Probably Nancy, since she has at least one decent Perk. Will go for Steve afterwards to get his Teachables, Demogorgon will be much later.
Not really that hyped for the Chapter, I dont think that Demogorgon fits in DBD, and I never watched Stranger Things.

The nurse still follows the exact same "rules" as every other killer: you rush the gens, she loses. You don't rush the gens, she wins. The only difference between her and any other killer is that she has a power that just so happens to be diametrically opposed to the survivors' toxic and abusive stalling metagame that they haven't changed since fall 2016.
While it is quite amusing to see that someone is roleplaying Donald Trump in DBD, made up "rules" are not game mechanics.
-
Yeah, DS is affected by Unnerving Presence. Skill Check is much smaller.
-
Prayer Beads Rarity Upgrade (Switch with Fathers Glasses) and removal of Collision while Phasing would be enough IMO.
Its just annoying to do everything right to lose her and then get ######### because she randomly bumps into you. Would also make Gengrabs harder with Prayer Beads.
(even tho, she is fun to play, I have to admit this. But after playing a few rounds with Prayer Beads I feel like a even more horrible person than I already am)
-
Survivor Taunt = Bad.
Killer Taunt = Good.
Yeah, double standards.
-
Met two Speedhackers so far, one as Survivor, one as Killer.
When I played Survivor there was an Ace which was WAY too fast. I thought I had some strange lag, but when the Killer said we should report him, it was clear.
As Killer, I played Burger King Myers (that irony when you speedhack vs Burger King Myers..). She ran away and I thought "Oh, Sprint Burst". Shortly afterwards, I saw her again and she was still that fast (it was around Sprint Burst-Speed). Had do check by chasing another Survivor, maybe it just feels so fast because I am so slow, but nope, she was hacking.
Afterwards she was making fun of it, that it is not a big deal and just for trolling. Yeah, sure...

its not too uncommon that perople escape from me when i bring one, as i still 2 hook them.
and yet i get tons of hate / DCs for it...
its hilarious xD
Funny, eh?
I usually bring Moris in two cases (third one would be if I notice a player in my Lobby which I dont like, but this did not happen):
Daily
4 man SWF
When it comes to 4 man SWFs, I just look how they play. If they play normally, I will not use my Mori. If they act toxic, I will use it and not act nice at all. Like, when I see OoO, they will not have much fun this game.
Regarding Dailies, and this is where it is similar like you told "tons of hate": I 2-hook before I mori. Usually I have to use Ebonys anyway, because they are more common than Ivorys, but I mori only one person after two hooks. And then I get insulted for that... And when I say that I mori after the second Hook, because I have a Daily it is "Dont lie, you forgot that you have a Mori!!!"
@topic:
I dont care about Escapes, so if I get morid, it happens. I just dont like getting tunneled for the Mori so that the Killer can have an easy 3v1. When I escape, its ok, but most of the time, I dont escape when a Mori is used (game is balanced for downing each Survivor 3 times and not 2 times, so an escape is unlikely anyway).

Hmmm... thanks for telling me. You know players have been asking for this feature for years and the devs used to say it wasn't possible. (From a technical perspective, it should be possible without dedicated servers. But the devs gave the impression that it wasn't possible with how their server architecture was programmed.)
Then we will have to see. We'll know in 3 days at the latest. 🙂
I was also quite confused about that, I noticed it after a I regrouped with my SWF-Friend. Was like "Erm, why does this work?". Of course this does not mean that it is guaranteed to be implemented, maybe it worked for the PTB because Dedicated Servers still were included, but were not activated for the Games.
But yeah, we will know in 3 days. Would be really great if this feature finds its way into the game (finally).

Which is bad form, if they can't own up to it. Frankly it's better not to make such bold promises if you can't back them up. People are going to hold it against them later. Nobody here is going to forget that mathieu said those words.
It is not a "bold promise". A promise would be "We bring Jason". That people think that this quote means that they will be able to bring Jason to DBD, does not matter at all. Like, I could also think that they will get Ronald McDonald as Killer (like, he is way cooler than Pennywise).
So should I then mock them about not bringing Ronald McDonald? Because they said everything is possible.

