It depends what kind of fight it is. I'm quite chubby so, don't think you can fight me in food fights or drinking fights and hope to win them easy :P i also do self-defense so... xD

I like you. But it's not me who's up against you. @Sluzzy is the biggest entitled Survivor Main in these forums, so it could be interesting :3

Many already know me in this forum, but probably not all do so i will reintroduce myself (i doubt that any dev knows me lol). I play both sides, i don't care about "winning" killing/surviving, i only care for the fun that this game can give (as every other game i play). This game tho has a huge problem: it is very unfavourable and unfun towards the killer. I don't know why you favour so much survivors and i don't even care. What i wanna say is that every time you make it easy for survivors you are making it easy for FOUR survivors, in many situations, four survivors that are cooperating together against a lone player that is struggling already with killer powers and addons almost ever changing with every patch when survivors never changed their game style since the very beginning of this game. This created a situation where survivor became cocky and toxic to the level where the killer can't ever have fun in his games, but he has to try everything he has and many times fail since the game is waaaaaaay harder for him and maybe get a 2 man out of 3 or 4 hooks and still "lose" and so not be payed off at all. In my very honest opinion, you should really stop thinking that this game is a 1v1 whenever you do your balance changes and start thinking that this game is an actual 4v1 where the 1 atm is veeeeery behind in balance even in the 1v1 scenario. If you are worried about solos, just do the changes thinking the 4v1 and then buff solos. If you are worried about casual players or "bad players", casual players don't care about winning or losing and if they do they are not so casual ( ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ) while bad players can always improve and don't have to relay on devs making it easier for them. There are tons of content creators out there, namely your fog whisperers, that can help them out and even without ANY help from the outside, they would just have to try and play the game since they would finally make it through (this is how i do in ANY game i play.) Are you worried about op killers making it impossible for survivors to live their lives? Nerf them, change them, dismantle them and build it anew. You are really good at that :)

I've been very honest and i skipped all the lies behind almost every bad player hides like "this game is not unbalanced" or "there is no such thing as gen rush" so i hope you will be honest with yourself and start thinking about the real good and health of this game and then you will see that all your worries were in vain and that this game would become better and better.

P.s. i also wanted to add that i'm very disappointed for the upcoming changes that you announced to perks. You created monstrous survivors perks and gave them bt at base, while for killers you just destroyed their only chance to defend gens by nerfing to the ground pop and giving no notification with scourge and waiting at a gen to get to 0 for 30 seconds is not really my go while other gens could pop in the meantime :) so now the best option you gave killers is to camp and tunnel. Changes you made to kicks and stuff are really meaningless and bloodlust should not even exist for me, it's a bad brute force mechanic that gets rid of any gameplay survivor or killer could have and also the buff you made is quite useless 99% of the times so yeah...

Hope to hit the right ppl with this, have a nice day and gg all.

In fact I don't know you. But I would like to throw you in an arena with @Sluzzy and see who survives the fight.

I know if you don't take the game too seriously it can be quite fun but as killer it's not fun rn. I'm new compared to alot of people my age and am facing people that have thousands more hours than me. I'm not really having fun (for me personally) mostly because I don't know who I'm going against, which map, or how the gens will be spread out . Mix that with the "aim assist", rubber banding, sometimes ridiculously close pallets next to god windows really annoys me . If bots actually are implemented soon I'll buy killers, skins, etc . But until things change this is how I feel , and yes I suppose I could just leave and find another game that suits me better but I really enjoy the idea of this game .

Don't let the hours of play intimidate you. I know players with thousands of hours of play who are still trash. Also, you only get better by playing against experienced opponents. But you're right, RNG and map design can be really terrible.

  • Ignore all those rude idiots who always know better (I don't name names). Most of the time they are even worse themselves or make similar mistakes. At least you're brave enough to show us your gameplay. These guys definitely wouldn't do that.

Yes, you made some wrong decisions, but don't worry about it. The survivors weren't really that good either. We have to make mistakes to get better. That happens to even the best players.

Such flashlight bully squads are actually rare. But if you meet some, keep your cool. Always keep in mind that 2-3 survivors wanting to bully you is 2-3 fewer survivors working on gens :) Squads like this always get cocky at some point, and you have to take advantage of that.

