If it involves playing against you, then it would take longer than 5 minutes to setup KYF lobby between the two of us considering the time zones differences. And I've never played against somebody from the US, I think in DbD. No clue how playable the ping would be. I'm from Germany.
But I will try to record stuff, if I get matched against a top tier nurse player without addons. Maybe I will be matched with Gammalunatic, if I'm lucky.
Last time I played vs him he used Omegablink with an Ebony. I think if you find a Nurse player who is actually good, you are more lucky. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm so sick of playing Haddonfield, but every game someone decides to burn a Strode key. I can't take it anymore!
I am sure that EVERY time someone burns a Strode Key so that you end up on Haddonfield EVERY Match. I see nearly no Map Offerings in my games, but yeah, must be the big exception.
Overall, Map Offerings should not be removed. They should not turn up in the Offering Screen, because people might DC because of an Offering. But other than that, some Killer strategies rely on the Maps. Like, one of the most funny thing to play and to play against is Scratched Mirror Myers. Would not be possible without a Map Offering (sure, in theory it would be possible, but nobody would play Scratched Mirror Myers when he can end up on an Autohaven-Map). Also a Survivors should be able to pick Maps which are in their favor.
@MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky said:
its funny enough that when you start getting into the high ranks, map RNG becomes very narrow to like Coldwind, haddon, pennys etc, maps that favor survivors a lot, map offerings just ensures they get a survivor favored map to win
Where did you get your Tinfoil Hat? It looks nice.

Regarding the Keep Running:
Also quite interesting to know, Hag does not have any Lunge after teleporting. So a Hag player might try to lunge at you, but will it will not work. Hag is probably my favorite Killer, and even then I sometimes forget that I cannot lunge after teleporting.
Also, if a Hag is chasing you (good Hag players will not do that), loop her. She is slow and you should not chase with her like you would do with a standard 115% MS Killer. So if a Hag is doing that, take advantage of it.
And last but not least - try to avoid the Basement as much as possible. You are basically dead when you get hooked in the Basement. Sometimes it is not even worth to get other Survivors out of the Basement, when you dont have a Flashlight and/or Urban Evasion.
-
Prayer Beads are obviously Bullshit.
But apart from that, Spirit is fine. The only thing that could indeed change is her collision while Phasing. ScottJund mentioned it in a video and I would agree to that.
Because if you do not have Iron Will, you will have a hard time anyway, and even then, it is not easy to get away from a Spirit. But her Collision makes it even harder.
I see versing Spirit as some form of Rock-Paper-Scissor. If Spirit wins, she gets a Hit. If the Survivor wins, he gets distance or maybe is even able to lose her. But when both choose the same option, it is no Draw. Spirit wins in this case, because the Survivor has no benefit from knowing that he is bumping into Spirit.
In the end, it would give Survivors an option to mindgame her. But without Iron Will, The Spirit would still be able to follow the Survivor, even if he is chaining direction.
But overall, I dont think that she is OP. Prayer Beads are Bullshit, as I already wrote and she is strong, but only needs some Tweaks. She is not fun to verse for me tho.
-
This is a very cool feature for a mature Community.
Sadly, it is nothing for DBD then.
-
Blinding Killers on Pallets most likely will only result in Bloodpoints. When a Survivor blinds you at a Pallet instead of getting distance (and there are Pallets, which the Killer HAS to break), this is just good for you. Especially when they are injured and dont run Iron Will, you will be able to hear them.
And if really two people are doing that... Well, two people not on Gens.

I think NOED should always sustain the effect of exposed, since survivors can just bully you to the point where you don't even get a kill. It does sorta force a second objective if you asked me. I will say adding a whole new status effect for NOED would be atrocious and BHVR should build upon the idea they've created and establish it for both sides as a used perk, but not over the top.
I have no suggestion other than keeping exposed for it, even as a survivor main. xqcL
First of all, the Killer not getting any Kills does not mean that he got bullied. He can simply play vs Survivors who are better than him. Getting no Kills does not mean the Killer played vs some form of Bullysquad.
Furthermore, NOED will not help to get him Kills except for the Endgame. Because, when you have the Instadown, you only need half of the time for a chase than usual. Furthermore, with 4% movement Speed Buff, you will end Loops without any need to mindgame. And if you can simply get your Downs and Kills (even if it is most likely not 4) with your training wheels, you will simply not learn how to play (a) Killer.

