  • I'll just stick to the game's official rules.
I mean, there was a time where i'd try to follow community made-up rules.
    Ahh, good times...not really.

They'll still cleanse it and just continue pallet looping till the last gen is done.

But still a cool idea nonetheless.

Well yeah, no Perk stops them from looping.

  • Well lunging stuck with me and i didn't know about that.
    That's about it i guess.

  • It's a schedule for the year, not a schedule for the LAST year.

  • Can we get stats again?

Escape rates against all Killers on all ranks.
    Most popular Killer Perks.
    Most unpopular Killer Perks.
    Most popular Survivor Perks.

  • You're already wasting 2 Perk slots though.

  • Whichever is the shortest, to waste the least amount of time.
Long story short: Pig's my favorite and Clown's my least favorite.

  • I never camp as a standard.
Not afraid of backlash, it's just boring.

Enduring is more of a counter than unnerving.
And it has more use than just countering ds.

Speaking of Enduring against DS, some Killers feel slower to recover from getting stabbed than others.

Scratch marks should never change. Anything related to them is completely buggy and screwed up no matter what they do. Predator should increase the sound of footsteps. Lightweight should decrease the sound of footsteps. Problem solved.

Does stridor also effect footsteps? I like the idea but I would also like the idea of what it does to scratch marks to stay as well

    It does not, just voices.

    Well here's your main problem.

Do you know how time consuming it is to keep switching back to the store from your wardrobe just to see a rotation of what outfit would look good with what?

    I think not.

You are aware that you can do all of that inside the Store, right?

You mean the "Show All Items" filter, right?
Yeah, i actually just found out it even existed. (And a little surprised no one mentioned it yet.)
Now it's way less of a thing i'd like, but i'd still like to be able to spin characters in the main menu, simply for the fact that it's just more convenient for everyone.

  • Survivor, definitely.

Getting slammed by wood everytime i walk through a passage.
Getting blinded everytime i start doing something.
Getting stabbed in the shoulder every night.
Blowing up my electronics because they failed a Skill Check on purpose.
    Looting my stuff.
Taking up a random piece of floor for the Hatch.
    Sabotaging my furniture.
Calling me cancer and telling me i should die once the night's over.

Horrible, horrible times i tell you.

  • The language of the Entity?
Weren't those written down on the desciptions of the 1-Year Anniversary weapons for Killers?

    EDIT: Here:

  • Since i just opened a thread on cosmetics, i thought:
Hey, what cosmetics would you like to see for the Spirit, fellow players?

  • @Mc_Harty said:
The Hags Medusa cosmetic was pretty dope.

Everything else was just buying stuff I couldn't unlock with Iridescent Shards.

I love how it all wriggles on her.

  • No.
Devs can piss me off real good sometimes though.

  • Yeah, you're supposed to figure stuff out.
And if you can't, read tooltips.
Or go to the official wiki.

  • It'll quiet down when you stop talking about it.

  • @Mycroft said:
Well, we remember how it all started

I'd like to see another one of those, for recent matches.

  • I always play selfish-like.
I just help whenever i feel like i'd be safe doing so, since having someone else alive will aid you in your own escape.
I'm not a scumbag though, i don't ever intentionally bodyblock, never do i leave someone to die for the sole reason of not wanting to help, etc.
But i simply prioritize myself over others, it's one thing i do to keep having fun as EZ-mode Survivor.

  • I don't think he's bad...

    I know so.

  • Disagree, the Survivor's Perks are pretty mediocre or straight up bad to me and that's all a Survivor's got going for them in a new chapter.
Killer's Power is debatable, but she brings some awesome Perks.

  • Game's over, you lost. It's the developers telling you you're not allowed to escape from already having lost.

Besides, 97.2% of the Killers would be there to slap you right back into the Dying state if you do manage to escape.

  • Me.
    Survivor.

Well yeah, i find it balanced enough as well, but it's asymmetrical: SOMEONE's gonna be stronger, no matter what.

  • @Grey87 said:
You're that lazy? Literally takes you a few seconds...
There's more important stuff for them to work on.

You know how little sense you make?
If i were that lazy, i wouldn't even start the game, since that takes more time and clicks.

