  • About half of these are simply inaccurate. More play time will show it.

  • This was an idea I had for The Boogeyman actually. Teleports to lockers and can yank survivors inside if they come to close to one while he was in range. Would make them pick their loops more carefully and away from lockers.

  • You literally have this completely backwards...the game is heavily unbalanced..in favor of survivors.

  • Worth it until she got dumpstered this patch with the sounds and her blindness in spirit phase anyway.

  • What's funny is that the time for each side is so far out of balance that we could actually use your idea and make it a base totem and killers STILL wouldn't even be close to having a fair amount of time for their objective, that's how far out of balance it is.

Unfortunately though your idea would mainly just effect low ranks the most and not high ranks, which is where the actual time differences for each side (aka gen rushing) is really noticeable.

My biggest issue with Legion is definitely how slow they are, I like playing them and I love the idea of them. But it’s hard catching up to survivors, when they are slow and stunned.

If 4.5 MS was ever implemented, it would help close the gap easier while not making him as fast as other killers.

It’s a weird suggestion, but it could work.

then you dont know how to play him its super easy to get a kill on legion also you need a good build since i have thanatophobia, ruin, remember me,BBQ those are good with him im rank 1 killer and legion main and i can get 4k easy with addons

Unless you're running purple addons he's trash. Also, Thanata is trash as well, it's a placebo effect if you think it's actually helping you a lot. Having to chase someone as a Huntress with no hatchets for the down is never going to be viable unless you're playing against potatoes.

well rank 1 and i have thanata and guess what i get 3k and sometimes 4k

    Anecdotal doesn't mean much

You also forgot about how terrible her vision is in phase walk now as well. They need to just put it back how was it was before.

  • How to counter play a Huntress chasing you down with no hatchets? That's essentially what you're equating.

You learn to play. I don't mean this in a derogatory way at all either, this is literally the answer to your issue. A person with even a decent level of understanding in this game can loop a Legion chasing them with no power for an entire 5 gens. You just need to practice. No Legion should ever be M1 hitting you with no power use unless you are misplaying really, really badly.

  • Well some killers need changes more than others, but some of their changes are much easier than others as well.

Michael: Just throw him his multi stalk back and eliminate the stalk limit per survivor. Pretty quick, pretty easy
Pig: Higher crouch viewpoint, no sound on charge, combat straps/tape at base, Rule Set #2 baseline
Trapper: More traps on map, start with more on him at base, they should start on the map already armed, the re arming ultra rare should be removed and baked into Hangmans Trick for him to use.
Leatherface: Not sure for this guy but I think he probably needs the most help

There are also a lot of killers that are just simply too addon dependent. They need to do a pass through most the killers weakening their addons and putting a little more into their bases.

  • It's still really bad and quite pointless most the time. Oh I didn't scream from the Doctor? Who cares, the screams are meaningless anyway just like being found by the doctor is. Stealth doesn't matter when you can just loop him soon as he finds you. Hearing the coughing from the clowns gas does next to nothing for him anyway.

  • That new ultra is trash. The other changes are fine though

  • He's also oblivious to the fact they are running BBQ. Without BBQ it's barely more than survivor.

I like the idea. That said, a lot of the "tunneling" is because the game isn't balanced well.

Camping happens due to balancing reasons.

Tunneling is just playing optimally by nature, as survivor you dont switch the gen after reaching 66% either....

Somewhat, somewhat not. Full on tunneling wouldn't be applying any pressure.

Define "full on tunneling" for me, not quite sure what you mean with that

Literally ignoring any free hits on anyone other than your target. The tunneling you're referring to is applying pressure but if there's ever target choices you're simply picking the same guy which is indeed logical.

  • Well the game sounds are absolute garbage right now which is nerfing her heavily since she relies so much on hearing. That said, they said they are working on fixing the sounds. They did nerf her spirit phase as well though, looks like you're taking a flashlight to the face. She got pretty gimped currently with these aforementioned things. I refuse to play her until she's back to normal.

