Yes the story leaks really have ruined both games. Kappa

While I would still say dbd is on the upwards trend I think it's also important to remember that people are in lockdown stuck at home and whatever figures you see now are not the normal amount.
I want dbd to be as successful as possible. I also want them to buff everything I use and nerf everything else. I think the game still has a long way to go, it just feels like it losing it a little sometimes.

I bought the gold and silk outfit for Claudette a while ago and now it's in the rift. Surely they don't want me or anyone else to want to buy the rift.
Literally the only items that appeal to me is the Huntress horse mask (paid lvl1), legions checkered past (paid 27), Legion Empty stare (paid 37) and that's it.
It just seems like for some reason like players just want more goofy coloured hair to unlock. Also what is this 22 supposed to be?
Not played in about 4 or 5 months and I'm about to see what state killer is in.

They said that the sensentivity figure you use normally should remain the same but once you adjust it again the new spectrum of sensitivity will enable a slower and much faster sensentivity speed on controller.

Fungoose is an extremely good killer and Survivor. He has very high standards and kicks himself when his standards slip. He's a genuinely nice person who just likes to get perfect results and understand how to play at a consistent optimally whilst not relying on the known crutch perks to win.
He honestly makes the others mentioned before look average in most cases. He's just very strategic.

And there it is. Can't have a normal conversation without these people.
Without these people stating the obvious and clear counterplay to noed.
If you want a discussion with only people who share your point of view then what's the point having a discussion in the first place.

Hate to say it, but queue times is not a dev problem. Your region has more survivor players than killers
Queue times are definitely a problem for the Devs. You can't really blame the players wanting to overwhelmingly play Survivor over killer. In the face of it the actions of the Devs led to this issue for not addressing the fundamental issues around playing killer.
It is fixable but any progress they seem to make feels way too late to give players a piece of mind and sense of joy when things are working fine. There's always frustrating issues like this cropping up relatively often.
-
Rank 6 Survivor after not playing for a while and I have up searching after a 15 mom wait. Went over to killer and got an instant lobby.
I'm not a patient guy, if it takes 15 minutes to search for a Survivor match I'd rather not play at all. I hope the Devs do something about it.
-
@ChainsawCharlie Exactly that. It would be nice if the passives would be kinda useful to the character, I know and they've proved they can just give the passive or a useless unrelated perk on some killers. For example making Demogorgan able to kick pallets 10% faster when he can shred instead or silencing Leatherfaces locker search when you can hear him loudly as is.
-
I'm ready to be underwhelmed by a nun rip off in an almost identical map to Father Campbell's chapel. The carnival swapped out for a little graveyard and the main building looking like an actual church where nuns obviously live.
-
On Xbox I waited 15 minutes for a survivor game until I decided to switch to killer, found a game instantly.
Seems normal to me.
-
The way I see it is that the character you play as has very little depth whichever role you play. The go to "gen rush" healing and farming builds are and have always been meta, having more opportunities for synergies wouldn't make it more unbalanced and open the door for new strategies to take place to encounter different types of teams each match.
Also just because a killer looks different or attacks differently it doesn't make them incomparable to one another, like it or not they're basically just skins and a new attack mechanic at most in some cases.
And the argument that everyone will just play Claudette because she's hard to find, well surely having something on other survivors to help with the stealthing playstyle would be a better choice.
-
@Fibijean said:
They do, we just call it a "power" rather than a "passive".
I would argue that the killer passive/power isn't a passive ability and just the attack mechanic.

