  • I dont see Crossplay coming anytime soon. It would be highly unfair, not only would players on Controller deal with players who are using Keyboard and mouse (dont know how much of a difference it is, I rarely play on console, so I suck at Controller), but also the Performance on Console is way worse, a Console player would have such a big disadvantage.

I mean you can look up in this very same post and see people asking for a Freddy nerf because his slowdown is "too much." Rank 1 survivors have an 80% survival rate, and that was before the nurse nerf, so no, they don't need to nerf Spirit before they do anything else like people are screaming for. They need to buff Doctor, Leatherface, Clown, Wraith, etc. before they take down the last really viable killer against a red rank SWF. Otherwise you'll see that survival stat jump to something terrifying like 90%, which is terrible in any game. Just to clarify, I don't play Spirit unless I have a daily, and have never played Nurse. I just think overall killer viability should be increased, then they can pull Spirit down to whatever makes people happy.

80% Survival Rate is due to a poor statistic. It takes the Rank after the game, not before the game. So if you derank and die, you are not counted towards the Rank 1-statistic.

It does slow vault speed. It forces you into a medium vault. It's basically a free hit at killer shack.

Only on Windows. Pallets are still fast Vaults.

  • There will be Crossplay on PC between Steam Version and Microsoft Store Version. No other Crossplay confirmed yet.

  • The Maps are the problem, not BL. Removing the 75% Stagger Reduction would easily make BL one of the worst Exhaustion Perks.

I played a ridiculous amount of clown since his release.

He really needs a LOT of changes and buffs. His bottles don’t in anyway achieve the effect the devs intended.

You would get more out of it if all Maps would be like Badham or Hawkins. Then his Slowdown would actually matter and not result in early Pallet Drops, which need to be broken anyway.

But I dont know if Clown will ever be a good choice, because he got simply powercreeped by Freddy. Freddy can also slow down Survivors, but can spam his ability (unlike Clown), can teleport to Gens (unlike Clown) and has a variety of other Add Ons which are not bound to his Snares.

  • Legion-->Was no good Killer to begin with. And he was unfun and unhealthy for the game.

new Freddy-->not really much complaints about him. Most of the complaints are more about his massive Slowdown, which I agree, it is too much and new Freddy can be viable without just putting as much Slowdown as possible on him.

Nurse-->Still the best Killer in the game.

Pig-->Pig got nerfed passively, because of consistency. The End Game Potential of the RBTs got removed, because they are not intended to be saved until Endgame.

Spirit--> Wastly boring and unfun to play against.

Dont see any of those you brought up justified. But well, whining thread of a Killer Main?

The problem with the Styptic, is that I'm a Plunderer who runs Ace in the Hole.

Whenever I pull a Medkit from a chest with Styptic, I just pull my hair out in frustration because it can't even friking' heal you.

You can heal fully with it. The charges are not reduced anymore.

  • Depends how fast Killers will adapt.

Because basically, as Killer, when the Survivor just lost his Medkit, you have to wait for 10 seconds to get rid of both "Insta Heals". The Endurance is gone after 8 seconds and the 16 seconds for the Syringe have not been reached.

But yeah, it is kinda nice, even tho, I used it for yolosaving Teammates without BT so that I can at least get out safely.

You do realise that comparing legion/future spirit/nurse's case to a rework is utter crap?

A rework makes it a completely new killer with a new skillset, what Legion and nurse got were NERFS. The only rework up to date was Freddy.

    No sense in downplaying that.

Incase you didnt pay attention to all the discussions around Spirit, NO ONE ever drops the idea of a rework, only nerfs.

Oh wow, I wrote Rework instead of Nerf. Nevertheless, most of the time people are talking about Rework when they talk about Legion. even the Devs talked about a Rework.

Yeah, you 100% have a point here. And it is so much important, wow. This should totally take away the other 99% of my post, sure, sure.

She's gonna get Legion'd, then Hillbilly gonna get Legion'd, then Huntress gonna get Legion'd..

    There's no stopping this train.

I mean, Nurse is still the best Killer in the game. And the difference between Nurse/Spirit and Legion is simply that Legion was never a good Killer to begin with. He was underpowered form the start, he was able to down one person 100% in a long period of time, which is really unfun for the Survivor who is being chased, and unfun for the other 3 Survivors, because they can only rush Gens, since there was no interaction between Killer and Survivor.

Of course, if you take away the unfun Part of Legion, he will still be weak, he was weak to begin with. But Spirit can actually be reworked to something which is somewhat enjoyable to go against, without making her a weak Killer, her Basekit is really strong, and I highly doubt that they will butcher her.