Wow an add on stops you from using your exhaustion perk so op. Pls nerf
Just imagine, those Toolbox Add-Ons which increase Skill Check Success Zones would actually have an impact on Hex Skill Checks, making them easier. This is basically the same - it counters a Perk for a really low amount of BP.
@Topic:
Not sure about removing them (I would agree to it), but the rarity is a problem. Huntress is a prime example - brown Add-On for 30 seconds Exhaustion, green Add-On for 90 seconds Exhaustion. And there is no reason to use the Green Add-On, since Exhaustion does not recover while running. So it is basically the same.
And negating Perks for just 3k BP is just dumb.

Im still wondering what the 4th killer with a ranged attack is
He mentioned Doctor. So Huntress, Plague, Clown and Doctor are the 4 ranged attack Killers.
Totally the same, all of them.
-
A Survivor on the ground is the same as a Survivor on the Hook, when it comes to Map Pressure.
Also, the 3 seconds (which it was before) was even without Enduring REALLY short. DS is fine now, even with 5 seconds Stun.
-
I mean, in the end this is only a "Nerf Survivors"-Thread.
While it would be great if this game would be more scary, this is not gonna happen. Making it darker would make it harder for Killers to see. And we know that things that make it difficult for Killers are not wanted in this Forum.
Besides that, you cannot simply go with "The game should be more stealthy" with the rest of your ideas. First of all, Stealth is boring for both sides. If I play Survivor, I dont want to hide all the time. This does not mean that I want to be chased the whole game, I am terrible at chases. But at least I dont want to crouch somewhere all the time without the possibility to do anything. As Killer, I am more annoyed of Survivors who do nothing so that I cannot find them.
Furthermore, if you want to have Stealth Gameplay aka Gameplay where you have to lose the Killer, there need to be MORE Pallets and not less Pallets. Because in the end, you will need those Pallets to get Distance on the Killer. And if we would think about the fact that Looping should not be possible then (because Stealth is the Goal), it would just lead to all Pallets being wasted in like 2 minutes, which is an easy win for the Killer. If you want Stealth Gameplay and no Looping, you need more Pallets. And yes, I am pretty sure that some Killers would not think about it and would only read "More Pallets?!?!?!?1111"
And last but not least, I feel that the game goes into another direction than Stealth. Just look at the most recent content which was added. Legion - you cannot hide from the Killer Instinct. Furthermore, Iron Maiden is completely Anti-Stealth. Plague - even if you are running Iron Will, you will cough. Furthermore Infections Fright. When it comes to Ghost Face, Im All Ears works against Stealth.
So I doubt that Stealth is the direction the game is planned to develop.
-
So, do you think Plague came out of nowhere? Or Legion? While Base Legion was truely annoying, it was still a cool concept. Plague is also really creative.
So no, they are not suffering from a lack of creativity.

And if the gate isn't 99%ed
If I am correct, even if the gate is on 99%, a Killer can open it. Otherwise it would not make any sense, because this would allow Hostage Situations.
@Stabbicus said:
Question: Does this allow the Survivors to still open the unopened gate? Or are they stuck going for one gate now?
Survivors can still open the other gate.

Personally, I dont enjoy Puzzlegames at all.
But other than that, I see a major problem with that:
It might be manageable for experienced players, but, once they are used to it, it gets boring as well.
And new players might find it too complicated. Honestly, if I would have been a new player and I really would have to do quite difficult tasks to complete the Objective, I would probably not play this game.
-
For me, an M1-Killer is someone who has 115% Movement Speed, benefits from Spirit Fury/Enduring and has to do normal Loops.
So: Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Legion, Leatherface, Clown, Doctor, Plague, Freddy, Ghostface, Pig, Myers
No M1-Killer: Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Huntress
-
No Perk is toxic.
Anyway, I would just go afk in one Corner, facing that Corner. If they want to waste their time running around, they should do it.
-
NO!
I want to do THIS Gen, and I WILL do it!!!11

