How many Threads do you want to start with the same topic? You even did answers from Devs in previous Threads:

What the downside when a survivor is an obsession without the killer use any of their perk (DS, MOM, OoO...). If they lose nothing then get rip of this and just tell the killer this person have this x perk as you do with every hex perk in the game.Right now the survivors don't lose anything to be the obsession but instead, they gain more.
The new DS not only protect the obsession from the debuff but they get a buff too. Almost every obsession perk forcing the killer to leave the obsession alone and you can lose (as killer) the perk/s if the survivor DC or die to fast.
@DarkGGhost said:
The obsession perks have no downside.
DS if you have it active you can't crawl at all.
MoM you keep the way it's right now but only the obsession can use it.
OoO if you are the obsession you can see the killer with dilute 2,5 sec if not you see the killer with dilute 4 sec, the killer can see you the moment you look at him.
Sole Survivor why you have it as an obsession perk just make it a normal perk.

The reason i post this and i want the answer from the devs is because soon will we have two perks that change the obsession ( DS and Furtive Chase). Right now the survivors don't lose anything to be the obsession but instead, they gain more. The furtive chase can't work with any other obsession perk because either you have to hit the non-obsession survivors or you have to let the obsession leave ( remember me lose all the stack one you change obsession so it's useless).
Ps, I will post this again at let we get an answer from the devs.

Every Obsession perk the survivor has have no downside, no slower gen repair, no slower heal or broken effect, they just give you an effect that you can abuse.
Mettle Of Man: It can give you a second chance after you get hit 3 times for M1. The thing is it's not limited to one use, you can fully heal yourself and you don't need to get a hook or anything like that.
Decisive Strike: After you unhooked or unhooking (one limit thank god) you can use escape the Killer's grasp and stun the Killer for 5 sec if hit one skill check. The problem is the stun is on the animation and the killer can't do anything about that. Now if you say just use Enduring or don't tunneling they tell me why the killer has to pick a perk just to reduces the effect to DS and why the killer need to do not play optimal?
Sole survivor: Ok i will say this is bad is you run a spesifik build so i will leave it As more of your friends fall to the Killer, you become shrouded in isolation and the Killer's Aura-reading abilities towards you are disrupted.Your Aura cannot be read by the Killer within a maximum range of 20/22/24 metres for each killed or sacrificed Survivor.
Object Of Obsession: You can see the killer aura and vice versa but same time killer doesn't know if you have it because he/she will not look to your direction and even if you have a problem just go in the lockers and you fine for the time been.
At which point is it considered Spam to ask the same question again, over and over?
-
It does not happen every time. Stop spreading lies.
-
You can use Add-Ons and Offerings. Even tho, I would not recommend to use Moris, because this might deny the points for the Merciless.
-
As mentioned, it would not change anything. Killer would just wait. And even if you have DS, the Killer can just wait a full minute until he picks you up again. So as long as you dont jump into the Hatch immediatly, nothing will change - but the Hatch can be closed, so it would not be there as an option.
In the end, it would just be a waste of time to wait. The only thing that should be changed tbh: Struggle Points should be awarded.