No ######### Sherlock but unless the the other 3 survivors decided to hide in a bush before being found a killer, they most likely opened a gate
Or they are dead. Or ran out because the Killer had NOED and they dont want to deal with that.
I think, if you really have Deliverance ready and want it to be used, get the Killer to chase you when you have not been hooked so that he does not hook the guy that was already hooked twice. Like, Teamplay.
-
This is correct, DBD can never be 100% balanced. You cannot balance Killers like Nurse and Spirit compared to Trapper and Wraith. You cannot fully balance SWFs vs Solos.
But you can try to get as close as possible, and while DBD is not balanced, it is not in a bad state currently.

U forgot one quote: "next chapters could be anything, there is absolutly nothing off the table, right now... there is nothing to be for us" - Mathieu Cote
and yea, Money do almost everything, which means they CAN get the license, its gonna be hard af and expensive, but once again, there is nothing off the table.
You know, this quote can be 100% marketing and nothing else.
If I would make a video about my game, of course I would talk like everything is possible. It is not good advertisment if I would say "Many things are possible, some are not possible".
-
Well, 37 is not really a high number. If you have like 1000, it would be more representative. Like, Wraith might be surprising, but it can only be a coincidence.
Yesterday I had 4 Hillbillys in a row. Another day I had 3 Legions without having Legion for a full week before. One evening I had 14 Nurses in 15 games. But those numbers are not really showing anything because the overall number of games is low as well.
Still interesting, tho.

Sure, it would suck having the ultra rare addon weve waited for on nurse to be a trashy version of an addon she already has..and reducing the speed on these addons would mean one slight mistake and you lose the chase and she becomes hilariously easy to dodge, and I know her best addons are a tad overboard however I'm not of the opinion she should be left with nothing decent
Ah, you are one of the guys who thinks that Nurse needs Add-Ons in the first place.

It's not supposed to be a straight line though. Think of it like as you charge the blink, there's a circle moving forward. Accuracy represents how big this circle is, and you can end up anywhere in the circle. Higher accuracy means a smaller circle. Lower accuracy means a bigger circle, thus a larger margin of error.
I mean, when using Plaid Flannel, you see the landing area as a point. If it would be a circle, yeah, I agree, this can indeed be accurate. But at least for me it looks like you are blinking to a Point, and a line between two points cannot be inaccurate.
But nevertheless, accuracy reduction does not do anything for Nurse currently.

Glad your not on the balance team..
Nice post. Can you elaborate? I mean, you cannot seriously say that the Range- and Multiblink-Add Ons are fine.
@[Deleted User] said:
I'm going to assume that "accuracy" will actually become a thing instead of a thing add-ons say but doesn't actually change anything.
I've never seen "decreases accuracy of the blink" feel any different at all from normal.
I doubt that this can happen. It is a straight line after all. You cannot be inaccurate on a straight line (which is generated as a line between two points).

I just think they need to adjust the animation for holding items. SO MANY of them hide the key behind their leg.
To be fair, they are not having their regular animation then. E.g. Nea hides a Key behind her leg, but she also usually grabs her arm when not holding any item. So if you cannot see anything but she is not performing this animation, she has a Key.
I dont have a problem with Keys in Lobbies. I am able to see them, but well, I am playing on PC, could be harder on PS4 or XBox.
I just dont want handholding in this case, I think it is not too much to expect from a Killer when he uses the time he has to prepare, to actually look at the screen.

