I don't agree solo queue survivors are underpowered.
Survivor meta has very little counterplay for the conventional killers and it doesn't require SWF to be enabled.
When you play Legion for example against 4 survivors with Dead Hard, Resilience and Spine Chill chases just will last too long. There's nothing you can do about it.
Not every killer plays nurse with double range add-ons or blight with alchemist ring, they have to think about the other 26 killers in the game.
Before you boo me, I solo Q 95% of the time I play Survivor.
I totally agree with you, my friend. Actually the game is balanced for the Solo Q. If 4 smart survivors play against an equally smart killer then DBD is almost fair (it always depends on the RNG of course). The problem is, today's Solo Q survivors just keeps getting worse. So I'm happy when I have mates who do gens. If they're chased for more than 30 seconds on top of that, I'm totally happy.

While it's clear that devs want to make it easier for killers (again as always!) when it comes to looping, other than that it is a HUGE nerf. We won't be able to just simply hide when injured and not be found, or sneak into a hooked person without being noticed. Same applies when one wants to go for a pallet/flashlight save while injured.
The killer can find us anywhere 24/7 now. This is bs!
Trust me, against me, the worst Spirit EU West, it's still a top perk. I'll probably phase 10 meters through the survivors because I only hear their moans at 25% volume :D

Without Botany Knowledge, this perk has been okay, arguably bad. With the healing speed nerf, this perk on its own is gonna be trash. Yeah, if you pair it with Botany Knowledge, it's good, but that means you always have to pair something with Self-Care to make the perk worth equipping.
In solo queue, people are still gonna be bringing Self-Care, I'm sure. And that means even longer self-caring in the corner while a teammate is dying on a hook, and gens are begging to be worked on.
People who know how and when to use Self-Care properly/efficiently will have no good reason to equip the perk. Why bother, since it's so slow...
I can't see a single good thing this nerf will bring to the table, aside from making it a bit harder for high level players who usually use it.
So yeah.... what is the incentive for anyone to ever equip this perk anymore? (if not pairing it with Botany)
If people keep playing with self care, it's a killer buff.

yeah base-kit 10% stbfl and 0.2 second loss on survivor's sprint burst from health-states will reduce power-lvl of shift-w for survivor. mini-brutal strength will also help.
Yes, I agree. I know it doesn't sound like much, but in DBD, seconds make the difference between win and loss.

No, it is not that way that works:
When you kick a gen with Overcharge the regression goes from 100% to 400% in this 30 seconds, after that the gen will keep regressing with the 400% as long a survivor go stop it.
If you have Call of brine, instead of the regression starting at 100%, it will start at 200%. So combine CoB with Overcharge will make the gen regress from 200% to 400% in 30secs.
Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. I thought the 400% debuff would activate immediately π

When using hope you now cleanse totems and open chests more slowly. That's a big enough downside to keep me from touching that one ever again.
As for Pharmacy, I regularly run that perk and the changes made certainly do not instill me with confidence. I've been using it as a fun casual perk but now I feel as though I'm going to be forced to run circle of healing over it.
WGLF I may have been too quick to judge. The buff it was given sounds great but I'm worried that the playstyle I had built around it may not feel as satisfying.
I think you mean Calm Spirit and not Hope.

i wonder if overcharge will work with call of brine at all?
I was wondering that too, but I think for the first 30 seconds the 400% debuff is from Overcharge and after that it's the 200% debuff from Call of Brian.

Like from a pure power standpoint and mechanical skill, I've played every single killer but blight feels like he has the hardest power to learn and master. That's honestly why I feel fine with blight being super good because it's like, if you can get that good with him you deserve to do well because he's just hard to play. I def feel like he's harder than nurse tbh.
I think Blight, Billy and Nurse are some of the hardest killers. Nurse is all about muscle memory and prediction, while Billy and Blight are harder to control. Which of these you find most difficult is subjective. I mean I even know god nurses who struggle playing M1 Killers.

Yeah, a good while back I did a little personal challenge where I had to 2 hook everyone before killing anyone, and somehow I came to love a more roaming style (you'll notice that all my favorite killers are either massively mobile, can teleport or, well, are Artist).
Trickster...sometimes you'll get a bad map or a tough start and you'll have to tunnel someone out, but I never do that from word one.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3012995#Comment_3012995
I love Spirit.
I'm also terrible on Spirit. I've got terrible hearing in one ear, so you'll literally see me cocking my killer's head from side to side while playing to hear people.
I run MDR/Blossom without any shame on her, otherwise survivors are treated to the image of me attacking the first audio source I find.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3012978#Comment_3012978
PH, along with Oni and Billy is the only killer left that I haven't really put time into learning. I'll get around to it, but the fact that I have to go out of my way to get BBQ stacks is a turn off.
That's the same way I play killers. And I also prefer killers with high mobility or some kind of map pressure (like Artist, Doc)
Don't worry about your Spirit. I'm probably the worst Spirit EU West, but I love her too :D I'm having trouble with directional sounds in DBD. I really don't know how Spirit mains handle this. That's why I also like to play her with MDR and Blossom.

