It's almost like SWF was a terrible, terrible idea that ran counter to the overall theme and atmosphere to the game, and the Devs only put it in to stop the incessant whining of people who wanted to grief Killers as a group.
Or maybe people just want to play with their friends? I mean, even with 4 man SWF, not all of them are those super-optimal Squads. And even IF they are optimal, there are even less SWFs who play to bully the Killer.
I mean, if Killers can decide if they want to play vs SWF or not (what they already do by cherrypicking their lobbies... And losing vs 4 Solos, which they accuse to be SWF in the Chat afterwards..), I also want to decide which Killers I want to verse. But thats as stupid as the ability to decide whether to play vs SWF or not.

Survive With Friends isn't fair and that's why you'd Opt In to play against Survive With Friends? Have I misunderstood what OP is suggesting or are you just being contradictory
He probably does not know what "Opt In" means.
-
Oh, another Thread about SWF. How unique.
-
All of her Add-Ons need a rework. Some are useless, some make her too strong, mainly Range Add-Ons (Omegeblink) and Extra Blinks.
Nurse itself will most likely not need a rework. The only thing that bothers me are her Lunges, they look so wrong, even when playing as Nurse. But with the change of animations, this might not be an issue anymore.
-
@George_Soros said:
Wait, what is this about? They mentioned something about nerfing Nurse in the stream?
Nurse is on the list of Killers they will have some insight on. Others are Trapper, Hag, Leatherface and I think Doctor, if I am not mistaken.
Anyways, Omegablink und more than 2 Blinks are not needed. Even without Add-Ons, Nurse will be the best Killer, without any doubt.
And there is nothing wrong with removing those things, because they make Nurse insane (and are still not needed, even vs 4 man SWF).
-
As much as I would like that, I dont think this is the correct way. You should only get points when you are doing something. Being on the Hook and not killing yourself when you get camped is not "doing something".
-
The Perk should not have anything to do with Aura Reading, because it will either be ridiculous strong (at low Ranks) or pointless (at High Ranks).
For rushed Actions, there is only one occasion where it really does something - this would be Quick&Quiet. And this Perk is mediocre. But Rushed Actions happen more at low ranks, because people dont understand yet that this will cause a Noise for Killers.
Same goes for missed Skill Checks - even with Ruin it is quite rare that people miss Skill Checks at High Ranks. While at low Ranks people miss Skill Checks, even without Ruin.
Personally, I would wish to rework the Perk to something else, because it will be underwhelming for High Ranks, whatever is done to it and will only be strong at low Ranks.
-
Plague being 115% MS was an important information (they stated that it is) they gave us, and based on that, I am pretty sure that he will stay at 115% MS.
-
To be fair, even if you play the Tutorial, you will not learn about Perks. Pretty sure you can read about them ingame, but nobody reads something and everyone just wants to start playing the name game he got.
-
@AetherBytes said:
So you're saying that 3 survivors get away because I didn't camp stairs? You know, the thing survivors get toxic about?
Sorry, it is just dumb to leave the Basement with 3 Survivors hooked in there when all Gens are powered.
You simply played wrong. If you would have played correct, you would have gotten 3 or even 4 Kills.
Camping when Exit Gates are powered is a valid strategy and tbh there is nothing else a Killer can do at this point.
-
Survivors are loud af at the moment. LIke, REALLY loud. That goes for healthy (Breathing) and Injured (moans). So people who did not use Iron Will yet should think about using it.
-
The 3 seconds were even too short without Enduring, because 1/3 of it went away in the animation.
-
I can also be balance to keep the Stun Time at 5 seconds tbh.

taking a hit for a survivor seems to be a bit broken cause i was behind a survivor and got hit and i dident get annything towards my mettle darn

I dont know if it will be useful for me, I like to do Unhooks, but I dont want to rush to an Unhook to get my MoM-Stacks. Besides that, other people would do it as well.
But I like that they did not only let Protection Hits count but also Unhooks.
Will give it a try and need to test it out.
-
tbh, pre Buff Stun Time was not really useful, even without Enduring, because the animation took away 1/3 of it.
During the PTB where they changed DS, it was not really useful to me, because I almost never got tunneled off Hook. Same when I tested it on the Live Server, and then it was too short.
Will need to test the time now on PTB and see what it does....
-
If you had 3 people hooked in the Basement, how can you ######### up so badly that the forth guy can rescue them? Did you walk full map away?

