Obviously you did not play when you left the game.

Thinking how popular Kate is, I would not expect Shards. I was surprised that Meg was available with Shards (but it was the first outfit in a long time, if I am not mistaken, which was not AC only).

Which is why more people should join team PGTW. :D
100% agree. But people have used Ruin for months and even years, they will not stop, even tho they are complaining a lot about Ruin. But PGTW is better.

And you think that being antisocial helps with talking with random people? Not really.
I am totally against this. I would not use that. First of all, not everyone can speak English ina way that he can actually be part in a conversation. Second, I do not want to talk to random people online, especially, when we consider how bad and toxic some parts of this community are. Nope, I prefer not to get myself shouted at by some (insert Country here) guy, neither in English, nor in his native language.
And I am pretty sure that I am not the only one. So those people should be screwed then?

Nice, 250k BPs for me. Thats all it will be when it is in the Shrine.

I used to wait there to give the Killer some points. Since I know that not everybody likes that, I am only doing that during Double BP Events or when a BPS is burned.
Other than that, I only wait when not all Survivors are near the Exit Gates to bodyblock.
But well, since it is not that long, when I play Killer, I just do some stuff to get BPs (Chainsawing with Billy, setting Traps as Trapper or whatever).
-
Some form of maximum Ping when searching for a Lobby would indeed be nice. Dont know if it would increase queue times or if this increase would even matter. I mean, if people with 200 ping join into your Lobby, you dont want them there and they dont want to be there.
Like yesterday I needed 25 minutes to find a Lobby as Survivor on PC, which is usually the better side when it comes to waiting times. I got dodged once from a good ping, but other than that, I never had Ping under 150, 4 times I ended up in a lobby with 290 ping (probably always the same lobby, but it was not happening in a row).
And I really dont know why I get connected with players who obviously dont really live near my region.

Typical survivor main.butthurt.instead of seeing how fast gens get done and that nurse requires a skilled player to play properly and not get looped around high objects you come to this topic to cry about nurse.get the ######### out of here
Typical Killer Main, only focussing on one problem but ignoring the other problem shown in this video.

Relatively the same, it is around 50% more expensive, but has 3 characters instead of 2.
I will buy it, would have bought it anyway.

im not saying he is my god this is just him playing a game that was recorded to show as proof that this is a problem, he only won because he was OMEGA BLINK NURSE, with a mori and they had 1 person on their survivor team wasting time getting basement chest and dieing for it. imagine if he was a regular billy or some other killer without a mori, he only won because it was omega blink nurse with a mori. anything else and it would of been a 4man escape without anything he could of done to stop it
That is quite short-minded. There is no guarantee that the Gens would have been rushed that fast when it was not vs a Nurse with a Mori.
When you rush Gens, you are not playing DBD. You are not rewarded either, you are neither getting many BPs, nor you will pip (which are the two things that show if you have won or not).
I mean, two people ran Plunderers Instinct, a Perk which helps to slow the game done on its own, because people grab Chests (one of them could have found a good Toolbox btw., the other one most likely not, since he also had Pharmacy). Neither of them brought a Toolbox from the Start.
But you will rush Gens when you are playing vs a Mori Nurse. Everyone would do that. So I would not say that it is guaranteed that they would have been so fast on Gens vs any other Killer or a Killer without a Mori.
-
5 minute game for 4 Kills. Shows how broken Nurse is.
-
Plague is not weak at all. The problem is that she is not that fun to play like she should be, because part of her power gets cancelled by Survivors.
She also does not need Buffs (at least not to her Power or how it is working), but Sickness needs to have some meaning.
Personally, I would adjust Corrupt Purge, because it is a really, really strong ability and you can lose a game when one Survivor starts cleansing. And people dont stay injured for a reason, because it does not take much time to be back to full health (unlike Legion, where it took time and he was able to injure very fast anyway). It shows a lot when people stay injured vs a 115% MS Killer. Maybe a minimum amount of Corrupt Purge should need to hit to inflict damage.
But when adjusting Corrupt Purge, Sickness needs to be adjusted as well. Either Survivors who are sick will be put into the Dying State if they dont cleanse (even though, this would be similar to Deep Wound), or, they suffer a REALLY big Debuff. Maybe something like 50% Action Speed Debuff, where you might be able to finish the Gen you are working on, but you really want to cleanse yourself. But I doubt that this is gonna happen, Freddy had such a big Debuff and the Devs dont think it is fun (it is not, but there needs to be some reason to cleanse).