I was playing Hag, saw this post, and it gave me an idea for an ultra. You know how, when Nurse blinks, her body vanishes and there's that dash like effect till she reappears? What if her body didn't leave, the dash effect disappeared. It would be similar to Spirit's passive phase. Survivor wouldn't know she blinked, and would need to guess that was the case.
Yeah, another Killer where you can only guess what is happening. Sounds really cool and interactive. Just getting smacked by a Nurse which is far away because there is no way to know if she is blinking or not. Nah, please not.
@topic:
I hope that this Training Add-On will become Common. I used it once, when I was slightly better with Nurse (I still feel dumb when playing her), and it confused me so much. But using it as a Training Wheel because of the low rarity would be better.
Other than that, Multiblinks need to go.
For the Range Add-Ons, they both need a Rarity Increase (Green to Pink and yellow to green or maybe even purple) and Downsides, because they are buffing more than Range, so the other stuff that gets buffed (e.g. Travel Speed) needs to be nerfed.
-
@bout2getreal said:
Exactly- this is stupid
Not really.
A Survivor slugged is out of the game at this point. He cannot help his team, he needs help from his team. Yes, slugging is boring, but sometimes necessary.
When we would allow the use of Keys while slugged, is there any reason other stuff should not work? Like, I can perfectly Insta Heal myself while on the ground. I bet I would be able to get into a locker while in Dying State. And probably other things. This would remove the purpose of this Health State.
Besides taht, there are two ways of finding the Hatch in this scenario: You know it is there earlier, but dont jump into it right away (yes, this happens, we all know this, those Survivors who want the Killer to see they are just going to leave via the Hatch) or if you find it while already in Dying State. And honestly, this is so much Luck, it would not be good if you find the Hatch with your super-low Movement Speed to get away.

Those protection hits are so messed up. The ones you take to actually protect the survivor almost never counts and the hits you take at unnecessary places counts. So it is not exactly reliable either.
Only the first Hit counts as a Protection hit. So if multiple Survivors are getting Hits and you are not the first, you will not get a Protection Hit.
Besides that, WGLF should have more ways for obtaining Stacks. But I really like the change that it needs to be a safe Unhook for the Stack, because it was horrible to get farmed because someone else wants that 25% Bonus BP for the Stack. At least this does not happen that often anymore.

There is absouluty nothing I can do to grab the person in the locker and not get stunned even if I hooked someone else and come back there's nothing I can do expect just wait and guess if it's been a minute. If there's no counter and you can abuse it then its an exploit enduring was a counter to make the stun very short but wasn't long until the entitled survivor mains like you started crying and now ds is way to strong and is being used compelty against it's purpose.
You cannot go after them in the first place.
-
You are correct, Clown is easily better than all of those Killers.
The problem with Clown is, is while he is indeed good at chasing, he is not good enough to play him without Chase Perks. If his Chase-Potential would be good enough to not need to use Enduring (with or without Spirit Fury), or Brutal Strength, it would be way better, when he can only focus on Slowdown and Tracking Perks.

Yes but SWFS 8 times out of 10 have voice communication. Which is far more powerful than any handicap they can put in the game
Heck even without voice chat they can just use steam
Interesting statistic. Where do you have it from?
And well, you are not entitled to win every game...
-
Well, Killers also become more complex. They have 2 abilities lately. Like, Trapper can only place Traps. Spirit can only phasewalk.
Plague has one ability, but this can have two different outcomes.
Ghostface can stalk and crouch.
Freddy has Snares/Pallets and his Teleport.
Demogorgon has his Portals and his Shred-Attack.
I dont think that they are that repeatative, they have the same base when it comes to teleporting, but they have different triggers or ways to do it.
Besides that, I think teleporting is one of the things that might come up more often, because the best Killers can cover distancens pretty fast and it is something that helps the Killers. And well, it is also kinda understandable with their Lore. Demogorgon with the Upside Down, Freddy can teleport in his Dreamworld... If Myers would have been released today, he probably would have teleported as well (seeing how he walks always slowly in the Movies, but can appear suddenly everywhere).
Personally, I like the older Killers more, I especially Ghostface and Demogorgon are not really my cup of tea. For Ghostface, I hate his inconsistency on both ends when it comes to stalking and also I cannot stand how dumb he looks when running after a Survivor. And Demogorgon simply does not really fit in DBD, but well, here he is.
I hope the next Chapter is an original one.

But they should not stop. Those are my favorite moments, when I see the Claudette, crouched, in a corner, thinking she is invisible. Yesterday one was wearing a little bit redish stuff, in the one room with red lights on The Game, hiding in front of a locker. Always a plessure to show them that they are not as invisible as they think (or people claim...).

