Any input here @Peanits or do the devs think a 60-second hook immunity is fair?
I dont know if their mind has changed, but his last response (few weeks old) was that they are not planning any changes to DS.

Only a few Maps are way too big, Yamaoka is pretty big. Rotten Fields is far too big and simply horrible, early Gamedesign. It is not enjoyable for Survivors either.
Also the Red Forest Maps are too big, which is quite ironic, because one is tied to the Killer with the worst Map Presence.

Curious what they would do with Trapper because as weak as I know he is, overall (and I think covering all ranks) he's one of the best performers according to BHVR stats. I still wouldn't mind him getting some kind of lateral change. It doesn't have to be a buff or nerf, just something a little different.
He is not doing well because of his Basekit, he is doing well because Killer in Low Ranks is really strong and he is the most iconic Killer.
He is the first Killer in the List and he is the Killer which is displayed when you first see the game. Sure people pick him up first and thats why he is played so much.
If Wraith would be in his Spot, Wraith would have these good results.
-
Just slug him...
Free Map Pressure as well. But I guess thats too difficult.
-
If someone is a godlike Leatherface, this will not make Leatherface get nerfed. If certain individuals are good with a Killer, this does not mean that the Killer is overperforming.
But Spirit is really a Killer which does not need that much effort to be played, but has a huge outcome. I would call that overperforming, when you just have to have ears. Because, I have ears.

I can't stand playing male survivors they take up the screen, they're really loud, and they have a bigger hitbox.
Hitbox is the same for every Survivor. Only the visual model is different.

Yes, but you cannot press Space (or the Dedicated Servers decide that you did not press Space, when you actually hit Space :> ).
I would not recommend it tho, it might be possible that you will not get a chance after your second Hook, because maybe nobody will get you.
-
Yes, I have fun, otherwise I would not be playing.
If they remove the Dedicated Servers I will even have more fun.

Honestly, neither Self Care nor Inner Strength are really good. Inner Strength is better than Self Care, because it ignores Stuff like Thanatophobia or Sloppy Butcher, but thats it. Breaking Dull Totems is a waste of time (when you want to be efficient, this does not stop me from breaking them tho), and it is not a free Heal for 8 seconds. It takes 22 seconds in total + the time to find a Locker, which is roughly the same as Self Care then.
Now considering you cannot find a Totem because other persons broke it... Not really worth the Perk Slot, it is better than Self Care, but nothing more. And I have seen the same dumb situations with Inner Strength as I have seen with Self Care - the classic: Person healing on the other side of the Map with Self Care, maybe even vs Sloppy Butcher. Cool. Meanwhile I had a Nancy next to me on a Gen who did not do the last Gen, but wanted to cleanse a Dull Totem. It did not get finished...
So yeah, in my opinion, both Perks are bad.
-
Clown has two problems in my opinion, and he is not even that weak from his Basekit:
First thing is, he got powercreeped by Freddy. There is no reason to play Clown when you can play Freddy. His Snares are compareable to the Gas, they are unlimited, he does not slow down while using them, he can have Add Ons which are not only related to his Snares (like Slowdown) AND he can teleport full Map away.
Second thing: The Maps. It is not really Clown, the Maps are the problem. Clown has a Chase-Ability, but it is not enough to play him without Perks which help in a Chase like Enduring(+Spirit Fury) or Brutal Strength. Really strong Killers do not need Perks which help in a Chase, like Spirit, shle can totally focus on Tracking and Slowdown-Perks, this is not possible for Clown. And even with his Chase Potential, the Survivor can drop the Pallet early, which forces the Pallet break and results into distance for the Survivor.
But on Hawkins and new Badham, Clown is not that bad. I think when all Maps would be reworked like this (which will probably happen, eventually, but long way to go), he can be quite solid (with some Tweaks to his Basekit).

