I meant much easier compared to solo survivor or killer. Voice comms for survivors are more powerful than any item, addon, perk, or offering in the game.

It's weird to see so many people complain about farming for KYF but not SWF. If people are so concerned about people using the ease of KYF to farm (even though that would be ridiculously inefficient at 25% bp gains), then shouldn't the same people be concerned about people using the ease of SWF to farm? It's a annoying double standard to say that KYF doesn't deserve any bloodpoints but SWF deserves full bloodpoints. If you're that concerned about easier farming, shouldn't SWF get 75% bloodpoint gains or something?

Playing in an SWF is not a guaranteed high outcome of BPs. It is not even a guaranteed win (and people who say that should maybe think a little bit ahead of "Bruh, SWF is unfair"). But playing in KYF is a guaranteed BP-Gain, therefore it should be low.

  • Tier 20, currently.

    Hello,

I just played a match as Killer where I had the music which is playing when all Gens are finished during the whole game. I came into EGC the previous game as Killer and started the next game with the music. Was kinda annoying.

    Platform: PC, Steam

Steps to reproduce: Playing a game as Killer followed by another Killer game

How often does this occur: Just had it happening, dont know how frequent it is

EDIT: Restarting the game AND playing a Survivor Match did not change that I have this music in my Killer games.

It is the music which plays when all Gens are done. There was a Bug that it did not play, this got fixed and now there is a Bug that it plays constantly.

Yeah, I also dont know what happened there...

  • Nice Strawman.

But since most Killers here define "bullying" as "winning against them", yes, bullying (in that sense) is justified. Survivors are allowed to win.

Often enough "bullying" is used when there was no bad action at all. Using Flashlights in an effective way is not bullying. Doing Gens is not bullying. Looping is not bullying. But all of those are referred to as "bullying" when Killers complain about their lost games.

  • How is SWF the easier mode compared to KYF? You get unlimited ressources in KYF, have access to every Perk in the game without spending a single BP on it and you know all other players (including the Killer).

But I think giving BPs in KYF is not that bad, even tho, BP multipliers (like BBQ or WGLF) and BP Offerings need to be disabled/not giving any BP Bonus and it should be quite a low amount so that farming is not worth the time, but there is some little reward for playing a few friendly custom games.

  • Yeah, also got caught by it. It is difficult to hear anyway since they reduced the distance from where you hear Bamboozle (not neccessary to be honest), but also no visual feedback is given.

  • Well, yeah, Toolboxes are crippled now. The best thing you can hope for is an Alexs Toolbox, but even then it is highly unlikely that you get some Sabo-Plays off because the Hooks are not far away from each other.

So, as long as you are not injured and hoping for a Medkit, there is no reason to search Chests anymore. Just stick on Gens.

  • One of them DCed/Crashed while Loading and the game did not register it. It is only a 3v1 you are playing, so there is only 1 Survivor alive so Hatch did spawn.

My killer queue times are 5 mind at least.

    I'm only a lvl17 so I don't understand why the lengthy wait.

Most likely because there are not many low Rank Survivors. This can be

    a) because of the SWF-Matchmaking which places those Survivors who were at around your Rank somewhere in the green Ranks. Like, previously a SWF with a Rank 10 and Rank 20 should have had the average, which would have been 15. So they would be in your Lobby. Now they go against a Rank 10 Killer.

    b) Rank Reset does not reset players that much anymore. This is a huge problem, because eventually, low Ranks will not find games anymore or only when new players join.

  • Peanits wrote in a Thread they know about Billys Bugs and that they were just not able to fix them and rolled out a Hotfix with the stuff they were able to fix.

  • To be fair, you started the Chat. And they most likely did not know that you were a low Rank. The low Rank should btw not be the reason why they were in your Lobby, most likely the AWESOME (this is sarcasm) changes to Rank Reset and SWF-Matchmaking causes this to happen. There are not many low Rank Survivors and since at some point you will get a game, it is one of those.

They probably waited quite long as well.

    1. Basically ignoring every other Survivor on the map to make sure one Survivor is dead. Even if it makes no sense and will most likely lead you to lose the game.
    2. Because there's a surplus of Survivors but not enough people are playing Killer. Killer queues are instant btw.

