanic a killer brings with them. An earlier reply in this thread specified that the killer wouldn't have any time to deal with additional survivor shenanigans and it's true. At this point the game is as tightly designed around gens and looping as it possibly can be. Additional survivor base mechanics would greatly disrupt the flow of a typical dbd match.

TLDR: I'd wait for the sequel to be announced before hoping for any significant changes.

You know why those things work? because Jason can basically tombstone myers people and teleport around the whole map. Survivors need more slowdown options in that game because they are extremely fragile by comparison.

  • F13th and DBD operate almost completely differently. F13th has its own issues where it’s literally easier to kill Jason if you have a team than to play normally. This would just be a design and balance nightmare in DBD and additional unnecessary clutter.