@artist Bamboozle isn't even that amazing of a perk
To be fair, while it is not amazing, it is still used in a way it is not intended.
Bamboozle should help with Bullshit-Loops. BHVR comes up with Perks to counter some mechanics, nearly every Chapter has some form of Perk which counters another thing. So Bamboozle counters "Infinites". Thing is, Bamboozle is also used on Structures, where it does not have to be used when the Killer can actually mindgame.
@Topic:
I would like NOED to be removed or heavily reworked.
But one Perk that I think can be removed easily would be Insidious. This is just a no-skill, boring Perk which promotes unhealthy gameplay. There is no fun involved for anyone, the Survivor on the Hook does not have fun when seeing the Killer standing next to the Hook and the Killer does not have fun standing there and hearing Gens popping all the time.
(even though, story-time: Apparently I have a German Streamer who does not like me, he once camped me with Insidious while using Billy. Ended up with 5k BP, 1 BBQ Stack, a Depip and a Pudding burned... This was quite funny for me, but that is basically the only occasion)
Other than that, not every Perk needs to be useful. And there might be some people actually enjoying those Perks. And I also enjoy doing random Perks from time to time, and it is quite fun to get bad Perks and try to get something out of it.
-
I try to down the Unhooked person to deny the Safe Hook Rescue. Then I go for the Unhooker, regardless if the first worked or not.
-
You cannot expect a game to be scary after a while playing it. There are really good Horror games out there, but if you play those like 5 times, you will not have any Horror Feeling at all.
For example, Amnesia - the Dark Descent was really scary. After playing it for a while, you are more trying to glith the monsters instead of actually being scared of them.
If you play Outlast 10 times, you will also not feel any fear at all. Same goes for DBD.
-
It is mostly not only the Perks, but more the people who are using it.
Survivor Perks:
We are gonna live forever:
Still a terrible farming Perk. Had a prime example in my team yesterday, only unhooked me and was hiding afterwards. I got no heal (because it does not give any Stack..), was found by the Killer because I was the only person he saw and was hooked again soon after.
Borrowed Time:
It is a great Perk. But BT does not mean that you should run to the Hook when the Killer just hooked a Survivor.
Self Care:
Also depending on the people using it. Like, stop wasting time using Self Care on the other end of the Map while the Killer has Sloppy Butcher and Thanatophobia. Just annoying, especially, when the last Gen is about to pop and said person has Adrenaline.
Bond:
As stated above, when it is used wrong. Bond is such a great Perk, but two things annoy me:
Sometimes I dont want to see what my Teammates are doing (or better: not doing)
And then those persons who think that it is cool to run to other Survivors to lose the Killer.
Killer Perks:
NOED:
Simply a dumb Perk. Yeah, yeah, cleanse Totems. Which is not optimal at all, because when I spend those seconds to cleanse one Totem, I basically have to cleanse all Totems on the Map. And if I manage to cleanse 4 Totems, it still can activate.. And I dont want to mention the amounts of time where I cleansed all Totems and basically wasted my time, because the Killer does not have NOED. I dont care about the BPs, Boldness is easy enough to get.
Also it does prevent learning Killers or how to loop. You can win Loops easily with 4% extra MS and some people are too good at doing damage reduction just because of NOED so that they dont want to learn more about their Killer(s).
Franklins Demise:
Just annoying, not even a good Perk. It usually annoys me, when using a White Ward, because then I decided to actually bring a good Item. Aaaand its gone. Also I ran into a Troll recently, who just smacks one Person with Franklins and then DCs (Franklinks Tier 3 being his only Perk).
Pop goes the Weasel:
Not because of its own effect, but more because Survivors sometimes dont get that the Killer has it (even if it visual different from a regular regression) so they tap the gen, which allows the Killer to use PGTW again.
Haunted Grounds:
Again, mostly because of other Survivors. If there is no Hex active, no reason to pop the Hex Totem. Especially not, when another Survivor is standing behind you, waving to not cleanse this thing..
Dying Light:
Such a terrible designed Perk. Promotes only tunneling, and makes the game boring when the Killer manages to activate it. And most of the time, he will lose anyway, because he gets it to work too late.
Monstrous Shrine:
The pure existence of this Perk is what annoys me.
-
Perks:
M&A, Whispers, BBQ, STBFL
I only recently got PGTW (never bothered with Clown before, since I first want to P3 some Killers, before leveling others so that I do not have a Gajillion Perks), so I might switch M&A with PGTW.
Whispers for tracking, I think I got too used to it over time.
Add-Ons are usually Duration and Cooldown, sometimes also the Green Duration Add-On and the Iridescent Button.
Trying to get my 8 Stacks on STBFL as fast as possible, I really enjoy the Perk. Best moment was when I was able to grab while he was Unhooking, because he underestimated my Attack Cooldown.
I play Legion quite a lot since the change, even though I am not sure if I will play him frequently once I have all Perks on him.
-
Maybe you bought here with Auric Cells? This way you can buy the Killer, but not the Survivor (though, it is better to buy both of them at the same time, because it is cheaper).