I dont know why, but this game is so painful, seriously. i try play killer and every match survivors are so much experts and all of them know what do against me, so, OK i try play survivor and in opposite away, i have begginers as teammates and the killer i go against is tryhard and expert high level killer. im tired, independent how i will play, evey match is so frustranting. i dont experienced this 2 or more years ago.

Everyone needs a break from DBD once in a while, so dont worry. Otherwise, just try to improve your skills. If you feel you opponents are too strong, just use them as training.

The only way to have fun is SWF/meta perks and meatplant.

All I get on solo is wraiths on the small red forest map with only a few unsafe pallets or godtier blight/nurse on their best maps with console players for teammates.

I guess u mean "Shelter Woods", it is actually a "MacMillian Estate" map. And yes, RNG on this map can be very killer sided.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/333699/why-do-people-open-up-gates-straight-away

I always open the gates straigth away. 2(4)mins is plenty of time to get everyone healed up, organize a rescue atempts and even trade a few hooks. If the killer has Blood Warden, at least they get some value out of it instead of it getting countered by a tactic that anyone can use without nearly any drawbacks and it turns the egc a bit more interesting instead of just a dull twerking and flashlight clicking fest before zooming off.

Exactly! If people can't save their mate in 2-4 minutes, they won't be able to save their mate in 10 minutes. Once someone is hooked, a countdown starts whether the gates are open or not. 99% doors in Solo Q kill more people than they help. There are cases when 99% makes sense, but most solo randoms can't judge that.

This is the same guinea pig hive intelligence that advises people never to heal themselves against a plague.

@Bart I mean right? i think she's the most underrated killer, i played against her couple times maximum. She's kinda like the twins

Oddly enough, many consider her to be boring and super strong at the same time. I just wonder why so few play her when she's so super strong and easy to play... [Spoiler alert: You cant neither play her braindead nor is she too strong] I still remember Freddy's rework. Freddy was easy to play and way too strong. That's why he had a very high pick rate for a long time. But not The Artist.

At the end of the day, I don't care if she's popular or not as long as the devs don't change her (Maybe some addon changes, but not basekit). I mean I play a lot killers u rarely face in DBD (e.g. Wraith, Myers, Twins, Doctor, Billy, Clown). If they're not played too often, there's less risk of them being nerfed either 😂

  • @Shaped said:

I like that scary little girl and I still play her, but, yeah, she's really weak.

    • too much cooldown on TVs
    • survivors can deny your teleport
    • her built-in mori is useless
    • no antiloop
    • most addons are meh

The Drussy is better at everything Sadako can do. And he's not even that super strong.

  • The Artist is the best designed range attack killer in my opinion. I dont know why so many people dislike her :(

  • There may be some secret changes right now.

  • Unless Sluzzy asks for a nerf for the nurse, she's not op. So no.

  • @Renegade1054 said:

Or is there a better way?

I find myself equipping and usually wasting Mori's every round since I don't actually use them (unless someone is being very sweaty/clicky) but I find them more useful to check who is on 3rd hook so I can spread the hook and let them try to get saved.

I tried looking at other stuff (sorry I'm new, and I just can't remember who I hooked how many times) like the HUD. it has total hook number but not per player. Checking the HUD icons doesn't really work. I see some spiney fingers sometimes but doesn't seem to indicate hooks and hard to tell from avatar who is the person on the ground (especially when multiple slugs and HUD shows crawling icon instead of character).

Other than memory, or mori, is there an easier way to check hook count?

I usually remember the hooks. However, I often forget to use a Mori when playing with it. It's very rare that I take a mori with me, and only when people ask me.

(also, most face campers seem to be console. rarely get a PC one.)

    Isn't killer: it's your teammates.

Just went against a Clown on Ormond with solo-queue team mates. Clown finds me first, and I loop him for quite some time, and three gens pop which is when he finally downs me. He camps me (not face camp, but proxy camped in the general area of the hook). I always run Kindred so my teammates could easily see what everyone else was doing, and frustratingly, two were sitting on gens and another was just walking around opening chests/cleansing totems. The final gens pop and they just leave me on the hook to die whilst they escape. After I was sacrificed I observed the match, and what annoyed me most was they were all tea bagging at the exit! All they did was sit on gens and open exit gates: not exactly the most taxing or skillful match, is it? In the end game chat they said they didn't save me as Clown was camping and it would've just been a hook-swap, which makes no sense as two of them had BT (one of which was running it with Guardian). Also, the killer wasn't face-camping, so a bit of team effort could've easily saved me off the hook.

