Ah, finally Quentin got a useful Perk!
:x
-
They should make an Ingame Message ASAP. And then ban those players who are still abusing it.
(If they cannot/dont fix it basically right now)
-
They give 103% Bonus BP on the Original BP you would get. So lets go for 100% instead.
Using 1 of those during the BP Event will give you 100% Base + 100% for the Offering + 100% for the Event. 300% in total.
Each other Offering adds 100% more.
But they dont stack with the BP Gain, so its not that you get Double BP for the Event and those Double BP are then doubled by the Offerings.
-
I feel you.
Had this happened not long ago - two guys (T.TV) where only fooling around, probably after they saw my Add-Ons (I was prestiging Trapper and used the two pink Add-Ons). Like jumping in lockers in the Killer Shack, farming each other... Both killed themselves on Hook.
Found another person, hooked her. She started to kill herself, I was even shaking that she should not do that, but well... Found the last one, let her do two gens, put some Pallets on me, she stepped in a few Traps for me, then she got the Hatch.
The third person who killed themselves was accusing me of teaming with the last Survivor. I mean... When 3 people dont want to play the game, I just feel bad for the last guy.
(Apparently this person recorded it and sent it to BHVR... Sick people..)
-
It does not matter if he got bullied before. Being toxic because the other side is toxic is simply Bullshit. Often enough one side is toxic, even if the other side is fair. Had Killers hitting and nodding at me on the Hook for exactly no reason, and Survivors teabagging me, despite I did not camp and always went for the Person that was not unhooked.
And well.. There is no point in wiggling. Exactly no point, because it does not matter where the Killer will hook you. During the game, it matters, because otherwise you will end up in the Basement. But when you are the last Survivor, it does not matter at all. I also dont wiggle, because I just want this game to be over and dont want to prolong it. And well, maybe he wants to give me the Hatch, and at least when I am doing it, I really get annoyed by Survivors wiggling.
There is no doubt that the Killer was a dick at this point. And it does not matter what happened before, because being a dick is still being a dick, regardless if there is a reason or not.
-
This forum.
Killer is BMing and being a dick. "Its the Survivors fault!!1111"
-
He is not including Tiers most likely.
And this is something that does not make any sense. If I have more different Perks, this does not mean that it is better.
I can have 20 Perks, or 21 Perks, when this one Perk is Deja-Vu. But with 20 Perks, I also might be able to have one Perk on a higher Tier, which might be better.
So the total amount of Perks is not really something that is worth mentioning.
Prestiging in general is not worth, unless you want the Cosmetics.

I don't need to "prove" the sounds were broken. Them being broken was common knowledge, even stated by BHVR themselves. If you don't believe they were broken, then that's your problem. I don't know why you're here now. Go talk to BHVR, not me.
Asking me to post a video of sounds being broken when I'm providing a visual example of how and why they were broken is like demanding I post a video to prove that the sky is blue during the day when I'm explaining how the sun rotates around the earth.
Well, I can take this picture, post it and write "even with this camera angle, the generator is really loud to hear".
Nothing wrong with your opinion, but posting pictures as a proof for something which is transmitted via hearing is...meh.
-
I also cant hear it, because it is a picture...
Include a video when you want to proof something. o_O
-
Thats cool that you already knew it. But my response was to the guy who did NOT know it.
But well, here, have a cookie.
-
Tier 1 Michael is not seen by OoO. Neither can Michael see the Survivor. This is mostly, because Michael actually REALLY needs to get to EW2, otherwise he will not achieve anything.
Also, Freddy is immune to OoO while the Survivor is not in Dreamworld. But Freddy sees the Survivor.
-
When Ghost Face is out for a while, a lot less players will use OoO. Some will use it, but they would have used it anyway.
-
Could have been a Bug.
Had this happen to me one time where Devour Hope was not displayed and there was no information about the Exposed Status. The guy who unhooked me got downed immediatly, so I was thinking that I missed Make your Choice.
But then I went down in one Hit, while fully healed. Turns out, it was Devour without any Notification. The Totem did also not do any sound when cleansed.