Umm, did you thoroughly read my comment?!
I feel exactly the same.
Clown is not given enough utility to end chases fast like he is intended to in order to adequately compensate for the lack of map pressure.
But he doesn’t end chases any faster than any other killer, so he suffers. The devs failed badly when it comes to Clown.
Clown is meant to be fun.
He’s not fun.
He’s just plain hard work with little chance of success. Just plain, hard, frustrating work.
"Clown is not given enough utility to end chases fast like he is intended to in order to adequately compensate for the lack of map pressure."
This is basically THE sentence about Clown. He is good in chases, but not good enough to play him without Chase Perks. Ideally, Clown would have enough utility for Chases so that he can only run Tracking and Slowdown-Perks, basically like Spirit does.
-
The thing is, tru3 complains a lot lately. Maybe its because it is not that easy to Rank up anymore or because he is doing Perk Builds, which results in not that optimal Builds like he is used to.
But, he picks extrema. There are tons of games where he plays Killer which last way longer. But if he has like 5 games where everything is fine and then there is one game where the Gens are going fast, people jump on exactly this video (or, he simply does not upload the other Vids, which is fine, because they might not even be interesting when nothing special happens).
Here is another example of extrema:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NtqPXcfVNEHe talks about no mindgame, but in this video, this is a Loop which is completely fine. It is not that long and an experienced Killer player would probably just forced the Pallet Drop and then either kicked the Pallet when the Survivor stayed there or run after the Survivor. But he is not playing against a experienced Killer, this is a Rank 13 Killer, someone who barely knows anything about the game and is also running the Demogorgon without any Perks basically. This is what I mean with extrema - you can upload something like this and call it a Problem, when in fact it is not a problem with Design here, it is a problem with the player he is playing against.
Same goes for Gens - it is not the Gens, it is the Map and the Killer, and well, also his mistakes. The first Gens being done fast does not really matter, Survivors are at their strongest. But the more the game proceeds, the more it swings into the Killers favor. In the recent video, instead of caring for Gens, he still commits chases.
I mean, if people want to have this game balanced for players who dont play DBD and sit on Gens all the time - sure. But then it should be balanced around Nurse with Omegablink as well, but this would be a nono.

The solution is to have survivors score more or less 25 k on a successful escape, the amount of BP for each trial is ridiculous.
And playing killer isn't a solution since its damn stressful to do so, we need more BP or a real reduction of the grind, such as removal of perks tiers
Re: Bloodpoints on successful escape:
I bet nearly every Survivor ends up with at least one Category maxed when he escaped. So this would help to boost BPs for Survivors. I mean, just do two Dull Totems and you have 1/4 of Boldness. 1 gen with another person is almost half of Objectives. Meanwhile you get 100 Survival Points for mending yourself. Wuhuu!
Re: Perk Tiers:
I would love to level up Perks by playing them. Even more when there would be an Endurance-way and a Skill-full way. e.g. BBQ: Endurance Way: Hook 100 Survivors. Skillful way: Hook two survivors in between 1 minute 10 times. This would actually be more fun than clicking the Bloodweb over and over again just to get the choice between Monstrous Shrine Tier 2 or Knockout TIer 3.

I wouldnt know about that one. I avoid getting in chases whenever possible, and instead will just be a ninja when working on gens or getting saves. Was that a Claudette just now? Youll never know....
Well, can be the same for Objective. Just work on 2 Gens with another Survivor and you will have Objectives almost maxed. Now, what does the game want you to do when you have 8k Objective Points? Nothing, because you have reached the maximum which can be acquired by one Survivor?
The bizarre thing is, they even buffed Boldness-Gain by buffing the Totems, and still, for Survival you need to have to do so much. I only managed to get 8k Survival Points twice. And this was vs Freddy: Waking up several times, opening Exit Gate during EGC, DS (resulting in 1k Survival Points) and Surviving. And I played 2300hrs. But I dont want to count how often I maxed out the other Categories already.
One time the Killer was afk, so two Survivors where farming Points by running in front of him, afterwards they said they got the max Bloodpoints...Which is 29k for Survivor.
So yeah, removing the Category Cap would be great. I mean, let this guy get 20k Objective Points, when he does not want to get chased.

"Oh, I thought you wanted to hit that car"
@topic:
It is kinda cheap to use the same video all the time. Maybe there should be more threads about matches which were longer. You will even find them on tru3s channel, there are Killer Matches which last 16 minutes.
-
By Default - no. As an Add-On - yes. Should be a brown Add-On, can easily replace Beerus Toxin (we dont need Add-Ons which can negate powerful Perks for just 3k BPs...)
btw. Nurses Training Add-On should also be much lower in rarity.
-
If I bring Items, either a Medkit or a Flashlight.
I would love to bring broken Keys, but they are not lasting very long.
-
Survivor:
DS, didnt think that I will have to use it that frequently, but after one evening where I used BP Offerings from two characters without DS, I got tunneled every time with them. Killer knew after the first Hook that I dont have DS, so I got tunneled after the second Hook. Since then, I only play Survivors with DS.
Kiiler:
Probably Whispers. Whenever I play a Killer where I dont have Tier 3 Whispers (and not using Whispers then when I dont have it on Tier 3), I get a little bit lost.

