  • Congrats to the lucky winners. Yeehaaaaa

Thank you , kind forumer. <3

My gt is EmpireWinner, Thank you!

Misread your name as Epic Weiner big oof.

  • 32k concurrent players on Steam.

If everyone is entitled to 2 matches to disconnect from without consequence, you enable at least 64k matches to be ruined by disconnects on Steam alone. That's 64k in a single day too.

  • My Xbox name is AshleyWB

If I don't win it's rigged. Also good luck to whoever wins, and yourself for being so generous.

  • Anyone ever played bomberman.

Once the time is up giant square blocks drop along the perimeter of the map making the map a lot smaller. Everything is double speed, player movement and repair times. All the killer should have to do is open pull a switch to activate end game.

Honestly opening an exit seems very anti killer if the Survivor is just hiding for hours. Killers should imo have the power to just start end game without leaving a gate fully open.

  • @Quol said:

Does this mean we should have the lower tier killers buffed so they are viable? No let's nerf the over achievers.

If it's a 4 v 1 game I can't believe they haven't done something to make Survivors overachieving by completing to many gens (1.2) much harder like they did when killers are given an opportunity to Kill a few more when Survivors make mistakes and actually face consequences for it.

I'm excited to torment some deathslingers before I end up ripping my eyes out from having to witness all gens pop in the first 2 mins and have every hook I go to destroyed.

  • Mr Blobby

Everyone treats killers like the harmless angel Mr Blobby is. When they find out they are messing with the antichrist himself, Mr Blobby is bad, Mr Blobby is mean.

Never underestimate killers and make it easy for them to getcha because Mr Blobby will and he ain't getting nerfed.

  • Was prepared last week. I've had my interest swooped away by slay the Spire, it's so addicting. SlinkyDaddy will have to wait.

  • The waiting around is exactly the reason why I'm playing slay the Spire right now and not dbd.

  • I don't think the battlepass is extremely grindy, it is for sure really grindy but the grind depends on how much you are stuck waiting to get into Lobbys and loaded into games.

In simple terms 70hours playing dbd is equivalent to about 15 hours of matches if you add in the time you are left to wait, gaining no xp for playing the game.

  • Clown needs a rework most but I want Leatherface to get one a lot more.

  • Slender

The stealth killer that draws power from being notices and drawing attention. THE SJW would be his name. Hehehe.

Either Slender or something Mrs Trunchbull-esce

  • Kinda Krew here

People say different departments focus on different things. I get tired of that reason or excuse for things not happening the right way.

Longstanding game issues still remain in the game no matter how much you sugar coat it with new features like breakable walls or a new selection of perks.

The cosmetics can still pump out but it's what's going on elsewhere which actually matters towards the game health.

Cosmetics to me are just a boost in funds to allow for more resources to be available to fix whatever needs it.

I just think "What am I gonna experience when I play a few matches of dbd?" Unfair matchmaking which have been forever broken, emblem system which reward you for being bad and punish efficiency, meta perks (primarily Survivor perks) are still broken as heck (DS, BT, Unbreakable, OoO, Adrenaline etc.) and then there's the gen times. Very frustrating and has been for a while.

  • Why should killers be the only side punished for 'playing bad' which is usually out of control to them in the first place.

Survivors can play as bad as they like and will always have a decent chance of survival or contributing to the team in some way. Don't take the only thing killers have to play cheaply away.

  • Pajama Dwight or Uninstall

  • Not Again... - Pallet Stun the killer whilst injured 5 times.

Resourceful Recognition - Pick up 2 dropped pallets in a single match using Any Means Necessary.

ComboBreak - Destroy 5 pallets within 30 seconds.

Lifesaver - Unhook a survivor that's within 3 seconds of dying on the hook.

Come with me - Carry Survivors a total of 100m.

Death Death Revolution - Kill 2 survivors within the space of 20 seconds. (If Mori from the end of the first animation to the start of the next mori animation) or (from the point of a confirmed death hook rather than when the death animation completes)

A Staged Crime - As Jane complete 30 seconds of cooperative actions with another Survivor.

Medicinal Junkie - Loot 4 medkits in chests.

Deathwish - Survive for 10 total minutes with a broken key.

Time to Move! - As Bill finish Mending deep wounds twice in a single match.

Fukin ad enuff - As David King Flashlight blind killers for a total of 7 seconds.

Vigil-ante - Escape using the perk Vigil or Up the Ante.

Belly of the Beast - Unhook a Survivor in the basement 3 times.

Symphony of Agony - Have aftercare active for a total of 10 minutes.

Sketchy Picture - Consume a total of 6 Distortion tokens.

Alot of these sound great, some do seem too challenging but great work on your list.

Thanks. I honestly would rather have one of my tougher ones than one of the tedious 'attain at least a gold emblem in chaser/devout 5 times'.

I don't mind a little difficulty as long as you can alter your build to take on a different playstyle to get them done.

I'm not a fan of all the challenges being 'escape as this character using this perk'

I've thought of a few more decent challenges so I might do a second list.