  • It's because people basically gave up on the devs actually buffing him with what he needed. Seems like they're gonna leave him in the trash.

That said I think he just needs normal killer move speed. His power doesn't warrant his slow speed.

  • I like the idea. That said, a lot of the "tunneling" is because the game isn't balanced well.

  • Trapper and Wraiths are both very lacking and need an update.

  • The daily rituals have been pretty disappointing for a while now. The rewards should be doubled..at least.

I won't go as far saying u are a bad survivor cuz i suck as survivor myself but even I manage juking or looping Legions on the fair occasion... only times i heavily fail in ur prescribed 30sec chases are either with the 3hit add-ons or i was cought up in a bad position... and flatout suck generally in chases... But i play Legion alot myself and i feel the counterplay myself: seeing no scratchmarks after a window/pallet vault or in areas with alot of corners like Haddonfield/the Game and such giving survivors chances to outjuking me.../ and 4hit mechanics always take longer than 30sec as the stun/chargetime as well position/situation needs be calculated to reactive frenzy for multiple takes alot of time by default, and if u not utilize ur bonus sprintboost/his own stun giving u more looping everytime before the 4th hit... or he passive chases u then... maybe tweaking ur playstile/perkbuild? like being more stealthy and stay away from teammates? maybe using iron will, fast and quit, lithe and/or no mither... yes no mither works strangely against Legion if u utilize the bravery... but upmost consider this: if u face such a Legion downing u so fast and precisely, maybe addmitting the fact he's a good player at core and utilize Legion to a point the majority still struggles with that. or u whine if u get EW3'd by a Shape or loopcancelled by a Clown? no and these killers require less skill and end chases faster than Legion

You're using some broken addons for him, otherwise he's trash.

Eh, you are right about why he has 110 ms. But his power is weird. It's sooooo close to being way to powerful, with no counter play. But as it sits, it isn't.

I've been preaching this for a while, but the problem isn't his power, or his MS.

The problem is his redundant/ useless add-ons. He simply doesn't have the utility he needs to pressure the survivors.

He has 2 OP add-ons that are PURPLE. Both of them let him 3 hit without breaking chase. Which really doesn't have much counter play. Without those add-ons, you can prolong chases against him. With them, you are going down in about 30 seconds. And I want to stress, you only need 1 of these 2 add-ons that do the same thing in different ways to do this.

Fuming Mixtape isn't very good. it isn't red quality for him. A red add-on should be stand alone game changing. On the Wraith, that power is. On someone that has to deplete their power to use it, it is not. It can be useful with one of the Cool Down add-ons. (They have 2, but i'm pretty sure one is actually useless, and only Rulers should be used)

Well his addons are a whole other story. Most of them are trash. Those 2 purples are his best tho and should've been the ultras. I'd argue both his current ultras are trash. Mixtape is not only bad but it's even just a copy paste from Wraiths ultra. The button lets you save a little time breaking pallets and points out the general area of survivors but that's it. You aren't even reaching survivors with your Feral Frenzy with his normal terror radius unless they're just dumb and stand still much less trying to reach people map wide, the power just doesn't last long enough.

If they increased the hits required to down someone in Feral Frenzy while also giving him full normal move speed I'd be fine with it. Reduces his tunnel while also making his normal M1 chase for the down actually viable. He's a tough one to balance it's true but that's on the devs for the bad design that made him that way and while very easy to make too strong, he's currently sitting in the dumpster.

  • Honestly all the slow killers are slow because they must rely on their power to down. Legion is slow but his power essentially doesn't down, it's just supportive for added game pressure which is essentially what all the powers that full speed killers have do.

His power either needs to be able to down in some fashion or another, or he needs full speed. His power doesn't warrant the slow speed.

Being required to be a Huntress with no hatchets chasing someone for a down is never going to be viable.

