Disconnects affect your teammates most. It affects everyone's opportunity for getting good emblems and it ruins the game.
People say you can DC if you're not having fun and others say DCing should be punishable.
The Devs need to find a solution catering to the two. Instead of a 5 min ban everytime you DC. Hit them hard with a 1 week ban if they disconnect in 5 matches close to eachother. Give them a warning that they cannot DC and that if they get reported for killing self on hook with the probe to DC label attached to the player. Get a ban. A couple of days a few hours a week even if it's happening again and again.
-
I approve. It's likely not gonna happen anytime soon unfortunately.
-
Sloppy butcher and decisive strike
Sloppy is just run by too many killers running nurses calling or just making a beeline towards a hook you just saved someone off.
Decisive strike is just infuriating because you could down someone without Tunnelling and it's a free escape if they are picked up or if not they unbreakable or get healed up. Just a uncounterable perk in endgame in particular.
Other perks which are close are Borrowed time, Adrenaline, noed and whispers.

Something Robotic.
Cyborg, Animatronic (plz no) or the terminator.
It's just a hunch I have.
-
It's a little worse than oh dear imo.
More like Oh oh! At this point.
Rank 10-20 killers up against red ranks.
-
I get hit far less often if I just stand still and charge at him before he hits me.
-
PhOni killer plz nerf
-
Sometimes I bait going into s locker to get the killer going to check for me.
-
I used to like hangman's trick but it's nothing really useful. There's hooks everywhere.
-
Hangman's trick could have a buff which applys the exhaustion effect on anyone sabotaging.
The exhaustion effect lasts 20/40/60 seconds after reaching 80% sabotage of hook and only starts recovering exhaustion once the hook is destroyed.
No cooldown.

I felt like editing the name incase it was deemed worthy to be taken down or something. I know people can't get enough of bubba's butt.

I didn't uninstall! I played in the 26TH
Consoles treat it as something that needs to uninstall chunks of the game to alter it. I know you didn't uninstall it's just an awkward download.

Oni for me. The guy literally tears out a survivors tounge then proceeds to smash their skull in. At least Myers just stabs them!
If you fly your ship precisely into the deathstar to destroy it, that's more evil than a whack from Oni.

No, I think it's just that dbd must be partially or fully uninstalled and installed from fresh with the update in it.
Happens on Xbox a lot too. It'll randomly have an update the size of the game.
-
Also the Grinch or Krampus.
-
I think the horror genre isn't really a good variety of options in terms of potential licences.
Mrs Trunchbull from Matilda is from a children's book and family friendly movie, she would fit dbd perfectly so you can see how non horror characters can appeal even more so than horror icons.
Also when it comes down to the rule set that the next killer must be a killer icon, you end up with a generic guy with machete who sneaks up to you and attacks you. It's incredibly overdone and kills variety itself.
I wish they'd clarify that this game isn't only for slashers because I always hear how other killers who aren't slashers are not welcome or just don't fit.
-
I have a feeling when they rework the chainsaw add ons, they nerf Billys a tiny bit but for bubba he'll just be nerfed even deeper into the ground. I hope not.

You say fiarly certain but you have no idea what's it going to be
Could be something completely different from the games you mentioned
They never mentioned MMR. They just said that they would monitor the skill and try to match best according to that
Any complaints or arguments we do about it before we know at least some details is completely and utterly pointless
Criticism of the new ranking system beforehand isn't necessarily bad. It just highlights the importance of getting it right.
How do you for example say a player is playing well enough to be climbing the ranking or failing so much and falling.
A clown with a 2k could be at risk of falling and a hillbilly who 3k could be climbing even though the better skilled player is the clown.
It's good to speculate just let the Devs know whether their ideas are the best.
We don't want them to blindly walk into a system which just makes things a whole lot worse whilst fixing nothing.
-
I read the patch notes for Xbox and it says the Springwood realm was temporarily removed due to problems with unbreakable totems and areas where Survivors can't be picked up.
It states that the Springwood realm maps are now ACTIVE.