  • No, it does not affect anything which is not healing, repair or Sabotage. So mending, Snap Out, Wake Up, etc. are not affected by Thanatophobia.

  • Sadly you will be banned for cheating now. :(

    Nah, just kidding.

Accidentally Progress from the 18ths of October is counting for the Rift. You keep that progress, it is added to your normal Rift Progression. Everything is fine.

  • As long as the game does not become darker, I simply dont like it. There is no atmosphere playing in Daylight.

  • Clown is not that bad. What makes Clown bad are the Maps, there is not really any point in playing Clown as long as the Survivor can throw the Pallet early.

However, with new Badham and Hawkins, there are two Maps which are good for Clown. The Survivor can throw the Pallet, but it is unsafe. So there is no need in breaking it. If Maps get reworked to Badham/Hawkins-Level, Clown would not be bad at all, he would be quite solid.

But it is a long way (and more Balance) to this.

Personally, I dont like playing Clown. There are some cool games with him, but I cannot bring myself to play him.

  • Because he is visible at the FIre in the Menu.

  • This one is highly unlikely, but a Map with a big Lake would be neat.

  • Swamp Offering. Triggering one of the Crow Bombs is enough for the Challenge.

And well, you dont need to get the 25 Crows in one game anyway.

  • Yeah, Dead Hard is not worth a Perk Slot currently. To gain distance, it is alright, but to actually evade a Hit, it does not work at all.

  • She is still the best Killer. Does the best Killer really need Buffs?

  • This is already one of the easiest challenges. No reason to lower the amount of effort at all.

  • Can we make Vaults work properly first? The positioning after the Vault (a fast vault!) is still not fixed. So many hits because you get sucked back to the Window, even if played it correctly.

If that's the case they REALLY need to reword a lot of these challenges because right now, some are just confusing or making them sound way worse than they actually are. But, this is also just typical game dev behavior. They'll place blocks on these sorts of battle passes where they know many players will struggle to complete them, and hope that if they become desperate enough, they'll cough up some cash to get those last few tiers. It's sad that even BHVR seem to be falling down this route, because even if we were to just play, you're getting like 1 rift fragment per level gained. It would take way too long just to get a few tiers of the pass this way

You dont have to put any money in the Rift to complete it. It is entirely optional. Furthermore, Rift =/= Archives. You can complete the Rift without doing any Archive-Mission.

Besides that, I think even the Level 4-ones are doable. Especially the Killer ones, except for the End Game-Challenges (both Survivor and Killer), they are all doable. Not on first attempt tho, but this is fine. Like, its easy to hook people in the Basement, using Map Offerings and Agitation/Iron Grasp (would not recommend to use Bubba for this btw). Killing all 4 in the Basement is a different Story, but also achieveable.

"Completely repair 4 generators using the perk Dark sense" in a single trial, this is almost impossible unless you play with your 3 friends and they just loop the killer and let you do all generators :D

Peanits said in another Thread that this mission is meant to be part of the repair of 4 Gens while using Dark Sense. So you dont need to repair 4 Gens by your own, but participate in the repair of 4 Gens.

He also mentioned that some of the later Challenges are placeholders for now, they can still change.

  • OhTofu made a guide, it includes many basic things, but also the correct timing:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKhVtADbjlo

  • Usually, when a Mori is involved it is written like "by your own hands". At least on the PTB there was a Mission to use a Mori, written like that (or similar).

  • I think we can stop calling it an Event. It is no Event.

Feedback: Please, future Events should not be part of the Rift. Keep them separated, if you would get Vials via Gens or Hooks, you would get a way better feeling with the event.

The BPs are nice, but I guess it is more the Bloodhunt which is noticeable.

  • Infinite EW3 does not require that much Stalk. So you can be 100% careful with that and still have some Idiots on your team, who feed him Evil.

The 4 Gens and the the 3 unhooks in endgame are atrocious for sure. Pretty sure there were a couple more that made me give up hope on Tier 4. Oh 3 NOED kills in endgame as well... eww.

I mean, thats the only way some Killers get Kills, even before the Archives... So is it really a challenge to use NOED?

    @Gen Challenge:

If it is working on 4 Gens which are completed, this is actually not that bad. Nothing done in first try, but also not impossible.

Billy is better if you hit every of your chainsaws. But the question is if billy can hit every chainsaw.

Billy cant land on top of (good) Survivors. Billy cant run through walls. Billy cannot ignore Pallets or Windows.