I, too, enjoy hiding in the same locker for 15 minutes, getting out occasionally to avoid stillness crows, or hiding behind a rock at the corner of the map while the Killer searches aimlessly.
You're right that people like Killer-Survivor interaction, you know what game mechanic exists to cause Killer-Survivor interaction? Generators.
Just because generators make a hotspot for killer v Survivor interaction doesn't mean it's the golden and only way by any means that is bettered by nothing else.
You don't see generators in a 1st person shooters multiplayer to make the objective portion of the map be more active for both teams. You get different models, domination zones, flags, bomb sites. That's because there are so many ways to force player v enemy interaction. Even Deathgarden did it differently from making Survivors cash in their blood at a blood post.
I think the game would be a lot more fun more often without generators. If it was a game based around survival for players then it would remove a lot of the frustration there is with teammates being useless or a liability to the team.
Surviving a timer would be far easier to balance than it is to address gen times everytime you release an update and tweak some things.
People shouldn't be shaming new ideas due to "how will they balance that" arguments. I am pretty sure generators will still be the main objective in 5 years time but there is no harm in suggesting changes which are good for the game.

It is never going to be enough for you. Let's be honest they had said 20%, you would have run the numbers and then said, that isn't enough you should have done 25%. It will never be enough for people who moan constantly about gen times until it takes 20mins per generator with survivors.
Manage your time better. Get better. Stop asking the devs to do all the work for you. There are plenty of people out there who 4k with any of the killers in red ranks against SWF with toolboxes etc and whatever other excuses you come up with as to why you lost. Just because YOU can't do it, doesn't mean it isn't possible or that the game needs to be balanced around your lack of ability.
I wouldn't call stupid gen times a killer lack of ability. I guarantee Survivors will easily be able to complete a full gen before the killer can get there. When you say "it'll never be enough for you" I can't help but think that you're just sick of complaining in general that being in disagreement with this guy's point.

Wasnt really a killer nerf either. Its weaker on low tier killers but much stronger on top tier killers.
Remember the official line from BHVR is that Ruin wasn’t nerfed, it was just changed.
Or is it now considered a nerf?
It's impossible to completely change something and for it to have the same effect. If that was the case, why would they have bothered changing it.
So many people clutching at straws looking for something with substance to complain about. All the whining is a long time coming, if you don't like the changes then go play something else if you're gonna cry everytime the game is touched in some way.

All Kate would do if she was free is sit on a field playing her guitar.
I would say someone who can convince the president that the entity exists so they end up making a Stargate portal to go between earth and the entity's realm.
Probably Ash Williams, Bill probably has a few contacts but he doesn't seem believable because his vision might deceive him. Maybe Claudette, Jane probably has a TV presence so it'll get a lot of traction if she disappears then reappears.
The others just don't seem important enough to be listened to or probably wouldn't care about learning more about how to stop the entity from taking more people.
Zarina maybe with her camera showing all the scoops on what went on.

"... an over-glorified cold" The death rate for covid-19 seems to differ from one place to another. In Italy so far there are 15,729 people who recovered, and 12,428 deaths. Which means almost half those who gets tested positive die. In that region it seems to be a lot more severe than a cold.
You definitely have inaccurate statistics. However it is widely known that a lot more people have and have had the virus than the confirmed cases. The confirmed cases recorded are generally those being treated in hospital. Coronavirus isn't something that is being diagnosed unless it's putting you in hospital.
Lots of people have it and it does very little if nothing at all but due to the risk of passing it on these cases cannot be confirmed by a professional.
The mortality rates are inaccurate due to the cases only including those in hospital already in a bad state.
The mortality rate is likely between 0.1 - 0.4% of those infected. Precautions should be taken but remember to be real about it.

Seeing a lot of replies here whinging how the RE Devs have Xbox as their preferred platform. You must be insane. They must be insane to do such a thing. They haven't done this thing...
Which is why the Steam and PS4 players have had to wait for the fix to take place and for the game to be available.
The game is insane fun, both roles is surprisingly well balanced and all round very interesting with so little of the game being available in beta.
There's 3 types of people complaining about it.
1. Angry extremely defensive dbd players who bash everything which they can.
2. "Hardcore" RE players who despise the modernization and improvement of the recent RE games.
3. People who have played and don't understand or like the game enough to want to buy it.
-
I hate to be that one guy but people of a young age (school age depending on specific age group) shouldn't be playing dbd.
It's certificate rating varies across the world but I know there's a lot of really young people playing that shouldn't. I'm talking about those under 13 who I think should really be playing something else.
It's one thing having fun but it's another being exposed to harmful material unsuitable for young teens and below especially with the violence, toxicity and ill nature of a lot of players.
I'd let it slide if you're 13,14+ and you are fully aware of the dangers but I know for sure that many are not and they will be playing this 24/7 when they shouldn't really.
-
No
It would never be allowed to happen with RE Resistance coexisting with dbd.