Let me outline the match for those who think I did nothing.
I got 3 gens done, 1 by myself and 2 co-op.
I unhooked 3 people, and healed 2 of them
the killer didn't want to chase me after the unhook, which was unfortunate for the unhooked person. 3 out of 4 of us escaped at the end.
I did actually pallet stun the killer but again, they didn't want me for some reason
This is probably not correct. We would need to see the Emblems, but with what you described you should have gotten an Iridescent in Benevolence (if all Unhooks were safe), at least Silver in Lightbringer and Gold in Unbroken. Those are 9 Points, which should be enough for the Blackpip, regardless of what happened in the Chaser-Emblem.
-
While I agree that some people miss Hag at their higher Tiers, I would not compare her to Nurse or Spirit. She is amazing, but gets ######### by a few things:
Flashlights-->Yes, those might not be the most effective thing, but they can be annoying.
Urban Evasion-->Not run that much, but still.
Big Maps-->If the Map is too big, she might not even be able to teleport, lowering her Map Pressure because she will either have to focus on one area (which can work or not, depending on Survivors competence and their Spawn) or she will not be able to cover parts of the Map at all
Competent Survivors-->I think once you played a lot of DBD, you know things like crouching near Hooks, not running into the Basement when someone is hooked there, triggering her Traps when she is carrying someone, etc.
So while I agree that she is one of the Strongest Killers (at least Top 4 for me), I dont think that she can be compared to Nurse or Spirit.

It is quite rare to escape and depip. If this is happening quite often to you, you are doing something wrong during your games. This happened two times recently, one time because the person I unhooked decided to bodyblock the Killer for another downed person so that I got an unsafe Hook Rescue (even with BT). But this is not solely the problem of the unsafe Hook Rescue, if I would have done more Unhooks or better Chases, I would have at least blackpipped.
The only reason where I would say that a Blackpip is needed would be an AFK-Killer, not everyone wants to run in front of the Killer for a few minutes to get the Chase Points, and if it is a Wraith, good luck with getting your Emblems. Or, like just happened today, a Basement Bubba who guarded his Chest. Not my fault that nobody was dumb enough to go into the Basement, so I got no Evader at all, bronze Benevolence, so I depipped.
So an AFK-Killer should be the only exception where an Escape should give the Blackpip.

If I down you, because one of your teammates did a very stupid unsafe unhook, and I then face a ds on you, that is pretty much the point where I will tunnel you out of the match for it. ^^
You would do that anyway :)
-
You should try Bloody Coil and Oily Coil. All this work just for getting injured.
-
Monitor, PGTW, Corrupt Intervention, Enduring is what I am using.
-
Yeah, Iridescent Heads/Infantry Belt are a Combo which should not exist. If I have the choice of either taking 5 Hatchets which do one Health State or 3 with Insta-Down, I go for Instadown. Furthermore, there is no additional Skill involved, because people who are already good with Huntress do not need to do anything special to use it. And most of the time they throw the Hatchets at you from 1 meter distance, even I will hit when I am that close.
Either Iridescent Heads should trump all other Add Ons, making it one (or maybe two) Hatchets and no more.
Or, what I have read on the Forum here: Iridescent Head should refill all Hatchets after a Hit or Down (I would prefer Down). This way it would not be broken, but also a timesaver for Huntress.
-
@Awakey said:
It's not hitboxes. It's latency. On the Killer's end, they hit you. Maybe not on yours, but the game favors the Killer in this instance.
As Killer you also get Hits which simply look wrong.
-
I did not notice any problems with Flashlights, neither as Survivor nor as Killer.
-
First they should disable the Dedicated Servers. But sadly they are ignoring every request for that, it is ok that PC players suffer I guess. But hey, at least they are there in Fall 2019! They are ######### and nobody really likes them, but yes, they are there.
Regarding the Hits: There are two things that are really annoying:
If it is Lag or Hitboxes, whatever, but Hits though Windows which are on higher Floors are really, really bad. Like yesterday I jumped out of the Vault Spot of those broken Trucks on the Autohaven Maps, got my Balanced Landing and still got hit by the Killer, while I was already on the ground. Getting hit midair at the big Vault on The Game also happened more than once.
Also, through Windows, you lose Momentum, even after Fast Vaulting. This results in some Hits which should not hit, you can clearly see that the Character is set back for a really brief moment. So even if you play the WIndow perfectly and get a legit fast vault, you will get hit. This is not a Dedicated Server Issue, this was an Issue they even talked about when introducing Medium Vaults, but they never fixed it. But I have the feeling that Dedicated Servers made it worse.
So yeah, ######### those Servers I guess.