For some reason the s is the only springwood variation I ever seen to get nowadays. And all I'll say about the map is I like it, not how close pallets are together tho. But at least it's chain fence walls aren't too long. It's more the pallet hit boxes I don't like because whe. I'm no where near the pallet I seem to always get stunned when playing smaller killers
Most of the Pallets are unsafe tho. If you waste your time breaking every Pallet, the Survivor can buy a lot of time, but you dont need to break them, you can outplay Survivors at those Pallets.
I get every Springwood variation, but I dont like them visually. They look quite chaotic and not like there was put that much effort in creating them, just if somebody moved around the Tiles a little bit. But well, maybe when I get used to them.
-
Yeah, Ghostface is simply Bullshit. His detection is so wonky, on both sides. It is exactly like you described - sometimes you look at him all the time and cannot break him out. And sometimes I randomly look in one direction and snapped him out, without actually seeing him.
But I feel that this is a mechanic that was introduced without actually fully testing it. At least it looks unfinished.

The problem is that the game is not balanced around that amount of information.
Yes, obviously you can lessen the gap between solos and swf that way, but it'll boost balance in favor of survivors a lot. "Current status hud", ping-tools, default VC ingame, lots of possible (good) solutions. Even a killermain like myself can see that.
Another huge factor would be the devs habit of only doing one thing at a time:
Imagine having to play unadjusted killer for X months with all survivors you meet having the power/info potential of a blendette depip squad. (Start at X=1 and increase it, let's see your "thats unbalanced bullshit" tolerance)
Third problem would be how to buff the killers, you see the threads in the forum, not even the killermains are united in how to approach this. "Killer mechanics" , each killers "ability and addons" , would the devs dare to tweak perks or survivor stats. This step is a clusterfuck in the community, imagine it happening for the devs.
"Even a killermain like myself" reads only half of what I have written. I wrote once the gap is closed (information given are the same), it can be balanced around that.
At the moment you cannot get a 100% balanced game. I mean, it will not ever be possible to be 100% balanced, maybe if Nurse gets removed, because you cannot balance any abilities to the Nurse Ability. Like, Trapper will never be as effective as Nurse, so 100% Balance is not achievable.
But the only thing that helps currently with balance is changing Survivors. But you cannot simply buff Killers to SWF-Level, because Solos would be screwed. You cannot balance on Solo-Level either, because than SWF would be way to powerful.
So IF the gap is closed, THEN all Killers can be buffed to SWF-Level. But I doubt that this will happen.

Survivors have Adrenalin without ingame counter for killers.
Killer only have the counter perk NOED.
And Adrenalin is a meta perk.
So some killer use NOED as counter.
Ingame counter to Adrenaline: Prevent all gens being done.
Why do people forget about this? Its the same as "Cleanse all Totems".

There are two things you can do when you will end up with 1 Kill and Gates are powered:
Letting the last guy go, because you will lose anyway, so it does not matter.
Camp the last guy to ensure your Kill and hope for mistakes.
You did the second thing and got 3 Kills. So you did everything right there, there is nothing else a Killer can do than camping when Gates are powered and he wants to secure a Kill.
It is also not "taking the game hostage". "Taking the game hostage" means that you are doing something which force another player to DC to move on to the next game. e.g. blocking one Survivor in a Corner as Killer without moving. Or before the EGC, to block the Basement Stairs so that nobody can escape the Basement. Or, when playing Survivor, before EGC, crouching around the Map instead of leaving through the Exit Gates so that the Killer cannot find you to push you out.
Those are things to keep the game hostage. If you are not doing something that forces a player to DC from your game to finish it, you are not taking the game hostage (letting people killed by End Game Collapse is also not taking the game hostage, because they will die in quite a short amount of time). So if someone is claiming you are doing it, but you did nothing of what I have stated, you should be fine.

Please, don't give up on killer's names.
You have done it with Ghost Face, instead of using something interesting like "The ghost" or "The stalker" you just went to "The Ghost Face".
Don't let this happen with the demogorgon, use another name like "The monster", "The creature", etc.
Please.
It was "The Ghost" at first, but it got changed. At least in Germany we would have had the same name (Wraith is called "Der Geist" which translates from "Ghost". Spirit is called "Das Gespenst" which basically also means "Ghost"). Maybe this was something that could happen in other languages too.
But LIcense Holders as the reason is not unlikely at all. Maybe BHVR came up with "The Ghost" at start, but the License Holders did not want that. The name for Demogorgon will be something which is also approved by the LIcense Holders of Stranger Things.