@Jimsalabim said:
so what is the difference between this celebration offering and bloodyparty streamers? expect for the extra 3% ?!?
They are way more frequently.
-
Well, I can only say what I have seen when you were in my game. And this pretty much displays why you will get a Blackpip.
-
In every game where I had you as Killer you were camping near the Hook and tunneling the guy who just got unhooked.
So yeah, the BP you get dont mean anything for the Emblems you get. I think you did not understand this yet...
-
Knowing you, I bet you did not move that much from the Hook. You get punished for that. Easy.
-
Well, I can only say the same I did when people were crying about Legion being dead (haha...): You should expect changes to paid content everytime in Online Games. This goes for Legion, but also to Mettle of Man.
I also ran this Perk, now I run another one. Fine. No big Deal.
-
BBQ, Whispers, Enduring, Spirit Fury.
-
You cannot really buff Sabotage. I mean, I only sabotage when I have the Daily, and while I try to sabo Hooks to 99%, it rarely pays of. I am either playing Solo or in a 2 man SWF, so it is not the most effective thing when not in a 4 man SWF. And even then, it is not optimal, because there is no guarantee that someone will go down near this Hook I just sabotaged to 99%...
But, if you would make sabotage actually viable, you simply promote slugging. If people run around, sabotaging Hooks which makes it not possible for the Killer to hook anyone (and doing this in a reliable way), the Killer will just keep those people slugged.
And in general, I dont think that something that sabotages (haha) one of the Core Mechanics of the Game (putting people on Hook) should be so strong that it is a real option. Sometimes and for fun Builds, yes. Viable so that it can be used frequently - no.
-
Sure, the more the actual game gets improved, the better. But if it is possible to implement it in a reasonable amount of time, I would be very happy to have it.
Ah, I am currently wearing the new Top with the Zebra Pants and the Harajuku Head :P Or sometimes I take the ripped black Pants with one of the oversized Shirts and the Harajuku Head. When Ghostface comes live, I will try the black long Hair cosmetic, since they improved it on the PTB... So I more than that! :P
-
In general, why it is not possible to save Outfit combinations?
I am switching between a few combinations for my Main, but I always have to go through three menus to get it. Why cant I just save it and equip it with one click?
-
Yeah, this is what this game needs - difficulty for the most boring action in existence so that you can even die from it.
Struggling on the Hook should be automatic with an option to let yourself die. Nothing else.
-
Why should this be the case?
You lose your PWYF-Tokens not only when doing offensive actions vs your Obsession.
-
They could also got DCed by the game. You probably got unlucky that this happened a few times in a row.
-
I am a Survivor Main (but also play quite a lot of Killer), and I like the Ghost Face changes. I have not played vs him, will do that when he is live, but I have faced the first PTB version and I never had such boring games in DBD, ever.
-
They are quite situational. And they are only worth mentioning because Ghost Face is coming out soon. But, while indeed more people will run those Perks during the days after Release, once people are not playing that much Ghost Face anymore (either because they grinded him or because he simply is not new and they prefer their favorite Killers), people will not use those Perks in such a high number as they will when he is fresh on Live.
And in the end, it is true - this is the purpose of those Perks. And using those less than mediocre Perks will remove a Perk Slot for an actual good Perk.
(Also from my experience, the people who are using Premonition right now are...not really those kind of Survivors a Killer should fear)
-
Imagine complaining about less than mediocre Perks like Spine Chill or Premonition.
-
Having seen a few videos, sometimes being right behind Survivors who are looking at Ghost Face and not getting him out of Stealth Mode looks a little bit weird.
But overall, calling for Nerfs or further Buffs should only happen when he is live. PTB can show the obvious things when a Killer is clearly too strong or clearly too weak (like it was with the first version of Ghost Face). But the finetuning should only be done based on the Live Server, when people know how to play and play against Ghost Face.
-
Those who already run OoO will also run it when Ghost Face is live.
But other than a short peak when he is new, not many more players will run Detection Perks. So in the end, you will not notify any change after a few weeks, when not everyone is playing Ghost Face.