I like the streamers but every single one of them is speculating
You can't talk about flaws in a system that you haven't seen yet. We literally know nothing of it.
In terms of MMR based ranking or whatever it is, I'm fairly certain it's the way other games like overwatch, Rainbow 6 and rocket League do rank.
Problem is what is determined as a deserved increase in skill or worthy decrease in skill level.
If I 4k too quickly to gain MMR or suicide on hook which should be something that negatively impacts MMR I want to know how your actions in game will be interpreted by the Devs in the new system.
-
It's normal after every small patch on Console.
-
Maybe the bloodweb derps out and thinks it's still a common add ons meaning it can spawn on the first row.
I wonder if it works on other killers with add ons which were common but now rarer.
-
Omg that's as blantently obvious as hacking can get. You're going to jail for a very long time.

I
DId you play then?
DS literally made chases early game last minutes, even with the worst survivor. The only counter is dribbling and enduring, which both of them wasted time either way.
Old DS is much better, and if you wanna try and disprove me, please act older then a 6 year old and give me a counter argument.
So because I said you were wrong... I'm acting like a 6 year old. Maybe stop gagging for an argument and accept that I disagree with the point you made.
This thread isn't about decisive strike, it's about the stance and perception of the Devs by the playerbase.
I'm not gonna give you my reasoning behind disagreeing with you because it's obvious if you look at everyone else's views. What I will say is that how can you think the killer being able to dribble a Survivor is a Survivor buff to ds? Dribbling was a way to get around ds, and now you have to leave them on the floor do do whatever.

Old DS was 10x stronger. The only buff it received was the dribble
WRONG

Maybe BHVR could give an option to hide username for players wanting privacy. The name wouldn't show it'll just show "Feng Min" or whoever you're playing in the status bar.
-
I'm purple rank killer and I get matched within 20 seconds on Xbox. I always end up Vs red rank Survivors even when I was only rank 13 a few weeks ago.
Survivor though is more like 7+ mins.
-
I think this is a really good but very minor change to nullifying the negatives of being animation locked as killer.
-
Too late....and....... he's gone.
-
They don't want to increase gen times or add a second objective in the near future. McClean said so in the recent dev stream. It did catch a lot of people by surprise hearing that they don't want to do any gameplay balancing but instead give some attention to less useful survivor perks and a few killer ones too.
-
Self care is the ultimate casual solo survival perk. I used to run it all the time until a few months ago when I just thought how boring and penalising it is to my teammates.
Getting used to equipping self care is a really bad habit and 1 heal through self care is over half a gen. Just take resilience and work on a gen then that's worth being hooked in itself.

killer mains harassing the OP when all they said was that they personally find it more annoying. they didnt say he was OP, they didnt say anything like that at all.
I think people just don't read when they have frustration to get out.
I didn't mention whether I was a killer or survivor main so people could have assumed I was on a particular side complaining about new doc.
As you said though, my point was about comparing the old doc and the new doc in terms of how annoying they are to play as and against.
I didn't find him very annoying before but now he's a little more annoying playing against doc. Playing as doc is more straightforward because everything is just set out easier to use.
-
What is the total amount of Moris in all killers collective inventory?
-
I've been using Ruin, Sloppy Butcher (Franklins iif 2+ items), Whispers and Blood Echo.
I've hardly ever played Billy until now. I was rank 12 killer after not playing for a while. Over the last 2 weeks I've got myself to rank 6 being put up against really good red ranks and I've been playing really well and really freaking fair too.
-
Ferocious Beating is a killer perk that no-one else runs. It's really good because survivors never expect it. I thought it sounded so basic but it's got such a high skill margin.
-
Even if borrowed time was token based it would be an improvement. Hook farming and guaranteed safe unhooks everytime could be made more skill based.
Maybe have it work if the killer has a line of sight with the hooked survivor within its otherwise terror radius (if they weren't oblivious) so a insideous bubba would still proc borrowed time as long as there is line of sight with the hooked survivor. This would still make basement bubba possible just that you can't facecamp or borrowed time will always activate if the user has tokens.
Gain 1 token for every 20 seconds someone is on a hook. Max tokens 3
-
It's because it's coming up with a lot of force.
-
In terms of detection maybe a detection bubble appears on screen for a survivor once you start breaking him. Continue centering your screen inside the bubble to burst him out of stealth.
-
Imagine if hangman's trick let you hook 2 survivors on the same hook.
-
When you killer mains get one perk reworked you cry, I want one small change and you say I need to get gud. @Bigbob
-
Something which kinda annoyed me with the dev stream going on now is that when asked whether gen times or a new secondary objective need to be introduced they said that "no-one wants to spend more time holding M1" and "Secondary Objectives are not on the table anytime soon but maybe way down the line they might be". Not direct quotes but something very close to this.
Ethan (Dev) stated that "within the first 2 minutes 2 gens should be expected to be done" but in a lot of matches there are already at least 3 gens done. Killers which require set up would be down 2 gens.
I feel like the Devs have the idea this is a slow paced game when it's not. Survivors want to do gens as soon as they can. Killer is running around like crazy doing his stuff Totems are not a second objective because they don't matter if the killer doesn't have noed.