If anything times like these should call for each and every one of us to be respecting The Hag. Give them a knock on their door, ask if they need any help with grocery shopping and keep them upto date and welcome to get in contact with you if they need to. Also advise social distancing measures and remind them to wash their filthy hands for at least 20 seconds frequently.
Remember to take precautions and assume they have devour hope and keep your distance.
You shouldn't be trying to put make it harder for Hags to defend the gens.
-
@tippy2k2 said:
My only issue with hag is unlike trapper, you have no way to disarm (or realistically, even just see) the traps she sets.
The only thing you can do is sprint by to trigger them all and hope either she chases after you to let someone else unhook or she kills a bunch of time resetting her traps, letting everyone else do gens.
There is no need for a risk free way to deactivate the killers power.
-
Here we go again.
If you want the hag nerfed to oblivion just come out and say it.
She's not even strong. The vast majority of hags get obliterated at red and purple ranks and no-one is able to play her too much before all gens are done.
-
I think the latency the game is run on is SIMPLY AMAZING. Dedicated servers (if you even have them) are astonishingly good and it always has been. I don't understand why people get so petty when they feel like they were hit unfairly from across the map. Deal with it. This is a game of cat and mouse and if you wanna sit and eat cheese and complain you get got then you only have yourself to blame.
-
Obviously karma for some of the bad actions you did in dbd involving a certain clicky clicky. Not a bug nothing to see here. Move along.

Are you implying that solo queue survivors don't know to do gens when one survivor is getting chased?
What ranks do you play where that isn't the case.
The point was this Oni has literally one perk, is clearly very new to the game and definitely the killer, and is a poor argument for this problem. And posting stupid stuff like this actually defeats the argument he is trying to make. The fact that the SWF team is red/purple ranks makes this all the worse.
Now if this was a rank appropriate killer with rank appropriate perks and he still got skunked this bad it might hold some merit, but it's not. It's a baby killer who got bullied, which is frustrating to see, but it doesn't prove the point about generator speed.
The other factor is I'm sure the chases were long and pointless for the killer, a good killer that can limit chases effectively wouldn't spend all four-five gens chasing one survivor without downing them. That's the other point, as cliche as it sounds, if you can end chases quickly and pressure survivors, generator speed isn't quite the insurmountable obstacle it appears to be.
What's even dumber is the "perkless" for survivors doesn't mean much when the killer was essentially perkless too. Perks mean way more to killers as they often affect the whole survivor team or the entire map, while survivor perks are often individual based or at most affect a teammate being healed or unhooked. To pretend that survivors and killers need perks in equal measure is false.
Like I said, this particular example does nothing to show the problem, and if anything actually makes the problem easier to blame on baby killers or people not knowing what to do.
The reason why I see it as a mostly swf problem is because when I play solo queue people disconnect every game if they're not suiciding on hook. Swf Don't do that. Solo queue relies on each player not wanting to eject themselves or playing purposely bad. That could be the difference between an easy win or a massive loss.

Um, that doesn't support your argument, if anything it pretty much negates it.
Look, I'm a killer main and I agree generator speed is kind of a pain right now, but a match against what is basically a baby killer while your team is red and purple is pretty bad at showing this. If anything it's just another example of BHVR's terrible matchmaking.
It's hard to determine if the reason you guys pop 3 gens quickly is cause of game mechanics or more the fact that this Oni is clearly still learning.
If it takes you 4 minutes to do gens... It takes 4 minutes to do gens. The rank of the killer doesn't matter because once someone is in a chase everyone else can...wait for it...Do Gens.
I don't see what is so hard to understand.
This is exclusively a swf problem. Solo queue Survivor is a completely different story.