She also only has 0 TR while crouched. And thus will be even slower than Myers is while getting the benefit and has no power the rest of the time
Scratched Mirror Myers has 0 TR always
You will not chase the people crouched tho. It is enough to know where they are, uncrouch and get them. Sneaking up with 0 TR is not that hard on Maps like Lerys.
-
I guess you mean Amandas Letter, because while Amandas Secret has Aura Read, it is nowhere compareable to Scratched Mirror.
Personally, I dont think that this would be a good idea. While the Aura Read is only active while The Pig is crouched, she is a 115% MS-Killer, after all. Myers with Scratched Mirror has 105% MS, which is a huge disadvantage. So giving her such a strong Aura Read would be too much.
-
Thing is indeed, Killers dont understand that they can slug the Survivor. It is the same amount of Map Pressure, one person is slugged and cannot do Gens and at least one other person will not do Gens because he is healing up the slugged person. With 1 person in a chase (the guy who unhooked), this is maximum 1 Survivor on a Gen. Great.
And well, if someone is really unhooking in front of the Killer, 1 Hit on the Unhooker while he is unhooking, one hit after the Unhook and BT and DS are basically non-existent, because there is another Hook.
Regarding DS itself:
Yes, it is 100% needed. Back in the day I thought that Self Care was a Perk I need, then it was Adrenaline, now it is DS. I never play a Character without DS, because it is not worth it. And the DSes I hit are all justified, I am not that kind of person who wants to annoy the Killer because he has 60 seconds of Hook immunity, I get tunneled and can use DS then. And there will always be that moment when a Teammate farms without BT so that you at least have DS to get away. Or when you are hooked where no Pallets are left to work with after an Unhook.
I mean, one day I wanted to use BP Offerings on two Survivors before prestiging them... They both did not have DS and I got tunneled every game, because the Killer knew I do not have DS after the first Unhook, so he can safely tunnel me after the second Unhook.
So yeah... DS is needed for Survivors, it is one of the best Survivor Perks and there will always be a situation where you will need it.
-
The Data was not sorted by Rank. Thats why someone like Trapper had such a high Killrate, because brown Ranks have many Trappers and those are performing quite well (because Killer is really strong in low Ranks).
On high Ranks, obviously, Trapper will not have such a high Kill Rate, but Killers like Spirit or Nurse will (at least on PC, in regards to Nurse). Also, a difference can be made between Console and PC - with Nurse it is kinda obvious. But even with Spirit, most likely (at least Low Rank players) will not play DBD with a Headphone. Of course, at Red Ranks, Survivors and Killers will most likely use Headphones, but on lower Ranks... doubt it.
So yeah, those statistics need to be taken with a grain of salt.
Funny thing btw.: When it comes to Survivors, everything should be balanced around Red Ranks. But when it comes to Killer...Nope, not acceptable.

I was surprised at how easy "This is happening" was. The required perk makes great skill checks easier, and I paired it with No Mither and Resilience and finished the challenge on the first gen I worked on. And I'm normally terrible at great skill checks.
This was my favorite challenge, actually, because it specifically taught me the usefulness of a perk I'd overlooked and never used.
Funny enough, you dont need to be injured for it. I mean, you would logically think that you have to so that "This is not happening" has actually a purpose. But nope, can be done by hitting Great Skill Checks while being healthy.
I did it with No Mither as well (vs Scratched Mirror Myers, not that much fun)
-
When you get it started, the Traps are a massive Slowdown. Having them unlimited would be too much.
-
40, did all the Challenges in the first two days.
-
They are dicks. If people are playing like that, I dont say anything in Postgame Chat, because they want to read that.
LIke, I vsed an Indisious Bubba with an Ebony during the last Double-BP event (before the most recent one) which Name was "Screw your Double BPs". Obviously he wants to create this salt, so no reason to give it to him.

