To understand the blendette you must become the blendette
Play blendette and get a feel of the stealthing habits you pick up.

Dedicated servers were faultless in the vast majority of green ping Lobbys. A couple of latency hits but since they've been deactivated I've seen some of the worst P2P connections imaginable.
Console optimization has taken a drastic backwards step on doc on certain maps. I feel sorry for anyone in a match playing as or against doc if they happen to lag, rubberband and freeze in place constantly. It might have been a bug but it happened to everyone in the match numourous times with docs

I think the perception from Survivors when killers are playing tough to get the 3k or 4k is seen as sweaty and desperate.
It's the emblem system which forces killers to play really tough and desperate.
I always hear that a 2k is a draw. Well I don't think it is, the emblem system in particular could end up being a disgraceful defeat yet you played really well. You could get 0k and hook everyone twice each meaning you didn't even come close.
The scoring system doesn't mean anything because there are so many ideas of what a win/draw is.
Scoring in terms of pipping still needs a lot of work imo.

Why is the pig so weak?
Because she's turned vegan and she's not getting enough protein in her diet.
-
I feel like when the Devs eventually come out and say "Right guys we're disabling the servers" everyone will be cheering. Not because they want the game to end, but because they can't stand the dedicated servers themselves.
It's quite daunting wondering what BHVR will do once dbd actually becomes obsolete and not around anymore.
I don't know how business works too well but I hope BHVR either team up with another game business place thingy or do what From Software did with Bloodborne and sell the dbd IP to a big games company (Sony) while continuing to work within the genre on a separate game altogether.
I don't see Dbd as a game that will just die. I think it'll end up left not updated for a while then BAM DBD is relaunched, revamped so everything is better and more polished than before with all sorts of new stuff added. Licences roll onto the new relaunch.
This is based on the assumption another games aren't gonna come and steal chunks of the playerbase each time.

Apparently from these comments being within 32m of a survivor is a facecamp. Would be interesting to know how these perks would affect k/d ratio if they didn't activate once end game starts.
-
-
It will change but I think if they touch it too much it could suddenly be the dead perk it was before.
I wonder if it would be fine if the survivors were aware of the killer using hangman's trick. An icon which pops up on the screen maybe.
-
I always get a false sense of safety Vs a Freddy. He brings out the potato in me and especially my random teammates.
-
It will probably be a set of 3 interchangeable pieces like other cosmetics. There's a very small chance it'll just be a full outfit which is classed as 1 cosmetic.
-
And the winner is... Nobody, I'm pretty sure.
Well actually we all tied so we technically were all the closest to being right.
-
If you have an emergency...why not just leave the game open in the background while you deal with it.
-
Imagine if you lost that as Survivor. You would have been so bad.
-
Thinks are unbalanced on both sides, let's just add another game mode then continue complaining about it.
-
I think The third seal should disguise itself as a dull totem for inflicted Survivors.

it's an irish zombie corpse trying to get some survivor flesh
I hope not.

It's either a Werewolf (30%) or a prisoner who swings his metal ball around over his head (65%) a 5% chance it's something completely unrelated to the prison/chain theme teased.
-
-
It's Rasputia the Devs already confirmed it
-
I respect killers who use non meta perks.
Hangman's trick, unrelenting, rancor, blood echo, bloodhound, stridor, mad grit. Anything which makes you go "oooooooouuuhhhh!" And you realise he likely doesn't have BBQ Noed or something frustrating.
-
The best practice is getting the killers attention early on with a lot of pallets to mess around with. Before you know it you'll see when good killers drop chase because they'll know you can probably loop quite well.
-
Never start looping at a pallet. Be in the middle of the loop, force the killer to go left (pallet) or right to force you towards the pallet. Make as much time of every loop that you can.
-
I can just imagine the four legion characters running to you to give you a hug. When they finally get to you, you just DC.
-
I think as long as you compliment Bubba's family he won't chainsaw you when you approach him. He only hurts to protect his family so as long as you don't call his mum a "Crazy Woman" like one person did in the recent movie then you're fine.