On two, I experience the other way. If I would now queue up as Killer (Rank 1), I would have at least 5 minutes queue time, but instant Surivor Lobby. If I play this evening, I would get instant Queue Times and Survivor Lobbies of 3 minutes+ (also Rank 1).

Yes, it is so an option.

Explain to me why slugging is not a good idea if you're so phobic about eating a 5 second stun?

I guess you did not get my sarcasm.

I am just amazed that apparently slugging is never an option for Killers when it comes to DS, but slugging in all other ways is always defended.

  • EGC is there to prevent anyone from taking the game Hostage. Closing the Hatch only results in two options - finding/using a Key or opening an Exit Gate. If the Survivor does not want to do any of these, they would be able to hold the game hostage at this point. And this should not happen.

If they decide to do nothing, it will be over after 2 minutes. And will not last for additional 30 minutes, because someone thinks it is funny to sneak around in the corners of the Map.

    Killer can't do anything?

You're telling me all the killer has is stare at the survivor?

    SLUG. My God, SLUG.

YOU chose to open that locker, find someone else? You can't seriously count to 60?

REALLY?! 60 seconds? You're not AWARE enough to keep tabs on what survivors you've hooked in the past minute?

REALLY?! This conversation, on a daily basis is so tiresome because killers want easy kills by tunneling with no consequences.

Tunneling and camping takes 0 skill and 0 practice as well, and I've seen the mindless drones of killers who tunnel the survivor and ignore everything and everyone in their path to get to the unhooked survivor, it's pathetic and THESE are the killers complaining about DS the most.

Jesus Lord in Mighty Heaven these killers.......

Seems you did not understand the logic by now. Slugging because of DS is not possible, never. It is not an option.

Slugging in any other instance is needed however and Survivors should not complain.

And yes, this is the logic. And yes, it is BS.

    @Topic:

Since the Exhaustion Change those Add Ons should not exist in the first place. However, since they did not announce any changes so far, it is a Bug that will most likely be fixed soonish.

    Upvote this.

  • Plague needs some changes. Her stupid strong Corrupt Purge needs Nerfs (but should still be a viable tool) and she needs better access to it by giving the Survivors reasons to cleanse. Something like old Freddys Slowdown - you want to get rid of it, but if needed, you can finish your almost finished Gen.

This would also help her Add Ons, because basically everything which involves Corrupt Purge is either useless or a gamble, because you might not get any use out of it (except for that one Fountain). Besides the apples, of course.

And stuff like Vile Purge effectiveness is also useless once everyone is broken.

  • This would be a combo with only one decent Perk (Spine Chill). You should be happy to see such a Loadout on the Survivor Side.

You show me 1 person 400+ pounds that can run and vault like the survivors in DBD.

Its the same reason you don't see many 400+ pound survivors in horror movies....they are dead.

Hm, and I thought they are simply sold better if the Survivor in a Horror Movie is a half-naked, pretty young girl.

  • I also wish there would be a really fat Survivor. Like 400 pound/180kgs. It would look hilarious when he/she would be vaulting Windows or using Sprint Burst.

Also Clown needs a Skin which shows him only in Boxer shorts. Would use this together with the Mr. Puddles-Head.

Slugging during a match us NOT toxic. Boring but not toxic. Purposely letting people bleed is toxic. Camping is not toxic, especially against an overly altruistic team, or in a 3 gen where hook is near all 3 gens. Tunneling is more of a greyish area but there are definitely times where a killer happens upon a recently unhooked survivor accidentally. That's not tunneling.

As an example that happens quite frequently, killer hooks someone, starts to chase someone else, loses them in the corn or because they were 2 feet away from them in sanctum of wrath. Starts towards another gen or towards the unhook notification. On the way the unhooked person decides he wants to try to trip the killer by crouch walking right in front of him. Killer sees an injured person and downs him. Many killers, myself included, will know that that person was just unhooked so they get slugged.

In that situation, there was no choice but for the killer to be toxic. Other than letting the person run away which at that point may as well be a farming match.

Point is, context matters in what is 'toxic'

Funny how you write so many words about what is considered "toxic" when I did not use this word at all.

"toxic" does not have any meaning anymore. People should stop using it.

Hey. I was thinking about adding after III - 50 special prestige for one cosmetic on that survivor/killer. Like when I have III-50 Steve and could prestige on scoops ahoy shirt. What do you think?