I'd personally prefer them to just give him full move speed and leave his power to simply be there for added pressure and slowing the game down. Also, his M1 attacks should have never been resetting the cd on his power, that's just dumb and bad design.

  • Would be nice to see some different color pallets used on the maps, most of them look pretty similar in that aspect.

  • An end game time limit for the last person is something that should've been added over 2 years ago. Can't believe it hasn't been done yet.

  • @Ryuhi said:
The comment about the button was that they will think that you're right near them, or even risk not knowing that you ARE near them. Monitor and Abuse is absurdly good on legion, so mindgames about his actual position can make survivors play very careful/scared, or power through it and ignore when he's actually very close. Its similar mindgames to the wraith's global bell addon: people are forced to ignore it due to its frequency, and thats how he gets it to work in his favor.

So you're essentially referring to ONLY a scare factor in this all, not actually any sort of strength of viability.

  • @Ryuhi said:
no, i dont agree with that because it prevents them from being ABLE to use lockers. there's a difference between people not taking an option and denying their ability to do so. If you really think the duration for the exposed effect is weak, use the iridescent button, and get a frenzy hit on someone else after you get the notification. guaranteed to make em ######### their pants at least once.

Except that next frenzy hit does not count for an exposed hit so that's pretty meaningless. That iridescent button pinging their location is also on the verge of pointless as you can't even get to someone it's pinging in the normal range unless they just stand there like a doof, much less trying to reach a person it's pinging map wide. He gonna M1 chase them as a huntress with no hatchets at that point? Assuming they even stay there...

  • It would still be a trash addon. Only an idiot is getting hit by her ambush. Her crouch/ambush is what needs fixing. Higher crouch viewpoint, no sound on ambush and combat straps at base.

  • I main spirit at rank 1. The scratch marks are only to get you in the general area, 90% of your reads are going to be based on hearing. Get good headphones, listen carefully and start to predict their moves. For this reason I also highly suggest Stridor. It helps you with those reads even more, especially with the prominence of Iron Will these days. It depends what rank you are playing at to know how smart the survivors are, but at rank 1 they usually expect you to phase around the pallet so you can get a lot of free hits by just standing still and pretending to phase, they will hop right over into you. 90% at least of my hits are coming out of phase, if you're chasing too much without your phase then you probably need more phase practicing and you're handicapping yourself by just M1 chasing. Most spirits I see make the mistake of not using their phasing enough.

BBQ and MYC is godlike on her, I would never drop them. You can ping pong from hook to down over and over. Last perk I'd take for slowing the game down, Sloppy or Ruin your choice, I usually take Ruin.

Last note, don't get discouraged using her right now. With the latest patch she is bugged to all hell. Her vision is currently crippled in phase walk and survivors sounds have been muffled extremely. The devs have said these will be getting fixed soon though.

  • Iron Maiden is a meme. It's a trash perk. You literally waste an extra perk slot to make BBQ functions how it did before essentially. The exposed needs to last longer and not tell the survivor they're exposed so that they don't know you have it until you at least get some value out of it. Currently as soon as they see the exposed effect they are never using a locker again.

  • If your losing to a tombstone at all then I'm sorry but either you or your team is just bad. At rank 1 they are generally lucky if they even get 1 person...IF that.

  • They already tried this, it didn't work. You don't need to punish killers for camping, you need to fix the reason WHY they camp. The answer to that is because the game isn't properly balanced. Balance the game, camping will go down tremendously.

  • I'm not really keen on any more licensed killers simply because they are all left in the dumpster and weak.

  • Feeling it until I saw the tbag

  • @Dokta_Carter said:

The thing is. Some think that you camping when your patroling.
    I.E.
Hooked next to one of the last three gens.
    "Camper for coming back"

Or "camping" after all the exit gates are open and you have 1 person on the hook. Like what is the killer supposed to do, go pick some apples on the other side of the map? There's literally no reason to leave at that point and I don't blame any killer for camping once gates are open.

  • @The_Crusader said:
Isn't this just due to the audio issues?