The Xenomorph is meant to be an unstoppable, terrifying, killing machine.
The last thing we need is that legacy ruined by survivors t-bagging it at the exit gates.
I bet you were ok with the xenomorphs in Colonial Marines being killable which was a terrible game.
Why use that argument if dbd wouldn't be the first to abandon the 'lore' that it must be invincible and insanely strong. A xenomorph could still be super strong but handicapped in other ways.

Alien, SCISSORMAN, Matilda (Mrs Trunchbull), Terminator, Predator, Dave from I.T, Penny-wise from IT, The wendigo looking creatures from a Quiet Place (insane hearing but blind), Deadites, Jason, Pinhead, The mummy from the mummy movies, RA, giant boulder from Indiana Jones, and Adolf himself from Wolfenstein or Zombie army trilogy or something.
Anything less then I'm uninstalling. You have 24 hours.

Like built in fire up. Who even uses fire up as a perk anyways.

Survivors always care more about where the Killer is not How the killer is feeling.
-
We need Rasputia Latimore and some old granny person who has a perk that lets you clap the killer with her croc.
-
I used it my first time to insta a survivor that got unhooked after looping the killer for a fair amount. How well they can keep the killer busy is what I'm gonna look for before I use the perk in dangerous situations.
Denying death hook on Survivors is a nice thing to do.

I'm pretty sure Killer mains have been in that position alot earlier and a whole lot more frequent. You're probably right that less killers and Survivors will play down the line but that's where cross platform comes in. I want my SCISSORMAN and Matilda chapter before then.
-
If you want to punish those who DC multiple times deliberately. The best solution is to give a penalty worthy of exactly that. Punishment is key.
If you DC 3 times in one rank reset it should tell you that any more then you'll face a ban until next rank reset.

I remember yesterday something which kept driving me up the wall was randomly stopping in place not being able to move for half a second and facing a slightly different direction as Deathslinger, very annoying.
-
I've had a few times where I crouched, killer shot and instead of running away o was stuck in crouch. I wanted to make for the pallet but I ended up having to bounce over there which got me hit.
-
He's only fun when you get the shots you deserve. Sometimes aiming especially on console can look like it's directly hitting the Survivor but nothing happens.
I had Survivors pull a pallet down after I had already shot them before, it's annoying and completely nullifys his power making him the worst killer in the game at that point.
He's only half decent when he plays fluidly and he just doesn't in console with his framerate lingering around 4fps and the rng choosing coldwind farm because it knows.
-
I don't think they are. They were deactivated about 3 weeks ago almost immediately after they were launched and they haven't said anything since. I heard it was because people were being matched in a server on the other side of the world but I don't really know the exact reasons behind deactivating them.
They need to come back up asap. Every match has a DC, P2P connections are consistently unstable. Based on personal experience. The only negative about dedicated servers is the "dedicated hits" you can sometimes receive as Survivor.
I think getting dedicated is better than teammates ragequitting just because the killer looked at them or something.
-
They fixed it a little when doc was reworked but since then it's consistently been getting worse.
It's almost like the game can't process the actions of 5 players simultaneously doing stuff. I don't really get it myself, my teammates could be crouching in a bush and I'll still end up rubberbanding everywhere or just freezing in place every couple of matches.
-
I think he might need a tiny bit of auto aim when swaying over a target mainly shooting over short obstacles in loops. Too often it just hits the obstacle whenever it looks like it should have hit the Survivor because you have to keep a perfect horizontal line to track the Survivor which is a lot tougher on controller.
I kept finding me shooting either too high or way too low when tracking a Survivors movement while ads.