Stats from January 2022. Average escape rate is about 45%. That includes 4-man, 3-man and 2-man SWF. Solo is probably around 35-40%. It will also depend on the region. In US many killers are meming, in Europe there are more try-hard killers.
My personal escape rate is around 25-35% in solo (Europe) and about 35-40% in 2-man SWF without comms with a very good looper on my side.
I would be cautious drawing any conclusions from this thread, people are more likely to brag their absurdly high escape rate then to admit they escape a small fraction of their games. And most people don't actually know how often they escape without taking notes of every game. Some killer-mains will overestimate their escape rate and survivor mains can underestimate it.
What we can be sure about is that the current AVERAGE solo escape rate is definitely not above 40%. Most likely it is even lower.
In US many killers are meming, in Europe there are more try-hard killers. Then tell us how you know how every killer from Europe and USA plays? Are you an artificial intelligence monitoring every single match in DBD? Or do you like to spread prejudice based on your own experience or speculation?

Oh, how quaint, you hide insults that everyone is dumb behind "modesty". So, in my 1200K hours, half of time being matched with 1K-5K surivors, I still have maximum escape streak 3. Also thousand-hour-experienced players dying almost as fast as 500h ones. Also camping and tuneling completely destroys half of teams.
So, again, it's just everyone is dumb, right? Or you just some coy looping god? Or there is myphical soloq servers with gods only, and I never been there?
I didn't call anyone dumb. So please stop putting words in my mouth that I never said. As I said, I'm not a professional gamer, but I'm still better than average and still good enough to get through most of my matches. There are matches where I play really decent. And there are matches where I have my Baby Meg moments. And I only play at certain times. Maybe you should start reading more than the first sentence of my comments?
If you lose so often after 1200000 hours (ππ€£), you should ask yourself if it's always because of your bad mates or the meanie killer.

This is more the reason you all think solo is "bad".
Additionally, I guarantee the game currently isnt balanced around swf.
BECAUSE THERE ARENT INGAME DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SOLO AND SWF.
The difference between dolo and swf are twofold.
- You're more likely to care about a friend.
- Its easier to set up voicechat with a friend.
IF the game currently is/was balanced around swfs using third party tools to get stronger than intended ingame, why the hell is the killer community blamed for it?
Thx for the meme :D That's exactly what I think about most comments here.

Well, I think we all have our win streak. A month ago, I had a 12 solo Q escape in a row.
And sometimes, I have a dozen of matches where I die. Sometimes, it's more balanced, like I died twice then escape three times and died twice again.
Solo Q can be terrible but fantastic as well. It depends.
But I think it's kind of impossible to escape every match, every day, with zero death for a long time. Even as a SWF.
12 escapes in a row? Congratulations! I mean I know a streamer who escaped more than 30 matches in a row, but he plays absolutely selfish. I agree with you. Everyone has their bad luck. I was also often in the low MMR hell when MMR was tested. But all in all, my Solo Q experience isn't nearly as bad as a lot of people here are making it out to be. That's why I said that I only play Solo Q at certain times. It's no longer worth it in the evenings after 8 p.m., because that's when most of the good survivors are playing with their mates in a SWF and only the bad survivors are left.

I wouldn't discribe myself as anything near "god-like", lol, never will, but I guess that most of the time I am pretty decent. I tried time and time again to get my real life friends to play DBD, but they didn't get the bug and moved on to other games. So I befriended a few cool survivors while playing dbd, but 90% of my time as a survivor I play soloQ.
But my soloQ experience is far from the complaints you get all the time. Yeah, sometimes you are just unlucky and get camped to death on the first hook, sometimes you got real potatoes as team mates, but most of the time its a pretty fun thing and we get many cool situations during a match.
Heck, last game I got a Ghostface sticky to me, who just couldn't shake the sunk cast fallacy and chased me for full 3 gens till he finally downed me, not using DH at all made me pretty decent at looping and I can only recomment it to anyone, not using the big ol' crutch perk all the time will help you getting that much better at surviving, as it forces you to learn its system, not just how to game it.
I actually don't know what my win percentage is, but I don't care anything as much, as I do as a killer. If I get a bad game, it can be over in 2min and I am back in the Q again, where as a bad killer game can still drag on for 7/8mins easily. Thats why its easier to write a bad game off as a survivor, while they stick out much sorer as a killer. Yeah, as a survivor you could be slugged for 4min, but frankly, that has never ever happened to me. I know that some see it as a problem, and I don't deny that vitriolic killers like this exist, BUT I think the more toxic you play and try to tilt the killer, the more likely it is that they lash out and trying to ruin your game, ie slugging for 4 mins.
But my soloQ experience is far from the complaints you get all the time. Yeah, sometimes you are just unlucky and get camped to death on the first hook, sometimes you got real potatoes as team mates, but most of the time its a pretty fun thing and we get many cool situations during a match.Same experience to me. I have to completely agree with you on that, which I hate to do since you mocked me during my "Crop Top for Feng Min" campaign.