That's actually fairly easy.
You can spot the difference between an abuser and a simple Sprint burst user by 2 things:
1- You met the survivor for the first time and they use it against you. There's literally no reasons for them to use the 99% trick since they were probably saving Sprint Burst from the start.
"But what if they used it by mistake?" How much time passed from the start of the trial? Did 40 seconds even pass to remotely consider the exhaustion timer at level 3? If not, than the answer it's quite obvious.
2- Exhaustion still last a fair bit even after the timer ends. To make it start again you literally have to stop running so that it depletes fully. Those who abuse it makes it obvious by the fact that you can barely notice them stopping to activate it.
Thats not how I exactly meant it.
What I mean: If someone was using Wake Up, there is a 99,99% chance that the player was only using it because it was bugged.
But that cant be said about Sprint Burst, because this is a Perk which was used since the first days of DBD.
-
I can imagine it is way harder to spot people using the Sprint Burst Bug.
With Wake Up, it is much easier, because this Perk was not used at all (expect by a really small amount of people) before the Bug. But Sprint Burst was Meta before. And even if someone starts running midchase, you never know if it is exploiting or someone who has 99% his Exhaustion to make it "activate" when in chase.
-
Instead of the purple Color, can we have a "Tunnel here" sign on Purple Toolboxes and Medkits? Because this is what would happen.
Bring good stuff--->get tunneled.

Survivors can't tell killers are bringing add-ons nor do they know someone they're facing may or may not be toxic, so it really isn't an apples to apples sort of issue. Most of survivor's "strongest #########" can be made completely moot, too.
To be honest, Survivors can only react to past matches and Killers can act for the current match (even though, if Killers they that they need to see the Items to prepare, this only means that they dodge instead of using Stronger Add-Ons or bring Franklins..).
Like, I had 4 matches yesterday, right after Rank Reset vs Tryhards. 5 Blink Ebony Mori Nurse, Iridescent Huntress, tunneling Freddy (got farmed as well..) and another Killer with an Ebony. So I brought Insta Heals and for the next 5 games, I had only nice Killers and felt bad.
So yeah, as Survivor you can just react and have the mindset of not letting the next game end like the previous ones.
-
If it is an M1-Killer, Spirit Fury/Enduring, as well as replacing either Ruin or BBQ with PGTW.
If it is not an M1-Killer, Tracking Perks, so NC would be my first Perk to go. And then probably either PGTW or once again replacing BBQ or Ruin with PGTW and going for Sloppy Butcher.

Moris completely negate DS
That Moris are Bullshit does not need to be stated once again.
-
@Jago said:
Why ? Is your Noed sweaty with this idea ?
It is.
Because why bother learning how to play Killers, when you can have Training Wheels with Insta-Downs and 4% Extra Movement Speed, which also negates the ability to learn how to mindgame.
Totem Counter should be added, and way more things for Solo Survivors. When Solo Survivors have the same information like a 4 man SWF, Killers can be buffed to that level. This will not happen, but one can dream...
-
Happens. That is not a Bug.
The Minimum Number of Pallets was not reached after placing all the Structures. So there are some Jungle Gyms with two Pallets.
I have seen this happening only twice since it came up again a few months ago. So its pretty rare.
-
I cleanse every Totem I find, even though it is a waste of time. Once I cleansed one Totem, I basically have to cleanse every Totem, otherwise those seconds were wasted for nothing.
-
Spirits collision is really something that needs to be discussed. Overall, I dont think that Spirit requires Nerfs, just Tweaks.
Prayer Beads can be a Pink Add-On, without any problem. Even though, without collision it could be fine. Point is, you cannot nerf anything on Prayer Beads, it has only one effect. And I dont feel that adding a Downside would really be useful.
Regarding collision, playing vs Spirit is basically Rock-Paper-Scissor. If the Survivor wins, he gets distance or will be even able to lose her (which is rare, tbh). If Spirit wins, she gets a Hit. But if both choose the same option, it is not a Draw. The Survivor has exactly no benefit from bumping into a phasing Spirit, while Spirit will get a Hit.
And she would not be really worse without this change.
Regarding the other proposals:
Dont know about Gen Time vs. Hook Time. 100 seconds on a Gen is boring, I am not that good at hitting Great Skill Checks, so it might be possible that I need around 100 seconds for a single Gen and it is not really enjoyable. Rather a second Objective + Increase of Hook Times.
Regarding Killers, I dont agree to Huntress and Clown. Clown should not have a big Benefit from direct Bottle Hits. It is not that difficult to perfom, I am leveling Clown atm because of PGTW, and I am doing fine with direct Hits. Furthermore, with the Pinky Finger, it could be too much to have a Debuff AND be Exposed.
Regarding Huntress, I would not increase her Movement Speed by 1% for each missing Hatchet, but rather let er have 115% Movement Speed when she is out of Hatchets. This would not contradict with the Add-Ons which grant Extra Hatchets, and honestly, a 115% Movement Speed Huntress with two Hatchets left could be two much. But having her at 115% MS when out of Hatchets sounds reasonable, she does not have to abandon a chase to have a chance of downing a Survivor.
I also dont agree with Plague. Not doing anything while Broken is too much, but there needs to be a significant Debuff when doing Actions while Broken. Maybe something like Dying Light. Or after a while, the Survivor will be in Dying State. Simply something that wants Survivors to cleanse, but on the other Hand, Corrupt Purge would need some Tweaks, because it is without a doubt by far the best Range Attack and maybe a minimum amount of Corrupt Purge should hit to actually inflict damage.
With every other Killer, I would agree.
-
At max there should be a cooldown for Notifications. Disabling Window Vault Spam is not needed as well as it should not be punished in a way that it is not done anymore. It is quite rare and even then, if someone wants to do this whole match, perfect, thats a 3v1.
-
I would be fine by dropping my Item. Because in the end, an Offering should not completely negate a Perk.
But when using a White Ward, the Survivor should keep the Item at the end of the Trial.
-
When there are a million threads about this, what gave you the impression that your thread is so special that it needs to be Number 1.000.001?
-
I am quite happy that DBD still is not F2P.
F2P attracts Human Rubbish. The Community is already toxic enough, no need for Kids to get the game without anything to pay for it.
Honestly, the more expensive a game is, the more mature is the community.
-
The only thing which results in Flashlight Blinds are Bloodpoints. Survivors wasting time to get the Flashlight Blind while breaking the Pallet is actually good for the Killer.
Especially when they are injured, you can simply hear them.
-
Use Thanatophobia.
Killers asked for a Healing Nerf. They got it. Now nobody heals, because it takes too long.