Def agree that something needs to be done. Red ranks are really stressful due to how unbelievably fast gens pop, but a general nerf to gen speed would destroy the lower ranks.
IMO change ruin (I've made a few threads on this) or add some kind of speed penalty to gens that depends on what rank you're currently at.
Can the Hook Stages be longer too?
Why should you be punished for playing good? Also there dont need to be any motivations for deranking.

If you are losing items then in most cases it is because you're the one experiencing connection drops. Now, the game may say otherwise, but it is more accurate to look at other things happening. Killers dcing don't drop your items or zero out your bp anymore. The only chance of that happening was in the past if a game started, but suddenly dc'ed everyone or crashed them back to main menu. That is one bug that has been fixed so if you're losing things then you've probably desync'd very hard and the game booted you, but doesn't have a prompt to tell you that.
It still does.
You might even lose a Pip when you did not enough to blackpip at the point where the Killer DCed.
-
The Licensed Holder gives permission to Skins. Like the Chained Skin, this is allowed. But BHVR cannot create their own Skins for Demogorgon as they wish, it all needs to be approved by the Licensed Holders.
If BHVR wants to make a purple Demo-Skin with orange Stars, they are only allowed to do so when they get the "OK" from the guys who own the rights.
-
Sadly, the Killers do not get different cosmetics when you buy the DLC via Real Life Money. But the Survivor Outfits are also...meh.
I think it would be ok to give the very Cheap Outfits in the DLCs. Those things which are basically only Color Variations, would not be too crazy. Of course this will probably not be possible for Licensed DLCs, but just in general...

Bond is always better. It helps with being efficient. Basically, they can stop bringing Aura Read Perks, because Bond will always be better. Except they release something like Bond but with bigger Range.
-
I think Rancor is a far better designed End Game Perk than NOED. It helps to get a Kill, but does not completely reward bad gameplay and only affects one person.
But I also think that Rancor lost its purpose. Before it was quite nice to get the guy who had DS. Like - this is the Obsession, he has DS, he will die later without using it. But with the current Obsession mechanic it feels kinda meh.
-
Tracking Perks are stronger and more important. Everything starts with Tracking. You cannot go on Chases when you dont find anyone. You cannot apply any pressure when you dont find anyone. So Stuff like Whispers and once you got someone BBQ or Nurses are really helpful.
Chase Perks are nice, but are useless when you are not in a Chase.
Slowdown is nice, but when you cannot apply pressure, there is not really a point in Running Slow Down Perks. It will take a little bit longer, but you will lose without Tracking.
-
Unpopular opinion:
The Speed of the first Gen(s) does not matter that much. At this point Survivors are at the strongest. The more time passes, the weaker will Survivors become because they need to be more careful once they are on their last hook, they need to heal and/or save Teammates and the Ressources (aka Pallets) are lower.
Furthermore, this is with a new Killer, so it can be assumed that tru3 is not playing him in an optimal way.
And well, in the end it was a 3K...Not too bad tbh. Even with the fast 3 Gens. (Have not watched the video, just the Results at the end)
-
1100 consistent Ping. Sadly the Killer did close the Lobby, I was looking forward to play that.
Playing: 500 consistent Ping, but that was not too bad. Better consistent high Ping than spiking Ping.