And no, hiding all game and going through the hatch wont be seen as a win.
Im not a god survivor, but still smart enough to survive most of my matches. Two weeks ago I had 11 escapes in a row and I can prove it, if you dont trust me. I did it on stream while my cat and puppy were fighting in the background. That means I even wasnt 100% focused on my matches. Hatch escapes count as a win for me, but Im not hiding or waiting for it. My perk build has become my lucky charm: DH, BT, CoH, Shadowsteps. There was one match against a baby GF and I gave him a free kill, but that still counts as a win to me, since I was already standing in an opened exit door.

Our two random mates were trash, only doing bones and chests. My friend did 4 1/2 gens on her own (!) while I was the Doc's toy. Both of us and one random mate escaped. The game lasts only 9 minutes.

Played killer all evening yesterday, and consistently got 4 dead hards every game as usual. Are these high mmr survivors so trash that they literally cannot play any match without their press E to escape perk? Like atleast have some dignity lol. So sick of this one perk extending chases and making me lose gens, and having to dance behind every survivor before swinging to bait out the dead hard. And guess what they even t-bag after using dead hard to reach the pallet and window, thinking as if they did something skillful, when they literally just pressed a button the devs gave them to outplay the killer. As a killer i never rely on Noed to give me some cheap kills, but every survivor shamelessly uses dead hard, even the thousands of hours survivors. Hope the devs put their big boy pants on and nerf this most unfair and most used perk to the ground.
Im DBD main and play a lot on both sides. So I wanna see DH nerfed.
Survivor mains will probably be mad for the first weeks after the DH nerf, like killer mains when ruin was reworked. DH is by far the strongest perk in the game. ThatΒ΄s why Im playing it until it is nerfed. DH allows me to be a lot greedier with pallets and even if I run one circle too much, DH for distance will save my ass. That means DH can easily extend a chase for 30 sec or more. Still it is possible to survive without DH or even without any perks. You just have to adapt and play more carefully.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3001076#Comment_3001076
I'm not a Doc main, but I play him a fair amount (less than I used to, admittedly, since Artist and Dredge were released) and tend to do decently with him, even against strong teams.
I generally run:
Discordance - amazing on him, as you'll frequently know where at least 2 people are.
Pain Resonance - he needs all the time he can get to down people.
Agitation - see above. Plus, synergy with:
Starstruck - his blast allows you to locate people really fast after a hook.
He also works well with Discordance, PR, DMS, Devour. Iron Maiden is decent on him too, as people often instinctively get into lockers to dodge blasts.
Every killer who only camps is annoying (except an adorable insidious bubba <3). Against average survivors there is no need to play this way. People who facecamp early in the match are mostly baby killers. DMS and PR are insanely good on him.

Can the survivor correctly determine 1) Where to exit the loop? and 2) Is that exit before the remnant teleport becomes viable? The quicker the survivor figures those two things out the more time they buy to make it to the next loop to repeat. Not all survivors are going to reconcile fast enough.
Kind of similar to Artist's Exit Loop Flowchart.
and that

His anti-loop really makes no sense. You charge the shock, hit them, they're paralysed for 2.5 seconds but then you also slow down enough that you can't really make it to them in time. I've tried multiple strategies to make the shocks work. I've tried to not spam shock and time it right. Doesn't really work. Spam shocks just slow you down and do nothing. These were all on pretty standard loops I should add.
Every-time I would do this, I'd be just far away enough to miss. And it seemed like the only way to really utilize his power was when survivors were greedy and I was already on their ass. It's just so counter intuitive.
The delay as well is weird. I understand why it exists. It makes it so you cant just instant shock when they reach the pallet. But I also feel that's the way it should be. You already have to charge it. I wouldn't entirely remove it but it should be a bit faster.
Static blast also sucks. You have to do it like 3 times to put someone in tier 3. But the cool-down is a minute. Sure, it's good for finding survivors and potentially delaying the game. But Legion does the same in just a couple of seconds, with the potential to get a down from it. As well with not having to wait so long.
I love the idea of his character and his design. I just can't take him seriously. If anything he's a nuisance. And playing him feels like a waste of time. I wish he was the intimidating mad man he is in the lore.
- Watch me playing doctor against good survivors
- Go into your shame corner for at least 30 min
- Learn how to play Doctor efficiently
Doc is my second main. I mean seriously, Doc is not a beast like Nurse or Blight, but if u take the best add ons and perks on him u can even beat strong SWFs. It is all about learning when and where u have to use you shock/ static blast. I rarely face docs, he is probably more present in the low mmr. But when I face a doc, it is mostly a baby doc.

Well... you know... I just don't have that many left and save them for bad times (coughs)
