I have another thing that was missed in the 6.1.0 patch notes:

It says that the speed of gens/pallet kicking has been increased by 10%:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/WWVAAO0BPD9O/screenshot-2022-08-02-17-02-41-570-com-android-chrome.jpg

When actually it's the time that is being reduced by 10%, and the speed actually has been increased by 11,111111 (periodic)%, so not the time. Could you also fix that @Peanits ?

    Are you bored?

  • Which emblem fails? Actually, it's not that difficult with Doc...

  • @MommyHunktress said:

zombies are by far one of the dumbest things in the game and the fact they can bodyblock is not fair at all

Come on, they're still smarter than my average random mates.

  • @GannTM said:

At least we’re getting Clown back with this dev update. If Spirit wasn’t in the game I’d say Clown was the hottest killer in the game.

You recognize true beauty, my friend!

  • @Phasmamain said:

This and bringing back DMS PR really makes me question the thought process here

And when DMS is reduced from 45 seconds to 30 seconds, you can use PGTW on top of that.

  • People have asked for a Nurse nerf too many times. This is the natural reaction of the devs (:

  • @DredgeyEdgey said:

Whew I thought this post was about the dredge being broken or something

Sry for confusing you 😅 Btw I like your name

  • @StarLost said:

While there are a few things that probably need to be tweaked (put DS back to 5 seconds, Nurse needs a look), the major argument seems to boil down to 'I'm not escaping as much as I was'.

That...is the point of the patch.

BHVR has access to data we don't.

According to them, kill rates weren't high enough.

They thus adjusted them by buffing killers.

Naturally, you won't be escaping as much as before!

I'm glad you think so too. None of my Survivor friends were upset about the patch. On the contrary, everyone is happy that they can now leave BT at home.

Today I just played a match as wraith vs SWF. I have to admit, it was an amazing match. They knew all the pallet placements in Lery's and they knew how to loop and bait me out of my power. They were smart but with intelligence comes arrogance and I used this at my advantage. I manage to down a survivor after a wild chase when I suddenly heard footsteps. I knew someone was prepared to flashlight save his friend but I checked and managed to hit David and scared him away. Now that I hooked the survivor, I try to be as fair as possible and I ended up getting stacks of Devour. Now, it's pretty damn hard to find totems in this map and they probably didn't bother to find the Hex totem since it's not a threat to them, yet, and they rather focus on finishing the generators as quickly as possible. One by one, they fall down like a stack of cards. They were exposed. Their other friends desperately trying to find and cleanse the totem but it was no use. I managed to down 3 survivors as I left them on the ground bleeding to my luck they had no unbreakable. The last one almost cleansed my totem until I hit him at the last second of cleansing Devour.

Now, that was a glorious match but when I downed all of them, they all disconnected. You know what happened next, right? Yeah, the chat was full of anger, calling me the worst killer and saying that I need to kill myself soon and hope that my entire family dies of cancer. Their ego exploded into million pieces. They want all the killers to be nerfed and they complained about everything how this game is killer sided.

This has happened ever since after the update started and these guys weren't the only ones who berated and threatened me to kill me and my whole family. I'm sick of survivors entitlement and their screwed up mentality.

What the hell is the matter with you?

It is a 5 person game. No matter how small the group, someone has to be the poop.

I know what kind of comments I will get and I don't care, I wanna talk about this because this game is important to me.

Survivors are ruining the game. Of course not everyone but most of them. I have a few examples but I will start with the biggest one.

The 6.1.0 Update is out since a few days and...survivors are losing there crap over everthing. Constantly crying here over the changes or killing themselves in game/dc the moment something happens they don't like.

I have to say that there are two real problems right now in the game that have to be adressed. Nurse and slow down combos

But other then that is the game in a healthy state like never before. Killers got the buff they needed and finally is the meta different. But here comes the problem. Entilted survivors who don't give themselves time to adjust and instead become childish and toxic towards others.

    "Killers are now too op!"

"They win every round with a 4k!"