@Taiga said:
The map should just always be the realm of the killer unless an offering is being used
This would be insane for some Killers, in a good and bad way. LIke Billy would probably be happy to get to Coldwind-Maps all the time. Nurse would also not be bad on her Map or Realm, but its kinda meh to remove the Possibility to have a Map vs Nurse, which is not good for her.
And Huntress would suffer a lot, she has the worst Map Control and will end up on really huge Maps.
-
The Dash is really nice. It is comparable to BIlly, but easier to use. While it has good results, it still has counterplay form the Survivor Side (they can dodge it). But the Killer can also fake it.
Portals are quite cool, even tho they are more for Travel. Thing that might need looked into is Portals in Endgame. Had one game where with 3 (but most of the time 2, because one Survivor died short afterwards) Survivors, it was not possible to do 3 Gens which were quite far away from each other, because the Auras would have been revealed next to the Portal so that the Killer can travel there and interrupt the Gen Repair.
I mean, when a Team really 3 Genned themselves, it is absolutely fine, the Survivors ######### up. But if all Gens are far away from each other, it should not be possible to patrol them in such a way.
-
I dont know it, but I borrowed my Crystal Ball to a friend of mine. So I am handicapped on this.
-
Hell, no.
Not more reasons to Lobbydodge - want to play as Billy, get: Haddonfield, Lerys, The Game, the new Map.
Also not really cool that Killers would basically always be able to pick their best Maps. Thats not how this Game should work. Like, there is Rotten Fields in the Rotation? I will pick Billy. Lerys? Lets go for Hag.
I mean, let the Survivors do the same. But hell no, this is a Killer-sided Forum, we only cater to Killer players.
Just let it be random Maps. I also dont want to play on fking Rotten Fields or Lerys, but have to. Same with Map Offerings, they are fine. It is not the case that a Coldwind or Haddonfield Offering is burned every game from Survivors, I see them very, very rarely used.
-
Yeah, had this during one game.
Myself and my friend still alive, 1 Gen needed, the last remaining 3 Gens were not even close to each other. When this started we even were 3 Survivors instead of only 2, but we did not manage to do a Gen without him coming out of a Portal to interrupt it.
He had an Add On that lets him Travel faster, but still, it was not possible to do any Gen at this point. Sure, Killer should be the Powerrole, but it should not be impossible to escape as a Survivor after a certain point.

All of this Perks are decent. Enduring/Spirity Fury is quite good to catch Survivors, but it is kinda lame and can force someone to focus one person and ignore the rest of the team. Furthermore it just lets you press "W" instead of actually trying to outplay and mindgame people.
And tbh, it is not needed once all Maps have gotten the "Badham-Treatment"; because those Pallets are almost all playable without breaking them as Killer, so you dont really need to break them instantly with Spirit Fury.
Bamboozle is also one Perk that removes the ability to mindgame. It is great for those Bullshit-Loops, but other than that, it is (same with Spirit Fury) pretty straight forward and does not really require that much thinking. And might not even help, lets say you are at a T/L-Wall, instead of let the Survivor use it and get a Hit by a mindgame, you force him to go away by blocking one window, so he might end up in a even stronger Loop.
Brutal Strength is decent, it can help you breaking Pallets which you need to break.
Personally, I would go for Enduring. Simply eating the Palletstun without any problem is still good, and if it is an unsafe Pallet, it results in a hit pretty fast.

Meta perks are just perks made to win matches and not have much fun
Running stupid and unneeded builds are fun
Every run Mettle, No Mither, Self care, and the healing perk for Jane?
I dont think that it is fun to stay on the hook even longer while getting camped.
@NoShinyPony said:
@Aven_Fallen But camping makes sense when survivors are hook rushing or when the gens are all done.
However, you are right when you say that DS, BT, Adrenaline are still the better perks to run for a survivor.
Well, it is also kinda good when they stay on the Hook longer then. They are off Gens and there is more time for them to make mistakes. And well, when all Gens are done, they "only" waste "realtime", but not "gametime".
I simply does not see the Perks being used that much, except for Inner Strength, which has potential. The rest is not really good (but that goes for the Killer Perks as well).
-
This might make it a 2/10 instead of a 1/10.
I mean... Does anybody see that this Perk can replace Adrenaline? Or DS? Or any Exhaustion Perk? Any Perk of the current Meta? No? Then it cannot be problematic.
I mean, it only really has an effect if the Killer is camping. Because there is no point to keep a Survivor on the Hook for an extra half minute, when the Killer is not nearby.
So Killers who dont camp will not be affected by this Perk. And Killers who camp will get punished. Sounds fair.