No need if you play against wwf or with somone you know this alredy.Devs got great idea with this entity arms when i chase obsesion so every one got free info.And now you want give survs even more free info!? No!
It seems like you dont understand how Balance works.
SWF gets way more info than Solo Survivors. IF the amount of information is the same, it can be balanced around this. Currently, there is no real Balance possible, because you cannot balance the strong and the weak Killers all together, same goes for SWF and Solos. Lets say you buff all Killers to work vs 4 man SWFs (not gonna happen, but just imagine). Solos would be screwed. But if Solos have 100% the same information which 4 man SWFs get, you can actually do this.
The idea given by OP is not new, but it is actually really useful. Instead of guessing if someone is going for a Save, you can see the Icons - 1 Survivor being chased, two on the Gen. Ok, so you might want to leave your Gen to go for the Safe.

No, it doesn't work both ways. Nurse is not almighty. Play stealthy, rush gens, bring the infamous 2nd-chance-perks and insta-heals, don't make bad tactical decisions, then even a Nurse won't get 3 kills, no matter what she does.
Nurse is a whole other world than all the other killers, no question, but survivors are still the stronger role.
Incorrect.
If the Nurse is good, there is nothing the Survivors can do. I feel that some of the good Nurses just play nicely, because once the Nurse starts slugging, its gg. Nurse removes the Defenses a Survivor has (Windows and Pallets). Breaking LoS is of course also a Defense, but a good Nurse will not just blink randomly, but will start blinking once she has LoS on the Survivor again.
The only Killer which removed Survivor Defenses was old Legion, but he did not have Map Pressure at all, making him a Killer who can down a Survivor 99%, while losing the game because he cannot pressure the Gens. But a Nurse can do that without any big problems.
So yeah, you cannot win vs a good Nurse. Maybe a highly coordinated SWF Team can win, but this should not be the standard at which Killers are measured, because highly coordinated 4 man SWFs are not the majority.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
This game would be balanced if a killer could always win if he is more skilled than the survivors. But that isn't the case currently. If the survivors play at a certain skill level, the killer can't win, no matter how much higher his skill level is.
If the Killer is at a certain Skill Level, the Survivors cant win, no matter how much higher their Skill Level is (cough Nurse cough ). Not saying that Nurse does not need Skill, but if someone is good with Nurse, he basically cannot lose, especially when using Add-Ons.
-
Two Occasions where I cleanse:
After Gens are done, as far away from the Gates as possible
When there is onle 1 Pool left so that she does get Corruption automatically but cannot use her Pools anymore
Other than that, I prefer to stay injured. I mean, sure, you are Onehit the whole game, but I feel the Damage is bigger when she gets corruption. I think a Plague with Corruption can down a healthy Survivor faster than a Plague without Corruption vs an Injured Survivor.
-
Just slug the Survivor. Same amount of Map Pressure at this point.

@MimiDallas said:

Pig is far away from being the worst Killer in the game.
-
Sad thing is, Cap is only 1 Million. So you cannot even get enough BPs to level all 3 characters to decent Levels where you actually can profit from the BP Change.
Regarding the Perks:
I think the minority expected MoM 2.0, it was also not necessary to bring it to sell the DLC. But really, some Perks for Survivors in the Meta would be great. Those are the Meta Perks and the Characters you get them from:
Dwight-->Bond
Meg-->Sprint Burst, Adrenaline
Claudette-->Self Care
Jake-->Iron Will
Nea-->Balanced Landing
Bill-->Borrowed Time, Unbreakable
David-->Dead Hard
Laurie-->Deceisive Strike
With the exception of Laurie, all Characters and Perks are included in the Basegame. Of course there are other Perks which are fun or decent and also available in DLCs, but it is kinda sad that the Metaperks are obtainable by just buying the game and the Halloween-DLC.

I think it would
Dont know how people would think about this then. Because one part of Spirit is that it is unknown when she is phasing or not. Basically, sometimes you get hits when you just let off your Keyboard, because the Survivor will come to you. This is some form of Mindgame for the Spirit, but just a guessing game for the Survivor and I highly dislike that, because chances of winning this guessing game are not high.
But overall, hearing Phasing every time does not sound bad. It would also buy some time, because Survivors will go off Gens during the Phasing Sound.