It means I like the game. I've enjoyed it since day one back when they had infinite loops and a million pallets. It's probably my favorite video game of all time, next to Mario Kart and Road Rash. People are just overreacting, more so than ever, mostly because they don't understand what is happening. Also, people have never really handled change very well. I still remember the outcry about Freddy from survivors and then the outcry by Killers when they gimped him a week later. I still remember the HUGE outcry about the DS change only to see every survivor still bringing it today. I can't keep even up with how many "Killer Strikes" (lol) there have been. 5? 6?
People just take this game way to seriously like it's politics or something, when they should just be having fun. The devs had to destroy self-care to force survivors to bring something else and they are now doing the same to killers with Ruin. Try different killers, new perks, or just go in and enjoy the game for god's sake. Who cares if they "gen rush" and escape? You still got to play and make points. Just move on to the next match, OR if you really, REALLY aren't enjoying the game... find a new game.
It's not like the game is going to stay in its current state forever, they will bring more changes with each patch. There was a point where killers were getting "special treatment" and now it's survivors. The game is probably a nightmare to balance while keeping new players. They have us. Sure, some of us veterans may stop playing from time to time and/or move on, but if the game is too brutal for new people that haven't got a clue, the game is good as dead.
I know this first hand as I've tried to get many of my friends to play and they just get trampled by more experienced players and never touch it again. They probably saw a lot of this after the Stranger Things update. The devs have more info than you'll ever know. I'm sure they know some of the changes will be brutal, but good in the long run. Again, think about how much blowback they got from changing DS? Now, almost every survivor that complained uses it. They even abuse it.
But yeah, it's still my fav game and I think it's only gotten better. It's not perfect, but what game is?
People still have a right to complain if they see the game going in the wrong direction. I agree people jump the gun so quickly when hearing about things getting nerfed or buffed.
When you frustrate your playerbase it pushes players futher away. It puts people off and will eventually lead to people going elsewhere if they're not having fun anymore. It will happen when new rival games come out. It's upto BHVR to not come across so one-sided and take up a neutral role which they desperately need.
It's important to acknowledge how much of a success dbd is however a lot of the killer/survivor strikes stem upon wanting the game to remain great.
In terms of the ruin change, I feel like there are a lot of people thinking change is bad and another lot thinking the timing of the change is bad.
Since dedicated servers have been around I feel like the Devs have the means to compile all sorts of data but they don't really know what it means entirely.
In the recent dev stream they referenced that lithe was used more than the meta red rank survivor perks therefore they're not touching them. A lot of people were thinking "compare the meta perks to the survival rates and not just the usage"
Not Queen did state that the Devs are always learning day to day at what is best for the game. The Devs aren't psychics or have a magic wand however they should always monitor player satisfaction.
-
The Devs have one rule, if you're gonna complain at least be constructive about it.
Not only was that not criticism it was a pointless insult to make.

I thought the 4 stack of Survivors with toolboxes were gen rushers so I put on Franklins and they were doing hooks. I still hit them.
-
I don't know what they did to doc but he's still shocking.
-
To be fair I think you got off lightly. I go up against red ranks as a rank 11. I've been climbing though and I'm now rank 7. Just try not to think about it, protect 3 close gens as a priority and pick away at the survivors. If a survivor is looking to loop you on a really safe loop just look for someone else.

actually other way around, I dont use anything :P
Every item in this game is wasted on me, I dont use those ever, not a single one.
All I take if I can are perks and bloodpoint increasing offerings, thats it.
Having items which are situationally useful but not risk the killer tunnel the person down is good. I always use the Bloodpoint offerings and nothing else. I sometimes take a basic item but anything valuable I like to collect.
If glowsticks were a thing I would collect a ton of them but still use them to make my play style have more strategy towards it.