And similar sentences over and over again. And the thing is...of course are killers now stronger...but it's not there fault that you are bad. It shows that a few survivors are not able to win without dead hard, dstrike and the other meta crap from before. But instead of trying to learn new perks or learn to loop without needing to press E they go the childish Route and try to force the devs to revert the changes with disconnects and crying posts here and every where else.

I am not a killer Main, actually I am really bad as killer and even now with the update I'm still losing games like before. I play survivor in the morning and in the evening killer. I am not a expert in this game with 50k hours but I have spend my hours in this game and this Update is a step in the right direction so please devs Show that you don't go back because some babies lost there op things.

Most of them overreact and unfortunately think way too one-sidedly.

When we complain about solo que in this patch, it’s because it’s worse. We’ve been complaining about the solo experience for over a year now (because of MMR). We really resent it when players are dismissive of our frustration. We have a valid grievance. The whole “get gud” response is tiring. BHVR was heavy handed in a lot of the changes, so some of it does have to do with the patch. Ofc the entitled ragequitters are not helping the situation.

Complaints about the Solo Q are as old as the Solo Q itself. I've complained about the Solo Q before, but it was because of the MMR hell I was trapped in for a long time. However, the patch mainly brings improvements for the Solo Q. Sure, camping and tunneling is still a thing. But the killers have also at 80 sec. camped and tunnelled. Most people overreact to the patch imo.

The Killer wouldn't have time to use PGTW, actually.

Likewise, I got good at finding totems after I did my totem experiment.

Eruption, Overcharge, Call of Brine is far worse than anything but old Undying and Ruin.

Super fast regression, plus 15% for missing Overcharge which I can't hit consistently (yes, it is different than DS) AND Eruption knocks 10% off plus it stops you from working on it for 25 seconds AND it can still be affected by things like Surge or PR?

But you have a mini PGTW base kit and, as you mentioned, Overcharge and CoB. That means you can start looking for a new gen right away and have wasted a lot of time. My Doc with the old PR + DMS was the most unfun experience for survivors.

I'm still having trouble finding totems on some maps. I believe you are good at finding totems, but you still need to spend time searching the map. And if your random mates are all looking for the totem as well, no gens will be made. That's often time you don't have against strong killers. My random mates were almost always looking for the totems (I mostly play with bond), so I'm a bit traumatized 😂

  • @Pulsar said:

BT basekit has not done a single thing for me. It is essentially useless, most people can bodyblock and count to 6

I would literally rather have PR, DMS and old Ruin back if it meant not having to deal with the actual nightmare that is Eruption

Not gonna lie, it helps me a lot. Of course a killer can wait 5 seconds and then down you, that's true. But meanie tunnelers have done that before. Nevertheless, I often have the chance to reach a pallet or a vault in these 5 seconds with the mini speed bonus. Not to forget, I no longer have to take BT with me and can replace it with OTR, for example.

I would literally rather have PR, DMS and old Ruin back if it meant not having to deal with the actual nightmare that is Eruption

So you prefer to make a gen 90%, only to have it then be blocked by DMS + PR for 45 sec. so that the killer still has enough time to pop it? You want to go back to having solo randoms looking for a ruin totem all match instead of just going gens? I definitely don't want this!

  • @ad19970 said:

The stuff survivor got in this patch don't even compare to the stuff that killers got this patch. At least in my opinion.

The killer baseline buffs were great. All of them, except the bloodlust buff. It's great killers have a bit more time for their objective now at base, without slowdown perks. That was very much needed. The chase buffs were also all fantastic, especially since they help M1 killers in particular.

However, the increase in gen times simply caused some other slowdown perks to become too strong. Thana is a problem, it shouldn't have been buffed, but nerfed. Pentimento is another big problem. And there are other slowdown perks that are currently just too strong.

More importantly, in my opinion, Nothing was done about camping and tunneling.

Actually, that's not quite true. Camping was actually buffed. But that's kind of it. The basekit endurance and haste do nothing way too often. Even on Eyrie of Crow, a map known to have loads of pallets, I had a Spirit easily waiting out the 5 seconds before I could reach a pallet or window. It's just not nearly enough.