    @xAndr3wRL said:

Or bring something similiar to legacy for the new characters/licenced ones. After you get III-50 with that character you can claim 1 piece of it and put it also on some other cosmetic like scoops ahoy or something.

The problem with both ideas is that the Devs would need to create a prestige Outfit for every existing Cosmetic. This is way too much work for almost no use/benefit.

Besides that, something like Legacy will never come back.

It’s not allowed. The Devs have said so. Not going to save somebody is not the same as repeatedly spamming save over and over and then leaving you.

I have overseen the spamming of the Unhook-Button.

Did you report her ingame? Other than that:

I don't understand why killers nowadays are camping and tunneling during all the game.

In my mind I have to make 2 kills, 2 escape, so I play normally, I camp or tunnel just if survivors are too good and I can't have any kill at all!

I saw so many killers camping me just because I stun them with pallets, I don't bring any flashlight or toolboxes, or whatever.

Maybe I'm too kind for this game. I'm a killer who let some survivors escape, and I'm a survivor who don't bring any item and don't meta perk.

To be fair, playing in a fair way is different from letting two people go. If you dont slug, dont tunnel, dont camp you are playing fair and are even playing fair when you go for the 4K (or a 3K with Hatch escape, if you dont care for that last Survivor getting away).

Letting 2 escape is more than just "playing fair", thats why I wrote earlier it is really nice. But to be honest, I would find it strange if I get sacrificed and two others get to escape for no reason.

  • I doubt that someone gets punished for that. As long as she was not working with the Killer, there is nothing that can be done. If people decide to not save you from the Hook they might be dicks, but nobody HAS to get you off the Hook, nobody is forced to do so.

  • I would not say that you are an idiot, but you are pretty nice when doing so. I would not play like that tbh.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

Even if the gate is across the map the other 3 can still body block. Running noed or playing certain killers isnt a solution either. I should be able to counter a scenario as any killer not just the current meta.

If you have 4 Survivors left during EGC, you already lost the game.

    @Vetrathene said:

I know DS is an anti tunnel perk, but the opposite, the anti gen rush Perk (Ruin) got nerfed into the ground. Why does DS still get to be around, and on FOUR people instead of the ONE ruin that could be destroyed? Behavior still won't make it an actual level playing field as they need those sweet survivor monies. They are the equivalent of a terrible company that only cares about short term profits and is fine with high turnover.

Strange, Killers already complained about "Gen Rush" (aka Gens going not slow enough to help them to get their Kills aka the inability of applying Map Pressure) with old Ruin.

  • @Accullla said:

The same way the legion's button and the wraith's bone clapper are good - After the 10th use of the power, survivors just become desensitised towards the sound cues and let you catch them off guard

^ basically this. You can even grab (if Grabs work, of course...) Survivors with new Prayer Beads, because at some point they might just stick to a Gen. Not compareable to the potential of old Prayer Beads of course, but those were complete Bullshit.

Also it is quite nice that every time you use your Power, the Survivors might stop working on a Gen.

  • More stuff to pollute the Survivor Bloodweb? No.

  • Yeah, she is laughing. But this is not new at all, but since they changed her Lullaby, the full lullaby is played. Before it resets after she was in a chase so it was unlikely to hear the Laugh, which is really close to the end.

  • I havent had any problems with any Killer except Hillbilly so far (and Huntress, because of the missing Deviousness-Points).

I feel like I missed that part of the Q&A. That's kind of a bummer. I don't even run it that often, because it's easily countered by just waiting out the 60 seconds. Isn't that their whole defense against camping? It's easily countered by just doing gens? And then they take the one small means to counter tunneling from survivors.

    Just meh.

They said they are thinking about ways to change it so it cannot be abused (even tho, I think most of the Killers here are simply lying when they said they were not tunneling).

DS needs to be in the game, because sadly its the best strategy to eliminate a Survivor ASAP to have an easy game. And Killers will still do it, especially when there is no way of punishing that.

  • Sure those Killers are tunneling. People who claim to get hit by DS frequently tunnel.

The times I get hit by DS are very rare. Because there are actually two Survivors when an Unhook is happening. Going for the unhooked guy because he is the easier target and then complaining about getting hit by DS is pure BS.