-
It depends how the player is playing her. I dont have a problem losing vs a good Hag, good Hag players are simply amazing. She is probably my favourite Killer to play.
But I once had a Basement Hag as Killer. Iron Grasp, Agitation, Mad Grit, Ruin. And Basement vs Hag is basically the end of the game, especially if this Hag traps the Basement with a million traps.
And well, those are the Hags I dont like - who hook someone and then put not one, not two, but all ten Traps around the Hook (or at least: A lot of Traps around the Hook). Or those who chase with Hag, will not get anyone because she is slow AF, but then get their Kills with NOED.
-
To be honest, I think DS could be changed to a drastically shorter time, but will not expire when slugged.
A Killer who downs the unhooked person and keeps them on the ground for 60 seconds still tunneled.
And a Killer who goes after other persons and then downs and picks up the Survivor who got unhooked 58 seconds ago, is not tunneling, but will still get hit by DS.
Something like 15-20 seconds would sound ok.
Or, to make something from the idea OP provided:
When you are the next person who is downed, DS will activate and will be active until hooked or used.
When you are not the next person who gets downed, DS will become inactive.
(But the problem here is that in theory the unhooked person can have DS the whole game ready, when no one else gets downed. So I would prefer the time instead of the condition)
-
If you want to get rid of Pallet Looping, there need to be WAY more Pallets to actually get some Distance from the Killer.
If you have 10 Pallets on a Map and Looping is possible, you cannot simply remove the ability to loop and keep those 10 Pallets there.
But I feel, if this would happen, people will simply not understand..
-
I got the Achievement with both pink Add-Ons. But I had one person not looking at all, and another Person who WANTED to be stalked. He saw me and just sit in front of me to get stalked.
He was not really helping his team with that..
-
A little revival to this Thread. Had a comment on my Steam Profile. Game vs Spirit, she got one on the Hook at the End because of NOED. The moment NOED got cleansed, she DCed.
Had this comment on my profile 3 times:
"-rep rêtarded nîgger gen rushing with SWF and Dstrike worst nîgger survivor ever seen hardstuck rank 15 btw fat loser nîggerface"
I mean, I was playing Tapp, but well... 3 times, because he needed to find a way to write "#########" without Steam censoring it. I was Solo and did not have DS, but ok...
-
The only thing that might need a change for Spirit is the rarity of Prayer Beads. It would be completely fine to swap it with Fathers Glasses so it is a pink Add-On.
Other than that, Spirit is fine. You get destroyed by Iron Will, had one game yesterday where 3 out of 4 Survivors had Iron Will, and I was not able to track them. So if you struggle vs Spirit, try to use Iron Will, it is a really good Perk anyway.
-
Because Survivors have to share what they are doing AND they also have one category where it is not realistic to get max Points.
The Survivor Category awards 5k Points for Surviving, and the rest are just meaningless amounts of points you get, for mending, Self Healing (and well... Even Skill Checks when healing yourself count for Altruism), Snap Out. You get a few more actions tho, where you can get Survival Points, the EGC gave a few and running away from Ghostface while Exposed will also help with that.
But the other point, sharing. Well, if you dont have any Boldness, because the Killer does not chase you, you cannot do anything about that. If the Killer chases another person, you will not get your points. You will sit on a Gen, with Max Objective Points and wont get any more points, but there is nothing else to do then...
Solution for both would be to remove the Cap for the Categories and just keep the 32k Points Cap. This way, both Survivor and Killer would be able to achieve Max Points.
(The same what was written above counts for Killer, but less extreme, because they dont have to share and also get points in all Categories quite reliable. But well, if you already have Max Brutality, but not Sacrifice, you will not get any points for hitting Survivors, as an example).

Most likely an overexaggeration due to having it occur frequently.
Bad spawns frequently is still a bad thing though.
Sure, no one can deny that really bad Totem Spawns exist. But I have had matches were my Totems were found pretty late or even never. And also had matches as Survivor, where Ruin stayed up all game.
But nearly no Killer will remember the good Totem Spots, but all the bad ones and is going to say that Ruin is at a bad Sport in EVERY game. Which is simply wrong.