  • Some say it's better to release a functioning dlc patch than a broken one.

I say to make the hype starve one extra week is frustrating and extremely irritating to those of us who were getting ready for the usual pattern of a release today hearing nothing of the new extra week delay to fix more bugs.

Once you make people publicly aware of the new content, from that point the hype will come but then trickle away over time. It's been 2 weeks and another week has me questioning whether I should wait around for it at all.

  • I'm a red rank Survivor now but 6 months ago I played extremely casual and floated between ranks 4-8.

I think a lot of people are ignoring the fact that there are probably way more red rank Survivors now than probably ever before.

I did used to play more killer but I tend to play far more Survivor unless I'm playing really badly like now, I've been playing killer and getting tested by red ranks.

  • One for you - Drop an Item which another survivor escapes with.

Hands off - Use Franklins Demise to make the same survivor drop 2 items in a single match.

Over and out - Escape a chase 3 times using dance with me or quick and quiet

No time to die - Survive until the exit gates are powered 5 times.

Don't wanna miss a Feng - Don't miss a single skill check and escape 3 times using the perk Technician.

Fault Regression - Cause survivors to miss 5 skill checks in a single game.

Slow and steady - Hit 30 good skill checks.

A Safe Place - Hide in a locker to block your aura being read 4 times in a single match.

Totem Patrol - Using Detectives Hunch destroy 3 totems in a single match.

Over here - Use a map with a glass bead to mark a generator which you finish to other survivors 2 times in a single match.

No pain No gain - Achieve max stacks of autodidact 3 times.

Pallet resistance - Use Enduring and be stunned 10 times.

DESTROY! - Destroy 8 pallets or breakable walls with your secondary attack (chainsaw, shred, Oni smash etc.) In a single match.

Silent but deadly - Hit a survivor shortly after coming out of undetectable 15 times.

Cold Shoulder - Accidentally sandbag a teammate 8 times in a single match

    Here's one I just had.

I was rank 8 and went up against high red ranks with Extremely crutch and broken perks.

I wouldn't have minded if they didn't try to troll so much with their clicky flashlights, tea bagging and infinite abuse.

Apparently I'm really bad as killer because I played a match as legion and couldn't kill everyone in a few seconds.

Because they got beat they said I was lagswitching. They spammed me party invites for about 10 minutes nonstop until I finally blocked them. Not to mention the expected "trash talk" telling me I'm a baby killer, I got looped for days, I'm bad, I'm dirty etc.

This is one of the many reasons why Xbox needs dedicated servers back up. So pieces of work like this would have no excuse, no valid accusation of cheating to throw at whoever beats them.

I was that mad I only gave 1/5 on 'Did you have fun?' I was fuming. I won even with relatively bad perks though, says a lot about red rank survivors.

  • Single kicking a breakable wall would feel a lot more satisfying imo.

  • I'm only not bored because I'm preparing for the new chapter to release.

Gotta get 1 million Bloodpoints and make sure every other killer has BBQ and T3 ruin unlocked.

  • Bubba's worst map is by far Gas Heaven. He always gets distracted and tries to buy stuff in the petrol station. I don't blame him, it's right by his home.

  • To me the definition of a dead game isn't a game which pulls nearly 30k concurrent players on Steam alone

I think the health of the game is pretty stable, there's a distinct pattern of better figures on dlc launches and a slight dip during windows of nothing.

While I agree people don't really want to play killer so much anymore, including myself. I don't think it's something which will lead to the game dying. We've had poop matchmaking times constantly since release on PS4 especially and after all that the game has found success.

The 30k+ concurrent players is BHVRS safety net and they won't have to make drastic changes unless these figures took an alarming turn which they're not. A lot of killers are just playing Survivor or more casually at lower ranks because they can't be bothered ranking up.

  • P2P matchmaking since their removal has been atrocious.

Dedicated servers works well enough for me and it makes others stop DCing.

Also, while we're at it, where exactly does it say that "dead hard" means "extremely tough/strong?" When I look it up on Google, I just get the Dead By Daylight perk.

Dead hard is a term used by David Kings people (Mancunians). I use the term dead hard in everyday life to state how tough something is.

That is what the meaning of dead hard is. BHVR didn't just invent the word themselves.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131849#Comment_1131849

Because the Killers are powered by the Entity. That's also why they can hear a Survivor leap over a window from across the map.

    How does that sound logical?

How does Feng Min hear and see the killer break a pallet for 5 seconds from across the map? It's a game. You can't expect everything to because "the entity said so"

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131843#Comment_1131843

Or maybe just make Dead Hard work if the issue is that it's bugged. :P

The only way dead hard can be fixed is if they paid a gazzillion dollars for Irridescent dedicated servers. You know that ain't happening.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131837#Comment_1131837

Simplistic? Yes. Logical? Not to me. You are just taking an extra long step forward.

If you are a dead hard man using dead hard as a perk, you are hard enough to break a breakable wall no matter how hard it is. Dead hard does mean "Extremely Tough/Strong"

Killers can kick walls down, why can't a dead hard person?