This is about a small, QoL change.
They've done those before along with "important stuff" y'know, so that's no excuse to not implement it.

  • @jiminie said:
We don't have a Casual mode yet and you really think devs will do something to their most precious feature ?
This SWF threads should stop, they won't touch SWF if they want their game to continue 'breathing'

    Right?
They already pissed their pants from getting feedback when only TALKING about nerfing Self Care.
They'll need at least 27 more pairs of balls to just talk about nerfing SWF.

  • Then they'll probably make it so Survivors take 3 hits to go down instead of 2.

If you only dodge large SWF, you should find a game in no time

    For you maybe.
    Not for me.

Serious time: Idk, and i usually follow these things.

I'd be down for that, maybe have Mangled and Broken together at a high tier? If they are Broken, they cannot be healed until it wears off, but then with Mangled, it would still take a long time for them to fully heal.

There was a bug for a time with the Hillbilly, where if they used 2 add-ons that caused the Mangled status effect, it would take nearly 30 minutes to fully heal one survivor.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Patches#Patch_1.5.2b_-_13_June_2017

"Fixed an issue causing a Hillbilly Chainsaw Attack with both the "Begrimed Chains" & "Rusted Chains" add-ons equipped to increase survivor healing time to 30 minutes (using both Add-ons should now cause healing to be slowed-down by 4)"

So what, Broken for like 60 seconds and Mangled for 120 seconds? (Or infinite, whatever.)
    That'd be dope.

  • 38 people playing while i post this.
    That's not...You can't sugarcoat that, that's very very bad.

  • Killing with DH.

  • I would dodge, but then i'd never get to play.
It's an accepted plague by now.

  • There's a thin line between toxic and toxic-enough-to-be-banned.

If you feel someone is toxic towards you, who you have reported and who has not been banned, then a thicker skin is what you require.
Or, you know, the Exit Game button, but that's not my preferred answer.

  • But most always say she sucks, so it's completely fine. ;)

  • If you're not power-hungry, Boil Over ain't bad at all.

  • Well, i like 1-hitting (Hex: Haunted Ground), i like killing (Rancor) & i like burning through Pallets (Spirit Fury).

As for the Killer herself, idk. Refused to play PTB.

As for the Survivor Perks, well...

    • I don't like running Altruistic-focused Perks (Autodidact).
    • I don't see Deliverance being useful all that much. If you disagree, good for you.
    • Diversion is straight up horrible. Just vault a window fast, drop a pallet or enter/exit a locker fast. Or fail a Skill Check while healing yourself/others, or when repairing or sabotaging. Boom, free diversion.
  • They would just not fit in.

  • If "weird" is classified to you as simply being non-meta, then i practically only run weird builds.

Love Hex: Devour Hope, for example.
Won't always pull it off, which only makes the successes more satisfying. (And thank GOD they didn't give it the same treatment as Memento Mori Offerings, where you have to hook them before you can kill them.)

Save The Best For Last became a new favorite of mine, though that one's not on all Killers, naturally.
Like Nurse won't ever wield it for me, since fatigue isn't affected at all, or Hillbilly since i almost exclusively go for Chainsaw hits, and then equipping the Perk for those few times i use the hammer isn't worth it.

Enduring is standard on everyone. Yes, even Nurse.
I despise Decisive Strike and want to get rid of it from the match ASAP.
I don't care how strong or weak it is, it's just my least favorite Perk to go up against.
Plus it helps to burn through pallet loops quickly.

Barbecue & Chili is also standard on everyone.
Bloodpoints + being able to quickly go to your next victim? Uhmm, yes please.

    Make Your Choice on Hag.
Ever seen threads where people complain that no one ever crouches through Hag traps?
Well i agree, or at least partially.
When someone goes to unhook and doesn't hear a heartbeat, they mostly disregard the possibility of there being a trap, doesn't matter if they know i'm a Hag or not.
And even if they do crouch through it, the unhooked Survivor is another big chance for the trap to go off.
There's just too many chances to pass this Perk, in my opinion.
The only time that this Perk TRULY doesn't do much for you is if they trigger the trap but don't unhook until the triggered trap disappears.
But you can still just teleport, hit them and keep the hooked Survivor on there.
You won't get a 1-hit, but they still have a fellow Survivor on the hook doing nothing.
I haven't seen a change in their behaviour through ranks btw, high ranks are almost just as uncaring about Hag traps as low ranks. Maybe it's different for you, but i currently profit too much from their recklessness.