Honestly, other than the occasional toxic/face camping killer, my teammates are often the ones to get each other killed, not the killer. 😂

Its way to annoying. This happens every singe game, thats not a 4 kill. I play both sides and survivors are just way to toxic. I rearly see toxic killers but i see toxic survivors in every game. I just cant understand that BHVR isnt doing anything against this

Tbagging to disrespect the killer is bad manners. I mean we all know what that gesture means. The only problem is that you can't ban it. If you ban squats, survivors will find other ways to annoy you (e.g. nodding, pointing at you) It´s best to just ignore them.

  • I don't care about the tbagging. But the fact that people don't leave immediately and waste my time is annoying.

  • Ghostface, Sadako, Legion, Pinhead, Freddy.

I have no order. It's hard to say which of them is the worst. I rate the killers based on their chase potential and map pressure against good survivors. I also rate them with their strongest add-ons. That's why Myers or Clown aren't included. Killers like Pig and Trapster are also close to the bottom five club.

Sorry, I misread your precise wording in the quote. Here’s what you said

From my 5 year DBD experience, selfcare users are mostly bad players because they waste time healing themselves every single time. Most people just don't know when to heal and when to spend time on a gen. I'm not saying they're all bad, but unfortunately the majority are.

Thanks to the new hockey based MMR there a tons of bad players in the high MMR.

And what I’m saying is the bold sections are objectively wrong. Literally 1/4 of the top players in the game use Self Care and there is zero chance they are “mostly bad players”. Likewise there’s no chance the top MMR brackets have “tons of bad players”. They’re just players you are assuming are bad because they’re apparently using loadouts you don’t like.

Sry if I was kinda rude, that wasn't my intention. Actually, I dont hate the perk itself. But using Selfcare without other perks like Botanical Knowledge or a Med Kit is just a waste of time for me. If people just play with Selfcare like you described in your first post, I'm fine with that too.

Literally 1/4 of the top players in the game use Self Care and there is zero chance they are “mostly bad players”

From my experience, unfortunately yes. It is actually not difficult to get into high MMR. Either you have good mates in a SWF who boost you. Or you just play like an egomaniac in Solo Q, heal yourself for half the match and don't run the risk of getting killed.

Unfortunately, there are enough bad players who don't belong in the high MMR. Maybe I exaggerated with tons of bad players, but since SBMMR there have been a lot more. Perhaps I should explain what I consider a good survivor to be.

    Good survivors:

    • prioritizing gens
    • helping their mates (unhook, heals)
    • stand a chase for at least 30 seconds
    • no trolling, no suicides, no antimate behaviour
    • not time wasting

Yeah, if people should start playing more CoH instead of Selfcare, they will definitely nerf it again. But at the moment Im not sure, if the selfcare enthusiasts give up their lovely perk.

Selfcare on it's own is hurting your team more than anything, at least run botany with it. But you can use medkits, inner healing etc. Which are the best ways to heal.

Or... you can stay injured, you dont have to be constantly healthy. Let's say you selfcare just twice with sloppy active, that's 1 full gen you could of finished instead

you can stay injured, you dont have to be constantly healthy

This. Especially when the killer is busy with your mates in the distance. But I'm also the guy who would give the killer a hook for free if he could finish a gen for it.

You are objectively incorrect about the “majority of high MMR survivors are bad players”. You don’t get to the highest MMR brackets without being an excellent player. You’re simply only remembering times you lost and someone happened to have Self Care and forgetting the times you won and didn’t notice if someone had it.

You are objectively incorrect about the “majority of high MMR survivors are bad players”

Please don't use false quotes I never wrote. I wasn't referring to all players in the high MMR, just the selfcare users. And yes, in my personal experience (!!!), the majority of self-care users are bad. And if the MMR is working as intended, theoretically I should have a high MMR since I survive more often than I die.

You’re simply only remembering times you lost and someone happened to have Self Care and forgetting the times you won and didn’t notice if someone had it.