It really isn't a buff, it will actually nerf some of her power strengths and it will change some of her builds. In direct chases you would be able to hear her phase sound within 16m so it would damage her singular mindgame potential, but it would make her less power reliant and more stealthy. Survivors will have to pay attention to sounds or visual cues and Spirit won't have direct nerfs. It would also make her like a reverse Wraith in some aspects. Many people don't realize this but Spirit is actually really loud out of power and has a lot of audio tells.
Currently Spirit is bugged so that you hear her Phasing inside the Terror Radius. And still she is really strong, the only thing which does not work anymore is this TOTALLY SKILLBASED MINDGAME she has at Pallets/Windows. Because you still dont know where she is when she is phasing and you still cannot really get away, because she moves way faster than a Survivor. So changing the TR would only be a Buff, she would be able to sneak up on people easier (less distance = higher chance to catch someone with Phasing) and Perks like Nurses Calling would be even stronger on her than they are right now (with M&A this would be 8 Meter TR...).
The change to Prayer Beads would give the Spirit a Perk Slot so that they dont even need to equip a Perk to counter Iron Will, while the Survivor still has a useless Perk at this point.
-
Was just saying that I am bad.
But yeah, at Red Ranks, you can get people who are bad at chases. The Ranking System does not require that you are a decent Looper to Rank up. Do Gens and Unhooks, and you will rank up without anything better than Bronze on Evader.
Like, yesterday I played Myers because of my Daily (level up EW 4 times). At one point I had to stop, because I needed more EW, because the game went way too fast. All of them were Red Ranks.
(Also depends on what time after Rank Reset... Your statement might be correct right after Rank Reset, but 3 weeks after Rank Reset, you will have quite a lot of Potatoes in Red Ranks)
-
@akbays35 said:
Her Terror radius should get lowered so she can't abuse certain TR perks and could use Monitor and Abuse as a mobile stealth killer and she has more audio counterplay if survivors get distance in a chase. This way survivors have to listen or watch her power for counterplay. Prayer beads should get reworked to reduce Phase sound by 50% and increase survivor sounds in Phase by 50% this way it retains a bulk of its function and can allow Spirit players to have a different perk setup than Stridor. The only other issue I have is her 360 extended lunge out of phase, but if a Spirit is that skilled to use it I'm honestly ok with it and don't find it game breaking, but it's a counter to practical survivor sneaking.
So, you actually want to buff her? Cool.

At red ranks it definitely happens a lot ,lol
You have never played vs me then.
-
To be honest, how would you define Tunneling and Camping then? Sure, if the Killer hooks you, Ruin still up, 5 Gens to go and camps you, this is pretty clear.
But what if 2 Gens are left and he needs someone dead? Or when everyone is around the Hook? What exactly does tunneling mean? I mean, when I see the guy who just got unhooked, I follow him, when I dont see any other person. If the Unhooker decides to hide, while he is full health and leaves the injured person as a target, this is not my fault.
So you cannot really define Tunneling or Camping to justify not getting deranked for that. Also, I feel that those games are the minority, at least on Red Ranks. Sure, there are some guys out there who tunnel and camp (a specific German Fog Whisperer is really good at it, quite amusing how he complains about BT and DS all the time, because those are perfect Perks vs him), but those are the minority, from my experience.
Where I 100% agree - Stealth abilities should not counter BT. BT should work against camping Killers, and it should not matter if this Ghostface is in Night Shroud or not, he is near the Hook, so BT should work.
-
Your ideas are nerfing Solos as well. This is like saying, because Old Nurse was so strong, Killers need to hook Survivors 4 times instead of 3 times. And then every weak Killer will become 100% unplayable.
You cannot call general Survivor Perks as Nerfs for SWF, when they also affect Solos.
The only thing that should be done is that Solos should be pushed to the same Level as 4 man SWFs and Killers balanced around this.

Will be my last post, because it is too dumb for me to argue here:
If you really take 5x80 seconds aka 400 seconds aka almost 7 minutes to Catch one Survivor with two others on Exhaustion after using Head On, you are just bad and Head On is no problem.
Once again: Its a gimmicky Perk and nowhere near as strong as the Metaperks.