@Ireath said:
They're honestly not that bad. I don't understand why people complain about them.
The problem here is, it is one of the Add-Ons which only has positives when it comes to Skill. Some Add-Ons change the way of playing, at least a little bit. But a Huntress with Iridescent Heads has to do the same as before. So if someone is good with Huntress, he is just stronger, without any real negatives. I mean, if you are good enough to almost always hit your first Hatchet, it does not really affect you that you have less Hatchets than usual. Also the Combo with Infantry Belt is not really cool. I rather take 3 Insta-Downs instead of 5 (or 7) normal Hatchets.
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
What about removing that insta-down, remove all downsides and give it Broken Status Effect for 60 seconds.
Broken Status is kinda meh. This is the same on Legion. If you hit someone with your Hatchet and the Survivor becomes broken and you down him, from the 60 seconds there is not that much of Broken Status left when he gets unhooked. You lose some seconds when walking to the Hook, the Status goes down while on the Hook and so it is effective less time Broken than before.
@Topic:
I would remove the Synergy with Infantry Belt and then maybe increase the Number of Hatchets to two. It should not be Garbage, it is a pink Add-On after all, but for me it is the most unfair pink Add-On currently in the game.
-
PGTW>Corrupt Intervention>Ruin for me.
I dont run Ruin, if I can avoid it (aka I have PGTW), but on Killers like Hag or Trapper, Corrupt can help a lot.
I refuse to use Ruin, because I dont want to care for the Totem. I have enough to do to patrol Gens and chase Survivors, I dont want to stress myself out by also looking for a Totem (especially if one Survivor already found it).
-
Would this include Phasing Sound while in the Terror Radius?
-
OP complains about not knowing if he faces SWF or not, so he fears he will have unfun games.
Talks about using Stuff to make the game unfun for the Survivors.
Nice doublestandards.
-
Happened to me and was done by myself.
Happened to me when I played Jeff with the Metal-Skin. I can understand the Survivor.
Done by myself either when a Skill Check came when healing and healing finished at this moment-->Space dropped the Pallet.
And well... vs Freddy "This one is fake"...
Nothing happened so far.
-
Yeah, let me not only face a Lagswitcher and DC vs him, let me also lose one of my Perks so that I need to go 3 Level 50 Bloodwebs to get it back. Good idea.
(Happened a few days ago, Killer was clearly lagswitching so I dced from this game. Getting punished then would be really, really "great")
-
Unlikely.
Auric Cells = Money. Money = good for a company/the game.
-
Deep Wound is not injured. e.g. MoM also does not work while in Deep Wound State.
Source: A cocky Aven who wanted to get hit by a Legion at the Exit Gates and ends up dying (but I deserved it).
So those Perks either not work with Deep Wound or will come into effect after mending is completed.

Is this gap not intended? Playing killer is way more stressfull than playing survivor.
Play Killer during Double BP-Events and you will see why it is necessary to increase the Survivor BPs.
I gave up on grinding Killers during Double BP-Events, I manage to get two games in one hour, with waiting times of 20-30 minutes. But if Survivors get the same amount of BP as Killers, it should be better. As Killer you can achieve 32k BP, as Survivor, most likely 29k. I managed to have 8k in Survival exactly once in 2100hrs of playing.
And last but not least, BBQ is way better to get BPs than WGLF.
So yeah, the gap should be closed.