And camping being buffed is just as bad, if not even worse. When getting tunneled, I can at least play the game in some way. When a killer camps, I either just stare at a hook or at a gen.

One very frustrating part for me regarding this patch is that it could have been so great. Killers got the buffs they needed, making them less dependent on slowdown perks, and generally making their normal and fair gameplay more viable. But survivors didn't get the same treatement. They have to potentially suffer through insane slowdown builds as well as camping and tunneling.

I agree with you on Thana and Pentimento. This is something the devs need to take a look at and I'm sure they will. What would u change to prevent camping?

It doesnt seem to be much, but it is a big difference, trust me. So I had to adapt my playstyle. I mean it was a minor nerf compared to other killers, although I don't think it was necessary. First of all, thank you devs for buffing SoloQ.

BT basekit is a great change for the game. And it help a looooot against tunneling killers in soloQ.

Off the record rework is amazing, I was always worried in soloQ "Does he have BT ??" "Will he takes a protection hit for me ???" Now I just use OTR and however my team mates are playing in soloQ I cant be tunneled. If the killer go for me and try to tunnel, good luck for catching me and killer will lost 3 gens in a chase lol

Nerfing gen regression perks help a looooot too in soloQ. Ruin/Undying is over and it should make every soloQ player happy.

Tunneling is over, gen regression is over, there is still one thing : camping.

Dead by Daylight has never been this healthy.

    Thank you very much devs.

I feel the same as you. My Solo Q (and Killer) experience has improved since the patch. A lot of people here in the forum just get mad quickly because you don't join in their tearful singing 😂 Of course I still have teammates with a gen aversion, but significantly fewer than before. The ruin nerf has made people more likely to stick with the gen and not waste time looking for a hex totem. DMS + PR is also gone.

    @Tsulan said:

Thank god i´m not the only one who thinks solo queue is fine.

Its just the teammates, which give up, that ruin everything for everyone else.

You are not alone. But the voices of those who don't complain are quieter. Exactly, Solo Q isn't nearly as bad as many people make it out to be. It's mostly your mates that can ruin the game. In my case it always depends on the time when I play Solo Q. Between 5pm and 8pm there are many good solo players online. However, after 8pm most people are playing in a SWF or only those that no one wants to play with are left 😂

  • Yes, Kate and Jane's breast physics no longer work. Glad to hear it's a bug and not intentional. I still wonder why they don't add this physics to other characters. It just looks more realistic. Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 3 is a perfect example of adjusting jiggle physics.

I'm surviving more often in the Solo Q than I did before the patch. I think it's not only because of the survivor buffs, but also because more people are playing right now and I'm being matched with good players more often than before. Whether I had fun doesn't depend on whether I survived or not.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Seriously too many survivors arent even bothering with objectives, they just running round do basically nothing waiting for saves...

BHVR need to start tracking the actual objective progress in matches and see that alot of the player base just dont do gens and we shouldn't balance around those players.

Have any nerfs been officially announced yet? I'm also afraid that there will be some "adjustments" again.

I take a medkit if I'm using lucky break too or I'll just use it all up too quickly </3 although it's nice being able to recover it

It's particularly good against spirit but still decent enough against most of the others.

Tell me why is it still decent against most killers? I can't think of a situation where it will really be of use to me. And selfcaring in a corner doesn't count 😅 It cannot be used during a chase. And if you're working on a gen and the killer comes, most likely he'll be looking for you, even if he doesn't hear anything.

But I don't use it to heal myself

Im glad to hear it, but then you run two perks for a worse Iron Will effect (I mean the prenerf one). Worse, because you have to stop moving to be silent. Old Iron Will also helped me during a chase. And you can't self care in a locker.

  • Yes, but wasting two perk slots just because there's a little chance you're playing against Spirit? Idk...