Even if some people are saying it: Moris are not rare at all. Especially Ebonys, when the Killer does not have any Pink Offerings. On my Hillbilly I have far more Ebony Moris than Ivory Moris, and I did not do that many Bloodwebs at this point.
Personally, I use Moris vs 4 man SWFs, but only if they act toxic. If they act normally, I will play normally.
-
Whatever it is you are on, either you are taking too much or too less of it.
-
Why do you want the 4K anyway? If you played well, you will pip. If not enough Gens were done (e.g. maximum 2) the remaining Survivor does 100% not know where the Hatch is and the Killer is in full advantage of finding it first.
-
Hag is more of a Wendigo.
Myers does not need his own version, because he is in the game and quite an early addition. But it might have been possible, if the License would not been able to get that early, that someone similar to Michael Myers would have been the Killer, like it is with HIllbilly and Leatherface.

As already said, those aren't hitboxes issues. Tho, i think it's time to adjust some hitboxes for survivors, since characters like Feng or Jake share the same hitbox, which is stupid.
This should not happen. Female Characters already have a slight advantage, because their visual model is smaller. Changing the Hitboxes to match the visual model would just push it in a direction of a "Female-Meta". Female Characters would be able to loop better because of the smaller Hitbox, also they would be harder to hit.

It's still possible to escape from the killer if you are the last survivor. For instance if you have DS and you didn't use it, or an exhaustion perk.
Doesnt really matter. The Killer can just leave you slugged for one minute.
It would only be a waste of time without any change of the Outcome.

Eh. I agree with Insidious. Fear of NOED is supposed to slow the game down.
Sadly, cleansing Totems is not really useful. Wasting time for a Perk that the Killer might not even have. And when you face a Nurse, you sometimes do not even have time to look for Totems. Getting hit by NOED then is...meh.
Furthermore, reworking it, could actually save this Perk. With Inner Strength potentially becoming Meta, NOED will be the Perk which suffers. Other Hex-Perks are unaffected (you want to cleanse them anyway, except Haunted Grounds), but with Inner Strength, people are actually doing Totems (which is the only thing why I really like this Perk - I will most likely not use it myself).
@Derp said:
I think Spirit Fury needs a nerf because it's so easy to activate. Just break 2 pallets out of like what, 30 pallets in a match? Especially when you pair it with Enduring, it's beyond broken. Dropping pallets early is a terrible counter against it since it prevents you from looping the killer again and they just kick it immediately afterwards, which shortens every pallet loop so it adds up. Also, I'd say having to use 2 perk slots for it is definitely worth it since it basically guarantees a hit whenever you get pallet stunned, which isn't hard to do and gets you kills a lot faster. I'm just gonna assume that killer mains got very bored with the playstyle of Fury + Enduring since it was used in almost every game not too long ago yet I'm pretty sure it's still viable in the current meta.
Spirit Fury/Enduring is okish for the moment. I see it less used lately, maybe because people are running PGTW instead and Enduring got nerfed. The combo is still good, but I feel it is too straight forward. Like, press W and thats it. But I agree, when more Maps get the Badham-Treating, there should be done something about Spirit Fury, because lots of unsafe Pallets mean that the Survivor needs the Stun to actually have a Chance, but this is not possible with Spirit Fury/Enduring.