Did you just explain to us how to Gentap?
-
Thats why I wrote "not found before". If a Survivor sees it first, he knows where it is, sure. If the Killer sees it while chasing another Survivor, he knows it. If there is a SWF, the Hatch Position is also known.
Regarding RNG, in general this game is really RNG-heavy at some points. Windows Open/Closed, Structures next to each other... But I am not sure if this can really be addressed, because in the end, variety is a good thing in DBD, even if you get the same Map, it can be different.
-
Personally, I think it would be enough if everyone would get at least a Black Pip when one or more players DC.
So the Killer cannot depip when the Survivors DC and the Survivors cannot depip when other Survivors DC or when the Killer DCs.
-
Whatever the game costs for me with all DLCs when I bought it on Discount.
+ I think like 40 Euros in Auric Cells
+ nearly all DLCs (some bought with Shards)
So most likely around 100 Euros, if more, not much more.

Well i'm going to until i'm either banned or they introduce a casual game mode.
Then I hope they will ban you for thinking that you are so entitled that you can get away with anything, just because you spent some money on a game.

I don't think this is necessary. Killers and survivors have the same % of chance of finding the hatch.
The hatch is already an *extra* option of escaping, even when survivors fail to do any, partially, or all their 5 objectives.
And if the killer closes it, the survivor still has 2 more chances of escaping. It won't be easy, though. But the exit gates spawn right from the beginning of the match and the survivor can spot them beforehand. Besides, it wasn't easy for the killer to lead into this scenario either.
And from personal experience: As a killer I very rarely spot the hatch before it comes into play, so looking for it becomes a race vs the remaining survivor, and I've seen plenty of them escaping. And dying.
And playing as a survivor, I've died mostly before, and seldom after it spawns, and I've escaped both from jumping into the hatch or opening the gate, the same. It's fine IMO.
Nah, the Killer is in favor of finding the Hatch. If the Hatch was not found before by the Killer or Survivor and if no Luck is involved, the Killer has the advantage. He moves faster and does not need to hide from anything.
But what should be taken into consideration is the Distance of Exit Gates to each other and Exit Gate Distance to the Hatch. It needs a Minimum and Maximum. I had one game on Thompsons House where the Exit Gates were on the same side of the Trial Wall and that close to each other that a Nurse without blinking would be able to go from one Gate to the other. If this would happen during EGC, this would be no chance for the Survivor.
And I have also seen Gates which spawn so far apart from each other, that I was not able to travel from one to the other with a 115% MS Killer.
I dont think that Surviving the EGC should be easy, I dont care for Survival. But there should be less RNG in it.
-
I can see Claudettes without any problem.
And I am pretty sure that many people will also see those Claudettes that are hugging a Wall or Rock and think that they are invisible.

I spent money on this game because I enjoyed playing it. Now I don't enjoy playing it because the game is unbalanced due to SWF at high ranks, so yeah until they provide a casual game mode I feel I can DC as there is no alternative. Feel free to disagree but this is my opinion and at the end of the day i'm a valuable customer.
Nope, you cannot DC.
You can not play the game, this is fine. And far better for 4 other players than a Killer who DCs every game until he is at a Rank where he gets the easier Survivors.
-
Ah, you spent money on this game? Yeah, so you can totally DC. Spending money on a game gives you the ability to avoid any punishment.
-
I thought "Exposed" means that the Killer sees my Aura. So Haunted Grounds-->All Survivors are visible for the Killer for a full Minute.

So tell me what's different about stomping potatoes but just intentionally playing bad and delaying the game a little bit?
This isn't skill either. It's just intentionally farming.
The same can be said about several killers losing chaser points for using their power properly. Huntress, Trapper, Hillbilly, Leatherface, Myers, Pig's RBTs if survivors somehow die to them, and killer using insta downs such as Make Your Choice, Devourer of Hope, etc.
My point is, you shouldn't have to intentionally make mistakes in a match (for both sides) to require pipping up. That's kind of against the point of being skilled.
Tbh, if you stomp Potatoes, just stomp them and accept that its a Black Pip. You did not do anything exceptionally well, so dont expect a Reward for it.
But on the other Hand, when you are in Red Ranks and you play vs High Level Survivors and beat them, it feels way more rewarding and you will get your PIp.
(I dont mean "you" in particular, this is just the way I use to express myself.)
In short:
Beating up weak players (either Killers or Survivor) = not skilled.
Winning vs good Killers/Survivors = skilled.
-
This would not really be able to balance.
I mean, it will be either too strong or too weak. But even if you put like 40 seconds, which is a lot - just imagine you give back a really good Pallet to a competent Survivor. This will cost the Killer more than 40 seconds.
Just imagine Jungle Gym into Cow Loop into Jungle Gym. 3 Survivors rebuild the Pallets at the same time, while one Survivor is looping the Killer. He will easily waste more than those 40 seconds. So it would be something where SWFs would benefit more than Solos, because as a Solo Survivor I cannot simply repair one Pallet for 40 seconds, without knowing if I or anyone else will ever come to this spot to use it.
And sometimes, even one Pallet would be enough to waste over 40 seconds.
So yeah, it must be incredible weak, basically pointless to rebuild Pallets, to be balanced, because it would need to be balanced to Top Tier Survivors.