  • I faced a Nurse today who had the yellow Blink Recharge Add-On as the only Add-On, and he was quite clear that Nurse is still S-Tier.

When testing Nurse myself (I am not good with her), I feel that the Servers are a bigger Issue.

  • Did it on my first try. Was easy. No reason to DC in a game, you will get it eventually.

So yeah, neither your teammates, nor the creators of this challenges are to be blamed, you are to be blamed for DCing from games, just because you did not get what you wanted in the first try.

  • If a Mori is needed, it will most likely be written like "by your own hands" or something similar.

  • This would overdue it. I would rather look that a missed attack might not remove a PWYF-Token, because this is kinda frustrating.

Thing is, Movement Speed is the most important thing in DBD. Making it easy obtainable wouid be too strong. I mean, when you have 3 Stacks of PWYF, you will get the Survivor 100%. No Loop is safe. Now you lose a Stack for downing him, and get one instantly back because the Obsession is seen with BBQ. Not really, PWYF is balanced around the fact that you need to spend time to get your Tokens.

Same goes for OoO - I dont want to get screwed, because one of my Teammates has Object, and I have to play vs a Killer with 15% extra Movement Speed.

It is also not really an argument that it only makes sense on specific Killers. Thats like saying that Bamboozle should close a Window when you are near to it, because you cannot really use Bamboozle on Spirit.

EDIT: Not saying that PWYF could not get a Buff, but I feel it is a Perk to be careful with.

  • Make it automatic with a Button to give up. And everyone is happy.

Really, I am not mad at getting hooked, I am mad that I need to mash my Spacebar.

  • Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed.

    This helps.

The Dates might not be true anymore, since the Update was delayed.

  • My Myers-Games were fine today. And I rarely see Spine Chill or Premonition.

The problem here is not that people want to complete the Rift, its that Lore is locked behind unreasonable challenges and time-gates. This should should be achievable by normal players. Nothing like having to visit Youtube or the DbD wiki for all the Lore that you could have earned yourself if it wasn't locked behind insanity out of fear that players might beat the Rift too fast.

The Lore is quite easy to get. Even with the Level 4 Tomb, just do the Killer Challenges. They are most likely not done in the first game, but way more reasonable than the Survivor Challenges.

  • That is the Sabotage-Daily, isnt it?

I kinda like it, because it gives me a reason to actually sabotage some Hooks and at least try some play with it. Even tho, it is hard to pull off when playing Solo.

People can’t just play through the pass at once. Even if you complete the level tomorrow, you need to wait several weeks before the last level comes out.

They can. With their Rift Fragments they get for playing.

  • I mean, you get a extra Perk Slot for Scratched Mirror Myers, because you dont need Monitor anymore. Not the worst trade.

  • I like them, but only on Survivors. I think they do not fit on Killers Hook.

For Killers, I would rather like Hook Designs.

  • Burn a Swamp Offering.

Trigger the Crow Bomb on the Ship/Pantry.

Get your BP and RIft Fragments.

Three easy steps to success (even tho, I had to do it two times, because I did not trigger any Crow Bomb, they simply did not want to go off... Second time I got 25 crows with that).

  • Because people want everything without putting money or effort in it.

  • 5 times you have to do this: Break a Gen or a Pallet.

Not: Break a Gen or a Pallet (only the Pallet) 5 times.

Seems like the language caused this.

I was under the impression that Rift Fragments were awarded for leveling up and are quite difficult to get. I'm afraid I don't have much time these days, and I cannot spend an unholy amount of time on Dead By Daylight, no matter how much I want to.

I mean, you can check in the end how much you progressed on the free Track and check out, what you would have gotten on the Premium Track and then base your decision upon that, if you want to buy the Rift Pass or not.

Also, they added the progress from the 18ths (dont quote me on the current date, only like 90% sure), so you can check how much progress you got in those days and you can estimate how much progress you will likely get in the full Rift Period.

  • You can get Rift Fragments via playing. Also, go for the Killer Challenges if you want the Lore, they are easier than the Survivor ones.

No need to spend additional Auric Cells.

While it creates a new objective for me to do, i find that if it says disturb 25 crows, im gonna run around the whole map until i count up to 25, and then im not gonna care if the killer kills me because i just want to hurry up to the next objective, im sorry but the system is a little flawed. who else agrees?

You dont need to get the 25 Crows in one game tho. Also, burn a Swamp Offering and trigger the Crow Bomb on the Ship/Pantry. Works wonders, those are already like 20 Crows.