-
Are you sure it is EVERY match?
Because I doubt that it is EVERY match.
-
Map Offerings should stay as they are, but I would prefer to have them Secret. Some Killer Builds only work with certain Offerings, and it would be wrong to remove fun Builds like Scratched Mirror Myers by removing or tweaking Map Offerings.
Also Survivors should be able to pick a Map they would like to play on. Nothing wrong with both.
One time I had 4 times the game in a row, 3 times random, 1 time picked by the Killer. I just then put in an Haddonfield Offering.
But, like I said, they should be Secret so that neither Killers nor Survivors can DC in the Loading Screen, just because they will play on a Map they dont like. And more Secret Offerings would mean a higher variety, currently the only Secret Offering on Killer Side is a Mori or a Splinter. But those are rarely used, same goes for Shrouds, and Shrouds are almost meaningless for the Killer.
-
Yeah, the Cap needs to be higher. If a new Character comes out, being able to level him up to level 35 or whatever is not really nice. Basically you are also forced to spend Shards at this point to level further, considering how many Perks are in the game, chances are high that 1 Million BPs is not enough to have a decent Build on a new Killer.
Or simply change the Grind, then the Cap can stay.
-
Seeing who the Killer is, is a big fat "NO". Survivors would dodge Lobbies, and only because Killers can do this Bullshit, Survivors should not have reasons to do it on their own.
Regarding seeing the Items: Honestly, I think it is ok, but Killers will say that they want to prepare (e.g. by bringing Franklins Demise), but in reality they will simply dodge. If Lobbydodging would not be possible then Survivors would be able to bring their Items without having to do this Nonsense like Last Second Switches.
In the end, Survivors should also be able to bring their Items they spent BPs on.
Personally, I never dodge. If there are 4 Survivors with Items, I will play it, even though it is more difficult. But when someone switches in the last Second, I will close the game in Loading Screen. If they carry a Flashlight, fine, if they are doing Bullshit like this, nope.
-
I would not compare Michael to Ghost Face. If Michael would not be immune to Detection Perks, he will have a hard time getting out of EW1, which renders him useless.
I think the Ghost Face changes should be fine as they are. In the end, People will only use Perks like Spine Chill on the PTB, but not on live, just because of Ghost Face.
-
Some opinion on the Perks you mentioned:
NOED-->To be honest, cleansing Totems is not optimal at all. You spend the time running around to cleanse 5 Totems for a Perk the Killer might not have. And when you did one Totem, you basically have to do all Totems, because every second you spend on Dull Totems is wasted, when you dont to all Totems. I mean, I still do that, but still, it is not optimal.
(NOED can be changed in something different, OhTofu made a good suggestion. Removing the Hex-Status and let it activate after all Gens are done. Based on the Number of Hooks the Killer got, the effect will be stronger. He suggested like 0,5% MS per Hook and Insta-Downs after a specific Number...Which would be cool, because it would actually reward Killers who did well, but still did not manage to do enough and not those Killers, who did not get any Hooks the whole game and then get their 1-2 Kills because of NOED)
This is btw. the only Killer Perk I would call Bullshit. The rest is not OP at all. Good, but not OP.
Now the other Perks:
BBQ-->Mostly only because of BP-Gain. Aura-Read is fully useable on many Killers, and from the Meta Perks probably the one with the least Impact on Games.
Spirit Fury&Enduring-->Its not OP, but saying it only works on Billy and Leatherface is simply wrong. Basically every 115% MS M1-Killer can benefit from it. There might be other Builds possible, but going for those two Perks on M1-Killers is never a bad idea.
Nurses Calling-->Only 28 meters (not 24), yes. But it is mostly used on Killers with Small TR. And playing a Hag with M&A and Nurses is simply good, 16m TR and 28m Detection is great.