Ranking is meant to separate Skill-levels, so people have matches where you need to actually do something.
Not piping after stomping isn't a good ranking system. Since it just keeps you with people you stomp.
Nope, the Survivors will depip. If a Match is over in like 3 minutes with a 4K, the Survivors will all depip. But the Killer will keep his Rank.
And apparently, if the game is done that fast, the Killer did not do that much. So no Reward for not doing anything. Sounds fine.
(I mean, as a Survivor, I also do not pip when the Killer is bad. And thats fair, I played vs a Killer who is not good, so why should I get rewarded for that as well?)
-
If you manage to win so easily, you probably stomped some Potatoes. So you think you should get a reward for not doing anything that would justify a reward? Many games are like that nowadays...Do nothing-->Win.
I think a game where you actually need to do something is more rewarding. Pretty sure you had quite an easy game when you win that fast.
btw. on Survivor Side pipping is also not that easy... You have to rely on your Teammates making mistakes so that you can get some Unhooks and also do some more Gens than usual. Also the Killer needs to be decent, otherwise probably all Survivors will not pip, a Killer who cannot hook anyone will not help with the Benevolence-Emblem.
-
Great idea, give Killers more reasons to dodge Lobbies.
Really excited to see Killer Mains who wait for 4 Solos which Perk Loadouts like Boil Over, Vigil, Left Behind, Sole Survivor and so on...
-
They need to look into the Distance between the Gates to each other and the distance between the Gates and the Hatch.
If EGC would not start when the Hatch is closed, there would be even less chance as a Survivor (Hatch closing is 100% Killer-sided, Killer is more likely to find it first, due to higher MS and no need to hide from anything), because then Gens would need to be done, and depending on the Number or Location of those, this might be really hard to pull-off, if not impossible.
Furthermore, it would not prevent anyone from just stealthing around the whole time. If the last Survivor decides to not do anything, the game will never end. And in the end, thats what EGC is for.

She has downsides to her ability. Let's go over them
Every additional blink adds 0.5 fatigue
Lowest movement speed in the game. Physically can't win the game without using her power.
Blinking can be hindered by the smallest irregularities in map tiles
Can be burned out of blinks with flashlights
Lets go over the nerfs the Nurse has had since release.
Base blinks down from 3 to 2
Aim assist removed from attacks from blink
Movement speed lower twice to be where it is now
Can be stunned by palettes while blinking
Added flashlight burn weakness to her blinks
After all of this she's still the best killer and has a high skill cap. You need to let it go.
Things that got changed to balance her should not go into affect. We are talking about current Nurse. Was she better with 3 Blinks? Sure. Does it make her not the best Killer? Nah.
Of course she gets fatique, but who cares about that? Those downsides are too small to have any real effect.
Thats the same as saying that Insta Heals are balanced, because they decrease the charges of your Med-Kit and use it when you use the Insta-Heal. Two quite big Downsides, but nobody would say that those are enough to balance Insta-Heals. Same goes for Nurse.

