  • Yeah it's hurting my killer game play a lot

  • @not_Queen can you make sure they know about this blinded spirit vision in her phasing?

  • All quite lackluster to me

I don't understand why people overlook this. It is a very important problem and the effect doesn't just make it difficult but also not really good looking or anything. It must be exactly the same before.

Exactly. I main spirit to get around all this games terrible killer balance at rank 1 and now they're messing with my main girl. It needs to be the exact same as her normal vision like it was before. It's much harder to see now.

    Thanks !

Is Stridor working as well as they want it to? Seems quieter than it should be.

  • I noticed this as well. It's much harder to see survivors with the new graphics and it definitely does get blurry at times. This was definitely a buff for survivors even if it wasn't intended that way.

I play the spirit and notice essentially no difference except the graphics are nicer. Might be your graphics settings? Granted I play on PS4, so I don’t know how the computer was effected by the update.

    Same with Freddy.

It's night and day difference. Her spirit phase is like you're getting blinded in the face with a flashlight.

@Malakir camping has and will always be an issue. Its down to the player and their playstyle. They can camp all they want while survivors power the gens and win the game. Thats their choice if they decide to do so. How long have we had B&C now and camping has still been rampant?

You don't seem to fundamentally understand why lots of camping is happening. The majority of the camping is happening because the game is unbalanced, not because players just want to.

I feel like this community is never going to be satisified with any future killers as well. Happens everytime a Killer is released. I feel bad for BHVR.

It happens not because of the community, but because they consistently keep releasing killers in a ######### state.

The problem with buffing survivor stealth is that survivor looping hasn't been nerfed in anyway.

So what happens when these stealthy survivors are caught? They go straight to looping.

So the looping to waste a killers time is the same, but now survivors find it easier to hide so they can waste the killers time even more.

Yeah I'm actually down for them increasing the capability of making stealth jukes/hides mid chase so we're not stuck in the pallet loop fiesta we have now. However, I wanted those to come with reduced pallet strength simultaneously, not on top of the current pallets we have.

OP missed the entire fundamentals of the game.

In general this new wave of fresh accounts are making a lot of "silly" threads, to not be too offensive

Why so many people joined at once? It's rather curious tbh

Anyway yeah as said before even survivors have a ton of aura perks and a ton of counters against killers perks just by playing accordingly. Add more stuff to a braindead level isn't the way

Especially distortion that makes dance with me useless since it has it built in.. it really pisses me off

Basically. The new player wave is just from the new DLC, it's to be expected.

It's quite annoying how most the counters we get as a killer we have to waste a perk slot while for survivors almost all killer perks/actions can simply be countered by playing differently and not even having to use a new perk, yet we still get complaints and get things like Distortion showing up. Like 7 counters for BBQ not even needing a perk wasn't enough.

  • I'm fine with multiple pages of the same thing. It helps to get the point across to them and realize the severity of it all. With how often they don't actually do what's needed assuming the worst is quite reasonable until they tell us otherwise.

Or... Or... As everyone has been saying, make the aura hiding thing a passive effect with the perk Distortion. That way, you have to waste a perk slot in order to be potentially immune to auras as killers have to waste perk slots to counter survivor perks or items. Of course the passive effect should not remove any tokens.

This may take the heat off if done, and might make everyone happy. This is just my two cents on this subject.

    THIS ^^

If they at least had to waste a perk for it I'd be fine with it.

Iron Maiden would also actually be at least playable if they made it not tell the survivor they had Exposed/make it last longer. Then at least they would keep using lockers and not know to stop using it unless you actually got value out of it. Currently the timer is way, way too short and once they see it, they are never using a locker again. Wasted perk slot currently.

I thought Spirit and Nurse were bad because they down you faster than you can look, but Legion is just as annoying as Freddy and his dreamworld and doc with his madness (doc isn't that bad tho) Besides that, we had some games where more people escaped and some where nobody escaped so far

You shouldn't even be healing, there's no reason to, his deep wound won't down you.

    Uhm yes it does?

Deep Wounds does not down you. He literally has to M1 with a normal attack...while moving at hag speed...

For him to down you actually with Feral Frenzy he has to hit you at least 4 times...that includes the fatigue time after hits and his power fully recovering multiple times to be used again...

So what happens at the end of the bleed out timer?

Nothing, because unless someones brain dead they have mended the Deep Wounds away or the timer hasn't even gone down at all because they are in a chase still. To go down from the Deep Wounds timer you literally had to escape the killer and then do nothing.

I don't know how you play Legion, or how the killers you play against play him, but I get hit with Frenzy and then he chases someone else so I have to mend myself and - since I don't wanna get surprised half life - I heal to full health because I don't use SB to run away as soon as he appears.