Ruin-->It is simply a lie that this Perk gets cleansed every time in 1 minute. Yeah, I spawned on Ruin in games. I also had Survivors spawn on my Ruin. But other than that, there were games where I had my Ruin full game. And in the end, I feel that many Killers think that Ruin means that they can focus 100% on chases, which is wrong. They still need to pressure Gens and they still need to look for their Totem. Its not like Ruin is blocking all the Gens until it is cleansed, but I feel some Killer Mains really think it is.
Now on the Survivor Perks:
MoM is strong, cannot disagree.
Urban Evasion-->Sounds good for stealthy people, but honestly, Killers can also be happy for people who stealth around with Urban Evasion, because those are most likely not effective.
DS--> Strong, but I wish it would be changed. Maybe let it last a shorter period of time, but remove slugging as a counter. If the Killer comes back to the Hook and smacks me on the ground after 10 seconds, he still tunneled, but can avoid the DS. On the other hand, if the Killer chases the Unhooker, hooks them, and then finds me and picks me up after 58 seconds from my Unhook, he did not tunnel, but still gets punished. Smaller amount of time for DS to trigger, but dont let it expire when slugged. (Dont know if 20 seconds sounds reasonable, but well)
BL-->Strong, broken on some few Maps, but also almost useless on others. I mean, when the only Drop Spot you have is a Hill, you would be probably better with DH.
Self Care-->Even with Botany, using Self Care is a waste of time.
Borrowed Time-->I think its an OK Perk. And honestly, you get farmed so often by BT-Guys. As a Killer, just follow the guy who just got unhooked and wait a little bit. You will get them, even with Borrowed. So yeah, dont worry, BT is not only bad for Killers.
Regarding "Gen Rush":
There is nothing else a Survivor can do. If you dont get chased, you need to do Gens. I mean, I am not a Gen Rusher, I also look for Chests or Totems, but if I want to be effective, I need to sit on a Gen. Therefore, the Term "Gen Rush" is simply stupid. If a Killer is bringing good Add Ons to have it easier, would you say he is "Kill Rushing"? You wouldnt.
Regarding Loops, there is also nothing a Survivor can do. If you want to remove Looping, you need to have WAY more Pallets. But thats something I am pretty sure most people will not understand. Lets say you have 10 Pallets on a Map and the ability to Loop. If you would remove the ability to loop, but the number of Pallets stays the same, this would not work. Pallets would be gone in like 2 minutes and then this is it. You would need to increase the Number of Pallets so that Survivors have enough time to get distance and to lose the Killer.
I mean, they will change some Loops so that they are shorter. And I am pretty sure that the Number of Pallets will increase because of this. And I can already imagine the outrage.
Regardiing MoM, just because I read it:
You can counter it with Chainsaws, EW3 Myers and Pinky Finger. If you down someone with Chainsaws 2 times, they will most likely not get MoM. If you down them with EW3 Myers two times, they will have only two stacks. Same for pinky Finger.
And if they are full Health and you down them with one of the above, it will not activate at all, because its not from Injured to Dying. Just because it just pops up while reading your post.
Regarding Fun Killers:
Maybe I am not the right person for this, but the only Killers I dont like to verse where pre-patch Legion and right now Plague. Plague most likely because people cleanse vs her (there need to be some change, yes, it should be mandatory to cleanse and Corrupt Purge should not be that strong in return).
But other than that, I dont mind to play vs Nurse, Billy, Spirit. If I have bad games, I will most likely use Items after a while, like Med-Kits and sometimes Insta-Heals. Like, two days ago, I lost 1 1/2 Levels, so I lust 8 pips or so in one evening, I started to bring Insta-Heals, just because of that. And I can get when Killers start to use the strong Stuff, just to have a better game than the one(s) before.
Playing as Killer, I dont have a problem with playing any Killer, even the weaker ones. I mean, I might be some kind of Masochist, but I like to play Leatherface and Trapper. But I dont expect good results in them, I dont expect constant 4Ks. And that is something I think many Killer players expect - constant 4Ks. You can also win with only having a 3K. You can at least Blackpip in other games, when you do well. I feel that people might need to accept that with weaker Killers, they will not get such good results. e.g. with Trapper, when you run a normal Build, you will have a difficult game. If you use the two Red Add-Ons, you will do better, yes. And in an ideal world, all Killers would have roughly the same strange, but this can only happen if ALL Killers get buffed/reworked and Nurse gets nerfed. And this is not gonna happen.