Fatigue is the downside to her ability. That and her low move speed, she's even slower than survivors.
Haha.
Sorry, you really made me laugh here.
-
If Nurse would have been released today, she would not see any Scratchmarks. She would have some form of Downside to her ability.
But well, you cannot ask for Killer Nerfs in this Forum.
Besides that, the Add-Ons need some Insight. Nurse does not need more than 2 Blinks and she does not need Omegablink. She is the best Killer without Add-Ons, even if others are using Add-Ons.
-
I use Range Add-Ons and Setting Speed. Maybe Trigger Range would be better, but I am so used to the faster Setting Speed, that it feels quite clumsy for me when I use Bodyblocker Hag and dont use Setting Speed Add-Ons there.
For Perks, everything is written here. BBQ is mostly for the BP Gain, you will not reach any Survivor you spot with it.
Also, dont chase with Hag. She is slow and except when you are certain that you will get the down, you will most likely only waste your time chasing someone. Also dont cluster your Traps in one Area, spread them out and try to use narrow Passes. Lerys is an amazing Map for Hag, so many Choke Points. And you will really hate Corn Maps - they are open and Hag is so small that it is hard to see.
She is a lot of fun to play, probably my favorite Killer.
-
At which Rank are you playing at the moment?
-
Survivor: We Will Make It
I like to be altruistic and to get everyone out, also I feel quite useful with it. I simply like the fast healing.
Killer: I like BBQ a lot, but favorite is probably Spirit Fury. I simply like the brutality when the Pallets slams my Head and is instantly gone, as well as I can imagine, how the Survivor knows then that he will go down.
-
Pretty sure that Killers would not complain about DCs when they would get their BBQ-Stack. At least I have not seen any Killers complain about Survivors killing themselfes on their first Hook.
And yes, dodging should have some form of Punishment. Longer Queue-Times. If it is Ping, it should not get any Punishment. But if it is one more or less stupid reason, there should be punishment.
In the end Killers always claim that they see Survivors to prepare. But if there are 4 Survivors with Items, they will simply dodge and not bring Franklins...
-
Survivor: Maximum 2 minutes.
Killer: 3-5 Minutes.
EU Region
-
New Dailies would be awesome.
In general, I think its ok that different Killers are in that Daily. In the end it can encourage players to test out Killers they did not play before and give some variety.
I dont like the Survivor Dailies which specify one Survivor. They are all Skins, so it should not matter, if I need to open one Gate with Dwight or Claudette.
-
You cannot expect to have a Multiplayer Onlinegame without the option to play with each other. This is simply not possible.
Besides that, if you make it harder for people to play together, you will only have more Tryhards. The casual players who just want to play with their friends will more likely quit DBD if it is hard(er) for them to play together. The Tryhards will find their ways.
-
The mouth of the Puppet is closed, when Ash brings a Key. (I would bring Screenshots, but I dont have any Keys on Ash)
-
It would not only start with Perks. I mean, can you imagine how a Myers will get his Evil, when everyone knows that you are playing vs Myers? Sure, this can happen with 4 man SWFs as well, but those are not as common and also there would be the chance to get at least Evil from one Survivor. When everyone sees "Oh, its Myers", they will be super-aware.
When it comes to Perks, the Killer I most enjoy is Hag. I would not be able to run Hag, because everyone would instantly equip Urban Evasion, making my Traps nearly useless. And the Dodging is on top - Nurse will be the Killer? Nah. Trapper is the Killer? Cool, I stay and will equip Small Game.
The reason why Killers can see the Survivors is to prepare. (even though, Killers will rather dodge, because they are so entitled like Survivors and will rather dodge and keep their BBQ for another game, rather than replace it with Franklins to get rid of the Toolboxes...)
-
It should not have be a problem for you to force the Survivors at the Gate out.
EGC is not for those type of Survivor, it is for those guys who either want to search the Hatch for 2k Extra Objective Points or for those who make a fun of simply not leaving and stealthing around the Map. For Exit Gates, the Killer could simply walk to them and hit the Survivors out (really, get over Teabagging... If they are immature, be at least so mature and stand above it). If a Survivor decides to hold the game Hostage by simply not leaving and hiding, there was nothing a Killer can do about.
-
Its enough that Killers are lobbydodging for various reasons, this should not transfer to the Survivor-Side as well.
The only thing I wish would be changed on the Lobby would be that the Names are hidden.
-
@Carpemortum They are not invisible. You cannot see them easily, but that is due to the Key being small and not because of Ashy Slashy.
-
From all the Meta-Perks, BBQ is probably the one with the least impact. The Aura Read is not even really useful on many Killers. If you see a Leatherface, Trapper or maybe even Hag with BBQ, they only use it for the BPs. Aura Read only really benefits the fast Killers like Nurse, Spirit or Billy.
For a Standard M1-Killer, Perks which would help in a Chase would be more useful, like Bamboozle or Brutal Strength. And using Bamboozle on the Shack Window to force the Pallet thrown earlier than usual will have a bigger impact than Aura Reading of Survivors, who will not be there anymore when a 115% MS-Killer reachs them.