If you are full healing against Legion then you are playing wrong, that's the issue. You are wasting gen time. There is no reason to heal against him. Mend and then do gens.

  • That would be a pretty stupid reason if they did. Iron Maiden is a trash perk. Soon as they see you have it they are never using a locker again and then you just wasted 2 perk slots JUST to make BBQ function as it did before.

The real reason they nerfed it was because too many rank 20's complained about BBQ rather than actually learning to adapt using the multiple counters for it that already exist.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Now that's actually worthy of a LOL button if there was still one.

Deep Wound and creating pressure/wasting time? A hilarious joke, mate.

I guess none of you took into consideration how much time Legion loses using his pitiful excuse of a power AND also as a 110% Killer. That time you make the Survivors "waste" is pretty much compensated by that.

    This ^^

You waste more of your killer time than the survivor time you wasted. Literally serves no function.

  • Agreed.

Having to go back to previous killers and give them heavy updates/reworks is not only annoying to players because they weren't where they should have been to begin with but because it causes unneeded extra workloads on the dev time while they're busy trying to work on new content.

Yet here we are still with the devs making extra work for themselves for down the road. A vast majority of the killers are still way too addon dependent and the new killers coming out have the same issue (more work down the road for them). Then we look at even killers who have already received work. Wraith was made better but once again ONLY with strong addons. Trapper got a rework and is still bottom of the barrel bar like Freddy or Leatherface.

The devs have enough to deal with that if they are going to take the time to release new killers and rework old ones it needs to be done well enough that it isn't once again adding more work for them later down the road. Especially when reworks/changes/fixes taking MONTHS at the LEAST. I mean look at how long we've been waiting on totem fixes/DS rework...well over a year. I'm simply saying that the devs are making extra work for themselves instead making it easier on themselves doing it right the first time.

Yeah LITERALLY the only part of Legion that makes him 4 people is some skins...that you have to pay extra for...

Except it isn't. Feral Frenzy and the abilities tied to it is what makes it four people in that you're everywhere essentially and see everyone.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Nothing about Feral Frenzy or its ability shows how they're 4 people at all. "he runs fast and see's a lot of places because he's good at running" THEREFOR that shows how it's lots of people. That's basically what you're saying.

Because getting the first hit is VERY easy, you would then just need to follow the survivor for 30 sec until they go down. We played that version for more than a week internally and it was absolutely terrible. Even Killer felt it was super cheap and unexciting.

We also learned this from the Pig Reverse Bear trap.

We also played with the 4.6 speed for a long time and to make him balanced, the power required to be WAY much slower than the current state (with longer cooldowns), this version was considered way less fun to play with and against.

How large is this "We" group you keep mentioning and why does this "We" group decide what is fun and not fun for the rest of the community? Why wasn't there an extended PTB where community ideas where implemented (or the ideas you listed above) where the community at large could test and decide for themselves what felt "fun"?

This is starting to sound like EA when they said "you just don't know what you want".

    Edited for spelling error.

This "we" group is probably the same group, that played here:

    Switch to 0:46

    Watch the gameplay, then cry.

PS. Hear what mattheu says, really good #########, telling a lot how devs treat killers.

What bothers me here is he uses a argument that makes no sense against making good/strong killers. The claim that they would have to make stronger and stronger killers.. IE "A little stronger than Billy, then stronger than that ect" When they could simply.. and this is a shocker here I know.. Make them on par with Billy. Heck on par with Huntress even or Myers. They do not have to make them stronger and stronger.. I really do not get why he was thinking that at all.

( Not to mention the bad gameplay shown but I am letting that slide. )

    EDIT
There is also the constant "Its fun its fun!" To who? I did not really find it fun that it takes over 4 hits to down someone as Legion.

It's because he's using a strawman argument. No one is asking them to make killers stronger and stronger, we just want rank 1 viable. They don't seem to get it though.

  • Yeah LITERALLY the only part of Legion that makes him 4 people is some skins...that you have to pay extra for...

It gives lockers more use. Before they were just for new players to be scared in and for the occasional Q&Q play. This way lockers can actually be used to hide more effectively, rather than being a death sentence because the killer sees your goofy statue shaped aura sitting there free for the picking.

I do agree that OoO probably shouldn't do that, though I don't see any huge problem with it either. Keeping track of the killer is already fairly easy. The perk usually doesn't see much use, and when it does, it's to get the killer's attention and get them to waste their time searching an area for you.

BBQ is going to be even better now with Iron Maiden. Survivors who try to hide their aura will be exposed and have the location revealed anyways.

Regarding Freddy though, he's going to be reworked. This is not to nerf Freddy.

Iron maiden is useless as survivors stop using lockers once they realize they're exposed. So now you need to waste a perk slot just to get BBQ to the level it was at before.