You can all wish for diversity, but the reality is different. Cute girls sells more. :/
I like her backstory tho, I related to parts of it, especially the childhood.
The problem with your comment here. BHVR don't want to risk adding a Survivor which isn't young and attractive. You can't say "cute girls sell more" because it's simply untrue and unproven.
Surely if there are already 4 or 5 'cute girls' in the game, there's no reason to have another one.
I dislike the new characters backstory. Like someone else in this thread said, it sounds very politically fuelled, an immigrant with dual nationality, dad's died basically mistreated by everyone and now she's determined to show the world her side of the story.
It's literally so boring. It just feels like the more bad things you describe about the character the more of an identity and personality they have. It's not true.
Feels like a budget Jane that's incredibly generic and samey.
I hope I'm wrong.
-
I'm at 28 or something like that. I expect to play a lot more if I like the next chapter. If not then I'll probably only get to tier 50 or something. I refuse to buy the pass until I've finished the rift.
-
Rasputia Larimore Survivor When.
Also when it comes to a licensed older Survivor, I personally think the older versions of Arnold Schwarzenegger from the terminator movies would go well towards wider representation to the game. I mean at some point Terminator would be a valid option for a chapter and the license holders like giving their license away to other game companies. But this isn't about licences, just stating this as an example.
The only Old characters are Ash and then I have no idea how close Jeff is but he's the second most diverse Survivor and that's only because he has a big long beard and he seems into heavy metal which seems very 80s of him.
-
Maybe this means that the next licenced Survivor is more likely to be a man.
Alan Wake, John Connor, Arnie the good terminator man, Dwayne Johnson (Scorpion king), Issac from dead space, Indiana Jones, Rick from the mummy etc. Idk a lot of possibilities though.
-
Just do the gems. Jeez
-
I want it too but... I don't think they will even though they should.

I know right? Where's our blonde bimbo that moans when she gets hooked?
When is David Hasselhoff going to become a killer and chase people down to the Baywatch theme? I need answers.
Also a cold shower.
Mis quoted the top comment here.
In reply to Heartbound. Why do we only have Survivors who think there's an app to get off the hook?
Older Survivors wouldn't be a bad idea for the game. People of any age can have arthritis or whatever. Characters have begun to lose their uniqueness recently and a lot of us aren't anywhere near sold by the backstory.
I thought BHVR were ramping up the lore but it just feels the exact same over and over again recycled to sell the "youthful and good looking" survivors.
Where is Grandma Dierdre or any other old characters, original or licenced it has been getting really boring getting the same style over and over again.
-
She looks like Meg, Nea and Kate put together. Very samey from what I've seen.
-
There is definitely an issue with latency between killer and Survivor which is very frustrating even on matches with 70ms ping.
Just went up against a demogorgan who hit me from a stupid long distance. It's very frustrating and eventhough the matches are somewhat smooth the latency different kills the matches tempo.
-
Fine for me. Apart from the odd few 170+ Lobbys I've been getting now and then.
Most of my Lobbys have been 50-120ms.
Not terrible but still could use a bit of work.
-
Survivors will disconnect when the killer decides to search lockers. Not every player is a cry baby. No-one apart from the negative IQ survivors will deem breakable walls a valid reason to quit. I say if they want to DC then good.