I don't remember it being a problem pre-update. But yeah footsteps, breathing, and groans of pain all seem a bir quiet right now and music is definitely too loud. Stridor doesn't seem anywhere near as effective as it was pre-update either.

Hopefully they can fix the audio soon.

    This ^^

All of these issues are just because of the games current audio problems from the patch which the devs have already acknowledged and are working on.

  • @Peanits said:
I will say that if you're using their power to repeatedly hit the same survivor, you're using it wrong. It's designed to injure multiple survivors at once, not to get kills. Hitting the same survivor repeatedly with it is just shooting yourself in the foot.

Whether or not it needs buffs I won't argue, though.

So after that we're supposed to chase someone down for the second hit with an M1 attack as a Huntress with no hatchets? That's the intent?

  • @Condorloco_26 said:

    @Peanits said:

That would essentially just give the survivor a guaranteed escape. You can already do that now by hitting the survivor, or if you are the survivor, by powering generators once you figure out where the hatch is. If the killer goes to your generator after you power it, you just slip out the hatch. If they don't, you just keep powering generators and go for a gate, they can't guard the hatch and both gates at once.

Yes that's the intention. I mean, the hatch is already 95% (rough guess) a free exit anyway as you've mentioned, but at least there won't be any more face to face heavy squatting. Man give killers the chance of kicking the survivor's butt into the hatch at least.

Powering both gates would be another free escape for the last survivor just like we have now, that would be a pointless change.

  • @Wolf74 said:
All spread out. 3 work while 1 is chased. 3 gens can get done in 80 secs max.
So there are 2 gens left and even if the killer manages to keep 2 survivor busy, the other gens can get done in another 80 seconds.
That's just 160 seconds for ALL gens to get done.
so we are well under 3 minute games and maybe 2 or 3 hooks for the killer while the survivor only have the gates left to do.
So good survivor can finish the match in 4 minutes.
    That's insane.

    This ^^

You can look at the math and see how extremely unbalanced the time is in favor of survivors. You're only chance is hoping they're bad and waste a lot of time.

  • It''s not just you, the killer is extremely weak and that was intended by the devs.

  • He's right where the devs wanted him that's true...in the trash. He's legit worse than Freddy, that's how trash he is. He's only good against idiots or rank 20's.

  • Needs that and a lot more.

  • He's overall been received pretty poorly. The majority of the community thinks he's pretty trash (he is).

I think that rather than looking for the best solutions to the games issues it's more of looking for a balance between best and least amount of work needed.

But here's the thing - most of this stuff already exists.
At the moment, we have four potential objectives for Survivors in the form of interactible items that do not require perks: The Pustulas from the Halloween event, totems, chests, and generators. The programming is already (mostly) done - interactions, spawning rules, etc.. They'd just need to add the visual part (notifications, models, auras in different colors) and figure out which sets of goals would be fair.

They'd probably be a little hesitant about entirely changing the game that much. That's a lot of risk for an already successful game to change it completely. We'd probably be more likely to convince them to use your ideas for an alternate game mode than change the base one.

Don't get me wrong it would be nice if they did, I just can't see them even considering that much. They've said themselves on the streams how they are extremely hesitant about making big changes to how the base game plays since they want it preserved.

To be fair, although I call it "a complete overhaul", it's just changing the way objectives work. I know they're hesitant to make big changes, but that unwillingness is bad for the longevity of the game. If new content plays exactly like the old content, it won't make a difference.

I agree, it is bad for the longevity of the game.

I actually like your ideas and agree with the goals you put forth for it.

That said, this would basically be an entirely new game with these changes or at least a new game mode. Like you mentioned this would be quite a lot of work for them to undertake and based on their past commitments/times they took for changes/knowing their rough team size, I think this would be out of their reach for consideration. Even if they did undertake it, this would be a beginning to end like year and a half undertaking for them at least. So I see the issue less with the changes and more just that I think it's too much for them.