Also OoO doesn't get much use? Well I wish I had your games. It's quite common for me to see it, swf groups use it a lot.

    THIS +1.

If it's purpose was just to waste time then you failed. By The time legion has tagged the second survivor the first one already has their mend half way done. Let's not even get to the point that none of that scenario is actually gonna get you a down either because then you're just chasing them like a hag with no traps. Not like they're gonna waste time healing either because why should they? He's no threat while injured.

  • I main spirit so it was HIGHLY noticeable and very bad. It has made her spirit walk vision much, much worse.

  • @The_Crusader said:
Yeab it definitely needs to be longer. Right now sprint burst cripples it.

Not to mention thst you need to use it to get around some of the larger maps. Yet it just doesnt last long enough at all.

Not only last longer, but most the maps are just so damn big you won't get any pings for other survivors to head towards anyway.

  • @PhantomMask20763 said:
I'm not sure if this is way too OP or not but I came up with this idea that once a survivor successfully mends the deep wound, if they remain injured, the next time legion hits them with Frenzy they get downed instead of going into DW. This would help with the whole survivors not wanting to heal against him because if they don't heal they suffer the consequences

That was my thoughts as well. If they actually had to heal up as well as the Mend action then spreading that pressure would actually be worth the time you'd make them waste. Just the Mend action isn't worth it, you'll waste more time doing it than they waste getting rid of it.

His power doesn't last long enough to actually reach the other survivor pings and hit them in time unless they are literally stacked on top of you for some odd reason. This isn't even getting into how useless his Deep Wounds is even IF he WAS able to reach the other survivors in time.

Well DW is not that bad honestly. I played against a Legion that was doing a good job of spreading the damage, and needing to Mend did slow us down quite a bit. The problem I feel is just that his power doesn't last at all. It needs to be like 3 times longer to actually use it to pressure survivors.

By the time you hit the second guy, the first ones Mend is already half way done. If he's not stupid he also isn't going to heal after that. So you didn't gain literally anything out of that transaction except giving the other 2 survivors free gen work time. I think the DW itself is still quite awful and is currently serving no purpose.

You guys nailed the two biggest issues for Legion: his/her power duration is too short and there's no penalty for not healing against him/her.

Devs should definitely increase the duration so he has more of a chance to get to other survivors.

As for the penalty for not healing, here are 2 ideas.

No. 1 is based on TruTalent's suggestion of completely removing Legion's terror radius and red stain while not in Feral Frenzy. Instead, how about for each injured survivor Legion's terror radius while not in Feral Frenzy is reduced by 8 meters and at a terror radius of 0 meters Legion's red stain is removed.

No. 2 is for each injured survivor, Legion's base movement speed is increased by 1.5 percent.

I like idea 1 the most, however there's an issue with that. The terror radius is just helping you sneak closer to people, it still won't help you in a chase against a wounded guy. Maybe a Feral Frenzy strike against a target that isn't afflicted by Deep Wounds yet but IS injured will make the Deep Wounds timer start already half way down so there's way less time to mend.

  • LITERALLY the only aspect of this killer that's a "split personality" as he was sold to us, is by buying their alternate skins from the shop...lol

In my opinion, the deep wound timer should go down while you mend, but not kill you. It should instead only kill you if you then stop mending. So, if you stop mending for something and the deep wound timer has reached the bottom, you will automatically be put into dying. This will improve the idea of deep wound because it doesn’t make it so easy to escape. It is a killer’s power after all. If the legion began coming towards you while you were mending but if you stopped you would be put into dying state. It would be tense as it would be a race between you mending and the legion finding you. This game is supposed to be a horror game so the tension is the sort of thing we need. Killers aren’t scary anymore.

I also think that you shouldn’t be able to med halfway and the rest after. If you stop mending, the progress bar should be reset. This adds an extra challenge to deep wound and makes it a bit less pointless. Right now, survivors can just mend straight away after a chase and be perfectly fine.

I think both of these changed along with the ones mentioned in the original post here could turn this useless status effect into something that can actually be a threat to survivors.

"In my opinion, the deep wound timer should go down while you mend, but not kill you. It should instead only kill you if you then stop mending. This is already how mend currently works.

You do realize how deep wound works, right? They can only run from you for a limited time period. Which is generally shorter than it takes a normal killer to get a 2nd hit.

Saying he's the most difficult killer to down survivors with would have made sense. But the most loopable killer? Obvious close minded bias is obvious.

How is he not? His power doesn't down, so you have to chase without your power at 110. You won't catch any good survivor with that slow movement speed.

Because he invalidates the gap increasing from pallets and windows. Doesn't matter how crap he is at downing survivors. He still counters looping better than any other killer except maybe Nurse. You wouldn't say cheetas are slow because they can't fly. Likewise, it doesn't matter that they can't fly; they can run fast as hell.