Now, before you grab your pitchforks, I'm not calling Plague overpowered. I don't think anyone in their right mind would ever call Plague anything other than low-to-mid C tier on her absolute best days. But being a weak Killer does not excuse the fact that Plague is, frankly, one of the worst power designs in the entire game—and this upcoming change puts a major highlight on that, I feel.
Here's the issue I have with Plague. If she vomits on you and you get sick, it doesn't really do much. Surviving while sick is hardly different from surviving while normally injured, with the exception that you can neither heal nor be stealthy—
And there's my problem. Being sick all but removes two mechanics from the game. You literally CANNOT heal by conventional means against a Plague, and stealth is just about deleted because no matter what you do, you will be constantly broadcasting your location to her if you try to sneak around her, and you leave a trail of infected objects if you try to sneak away from her. Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Quick and Quiet, Fixated, literally any healing Perk in the entire game—these are all Perks that are, no exaggeration, completely useless against the Plague.
Of course, the meta is looping and you can easily loop while injured. But there are plenty of players who DON'T like the meta. They like to be stealthy. They like to heal themselves and others. They like to explore different avenues of play that aren't just "me run around pallet, me rush gen with adrenaline". But if they just so happen to go against a Plague? Too bad, buckaroo, your build and playstyle literally do not exist anymore.
This is what makes Plague so unfun to go against for me, and is why I think she's badly designed. She encourages the boring, overpowered Survivor meta because two of the most popular off-meta playstyles are completely disabled against her. It's not strong at all, because they're off-meta playstyles, but she just... she just disables them. Completely disables them.
And if you want it back? If you want the opportunity to heal? If you want to be stealthy? Well, then you have to give her one of the strongest, most braindead anti-loop abilities in the entire game, and even then she can take away all of your stealth and healing again with the mere press of the M2 button in your general direction.
I think that this is a terrible set of decisions. You either sacrifice your off-meta build in exchange for making Plague the most M1 Killer in the entire game, or you take back your off-meta build for a fleeting instance in exchange for temporarily making her one of the strongest chasers in the entire game. The imbalance between choosing to be sick or choosing to give Plague her Corrupt Purge is so poorly weighted, and neither option is anything short of infuriatingly annoying. You should never cleanse against a Plague because she is a pathetic, sobbing mess of a Killer without Corrupt Purge, but then you have two entire game mechanics literally deleted from the game for the rest of the match. It's no fun for anyone involved.
And then to top it all off, with the upcoming change that gives Plague a basekit pool already corrupted, you don't even get to make that choice until she's already expunged her Corrupt Purge. No strategy involved on your part. No good to come out of your actions. You either keep your healing and stealth and give Plague her bastardized lovechild of Huntress and Bubba, or you get rid of your healing and stealth... and give Plague her bastardized lovechild of Huntress and Bubba. Every single choice is a terrible one.
I think this new change is a perfect example of Plague's terrible game design. Survivors were given a choice of what to do against her, and the choice was always terribly obvious because one option made Plague insanely strong while the other made her insanely weak. But in exchange for making her weak, genrushing without healing and hugging loops all game goes from the M.E.T.A., the most effective tactic available to the O.E.T.A., the only effective tactic available. Now, with this upcoming change, until Plague uses her Corrupt, that choice is made for them. Whether or not they choose to turn the M.E.T.A. into the O.E.T.A., they still have to deal with that braindead chase power, even if only once in the match—and with the right build (pronounced "Infectious Fright"), that one time could be all the Plague needs.
In short: I think the Plague is terribly designed and in dire need of a rework, if not to her power, then to the effects of the different types of vomit, and this new change exemplifies that. I think being sick should be significantly more of a threat than just removing two non-meta playstyles from the game, and Corrupt shouldn't be nearly as strong as it is. The two should be more in-line with each other in terms of how powerful they are so that the decision of whether or not to cleanse isn't so painfully and utterly obvious as it is right now, but at the same time, the Plague shouldn't be given the opportunity to almost break the game for people who don't like to sweat the meta with a mere press of the M2 button. Being sick should do something like directly affect your ability to loop with something like slower vaulting speed or making it more difficult to move in a straight line while running, or hamper your ability to do the objective with substantially difficult skill checks or something of the sort. Something the meta actually gives one about. Meanwhile, Corrupt shouldn't be nearly as powerful and cheesy as it is. The range and amount of the vomit should be cut back to a point where it gives Plague an edge in loops rather than an iron fist. She should be able to punish people for messing up loops with it, not able to punish people for being in her line-of-sight.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
I'm gonna say this before the plague mains get here.
HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE MOMMY SHE BAE AS MCDONALD'S CHICKEN NUGGETS.

I just wonder if each killer will have a brute force the wall down animation or whether the entity will just rupture the wall with its tentacles or something. I just hope that a stealth killers stealth (T1 Myers) doesn't lose out on this surprise mechanic... mechanic.
-
My useless teammates have been my main problem. They keep being stealthy rather than working on gens. With killers bringing Moris there's literally nothing you can do to get a good starting indication of how good the servers are.
Third match in and I just another green ping.
Shame that a lot of killers I'm going up against are being so dirty and teammates not cooperating one bit.
-
Dbd to me seems more about making the most with the hand you have. If breakable walls are a new card for killers it's only going to reduce killer frustration and lead to a better environment for both roles. A new layer of gameplay being introduced which will probably keep you on your toes for a while.
-
I think the first disconnect offense should mean BHVR call your parents and suggest they ground you for serious breaches of Toxicity and Sabotage of the highest order.
On second offense McCote should upload skynet.
Stop DCing, Save Humanity.

My problem with Hawkins is that when you exclude the gen on top and gen in portal room the only active parts of the map are the two or 3 corridors with the interlocking rooms between them.
It's like ordering pizza scraping off the toppings and using the dough as a pillow. It just makes no logical sense.

Just look at almost every post/thread title. Literally "Nerf this....Buff that...Get rid of..." Almost every post. It's sickening and laughable at the same time. Devs must think every DBD gamer has serious personal issues. Lol
If I could downvote your comment just now I would but I don't want to sicken you.

Is this due to the storm that's currently waging on in England or is it some hidden voodoo magic that messes with dedicated servers?
Look out your window. If you can see an assortment of trees, dogs and houses whizzing past then it's probably the storm and not Brexit.

Peanits stated in another post prior to the stream that it had nothing to do with the new chapter.
I didn't research everything about every comment to do with the surprise. I'm just saying I had thought it to be much more elaborate than a small tweak to trapper.
I'm not complaining I'm just stating my opinion like the thread asks.

How is saying there's a small surprise overhyping it?
I heard it was "another surprise" similar to the hype surrounding the new chapter.
I would say that is overhyping it. Not like it matters, I'm just giving it a rating.
-
2/10 surprise
One small QoL adjustment extremely overhyped as a surprise.
It's welcome but it's like hearing that totems will break louder or something which doesn't really matter too much.