I'll tell you what I think the problem is; if you have four people using head on to sabotage your chases, that means that if you chase one survivor there are three other survivors waiting to use head in three different lockers; at this point it becomes a guessing game, you have to stop the chase near a locker to bait the head on three times during a chase, which makes the survivor you are chasing gain more distance if you get it wrong. And even if you manage to bait one there are still three lockers to bait that can either stun you during a chase or make the survivor you are chasing gain more distance again. If you don't see a problem with this level of coordination, I don't know what to tell you. But I would love to see you play against teams like this and in case you have already played against this strategy I'd like to see how you handle it just to get better at countering this strategy, because you sound too confident when you say "I don't see the problem".
What is the problem with this?
If I take your example, nobody is doing Gens. If nobody is doing Gens, a Chase can go on for 1 hour, and it will be good for you.

I cannot have a good game with legion and every legion I face has a hard time even killing one person and I’m in red ranks. Their perks are good but wow what a bad killer
Like I said, old Legion was bad as well. There was exactly 0 Skill involved, it was impossible to depip with Legion (right now it is also really hard to depip), and he was able to get a Survivor 100% of the time while losing the game because of 0 Map Pressure.
Legion is not a good Killer at all, currently. And whenever I play him, I also know this, but at least he is not terrible for Dead by Daylight. Whoever said that Legion is good for the game, is not good for the game.
They will get their rework eventually, I am fine with it, as long as they are fun to play and play against (and I would like to have the ability to vault Pallets as a Killer). So yeah, I dont regret buying the DLC. Also, there is Jeff with his Black Metal Skin, you cannot say "No" to this.

Fine with the DLC. I play Legion way more than before, because I have too much empathy to play old Legion.

Completely wrong way of looking at it.You still have 2 people doing gens, but you also are guaranteed to lose the chase. How are you supposed to win if you lose every chase?
I think you dont understand how it should work as Killer. You need to put Pressure on Survivors so they are not on a Gen. Like: 1 person hooked, one person you are chasing, 1 person going for the Rescue. This is 3 people not on Gens.
With Head On, you are basically chasing two people at once. Two are not on Gens, just for this 3 second Stun. They are risking an Insta-Down with going into the Locker. Head On is gimmicky and fun, but not that strong.
I guess you are overestimating the benefit of a Head On-Stun...

If you do that the undetectable status kind of loses consistency.
If some auras work then how come others can't. Then that is something that's going to be debated on by both sides.
I mean, the point was always that the Survivor will know that the Killer has Rancor and can adapt. But with Undetectable, this is not the case.
(Also Kindred should not lose the Aura Read because of Undetectable, just as an addition)
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
I'm not really a genius, but don't you know that killer got rancor since the first gen popped? I mean seriously, just hide. Hide good or loop good. The majority of the killer can't get an easy hit on ya.
Not if the Killer has a Stealth-ability. I vsed a Ghostface yesterday (no Healing-Build) who had Rancor, I did not know until the end that he had Rancor, so I was pretty surprised when I got morid by him.
So not really sure if Undetectable should block the Aura Read of Rancor.
-
Either Whispers or Enduring, cannot decide. I like to find people fast, but I also like that I can simply run into Pallets.
-
You did not pay for the Tomes at all. The Tomes are only tied to the Rift, but not required. You gain Rift Fragments by playing, the Tomes are a 100% free Feature.
So you cannot go with "I have paid money for the Premium Rift", when the Tomes are a F2P-Feature, which does not require the Premium Rift at all.
-
2 Survivors left with 3 Gens to go on the Game with all Pallets gone. Does not sound like he had a bad game.
When I play Scratched Mirror Myers it also works.
-
I mean, a Tier List is never 100% objective. Like, I would rank Pig quite high, because I get really good results with her, other people would say that she is one of the weakest Killers. But Clown is nowhere near Nurse or Spirit.
Overall, I dont think that Clown is really weak. He got powercreeped by Freddy (Freddy can do the same (Slowdown during Chase), but has the better ability, does not need to recharge his Snares, can teleport), but overall I think that the Maps are the bigger problem for Clown, there is no point in the Gas when the Survivor can drop the Pallet early and be safe.
However, Badham and Hawkins are quite good for Clown, Survivors can drop the Pallet early, but it is not safe. So his Gas does more.
So yeah, I dont think that you are stupid. But I would be very surprised if people would agree that he is compareable to Nurse or Spirit.