So yeah, when playing a weaker Killer, dont expect really strong games. If you start accepting this, it is easier.
TL;DR:
I have too much freetime.
And in my opinion, DBD will NEVER be completely balanced. You have:
Good Killers (Spirit, Nurse, Billy) vs Bad Killers (Trapper, Leatherface, Doctor)
SWF vs Solo Survivor
Good Perks (Ruin, MoM, DS, Adrenaline, BBQ, Spirit Fury/Enduring) vs Bad Perks (monstrous Shrine, overwhelming Presence, No One Left Behind, Sole Survivor)
RNG (Windows open or not open)
The current DBD is the closest to balance you can get. Just think of it as a game and enjoy it as much as possible, you cannot win all games. And dont be salty in End Game Chat, it is always cool to meet some nice people out there, who give you credit, even when they did not get any Kills or when you beat them and they got sacrificed.
-
And this is what is the problem with ALL SWF-ideas:
The Tryhards will bypass this by lobby dodging.
The Casuals will suffer and most likely not play anymore.

"Oh, and it would help a lot if the Killer would not run into the direction of his Totem right at the start to check it. If someone is on it, it will be gone eventually anyway, but for me, I can find a lot of Hex-Totems, just because the Killer decides to run to it ASAP."
Devils advocate here. The times you don't run straight to it, it gets cleanses instantly because someone spawned there. You know how many times I can run straight to it and someones already on it? A LOT.
It's a lose/lose situation.
"But well - where do you expect them to be? There need to be 5 Totems on the Map, and they all need to be placed with some restrictions. They cannot be just random, so they have Totem Spots. But there need to be some obvious ones, because otherwise you will have even less potential Totem Spots, which results in Hex-Perks found even earlier."
This is because of poor map design limiting the places they can be placed.
I mean, yeah, it can happen that someone spawns on it and can cleanse it. I would lie if I say that this does not happen to me. In fact, one time I did not see my Hex immediatly (probably behind a Gen from my Point of View), and it got cleansed before I knew where it was.
But, if someone spawns on the Hex, the Hex is basically gone. This person will go back to it as soon as possible, and if others see it as well, it is pointless anyway.
So I prefer not to go to my Hex so that people cannot guess where it is.
Regarding the Map Design:
Maybe when they put in more but shorter Loops, there are more Hiding Positions. But so far the number is limited and I prefer some more obvious spots rather than X Hidden Spots, when this means that those Spots can be checked quite fast.
Like I said, I wish they would change in appearance. Totems are too big, you can see them from miles away. They should be smaller (1/3 of their current size). Still visible, but you cannot see them when you are far away.
-
If they would combine those two Perks, I would be happy, because I am using We Will Make It in every of my Builds. If they would than change the Healing and make it weaker, I would not bother with the Extra BP. If I want to get BPs fast, I play Killer, because BBQ-Stacks are easier to get than WGLF-Stacks, and the overall income is higher.
-
Basically what the guy above me said is a good point.
But other than that, they are working on Totem Spots, even though I think Totems should change in appearance.
But well - where do you expect them to be? There need to be 5 Totems on the Map, and they all need to be placed with some restrictions. They cannot be just random, so they have Totem Spots. But there need to be some obvious ones, because otherwise you will have even less potential Totem Spots, which results in Hex-Perks found even earlier.
Oh, and it would help a lot if the Killer would not run into the direction of his Totem right at the start to check it. If someone is on it, it will be gone eventually anyway, but for me, I can find a lot of Hex-Totems, just because the Killer decides to run to it ASAP.

What the downside when a survivor is an obsession without the killer use any of their perk (DS, MOM, OoO...).
Erm, ok.
-
You want to get gen-rushed? Because thats how you get gen-rushed.
You should be happy for every Survivor who is wasting 32 seconds (or even more with Perks like Thanatophobia or Sloppy Butcher) to heal themselves and is not working on a Gen.