@Aven_Fallen With my question, I did not forbid the user to specify that any maps would favour only specific killers. Also, the person I was replying to was the one who was speaking about "many killer sided maps" in general. So I don't think there is anything wrong with asking.
You are even claiming that every map would favour some killers. So, just to pick a few, which killers are favoured by any of the MacMillan maps, Crotus Prenn maps, Haddonfield, Springwood or Red Forest?
You even say that all farm maps are good for Billy, when really Rotten Fields is the only one which doesn't favour survivors. Billy will get looped to death on Thompson House, Cowshed, Torment Creek & Abattoir and I can't come up with any other killer who would be favoured by these maps.
It is the other way round. Killers have best Maps (best in the sense of better than the others), IF they have a meaningful power which can do something out of the Map (e.g. Wraith does not have any Map that helps with the playstyle, so has Clown or Legion).
Few examples:
Trapper-->McMillan Maps when using Tar Bottles, Yamaoka is also quite good for Trapper, but The Game is not good at all, because the Traps are visible.
Billy-->Farm Maps are better than other Maps because they have huge open Spaces to use the mobility at its best.
Hag-->Basically the opposite of Billy, the more open the Map is, the worse it is for Hag. So Lerys or The Game are good, Farm Maps are awful.
Doctor-->The Game (or small Maps in General), gets hurt on basically every other Map because Doc sucks
Ghostface-->Lerys or the Game, Maps with hiding spots in General, Corn Maps are the worst
and probably many others.
So the Direction Killer-->Map good for this Killer works. But making Killers out of Maps would not work. It is basically the combination of both, as Survivor you can be happy when you see that the Map is Blood Lodge, but very unhappy if you hear that the Killer is Nurse. On the other hand, if it is Lerys, you might want to vomit (at least I do, I hate indoor Maps), but when you hear the Nurse, you know that it helps you in this case.
I dont think that there is any Map which is Killer-sided in the game. If people speak about a killer-sided Map, I only read "The Game", but that is only for Hex Perks. I am not running any Hex-Perks and so I have nothing to benefit from, so for me, The Game is not killer-sided. Maybe because Survivors spend so much time to find Gens, but thats it.
-
I dont think that Perks need to be nerfed at this point. The last Perk which needed a Nerf was Mettle of Man, but this got destroyed. Other than that, I am more up for Reworks than Nerfs.
Reworks:
NOED-->Make it something that requires effort instead of just "Oh, you have a Totem, here, your free Insta-Down and Speed Boost", especially with those Totem Spots that are added lately (the Badham Totem Spots are decent and the new Map also has some nice Totem Spots). Mentioned it before, OhTofu made a good suggestion in my opinion. Removing the Hex-Status and make it based on the number of Hooks. Like per Hook 0,5% Movement Speed after all Gens are done and at X Hooks the Insta-Down. This would reward Killers who played well during the game, but werent able to do enough.
Insidious-->Really, this only promotes bad and boring gameplay. It is fun for nobody. Maybe its fun for the Killer to read the Endgame Chat (terrible kind of person then..), but it will not be fun to stand still for 2 minutes when Gens are popping.
But I dont think that any Perk needs Nerfs.

Now I am curious: Which many maps favour killers?
This is actually a question which does not make sense at all. You can say that for Survivors, because they are just Skins. But for Killers, every Map favours Killers, when we would assume that it is enough when 1 Killer has his best Map.
Like, Farm Maps are all really good for Billy. But bad for Nurse. Nurse is good on Blood Lodge tho, which is also really good for Survivors. Lerys and The Game are amazing for Hag, but Nurse will hate Lerys and Billy is also not strong on them.
So yeah, every Map favours SOME Killers, but you cannot simply say that Map X is really strong for all Killers. And lets not forget Killer Builds.
-
The Game is only really useful when using Hex-Perks. Without Hex-Perks it is not a really good Map for Killer, because nearly all Pallets are safe. It is small tho.
For Survivor, the best Maps are Thompsons House and Blood Lodge.
Thompsons House has 3 really safe Pallets around the Main Building and can have insane RNG (like Cow Loop into Jungle Gym into Jungle Gym).
Blood Lodge has a lot of Pallets in the Center, which are really safe since you can see the Killer. Some High Wall Central Structures would fix this tho.
I dont think that Haddonfield is the best Map for Survivors, it is strong with Balanced Landing, but without it, Thompsons House and Blood Lodge are better.
-
Nope, sorry. I dont see that.
The Wall I ran into while looking behind is bad Map Design.
-
PGTW, better than Ruin on every Killer.
-
Requiering two Hooks will probably make them useless. Some Moris are longer than the way to the Hook.
Regarding "Ivory Mori only a single Person Mori"... If a Survivor gets tunneled and killed right at the start with a Green Mori, it might already be GG. 3v1 is almost a Loss anyway. Furthermore, the guy who got killed by the Mori will not feel any different if it was a Green or Pink Mori.
As written in other Threads, a number of Hooks (not the same person) for the Moris would be quite good, because this would prevent that someone simply gets tunneled out of the game.