First of all, that's not true. Second, me surviving doesn't mean my mates were any good. I always look at my mates' perks. Sometimes people use trash perks and they're awesome. And sometimes it's the other way around.

And if there are people here who like to play with selfcare and perform well, that doesn't mean that the majority of selfcare enthusiasts do, too.

Self Care actually is currently the fifth most used perk at the highest MMR brackets, about 25% of the highest ranked survivor players use it. I suspect a lot of the really solid survivors who use it have it so they can partially heal at will during periodic moments where they can’t do anything else useful. Crouching mid chase at a loop seeing what the killer will do? Take that time to heal for a second. Waiting a second for a blocked generator? Heal a bit. And keep in mind I think this number was before the Haemorrhage change so there’s no risk of Sloppy Butcher messing it up.

Basically the notion that only bad players use Self Care is definitely a myth. Just because there are players who misuse it doesn’t mean everybody does. Of course the nerf may change that, it’s being significantly slowed, so I bet a lot of its current users will reconsider.

Thanks to the new hockey based MMR there a tons of bad players in the high MMR. I survive 50-70% of my solo q matches (still depending on the time I play) and get often matched with 3 bushettes, who are selfcaring half the match in a corner. That actually shouldnt happen. When there was rank based MMR, I never met people with self-care on Rank 1. And that even in times when CoH didn't exist yet.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

    Title.

As if the current selfcare users arent hard enough to carry while they do it through sloppy. I'll have no chance to carry with longer gens and them self caring for longer

I feel you mate. Some even selfcare against Legion. Others prefer healing in a corner rather than using your CoH boon which is 2 metres next to them. I'm also afraid that the self-care enthusiasts won't stop playing with their favorite perk. As a killer I love this perk, but for me as a solo survivor it's hell on earth.

Blight probably has the best power for map traversal in the game that returns after 10 seconds if fully empty, whereas spirit takes 15 seconds to fully replenish her power. Blight is also faster than spirit with his power empty and can continue to move around the map faster but spirit has longer cooldown and is slower outside of her power. I would say spirit and blight has similar anti loop potential when played correctly. So is blight given 4.6 just because some loops have bad collision or don’t have things to bounce around on. Especially with spirit being nerfed it doesn’t make sense to me why she is still only a 4.4 and blight is a 4.6.

You're right, Spirit should be 4.6

Been playing this game for years on both sides and playing survivor is just a terrible experience. Killers that don’t need buffs like legion get buffs and survivors just get annihilated every game. It’s not very balanced. I’d say about 1 out of every 4 or 5 games the killer doesn’t get a 4K. I get it 1 v 4 you’re not meant to survive but I’m seeing the whole team just get smashed on and gens don’t get done especially on some of these smaller maps. It’s already not fun to do generators holding down a button the whole time and then your speed is being slowed down and regressed which makes it even more dreadful experience. It’s just not worth trying or even playing when the killer is constantly making progress on his objectives. Unless the killer is bad you die? Killers are given way too many strengths in this game and survivors don’t have enough to counter and what little they do have gets nerfed into complete uselessness.

At least Sluzzy gave u 1 Vote Up.

There is a stupidly large number of pallets on maps now. It needs to be halved at least. Every match at the moment there is a pallet at every possible pallet spawning tile and it is ridiculous because there is nothing the killer can do.

RNG is often unfair. Pallet spawns are mostly survivor sided, but there can also be a lot of deadzones on certain maps (e.g. Shelter Woods, Wreckers Yard, Haddonfield). It's not just the quantity of pallets that counts, but also their quality. RNG decides whether the map is balanced, survivor sided or killer sided.

  • @HexPleaseLetMeSpeak said:

At this point they need a full rework. Mending is boring for survivors but at the same time, playing what is probably the most M1 killer in the game is also boring for killers. You can injure people super easily, hell pretty much for free, but downing them is a whole different story. With literally no power to help in chase (in terms of downing power), no anti loop, and not even like they're short like Sadako to mindgame. There's just nothing there.

If someone believes another killer is weak about it I would love to hear about it, because IMO literally every other killer in the game has either anti loop or SOMETHING that helps them get downs. Legion is genuinely nothing.

He injures people but then... what next? After using frenzy and injuring everyone, you're just a hard M1 killer with nothing to show for all those frenzy hits.

Ghostface would like to have a word with you.