I wont be able to reply to any posts in a few hours since I will not be here anymore till I am back sorry about that but ye lets get started. Small info about me as Dredge. I have tossed aside my crown as an Oni main and I am now proudly claiming myself as an Dredge main with a kill rate of 3,2k so far. I have learned a ton of very interesting ways to play dredge, builds and also new mindgames that I havent seen from anyone so far, well of the 5 dredges I have faced so far.

Dredge is mostly fine by itsself and he is one of the most well and best desinged Killers in the game so far.

The only problems he has are the following:

    1. Locked lockers on certain maps do hurt him ALOT, you dont always have the time to walk around the map and smack the locked lockers, especially you dont wanna give up your chase for that. It feels horrible building your ultimate ability just to be counted by locked lockers, it feels awful and can even cause you easily to loose more pressure for trying to go for chases or slugs.
    2. While in the power the way you choose your targeted locker is abit wonky. If there are lockers between the path of your targeted actual locker behind that, you will always target the closer locker first, you have to move around till its out of line of side, which you sometimes cant when you are already inside a locker or it just takes too much time and till then the survivor/s you wanna surprise are probably already gone. Also simiular like Nurse back then if you look abit down you can easily accidently target lockers in the basement or other lower areas which sucks, I still have those moments where I visit satan in hell real quick in the middle of an chase.
    3. The remnant power is on really big loops basicly useless and needs changes. On pallets like the big car pallets on auto heaven, coldwind with those big hey bals aswell. You walk way too slow to even barely catch up, you need around 5-6 loops around that thing while holding your power and building bloodlust to zone them enough to do your 50/50 mindgame. You are better of just chasing as an m1 killer and eat the pallet.

    Here are my solutions:

    1. Choose either of these two: In nightfall you ignore locked lockers, they are basicly disabled and are again enabled after the nightfall / or Reduce the time to get out of a locked locker by 1 sec (Haddies calender addon as baseline) and rework that addon.
    2. Simply adjust and work on the "choose locker" detection and targeting.
    3. The further you are away from your remnant the faster you will move again. You are basicly slower the closer you are to your rement. So basicly on smaller loops nothing changes but if you leave the remnant which you basicly have to anyway on those really big loops, you move faster to catch up faster. I am not too sure about the exact speeds but lets say after 6 Meters of the remnant you get 5% faster for each extra 1 meter.

Thanks for reading this far and take care everyone!

I agree with you 100% on all three points. I couldn't have summed it up any better. If Drussy gets some love, he might give Maurice back to us.

I still have those moments where I visit satan in hell real quick in the middle of an chase.

Thanks for the giggle. I know those moments all too well 😂

Reduce the time to get out of a locked locker by 1 sec (Haddies calender addon as baseline) and rework that addon.

I had exactly the same idea. The AddOn should definitely be basekit.

The remnant power is on really big loops basicly useless and needs changes

The speed during his antiloop should definitely be increased a bit.

New build: POP, Bamboozle, Lethal Pursuer and Corrupt.

Too many, so I couldnt tell'em all...

    Solo Q:

If I wanna survive at all costs: Spine Chill, Lightweight, CoH, Sole Survivor

Im playing a lot with Lightweight these days. You won't believe how many times killers loose me in a chase, cuz they rely too much on my scratchmarks.

    SWF:

I bareley play SWF, but if Im playing with gen jockeys: Adre, WoO, Hope, Lithe

    Killers:

I have multiple builds for all killers so the list would be too long. But I still play a lot with CI, CoB, PGTW, Pentimento, DMS, Brutal Strength and Bamboozle

I think it's a bug. Now when they fix it and killers get the bonus to alleviate survivor queues, how are people going to react? When all the survivors that threatened to quit, because of the DH nerf, see that killer is the underplayed role.

    Yeah, I'm afraid you're right :/

  • @Sluzzy said:

BHVR actually did it. A perk in a horror game that is supposed to be used to dodge a hit was actually nerfed into uselessness. A perk that required immense skill in situations that required precise timing against many things that could cause it not to work (ie. server lag, killer connections). It is not fun to use now.