It's not about pipping but about killing and surviving in that scenario. No one cares about pipping nowadays, but especially not those killers. Hell, they would be even more happy to depip for more ez games in low ranks.
What I mean is:
You will not face those Killers all the time. If you are going to say that you have those Killers in every Match, you are not telling the truth. You will have a lot of normal games where you can Rank up. The more you rank up, the lower is the possibility to face those Killers, because they wont rank up because of their playstyle (one-hooking people and camping, which also results in poor Gatekeeper).
-
They wont win. At least not, when you not all die near the hook when he is camping. Those Killers will most likely not pip and maybe even depip. When yourself pip, you will get into Ranks where this is not common.
Of course there are Killers like this in Red Ranks, but most of the Killers playing like this are in yellow or Green Ranks.
NOED sucks with your examples, because the counter to camping Killers is doing Gens, and then you get punished by NOED. But I feel that is nothing that can be changed.
-
No. You want to buff a Perk just to counter a mediocre Perk. Not really necessary tbh.
-
@HunterTheAgud said:
What is HoTs?
Healing over Time
-
The Perk would be helpful if it would depend on the Killer next to you. It would not be good, but when it requires a camping Killer to prog, it would be 14 extra seconds for the other 3 Survivors to do Gens.
But other than that, it only helps when you are going to be one- or two-hooked, but that should not happen in the first place.
-
@Haraak said:
Its sad because healing is one of the main tools to slow the game down, but then they have to leave other perks I guess....
To get healed in a Locker you need to spend 14 seconds on a Totem first. And need to find a locker.
It is not that time efficient.
-
Still would be happy for an option to turn him off. LIke, it is funny at the start (for me it was annoying from the beginning), but I guess that even people who like Bruce Campbell can get annoyed of Ash talking.
Nothing wrong with making an option to hear Ash talking or not.
-
Why should it? It says walking.
So with Urban Evasion and fixated, you are slower while crouching than walking.
-
Killer playing with only Franklins Demise. Hits a Survivor to let him drop his item and DCed immediatly after that.
-
Those Perks are not near A+ or S-Tier. Like always, new Survivor Perks are not good enough to be used. The Meta Perks are those Perks which are in the game from the Beginning and first few DLCs. To get the Metaperks, you just need to buy the Basegame and the Halloween-DLC and you are good.
Just to break down:
Babysitter-->This Perk does not have any real use. If the Killer is far away, it will not change anything. Yeah, you get some form of Aura Read, but if you want to know where the Killer is from time to time you can use Alert. It does not really promote an Anti-Tunnel tool, when the Killer wants to tunnel, he will not stop when he sees your Aura. When the Killer is near, BT is way better.
Camaraderie-->The point that a Survivor needs to be near you to trigger this Perk makes it useless. If it would work that if the Killer is near you (I dont know, 16m as well), it would be ok, because it would counter camping a little bit. But if the Killer is camping and someone is near you, it is an extra 14 seconds which will most likely not help to get off the Hook. It could help with being two- or one-hooked, but this should not happen in the first place.
Second Wind-->This Perk helps with being efficient, but I dont think he is good designed. I feel when someone unhooks the Survivor, he should also be able to heal that person. It is ok, but I dont think that it will be good enough to be Meta.
Better Together-->Not even close to Bond. That is also one thing, they release some Aura Read Perks for Survivors, but Bond is always better. But still not bad, but nowhere near A+ or S.
Fixated-->Walking faster is nice, but thats it. For the Scratchmarks, I see it only used by newer players to actually understand how Scratchmarks work. It can help with Stealth Gameplay, but Stealth does not seem to be the way the game is developing into (Legion, Plague and even Ghostface are good examples for that). It is also nice to test some things like how LIghtweight or Dance with Me work with Stratchmarks, but thats it. The people who are able to loop Killers for long time will not need this Perk at all, because they already know how this is working.
Inner Strength-->That is the best Survivor Perk out of those 6. It encourages to do Totems, BUT this also helps the Killer. A Survivor spending 14 seconds to cleanse a Totem will not be on a Gen for 14 seconds. That healing is faster might be true, but considering the Survivor has to find a Locker first and has to wait there 8 seconds, should negate the Time Bonus here a little bit. I think it can be dirty with DS, but thats all.
So yeah, not really strong Perks. At least I dont see any of those Perks to work in my Lineup. If I would like to use something like Inner Strength, I would go for Adrenaline tbh, which I am not using currently.
-
Have to disagree on two points:
New Killer-->You might not see the new Killer(s) that much at High Ranks, but at lower Ranks, it is no problem to spot them. Also during Rank Reset. But it is fun for people who play Killer, testing out new stuff and more variety. So new Killers will not get boring, as long as they have unique mechanics that are enjoyable.
Perks--> What you are writing goes for Survivor Perks. There are no Survivor Perks from the last 5-6 DLCs or so which are actually good enough to be called Metaperks. But for Killers, some Perks are in use:
Clown-->PGTW (post Buff, but even before it was used on Billy or Nurse), Bamboozle
Spirit-->Spirit Fury is Meta, Haunted Ground is also used from time to time
Legion-->Discordance used
Plague-->Corrupt Intervention, Infectious Fright (on Nurse)
Ghostface-->Thrilling Tremors
So at least for the Killer Side there is at least one Perk which can be considered on some Killers.
But for Survivors, yeah, it is a little bit pointless to buy the DLCs. No Perks are really good and they are Skins, after all. And even if the Grind will be reduced, getting all Perks will still take a huge amount of Time, so people switching their main to a new Survivor will be quite rare.