  • Maybe it is time to stop with those "Killers are quitting"-Posts, because they are only used to fit a narrative. The queues for Survivors went long instantly after the Matchmaking-Change.

  • Infinite. I am Devotion 17. And just today I saw a Streamer (not watching him, but he was on the front Page for me because he played DBD), he was at Devotion 22.

  • @BlueFirebilly said:

Queue times are bad because there isn’t enough killers, they ideally would need 80% survivors and 20% killers but the killer percentage is much lower than that

And still I wait 5 minutes+ during the Day as Killer and get instant Lobby as Survivor.

Which only switches in the evening. Guess there is a shortage of Survivors.

  • Perk Tiers were fine with way less Perks. But currently...oof. I think someone needs 90 Bloodwebs or so as Survivor to get all Perks to Tier 3.

They tried something with the Perk Tiers by changing the functionality of the lower Tiers, but still. Especially since some Perks are already useful on Tier 1 and others only become really useful on TIer 3, e.g. Borrowed Time (the only thing which changes is the Mending Time, which does not matter as long as you are not going against Doctor and are in Madness 3) or Adrenaline, which are already useful on Tier 1, while something like Iron Will is not worth running when not Tier 3.

For Killers it is the same, something like Sloppy Butcher is already good at Tier 1, but Whispers is useless on Tier 1, since it basically tells you that the Survivors are on the same map as you.

Even tho, I dont know how to change it, because removing the Perk Tiers would drastically reduce the grind, but I guess it would be too less of a grind.

Personally, I would love to work for the Perks. Like, you can get Tier 1 in the Bloodwebs, but Tier 2 and Tier 3 either via Bloodwebs or via playing. Like, you got Tier 1 of BBQ, you can get Tier 2 either via the Bloodweb or by hooking 50 Survivors. Iron Will 1 in the Bloodweb, you get Iron Will 2 by staying injured for 60 minutes in total.

    Stuff like that.

  • Mostly my own mistake, including being too altruistic to get someone else out.

But I dont care about surviving that much. It only grinds my gears if that person I rescued (and died for) messes up and dies as well.

  • @Milo said:

    Didn't tires usually spawn there?

Yes, usually it should be surrounded by Tires. They are completely missing, this is also why it looks so super out of place.

  • 1000 games as Clown. If you are a masochist.

  • Nothing is purchaseable currently, but they said they will make them purchaseable after at least 6 months. Except for seasonal outfits (like the Halloween Nurse Skin), those will be in the Store when it fits.

  • Around 3900, and still not good at this game.

  • Basically only when I see the 4th Survivor when I down Number 3 or when I 100% want the 4th Survivor dead (for sandbagging his Teammates, doing unsafe Hook Rescues, being a dick...).

  • You mean, it is a problem that Hits which should not have connected in the first place do not hit anymore? A shocker.

I guess when they fix Billy, Killers get a major buff.

  • What exactly was your thought that this thread has any value? And since you did not have any thought put into it, why did you post it anyway?

  • From my experience, I have to be extra efficient on Gens when playing Solo. Either because when I am downed/hooked I see what my teammates are doing or because I 100% know that this guy on Resting Place will give us a 3 gen when I am not finishing my Gen earlier on the other side.

  • 15 minutes is quite long, did you try to cancel and start again? Because sometimes it can be bugged and tells you it is searching, but it is actually doing nothing.

It's literally the smallest gen speed nerf they could have possibly done and it also makes trials less RNG based and you dislike it? Is the extra 5 or so seconds on the gen really that bad?

I mean, I 100% understand, why they have done it and RNG is a big factor of it. Getting like 5 Skill Checks in 10 seconds is now only 4 seconds Bonus instead of 8 seconds, totally understandable.

But going for great Skill Checks was probably the most interesting thing on doing Gens. And they are not worth it anymore, because it (almost) only results in more BPs. And Objective is not a Category where it is unlikely to max the BPs out anyway.

(The change was good for the game, dont get me wrong. So "nonsense" was the wrong word for it. But I dislike it, mainly because it is not worth to go for Great Skill Checks anymore)

  • Well, Stake Out basically does the same as before.

But this 1% Bonus instead of 2% for Great Skill Checks is nonsense. Makes Gens even more boring now.