Mother of God, someone who understands the game, camping killers because the game is VERY UNBALANCED, the killers can not have fun in their games, because most games last like 5-6 minutes, if the survivors decide to repair, there is no fun , repair is very easy, this must be REVISED NOW!
I mean, Survivors might be able to do the Gens that fast because the Killer is camping near the Hook applying exactly no Pressure on Gens.
But yeah, this would be absurd.
-
You will not be able to get many Instadowns vs good Survivors. If you catch someone in the Open, sure, you get the Chainsaw-Hit. But this is the same for Leatherface, and nobody would say that Leatherface is really strong.
With many Loops in the game, you will most likely only get M1-Hits.
Still, Billy has the potential to Instadown and with his high Mobility, he is the best Killer with 115% Movement Speed. But nowhere near Spirit or Nurse.

Nope.
But it does not act as a counter for Doctors Fakepallets either.
Surely it can help to identify the Pallets when you are awake, so it has some sort of effect vs Freddy.

Disabling mic and chat between survivors. Nothing like having someone relay every move you make as killer.
Then I will simply call my friend via my Phone. Or do you want to take it away so I cannot use it anymore?
-
Again:
You will only drive away the casual SWFs with that. The Tryhards will simply lobbydodge until they are in the same Lobby.
-
The only option where it could not be a Hex Perk would be, if it works on some form of Token System. Like for each Hook you get 0,5% Speedboost during Endgame and after a certain number of Hooks, you get the Instadown.
This would ensure NOED rewarding Killers who actually did not bad during the game, but were not able to do enough, rather than those, who suck the whole game and get one or two Kills solely because of NOED.
Just removing the Hex-Status is a bad idea, there are enough people somewhat carried by NOED.

Is this comment a joke? Ruin ... all the perks to avoid ... in short, you do not understand the philosophy of the thread.
The philosophy of the Thread is that you want to complain. I mean, I put way more time into this right now than you did when creating this Thread.
Ruin does not mean that you can focus 100% on chases. Ruin helps to slow down the game "just a little bit", but it does not guarantee that Gens will take ages to complete.
Pop Goes the Weasel is maybe even better than Ruin, as long as you get your Hooks, you can slow down Gens. 60 seconds is a lot of time to go to a Gen, even before with 30 seconds, PGTW was decent, but now it can be used on basically every Killer.
And well, simply adding a second Objective does not do all the work. There needs to be balance. You cannot just increase the time to do the Objective and end up in Matches were Survivors never finish the Objective. If you add something like a second Objective, many things need to be looked at.
-
Very constructive.
-
Slug them instead of picking them up.
A Survivor slugged is the same as a Survivor on the Hook, when it comes to Map Pressure.
-
Did you lose a pip before said match? Or maybe two Pips because of a DC?
Because sometimes it does not calculate it right away. It was bugged for sure, it is just a matter of which bug it was exactly.
-
Usually I read a Book.
During the Double BP Event I managed to go to the nearby supermarket to buy some stuff for the Weekend, but it was close, when I came back, I only had to wait for another 2 minutes to get into a Lobby.