Anyone know what the new Hatch closing animation looks like or if the Left for Dead achievement/trophy will be changed?
The only problem that I see with the new Left Behind is Survivors taking it and abandoning the team because they'll know where the Hatch is. Fun thing is:
With 1 Million BPs you will not even benefit from the new Bloodweb, because you will not get to the Level where you will be able to get 2 Perks from the Web.
An increase of the Cap would be really good, like 2 or even 3 Million should still be enough of a cap.
-
As Killer I always never run into DS. I run into it, when I am in a very comfortable spot and 100% can take the DS.
As Survivor, I am at the point where I dont play without DS. Usually before I prestige a Character, I use the bigger Bloodpoint Offerings. But with two characters, I simply did not care recently, because I had no DS. So I got tunneled and was not able to use DS, because I did not have it. So what happened? I got tunneled again after the next Unhook, because the Killer knew I dont have DS.
So yeah, I feel its necessary, sadly.
Also, funny thing: When DS expires, the Killer will not notice that he did not have any problems with DS, because it did not get triggered. But yeah, usually EVERY Survivor is running it and EVERYTIME it will activate, because apparently Survivors have more than 4 Perks and DS has infinite time./s
-
You seem to be some kind of a masochist to enjoy Leatherface, Trapper and Wraith that much :P
-
Disagree.
Sabotage is one of the Things were I think it is ok to be weak. It has its strategic uses, but it should not be so strong, because putting people on the Hook is a Core Design of the game and there should not be a super-reliable way to deny it.
And saboing two hooks near a Gen you are working on can indeed create a pretty safe Area, especially, if you can build up the next safe area on the next gen. And when I think about how fast you can sabotage a Hook...Nah.
Just imagine the School in Badham. It got better with the Rework, but it can still take some time to catch a Survivor there. And then the basement is not located in the School and the Hooks near the School are gone. This Gen is 100% free, the Killer cannot patrol it anymore, because it will be impossible to hook people there.
And last but not least, we dont need a Slugging-Meta. I rather die quickly by getting tunneled than having to wait for 4 minutes to bleed out.
-
What works quite good:
Yellow Med Kit + Dressing + 16 extra Charges. Results in 34 charges in total, which is enough for two quite quick Heals without the need of hitting Great Skill Checks to keep it.
I bet there are far more effective combinations, but I cant be asked to test them and this works for me and is simple.
-
@NoShinyPony said:

You are talking about this as if the survivors can't do anything against a slugging Nurse. Yet they absolutely can. If any killer - including Nurse - manages to slug a team of 4 survivors, then these survivors played bad and it's their own fault. Again, slugging a full team means that the survivors are too close to each other, get found too fast and go down too fast.
(Also when we are talking about perks, don't forget DH, which usually requires the Nurse to make at least 2 additional blinks. Also Adrenaline helps against slugging.)
Again: There are a lot of Nurses (and also good Nurses) on PC.
Dead Hard? Yeah, that is two blinks. Its additional...10 seconds? If we assume Dead Hard is not bugged for once (which it currently is).
Adrenaline? Yeah, I will repair this Gen while on the ground.
seems like you underestimate what 32 meters are. This is not a short range at all. Furthermore, if one Survivor is slugged, another one needs to pick him up. So two are next to each other. Eventually the whole team will be next to each other, or they simple let the people bleed out. But even if that happened, Nurse with her insane mobility would be able to find the non-slugged Survivors.
-

I play far enough from my screen so I cant see this information.
Fair enough.
But still, if you slug the person who just got unhooked, you still tunneled. You can negate DS by keeping them slugged. But negating it by hooking or downing the other Person would be "meh", because, well...You still tunneled.
And even if the other Survivor(s) picked up the slugged guy, it was a lot of Map Pressure at this point. At least one Survivor was not on Gens, possibly even two. This can be huge.
-
You cant remember 1 name out of 4?
I think you have bigger problems than getting hit by DS..