90 seconds to repair gens is not something survivors need or want to do. It is not fun to sit 90 seconds. Constantly nerfing survivors because of bad killers is causing the survivor role to be very unattractive and I opened the game today to play one game and clicked quit. 100% bonus points to lose against an overpowered killer is not enough incentive to play as survivor.

3 second stun against a Nurse, Huntress, or Blight is basically nothing. Any person disagreeing including BHVR needs to play survivor against one of these killers only one time to know. Decisive Strike and all of its silly deactivation conditions might be fun for killers but you feel very cheated as survivor and it is not fun. A 1-time use perk shouldn't be that weak. There is hardly any tools for survivors to use their skill and improve upon. Escaping is impossible against a killer that knows what to do.

Excellent killers do not have any issues winning an overwhelming majority of their matches. Balancing around very bad killers is not good for DBD.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4UQCXODID25J/image.png

DH was the biggest crutch perk of all time in DBD and therefore needed a nerf. And no, it didnt take much 'skill'. I mean I played it myself but I'm glad to see it nerfed because I play both sides equally. I agree with you on DS. Should have stayed 5 seconds. I wasn't happy with the 90 second gen time, but to be fair I don't really notice it. The problem is still bad survivors in the Solo Q who have a gen aversion.

  • @Tsulan said:

I´m curious. Whats that screenshot supposed to mean? It doesn´t seem to have any correlation with what you wrote.

Is anyone else getting sick of these Nurse discussions?

We get it! Omega Blink is dumb, never should've returned, and Range should be gutted. Everyone knows this. You're doing nothing but preaching to the choir under the guise of spreading awareness or calling for change; everyone knows already.

We know Omega Blink is dumb. We know Blight's Alch Ring/C33 is dumb. We also know facecamping is a problem that will only get worse. I am genuinely annoyed that I'm constantly being told that the sky is blue!

While we're at it, can I take a moment to point out some hypocrisy?

Before Spirit was nerfed: "Nerf Spirit! At least Nurse takes skill!"

Now: "Nurse is OP and takes no skill."

Really? Just really guys? Stop using skill as an argument if you're not going to remain consistent with it. I bet most of you are the ones who genuinely thought Wraith needed a basekit nerf instead of just All-Seeing.

And yes, she does take skill; she's not the hardest to master, but she's not Pre-Nerf Freddy that you just pick up and win half-asleep. If she didn't, she would have a much higher kill and pick rate. And yes, she does have counterplay. The problem is that her add-ons (a.k.a Range) *nullify it, much like Spirit with MDR.

*I should mention that certain maps are also death sentences such as Gideon but others are a nightmare such as Lerry's. Double Edged sword there.

100% agreed. I'm getting tired of these kinds of discussions. 90% of all discussions are one-sided complaints about perks, killers, SWF or the-end-is-near discussions. It's okay for people to complain, but you don't need to start 10 discussions a day on every issue.

You know those spooky noises you hear from Dredge during Nightfall? That's the cry of every average DBD Forum user making the next complaint.

I’m just glad all 3 of my mains (Jane, Jeff and Haddie) might actually be made quieter now. As for spirit of it means less nurse and blight then I’m all for it

Haddie just released and is already your main? Respect :'D And yes, I love Jeff's rutting sounds, but the volume needs to be turned down :D

I don’t struggle against the perk as much but I get why the perk was the main reason didn’t want to play Spirit. It’s not unbeatable but it wasn’t necessarily fair a lot of the time (although the devs didn’t have to destroy the perk the way they did at all).

I really hope we see Spirit more often. I feel like I’ve gone against more Blights and Huntresses in the past month than I’ve seen Spirit in the past 6 months, and that makes me a sad boi. I need to see her more, my game experience will be complete if I do.

Also side note, I did say Spirit is the most fun killer in the title but I’m obviously saying it as a subjective term. She’s the most fun to me but I do understand why people may not find her fun, and that is ok.

Hey bro, I miss her too. I actually always liked playing against Rin. She would certainly be my main killer if I didn't have such problems with the audio in DBD. I will definitely play her more often after the IW nerf <3