Just an in-between note: I'm not including any Perks from the new Killer.
They're too new for me to say: Yes!
And they also might change when they get implemented into the main game.

    Brutal Strength on some.
Yes, doesn't do as much anymore.
But i just wanna burn through pallets ASAP.

    Territorial Imperative on Hillbilly.
Oh yeah, this is actually really powerful...once you get a hook in the Basement, that is.
But here's the thing: I often do get a hook in the Basement, so...y'know...why tf not?
Anyhoo, this is great as you'll just rush over there once your TI triggers and then either block the stairs for Chainsaw takedown(s) or go further down and secure at least 1 down. (Depends on what they do.)
Survivors can't STAND the idea of another one dying so easily and quickly, so you don't have to worry one bit about them going for the save or not: They will.
I also use this on Cannibal, since he can down multiple in one attack (which is perfect for the blocking strategy), but it's more risky since he's slow.
Bigger maps are his weakness, but you should mostly be fine.

Got Pop Goes The Weasel on a few Killers.
This is my only choice of "slow down the game" Perks, any others are too weak to me.
Hex: Ruin is more often the obvious choice, but it's gone too quick due to poor placement and repairing through it isn't a huge slowdown at all.
You can just repair Generators normally and when you walk around looking for the next one, chances are you'll find the Hex Totem, ESPECIALLY on the older maps.
PGTW however says "######### YOU!" to 20 seconds of repair time and then repeatedly whispers "######### you" as it regresses it even more.
Yeah, you can only activate it after a hook, but honestly it's still enough to put time pressure on them.
Even though i rank this Perk the best "slow them down" Perk, it's still nothing amazing: Just tap the Gen to stop regressing, and then catch up to the 20 seconds. It makes it a weaker Perk among the stronger Perks.

On a final note: Here's a build almost no one ever uses...

    Hillbilly.
    Distressing.
    Speed Limiter + Thompson's Moonshine.

Then just zoom across the map infinitely.
I find it fun to see how long i can go without bumping into anything.

  • @Poweas said:
Are you high? The clown is a speed limiter killer. He limits the survivors speed. Why tf do you want another version?

Cannibal is a copy-paste + bit of edit.

  • Well it always bothered me that Survivors gain a speed burst when hit and don't lose any base speed when in the Injured Health State, but i'm not asking for that ridiculous buff for Killers.

  • I'd prefer if the Survivors lock in at 10 seconds, but the Killer still at 5.

Killer can still see Items for a reason after all, otherwise that'd be removed already.
It's of little use with last-second switches.

  • A guy who's banned from PC.

  • Your problems with the devs are not mine.
I'll buy it if i want to.

That dev doesn't seem "high" btw.
I mean, you said it yourself: People switch opinions massively each day shortly after a Killer release.
Then she's OP, then she's a worse Wraith, it's all over the place.
Yet you want the devs to take their opinions now? When they're, again, all over the place?
    Bad idea.

From personal Prestige experience, if it actually reduces the amount, it does it (almost) unnoticeably so.
SAW's my favorite movie out of the 4 licenses DbD's got so far.

Could we have any confirmation about this? The Wiki says otherwise. And honestly, with prestige 3 Wraith I think I see more greens and yellows than usual.

I know the wiki says different, but my own experience is very different from it, thus i can't fully relate to it.
Most characters that i Prestige usually end up in about the same way in terms of Add-on counts.
The only times they differ is when i go for different Add-ons after Prestiging due to my preferences of Add-ons changing.

The Pig. In fact I was planning to start playing her more once I finish collecting every single perk III for Wraith. I am a fan of SAW movies, and love the characterization of Amanda Young as The Pig... Although I would have love to see Mark Hoffman in The Game too!

My main concern with The Pig is Prestige. Combat Straps is a common addon, and without it she feels slow to play. But Prestige reduces the number of common addons you get! Or at least that is what the wiki is telling me. Feels bad to having to choose to either Prestige her or being optimal most of the games.