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131833#Comment_1131833

Do you think Dead Hard is a boring that has no use?

Well I hear all the time that dead hard never works. So maybe if you repurpose dead hard to give it another use to make up for it being do broken it'll be a nice compromise to keep it an attractive perk to use.

Destroying breakable walls is nothing, it would never change the flow of the game. Just maybe add a layer of doubt which would make chases a little more exciting if you happen to have a person with dead hard and a breakable wall.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131829#Comment_1131829

At that point, why not let the Survivor stun the Killer if they can bust down a wall?

Well that could work but keeping perks simplistic is important so people can understand them. I think having dead hard let you destroy breakable walls is still logical and simplistic.

  • @TAG said:

I think the flavor of Dead Hard is that you are resilient to pain, not that you can hulk through anything. :P

If you start bringing in "this is what this perk means" then you end up with boring perks which have no use because they don't make perfect sense. Take deja vu for example, you can guarantee that it was a perk based on the idea that a Survivor was like "omg I remember I saw a gen here onetime". Not a fun perk at all and logic shouldn't determine all aspects of all perks.

  • Another example could be so that shock therapy isn't as easy to aim on Survivors who can now go through the wall rather than along the usual path in a straight line.

Bubba's chainsaw could hit the wall as he's right about to get you. If it was just a straight line he would get you

Myers stalking could be slightly counted by dead Harding through a wall breaking line of sight, same for GhostFace and the ranged killers like Huntress, plague and Deathslinger.

Hillbilly is strongest when the Survivor is running in one direction, if the Survivor could dead hard through a wall it would be less predictable and a hindrance to the killer landing the chainsaw.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    ...why? At all?

There could be a bear trap at a pallet and dead Harding through the wall could give you another option which could enable you to change up your loop and not have to dead hard through the trap.

I think it would be a fun little change.

  • Scarecrow Hillbilly

Punk Hillbilly (long hair, electric guitar)

David king with slightly longer hair.

  • Pajama Dwight, Cowboy Hag and something fun for Jake, I think Jake has terrible outfits for the amount he has.

    @Dwight_Fairfield

This. over 23,000 people play the game but apparently he speaks for all of them, when only maybe 3k of those 23k visit the forums. lol

You can't expect the majority of the playerbase to share your opinion just because they don't bother commenting on the forums. Quite a big chunk of players including me think killers are second in priority all the time. Killer bugs never get fixed while Survivor bugs must be fixed as soon as possible.

You labeling someone's opinion as not important because it somehow doesn't speak for any of the playerbase is exactly what is wrong with people's attitude.

No mother means you are always one hit down, so let’s say you use Dead Hard to avoid one swing... that means the killer had to swing twice to down you.

Now how many times do they have to swing to down anyone else, that’s right twice. And the burst from that first hit gives you more distance that DH will, so David has to be the worst his perk is actually a hinderance. I would rather play me as a survivor with No perks.

I think you're right although I think people have sympathy for people running no mither and there's a good chance the killer will just avoid you in favour of other survivors just to be a good sport. Desperate killers won't though.

Also no mither makes me play more passively and stealthy, being detected is my biggest problem and even when I am I would have contributed to the team.

  • No mither has the use of being in the injured state which activates injured only perks.

When it comes to who has the worst perks I think you have to look at who's perks are the most useless and meaningless. Imo it has to be Ace with Ash being a close second.

  • I fear he'll be like Oni. Practically unplayable meaning I'll end up not even playing him.

Huntresses aiming is so bad I have to rely on movement rather than aiming to hit shots to the right or left.

  • Peanits voted yes, therefore it's probably -30% more likely.

I can imagine a lasso being wrapped around the hags hand. The only question left unanswered is whether The Hag is a Sheriff or not?

  • Survivors have items. Keys, toolboxes, med kits, flashlights. Killers just have their power.

  • I agree that dbd is very Survivor sided but I don't think balance makes the game much more fun. A few things like iri head can be annoying but I can easily use it myself so it's not so bad.

  • I watched the video earlier. I can't remember it exactly but I do remember the Survivors hook humping and playing really weirdly altuistic.

Otz played one of the most weak combination of killer add-ons and perks but he faced a poor team of Survivors who successfully used the second chance perks but played really poorly for most of the match. Otz had to play serious for moments in the match because of the fact the mistakes made by the Survivors were not mechanically punished.

  • I know the point of this thread has good intentions. It just feels like you're saying "Gen times are not a problem because I have some tasty tasty cake for you"

Thanks for the free cake 🍰 but gen times are still an issue.

  • The red stain should be dimmed by about 40%. Removing it will just make people mad as they didn't know the killer were right behind them.

Also red stain through wall should be invisible.

I wonder if they can create a perk which will increase or reduce red stain intensity. I know beast of prey disables it but I can imagine a killer equivalent of poised being a thing where it removes the red stain for 30 seconds everytime a gen is completed.

  • Since dedicated servers have been disabled on Xbox. I've had at least 1 DC in 4/5 matches. I would say that I'm just unlucky but this is normal and why dedicated servers is needed regardless.
